I had a little 'oops' with my new truck and wiped out the driver's side mirror. I tried to call the dealer, but they didn't call back. I went online and they were two weeks out JUST for an estimate. I called Gerber and they answered right away. YAY! A shop that answers their phone. Because it was a safety issue, they got me in right away. The part had to be ordered from out-of-state and they still got me back in the next day. The service was EXCELLENT!! The price was much less than expected and I am a happy happy camper. I already have an appointment scheduled for a client's car in April. Gerber will be at the top of my list for any issues going forward - for me and for my clients. THANK YOU!!!!

Terrible company. This is the second time I ve had to deal with these clowns. Last time they put huge scratches all over my van hood by placing their tool bags on it. The door they fixed wouldn t even open or unlock. It took them weeks to figure that out, and that s after they had my van for over 2 months .and it never got fixed. I had to trade the van in.This time they have my 2006 scion Xb with over 240,000 miles on it. So far it s taken them over 5 weeks to figure out if it should be totaled. Really? How hard is that to figure out? I ve called down there several times and am told the manager is working on it . They always tell me they ll call me back, but never do. So terrible communication needless to say. Very frustrating place to deal with and I would not recommend them to anyone.Note: these 2 experiences were at 2 different locations too. So it doesn t seem to matter which one you go to. It s a business ethics issue I guess.

I stopped by the shop and made a appointment for a quote on a repair. I waited a about a week and showed up for the 2:30 pm appointment on 2-24-22 I was seen until 2:45pm the shop was clean and everything looked perfect. Very professional and detailed. By all means I recommend this shop. Once I was met the individual doing the bid on the damaged was fast and very helpful. I still Give 5 stars. Work on appointment time being met because if a customer is willing to wait a week for an estimate in today's instant society they expect promptness on that time set. Thanks .

I was recently hit and my insurance company selected Gerber Collision to fix my car. This is the worst car repair I've ever had. My headlights don't match, the front end of my car where I was hit vibrates, the engine vibrates at idle in "drive", & my steering wheel shakes at high speeds now. I've learned that the tire I had on that wheel was at less than half the tread of my other 3 tires. Uneven wear happens, but not like that. Even with the quarter panel dented in my car not only sounded better, it ran better when I dropped it off. 0 stars, do not recommend. Extremely unsatisfied customers.

They were a preferred mechanic with my insurance so I sent my car here after I was in an accident. Very little communication while my car was there. I received my car back after a few weeks and immediately knew it wasn t right. The steering was completely off and the lane assistant would work. The car would immediately pull to one side and the steering wheel was put back on properly. So I called John came and test drove it and confirmed everything that I told him. So I drop it back off he claims I will get it back the next day as it is an easy fix. He claimed it was a bad tire, even though the dealership as well as discount tire had just inspected my tires and said they were fine as there is less than 20,000 miles on them. It took them 5 days to replace the tire. He was so condescending about the steering wheel as well. So I finally get my car back and they left my car with less than a gallon of gas, I dropped it off with under half a tank of gas. I had 2 miles left until I would be pushing my car out of their parking lot.The only decent person was the front desk women.

Local detailer here.. If you have a dark colored car STAY FAR AWAY! Had my front end redone by them on my black challenger waited my 90 days to finally hand wash my car I was shocked by the body work they ve done. You ll leave with the car looking great due to the amount of silicones they put on the paint to hide the actual repair they ve done on the machine but once you ve waited the amount of time until you can wash the car you re left with a rainbow effect on the paint and sticky residue. Who ever is working the body machine FYI you can t just use a rotary machine because then you re left with the rainbow effect if you spent the time on the DA machine after the rotary for another hour and half the car would look perfect. It s either laziness or incompetence but this was the worst place I could have gone currently going to talk to insurance to have someone pay me back since I ll have to repair it properly on my own time to think that my insurance even recommended them is disgusting in itself save your nice vehicles and go somewhere else.Service: Body & Trim

Took my car in for an insurance repair. Before the repair my satellite navigation and USB charging ports in my center column worked perfectly fine. When they returned the car to me these items no longer work.Gerber tried to get my insurance to pay to fix, and claim that aftermarket parts and wires are why they can't fix something they broke. Aftermarket parts I did not know were in the vehicle. They have narrowed the issue down to wiring, but again, won't fix the car to the state it was in before they worked on it.Service: Auto windshield repair

Very professional & friendly service. My insurance was great and sent me here and the best experience I have had with a car repair company. They took the time with my car and kept me in the loop each day. They went above and beyond to help make my car look amazing.

