Needed a mechanic and defaulted to this one because it was within walking distance from my house. I'm so glad I ended up here. As far as I can tell he's genuine. He was straight with me and didn't try to sell me what I didn't need. The dealership told me I needed brakes all the way around and wanted to charge me $1400!! For brakes! Sean told me even on the phone before, he even looked at it, that it likely didn't need both but he would check them out for me. Turns out I still have about 50% life on the front brakes. He could have taken that extra money but didn't. I appreciate that!

Sean is great mechanic. He analyzed my Honda Civic stall hesitation problem quickly and repaired it with a fair and honest price. I took the car to the Honda dealership and they brushed me off. Highly recommend Murphy Family Auto Repair with Sean and Jessie they make a great team.

I will never go to another shop. I'm always treated like a family member and never just another dollar bill walking through the door. Love being able to trust Sean and his staff knowing I'm not going to get raked through the mud with bogus fixes or charges. They tell you everything you need to know up front and are very reliable with the times they give. Best shop I have been too in a very long time and will always recommend to anyone even if it's just for routine maintenance. Recently took my truck here for a repair. The final bill ended up being a little less than what I was initially quoted and I got the truck back a full day sooner than expected! Excellent job!

Sean is fantastic! He was able to get us in and out, same day over a holiday weekend no less!! Price was fair, he was very upfront and honest. No attempts to upsell or tell me I needed things I don't. I will definitely be sending referrals his way.

Usually very fantastic, but this last time not so much. Set an appointment 5 days in advanced as earliest as I could as this was important to get done. Even though I dropped it off 8 am it didn t get looked at till 3pm which is unfortunate cause I thought that s what the point of scheduling appointments was for .Was quoted 1080$ and that it should be done before the end of the following day .I didn t have the time for that so I had to take it to a competitor to have it looked at and re-quoted . After their inspection turns out it I didn t need some of the replacement suggestions from Murphy and saved myself 600$ and another 24hr+ without a vehicle.Service: Brake service & repair

Sean and his staff were fantastic! If you need a family mechanic, then Murphy Family Auto Repair is your place! The lobby area was nice and large with a big TV. There was refrigerated bottled water, coffee and lollipops available (great since my 3 kiddos were with me when picking up our van). The bathroom was clean too! I appreciated the consistent communication over the phone, especially when I had our van towed to his shop for an unexpected engine repair. His pricing was fair and honest. I live in South Chandler and this place was worth the drive for repair (and future servicing). I can't recommend them enough!Service: Engine repair

They always do a terrific job from scheudling thru work being complete - the experinces we have had here have been beyond amazing. In a word that really holds no value on customer serivce anymore Murphy still does and that is why no matter the issue we have with any of our autos , now and to the future we will always pick this shop first. Very trustworthy

Sean and his team stayed until 10 pm on Friday night finishing up our car so we could have it for the holiday weekend. Above and beyond! Highly recommend this shop. Fantastic customer service and they spend quality time actually diagnosing issues and not pushing unnecessary repairs.

Love Murphy Family Auto, this is the only place I take my vehicles. Honesty isn't something you hear often when talking about a mechanic, but Murphy's goes above and beyond. I have only great things to say about Sean and his staff, I would highly recommend Murphy's to anyone needing a reputable mechanic.

I am so glad I tried them. Extremely friendly staff, very, very clean business, Very fair cost. So happy they are right next to where I used to go(an auto repair place that went out of business) Today was my first visit there and I give the over all experience an A+++They are my new auto repair service and I will tell others about how great they are.Service: Auto maintenance

Took my daughter's Honda to the local dealership for a recall service and asked them to give the car 'the once over' while they had it. They called me with an expensive laundry list of "needed" repairs. I picked the car up and took it to Sean and asked him to check it out and tell me what he thought. We ended up getting the repairs that were truly needed, eliminated all the dealership 'upsells' and it cost about half of what I had been quoted. Plus, they repaired her motor mount, which was making her car sound like a tank for the past couple of years. It now sounds and drives like a normal car! My daughter and I are both very pleased with the service, quality and honesty we received at Murphy Family Auto Repair. I will always go there from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Sean really came through for my dad today. We had a belt issue with his car, and we had it towed to the shop. Sean ordered the parts before we arrived, which was after 4p, and they managed to get it done the same day by about 6:30. We appreciate them staying late the day before Thanksgiving! Great staff, clean, modern facility. I'll be back if the need arises and would also recommend them to friends. Thanks again Murphy Family Auto!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Sean and his crew are great. He has taken the time to discuss my issues with my vehicles and really listen to what my concerns about my vehicle are. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain his professional opinion on them. I highly recommend Murphys!

Murphy's was great. We had an emissions problem we had been dealing with for months. They were knowledgeable and pinpointed the problem right away. They went out of their way to get the parts we needed at a price we could afford. We have experienced no further problems and are happy that we found a good mechanic.

So accommodating and nice.They were booked up and still managed to get me in for an oil change so I wouldn't have to wait until the next week. They both were kind and professional! When I first got my car I had them change oil and a tune up. Not to long after that I had to have my brakes done. They also did my inspection for Uber. They are awesome down there at the shop. Very polite and explain everything to you. Very reasonable on price and don't try to make more off of you with repairs you don't need. I tell everyone about them Services: Brakes, Oil change

My Chevy Tahoe had several issues, Air bag repair light, broken motor mounts, brakes, and suspension issues. I had taken my Tahoe to a different shop prior, and their quote was much higher. I needed a legitimate and honest estimate of repairs and cost. Sean took the time to not only give me a reasonable quote, but he explained to me in detail, which repairs I needed and why I needed them.He completed the work as promised.I m a no BS kind of person. These guys are rock stars to say the least! I took my car in late Tuesday with my check engine light on and low oil pressure! Not only did they fix the check engine light very quickly but they noticed my oil level was down due to the last oil change not being done properly! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for automotive repairs being done! Also they fixed something I didn t even ask them to do so they went above and beyond any expectations I had !!!!!!! Thanks you so much!!!Service: Engine repair

Nice clean place, but very expensive. Most brake jobs run between $89-$149 per axle. Plus parts. They wanted over $600, for rear shoes. I almost laughed in her face. The place was very empty of customers and cars. They do not have competitive prices.

Sean is a very professional mechanic very knowledgeable, and when it came to the cost it was very reasonable,had a couple issues with the engine he replaced out of his control that were caused by the other company but he got it resolved fixed and all taken care of. I highly recommend murphys family auto. Thanks again to Sean and his crew.

Awesome place. They did an amazing job getting my A/C ice cold on my old vehicle that I will be passing down to my daughter within the next year. I will return for my auto repairs and maintenance here. Great service and work. Thanks for all of your hard work.

I'm 63 years old, and have been working on cars since age 8. Worked professionally, at 3 different shops. (Back in the 70's - 80's - NO computers!) The last one, I quit, after seeing how the guy was ripping people off. I told him "You are the reason people hate mechanics"! Sean is NOT that guy! VERY Fair, Honest, and Knowledgeable! This shop is by far the best place I have found. The owner is very kind, honest and knowledgeable. He gave prices for the best quality parts at a fair rate. There was no trying to upsell, just the true diagnostic and I had my car back/fixed the very next day. I love to support local business, I thought I had found a great repair shop to frequent.I had even gone as far as referring people. My friend had scheduled an appointment for an oil change but due to a miscommunication of the staff, she received bad service and had left feeling as though it was a major inconvenience to everyone involved.
