CVT Transmission...Carmine upgraded my CVT transmission on my 2022 Can Am X3 Turbo RR to handle 260hp now. He did an Awesome job! New Helix, Rollers and both springs. Definitely my transmission guy. I Highly recommend him to take care of your transmission needs. Honest service. Great guys

I have been dealing with a shutter issue on my pick up for almost 2 1/2 years. I have taken it to several mechanics including another transmission shop that was highly rated. All either said they knew exactly what the issue was, charged me to do the repairs and it didn t fix it, or couldn t quite figure it out but still charged me for the inspection. I have spent way too much money trying to figure this issue out. Carmine not only figured out the problem, he explained it to me in a way that I could understand without making me feel silly for asking questions and was understanding of my challenging his diagnosis because of my previous experiences. Because I was in the process of selling the vehicle and wanted to get the repair done with the least amount of expense simply because I ve invested so much already, he gave me a few options with complete transparency on the outcomes which allowed me to make an educated decision that best fit my needs. I will truly be a customer for life because of his honesty and willingness to provide options that worked best with my budget. Thank you!

I'm a month in to the transmission rebuild on my 1970 Chevy truck, and I couldn't be happier. The only problem is that I'm burning a lot more fuel since the truck is so much more fun to drive now. Carmine finished the truck a day ahead of schedule, and for the price agreed upon. He explained everything to me in easy to understand terms, without talking to me like an idiot. I will send every person I know with transmission issues to Gearbox. 10\10 for sure.

Fantastic work by Carmine and his shop! He had a firm and fair quote on a full rebuild for my automatic 2009 Corolla and stood by the price. Now it s working perfectly again. Carmine is great with customer service, explained what he did and answered my questions. Also, the Gearbox Industries shop is new, shiny, clean and just looks like everyone there takes pride in a well maintained and organized business. Back in December, I needed a full transmission rebuild on my 2005 accord. Not the cheapest place, but good work and a good warranty. A couple weeks ago, my transmission started making some noises, they got it back in and fixed up with no issue. Highly recommended.

Gearbox Industries put an aftermarket clutch upgrade and installed a limited slip differential on my transmission. A bunch of other transmission shops refused to do that limited slip differential installation because it required taking the entire transmission apart. They did a great job and my transmission works beautifully.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I have a 2016 escape that barely made it to their shop. Dropped it off on Tuesday. Wednesday they called and let me know the transmission needed a rebuild, no suprise with 190k miles. Car was done and ready to be picked up by the following Tuesday. Nobody wants to pay for a full rebuild but after checking around they were priced right in the middle. The service and quality more than made it worth it. Thanks Carmine!

Carmin the owner was fantastic!!My car was in his shop for 7 weeks. The reason for that was Car shield. They gave us both the run around. It turns out they are a real scam and fraud. We both had to deal with them for hours on end to get anything done.Let me just say that Carmin was a total pleasure to work with throughout this process.If you need any transmission work done this is the place to go! Recommended by my Go To general repair shop, Interstate, when my '06 F150's transmission started showing its age (240k miles = on the way back from the moon).They got it done, called appropriately to ask about "while we're in here" fixes, charged a fair price, and told me to bring it back for a check-over in 1000 miles to make sure their rebuild has no issues.So far, so good.Nice to have the ol' workhorse back to feeling reliable again!

I was having problems with my 2006 suburban and was from California visiting my grandma. My husband found this shop and they had me in within 2 hours of him calling and had my vehicle for 3 hours and had called me with the problem. They had got it fixed within 24 hours! I m so thankful for you guys going above and beyond to help me get back home. I couldn t thank you guys enough. Was referred to Gearbox and do not regret it. Carmine was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He did a lot of work and did not charge for a diagnostic or any charges for that matter. If in the future I have any car problems I will not hesitate to go to Gearbox. Also, had to have the cleanest reception area and nice security by the name of Ginger!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Everyone is super knowledgeable and the service is top notch. They were able to get the transmission serviced on my 2011 f250 the same day and also checked everything to make sure there would be no issues in the future. I was so pleased with their work that I spoke with Carmine about a transmission I needed rebuilt for my 1974 F100. Carmine and the guys at Gearbox Industries went above and beyond to source parts that are no longer available and got it done quicker than expected. 10/10 would recommend this shop to anyone!Service: Transmission

Carmine and the guys out at Gearbox Industries did an outstanding job on rebuilding the transmission in my 2007 Ford Sport Trac. Price was on par with other shops, but the warranty offered is twice as long. Definitely recommend, 5 Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