John looked after me. I was afraid the adjuster would total my car. It's a '98 Toyota Camry I bought new. I have taken excellent care of it. Just put $3K into it. It has 107k miles. Every mechanic that has worked on it tells me not to get rid of it. In 25 years other than regular maintenance, repairs have cost $7K. Besides being a great car, I couldn't buy another one. It was close but John made it work. John had already gone above what you get today, he delivered my car to my home! If you want excellent workmanship, my car looks new, service without compare, chose Gerber's on Hampton Ave., Mesa. Thank you so much. We've been to this location several times over the last few years and they have been so great with us. I was involved in a pretty scary car accident this month and they have just been great helping me deal with getting my car fixed. Ruth is a bull dog and will fight for you! John has been great with keeping in touch with me and being honest with me about my car. I feel much better knowing that they care not just about the cars they fix but about us as people. I won't go to another body shop again. They have my trust for life!Service: Body & Trim

Had my car repaired for mild damages. The service was bad, lack of communication, one headlight was fixed due to repair, no one called to ask if I wanted the other replaced as well so that it could match. The service was over priced. I would recommend one to use another repair shop, and or if using Gerber Collision, do not go to the location in Mesa on Hampton.

We have been fortunate enough to have discovered this place so close to home. We have brought our car in 3 times now, and have been treated with respect each time, our car always looks wonderful and everyone is especially nice. Ruth is just a great person to talk with and explains things we don't understand. John and Ruth went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of extra special this last time due to some extenuating circumstances. I am very greatful for them.

First time with Gerber. Last time with Gerber. Should have stayed away when they took days to get back with the Insurance. I called for a follow up and John is just down right rude. 4 weeks later, still not a peep from them. Guess I m not worth their time.

Quality, Care and great Customer service. From the moment I entered, I knew it was going to be a great experience. Ruth the Office Manager or at least should be, greeted me. explained the process and introduced me to Christian. This technician took the time to explain the How, the Who, When , Where and made sure I had a full time table of the repair before I left my vehicle. Ruth had a driver take me to get a great discounted rental car. Christian sent me texts to keep me completely updated as to how the repairs where going. my car came back cleaner than it probably ever been, the paint came back better than new from the dealer. That's right better than the Dealer. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. A true one stop repair shop. Thanks to all the folks at Gerber.

I was in an accident a few months ago. I brought my car to Gerber Collision & Glass in Mesa, right across the street from Costco. It was seriously some of the best service I've had. The people went above and beyond and got my car done so quickly. I'd highly recommend them. Jon was fantastic and so was the receptionist!

Since the first contact, John was a great person to talk to. Ruth, the wonderful lady that answers the phone, was always pleasant to talk to. They took care of my car like it was there own. I drive an M3, and John recognized that right off the bat, knowing it was a special model, having just worked on one before i took my car in. I also placed some additional items in his queue for him to work on for me, and he didn't even blink. My car was supposed to be ready on Friday, and received a call from him (as well as a text and an email, talk about pro-active) letting me know that they got some last minute parts in late on Friday, and my car wouldn't be ready. Now, this is Memorial Day weekend, and I got a call Saturday morning (mind you, shop employees don't work on the weekend) letting me know my car would be finished around 11 a.m. His shop guy came in on his day off (John enticed him to pay him some extra overtime hours, at his cost!), and John called in his detailer to get the car cleaned up for me before i got there. Treated like a king. Will most definitely be going back here for any future body work. Great place, great work, great prices, great customer service.

