1974 f250 Highboy; just a regular 460 V8, All I can say for over $10000 dollars and months being in the shop, considering they had to redo their work on the transmission, I kept getting excuses for exhaust tips they never provided but payed for. I payed for exhaust work and they pieced it together without the tips, I had to weld in myself, they threw existing new parts for motor in back of truck no box or anything and put old parts back on. Went to get my truck for the second time and the Mechanic Levi got Extremely violent but I held my ground and got my truck out of there. We people/customers have no say so, these people can rip you off and have no conscious. They have no Honor! We are retired with little income. So I guess the BBB and channel 3 should know about my experience with engine masters. Eric cannot be trusted with a CC or debit card. Every time I ask for the name of transmission shop they couldn t provide me the info, itemized receipts for over $4000 they couldn t provide, are their Mechanics even qualified to rebuild a transmission? Or did they just put a kit in it and charged over $2000 for rebuild? These type of people call themselves Americans New Motor mounts but if you look at the washer they put in there not the right size, motor can lift up on that side. After getting it back second time I checked transmission fluid, had to add 3 quarts after being charged $60 for fluid. I added more photos of engine they let water get in but still installed it, butchered my truck for over $11000

I have taken my 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 to Engine Masters to have my engine rebuilt on March 06,2023. The rebuilt has been nothing but problematic with my car backfiring, bucking, spitting, stalling and blowing black smoke through the exhaust. Oh and it s still leaking engine oil. After taking my car back and forth for a whole year it s still leaking oil as I type this review. The engine issues were corrected after about 8 months.The initial quote was $8,986.87to have my engine rebuilt and the final payment was $13,646.17 which I paid in full. I was told by Steve that the first quote was an estimate. This shop calls themselves Engine masters when they can t fix an oil leak on the engine they rebuilt. I was back and forth for a year for them to fix the engine issues and oil leak (which still hasn t been resolved). I was taken my car back to them one time when my car bucked and spit which stalled on the highway . I had to have my car flatbed back to Steve s shop. I ve taken my car approximately 11 times back to this shop to rectify the problem, to no avail it s still Leaking. I ll will be incurring approximately another $2,000 to have my care repaired properly at another shop that knows what they re doing.Steve also charged me for a new carburetor and installed a rebuilt one ( I did get him to eventually install a new one). Steve used cheap parts including flimsy valve covers which leaked along with the manifold. He also had me take my car to a transmission shop saying that the transmission maybe leaking gear oil. The transmission shop confirmed that the valve covers were leaking (my transmission was also rebuilt last year).Steve will talk circles around the issue to divert the problem elsewhere. Of course he told me to bring it back again which would be 12 times already. I wouldn t bring my bicycle to this shop!Oh! The fat guy Eric who is a co-owner will only deal with you to take your final payment by bank certified check. But it was ok to take two previous personal checks from me. After you pay your final payment the fat guy Eric locks himself in his office and doesn t want to deal with you anymore.Of course Steve or Eric will have a comment in regards to this review saying how they did everything to satisfy me and spin things around. I have numerous mechanics look at my car and friends as witnesses that have been to this shop with me and know of all the problems I ve had. This place was my worst nightmare!Engine still leaking oil as I type this review a year later. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I believe I developed health issues from a years worth of stress.Below is just a couple of pieces of cardboard from oil leaking on them, I ve thrown out numerous pieces of cardboard with oil stains from my leaking rebuilt engine.

i highly recommend Engine Masters Automotive in Mesa. They installed a new engine in our Dodge Ram, there was total transparency of the work being done throughout the process. Their shop is extremely clean and organized. The engine was installed in a timely manner, and I found the business to be highly professional in all aspects. If you are looking for a quality service for your engine you should definitely use Engine Master Automotive in Mesa, AZ.

February 19, 2024, Engine Masters, Mesa and my 1941 Chevy Rebuild: I searched for several months for the right mechanic service that could rebuild the engine of my 2-door 1941 Chevy. I found a few options but chose Engine Masters to do the job. On my first visit of inquiry, I overheard the conversation about a vehicle between the owner and a customer while waiting. I was impressed with the owner's straight forwardness, knowledge and transparency. The customer left obviously very satisfied with the work that had been done. That made me decide on Engine Masters without reservation. Today was the completion day and reveal of the engine rebuild and install. The shop owner explained the work done with pride and detail. I was very impressed when the technician turned the key, and the engine began purring like a satisfied kitten. DONT GO TO ENGINE MASTER!!! On the surface this company seems like a great business with a ton of experience, but when it comes down to it they are nothing but a bunch of snakes. Stevie and his partner are the definition of a shady mechanic. I took my Honda Prelude to them in May 2023 in order for them to find out why my car was showing a low oil pressure. And after 3 attempts and $2500+ later my car is in worse shape then when I originally took it to engine masters. Anytime I wanted an update on the car I would have to wait a month and I would have to reach out every time. I did everything Stevie recommended I do myself in order to try and figure out the problem. In January after countless conversations and questions Stevie informed me I would need to spend another $1000-4000 in order to possibly fix my car. I had lost all trust and patience with engine masters so I informed Stevie in the middle of the week that I will be picking up my car on Saturday. When the tow truck arrived the gentleman had to wait almost an hour because they had to put the oil pan back on. But they never put it back and the car arrived with the oil pan in the trunk. Also was informed by the tow truck driver that they were talking disrespectful about me cause I wasn t interested in giving them more time and money. The car was fully assembled and in drive-able condition when it arrived to them, and when I received it was not fully assembled and in undriveable conditions. This whole experience was a complete disaster when it was supposed be an enjoyable experience and I m worse off now then when I originally started thanks to engine masters.The response from Engine Masters is not completely true. Engine Masters was informed that the car would be picked up 3 days in advance and 1 hour prior to pick up. I was also charged for 2 of the 3 diagnostic tests. Not to mention speaking in an argumentative and condescending way and hanging up on people without actually listening. The fact is there would have been nothing said to Engine Masters about anything had they simply returned the car fully assembled as it was received.

Don't walk run from these scammers! Charged me $13,000 for a 60k USED MOTOR INSTALLED. They called me back 4 times to increase my quote AFTER my motor was out of my truck. So I was stuck with them. Fat guy at front desk said because I was a few days late paying there ridiculous bill that he wasn't getting a pay check that week. (Give me a break, your business is in serious trouble if that is true.) Steve said he would help me out. He took $110 off my bill that is what they tried to stick me with for storage for 2 days. They billed me for ac freon AND NEVER INSTALLED. I had a different place put in freon. They told me it was done dry. Then to top it all off those A holes ripped my driver seat leather big time. So unless you think over 13k is a good deal for used ls motor don't go here. I would rather walk than give these scammers my business.

Friday morning - Truck won't start. Call Engine Masters, they get me in the same day and fixed by the next. Absolutely the best guys in town. I asked Steve on Saturday, how late do you stay? He said we stay until the job is done. Thank you Engine Masters!!

Steve was amazing!! From the beginning when we brought the BMW in for engine malfunction, until the motor was replaced.