These folks are experts in their trade and it shows from the moment you walk in the door, I had a kind of rare transfer case issue, and Carmine and Company tore it down for a very reasonable diag fee ... my future transfer case work will be going there for sure. This place is great! They are very honest and helpful!! We had an issue with our vehicle, that two mechanics said was a transmission problem. I was referred to a transmission mechanic who told me my transmission needed to be rebuilt. I wanted a second opinion and called around. When I spoke to Gearbox they said to bring in my vehicle and they would give it a diagnoses for free. So I took it to them. They said they couldn t get my vehicle to act up (as the issues were very intermittent). So they didn t feel it was a big concern at that point and that I could keep driving it. They said if it continued or got worse to bring it back. So I drove it for about a month. The problems were still intermittent, but were getting worse. So I took it back in. They rode around with me for 30-40 minutes as we tried to get it to act up, which it didn t. They did a few diagnostic things at the shop and determined it was my motor mounts and not the transmission. So I had them replace my motor mounts, all 4 needing to be replaced. They got the repair done in less than a day. Since the repair my car drives smoother and quieter than it has in who knows how long, and it doesn t have ANY of the issues it was having before. These guys saved me over $2,000 by not just rebuilding the transmission, because they wanted to accurately diagnose the problem and they didn t just want to blindly fix something that may not need fixing.Thank you so much for your honesty and hard work!!

Justin and Carmine are top notch. They do some of the highest quality work I have seen at a more than fair price. They communicate their findings along the way and return you a product as good or better than factory. They have done two transmissions for me and countless for others I have referred. Carmine , Keith & Justin were Great! Very Professional, Reasonably priced, kept within the range estimate. After diagnosis, asked me for verification before proceeding.Made suggestions to replace shaft seals & battery, also fair price. Excellent communication along the process. Heck, they even filled my gas tank & threw in a free t-shirt. Which I wear proudly. My 4x4/SUV is shifting nicely & I've been highly recommending everyone I run into about Gearbox. Carmine has excellent knowledge of the automotive industry, and totally went through the transmission repair process for me so that I could understand all that it entails. His pricing on my transmission was more than fair and the turnover time was great. My vehicle runs and shifts like I just drove it off of the lot. This would be my first stop if I shall need a transmission work in the future, and certainly recommend them.

Made the mistake of taking my truck to AAMCO to look into what I thought was a transmission problem. Was told I needed a transmission rebuild or replacement. Costing $$$. Decided to take it to Gearbox, whom was recommended by a friend, for a second opinion. And glad I did. Turns out it wasn't a transmission problem after all. They correctly diagnosed the real problem and took care of it, saving me lots of $$$. Now that's honest customer service. Carmine and the guys at Gearbox were a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend.

Was quoted over $3000 from a different company without them even looking at what could be causing the issue I was having. Justin was very professional and kept me updated through the whole process. Turned out it was a bushing and was I was charged under $150 to have it fixed. He also let me know about another issue and gave me a reasonable quote for the repair. I highly recommend these guys for any and all transmission work. I ll definitely be going back to them for all my transmission work I need in the future!Service: Transmission

Carmine and his staff at Gearbox Industries provided my husband and I with top-notch service at a reasonable price! Our 2011 Hyundai Sonata required some work that was completed the day after dropping it off! Doesn't get better than that. In addition, military and first responders are eligible for a discount. This is a honest, trustworthy, locally owned auto repair shop ~ we'll definitely be back!

Absolutely awesome shop! Clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. They saved me a ton of money. I went to get my transmission fluid changed at a big chain shop and they told me they wouldn t touch the truck unless they pulled the trans and did a full rebuild. I went to Gearbox industries for a second opinion and they followed the TSB that was posted for my vehicle which included a fluid change. My truck drives like it s new again and they saved me the money of a full trans rebuild for absolutely no reason. Will be back for any future that I need done.

I appreciate a group of folks like this, they are rare these days. Most places are unprofessional, unfriendly, run you in circles and fill you full of BS. Thanks Guys!

It is so hard to find a honest, reliable shop that wont take advantage of you (Single mom) and I am so thankful to have found Carmine and the great crew at Gearbox Industries to fix my transmission. I will absolutely refer them and use them again in the future should the need arise.

I drove in early for another transmission rebuild appointment and found this shop down the road. I decided to get a second opinion before going to my other. The customer service was amazing, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The office was impeccable, very covid-19 clean. They took my Jeep for a test, came back and told me it was the catalytic converter causing the issue not the transmission. I couldn t believe the honesty and no attempt to upsell. They recommend a local shop who replaces catalytic converters and I drove down, Wayde s discount muffler and brakes had the same down to earth approach and offered me a decent price to fix my issue. Thank you Gearbox for your help, I will definitely recommend my friends to you and give you my next business for sure.