I went in for an estimate last Monday and here it is Saturday, the following Saturday and I still haven't heard from Gerber. My insurance companies called me twice and wanted to know what's going on. I don't hear from Gerber by Monday I'm just going to set up an estimate somebody else.

Was rear ended and they came up on USAA as an approved vendor. Turn around was quick and everyone was very polite and professional. Got an estimate on a Friday, dropped it off Monday night and they had it ready for me Tuesday afternoon.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

If I could give you a zero I would. Terrible customer service and communication skills. First it took them forever to get an estimate... My car just sat there for days even though I had a "next day" appointment. Then they took it upon themselves to begin working on it without discussing it with me. I sent my girl to pick up my car to take it to another shop. When she walked in the receptionist was too busy on a personal phone call to even look up. When she finally did, no apologies were made. She was very awkward and strange and the first thing she did say was "your boyfriend doesn't like me. He called and his name is common so I confused him." Mind you every time I called for an update she would answer and have no idea what car, customer, or in general what she was talking about. We also had to wait 30 minutes for them to reassemble the car we never asked them to work on. No bueno.

6 MONTH UPDATE: Paint is flaking off my hood, primer and color are gone exposing bondo. John had it warrantied and put me in a rental. Great office just iffy techsUpdated April 1, 2019: Christian reached out about my review and had me get in touch with John their manager. John explained the dull patches in the paint as a mistake during their detail process and the oily spot was from a plastic rejuvenation product. John had me bring the car back so they could detail it properly and paid for an uber to get me there and back. My original review gave them 3 stars but after watching them bend over backwards to help me they deserve all 5I really want to give them 5 Stars but I cant. On a good note Ruth and Christian are the best! Ruth is super nice, and Christian addressed all of my concerns and got me a rental when I had to bring my VW back.If you want the TL;DR, their office workers are great but their technicians must be lazy/or just not care because my car still isnt fixed. I'd honestly reccomend another shop because the people that actually work on the car do subpar work.They've now had my car twice now and it's still not fixed. The first time I got my car back it they didnt refill the coolant. The reservoir was bone dry when I got home and had it not been for the short distance between my house and Gerber, they would be replacing my car. Christian was nice enough to send a technician to my house to fill it up but that's still a critical fluid that should've been checked after the car had its radiator replaced. The hood was also damaged in the accident but my insurance admitted they should've put it on the estimate, and told me they'll arrange to have Gerber fix the hood. I just got the car back a second time and now there's patches in the driver fender where someone leaned against the car while the clearcoat was fresh, theres a white/gray spot where I'm assuming someone sanded through the color while prepping the car. The hood also has this weird oil slick looking spot that I'm hoping is from whatever they use to detail the car and will go away on it's own. The office people are great but their technicians dont pay attention so I'll probably end up taking the Golf to a different Gerber to have these issues addressed under their warranty.Service: Body & Trim

They did an outstanding job repairing our explorer. Dent repair and paint match absolutely spot-on. You also can't beat the friendly professionalism from everyone on the staff. Very Highly Recommended.

Ruth and Bernie are the nicest people in there, fixed me jeep up good as new. even had it done early which was pretty cool, they are fast, professional and have the best customer service. plus they keep you updated via text message which was a nice touch. thank you folks.

Great follow up. GM john reached out listened to my concerns, offered alternatives (scheduling) and other things to meet my needs AND provided the service I was delighted by last time I gave them my business. Still need to make my appointment which I will do today

First, told me to come between 5:30-6 pm to pick up my vehicle. I tell the woman I can come by 6:30 at the latest. Turns out they close at 6, why would you put a pickup so close to closing..? Second, tried charging us the full amount for what insurance was meant to cover, and then pretended like we didn t show proof of insurance and somehow magically lost all documentation. Then while my wife is with our three week old in the lobby, the weird ass receptionist starts talking about how she beats her kids with a paddle for discipline... um thanks for the unsolicited parenting advice, but we don t plan on beating our baby. Not good small talk for the woman and infant. And, we have proof that we ordered a new grill and would pay full price for it, they didn t even put the order in. So I give it a two star for them staying half an hour past closing and repairing the vehicle. Wouldn t recommend lol
