I called a ton of local and non local mechanics to work on my 1974 Honda CB360 & they all referred me to Eastside Performance. They were the only ones who were able to work on my vintage bike and have a master technician/mechanic who specializes not only on vintage bikes but my bike specifically. They are quick efficient and amazingly priced. My bike was not running and now it feel like it s been bought off the lot back in 1974 running like new. Thank You Guys for bringing my bike back to life.

I first was made aware of Eastside when I bought a 1986 Yamaha YX600 off a guy in north Phoenix. The bike had been sitting for years, and before putting it up on Craigslist, he had Eastside go through the entire bike to get it ready for the road and a new home. I bought the bike for maybe a bit more than it was worth at the time because of the extensive list of work that was done on it. The seller included the invoice that was just a little less than what I paid for the bike. I figured it was a good investment and peace of mind buying a 30 year old bike. Services completed included a carb cleaning, fork seals, oil change, brakes, and new tires among quite a few others to get the bike road worthy. This was my first vintage bike, and it was freshly rebuilt, so I had questions about how to care for it. I called Sean at Eastside, and he spent more time on the phone with me that he really needed to, especially considering he didn't even pay for the service. He remembered the bike, and told me some tips and tricks to keep it running properly. He was kind and generous with his time. That was in 2017, and I still own the bike. Eastside's work on it was so good in fact that I haven't even had to do another carb clean on it. It still runs are well as the day I bought it. Since then, I bought a project bike and Sean has been my go to for OEM parts and he even found a trick Hindle Exhaust system for me. They put new rubber, and sprocket on the wheels for me, balanced them, and even cleaned them up a bit (the bike was a real mess).Between the great service they did on the Yamaha, and my project Honda, the parts they continue to track down for me, and the volumes of advice Sean, and the mechanics have offered this wannabe amateur motorcycle mechanic, they have my business for life.Eastside is one of the last shops around that will work on anything. They are passionate about keeping old bikes on the road as well as working on new ones.If you or anyone is looking for parts, or quality work on their bike, so see Sean and the crew at Eastside. The motorcycling community needs them around.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

If you're new to the world of motorcycles, it's crucial to educate yourself and find a trustworthy mechanic who can offer complete transparency. Motorcycle shops have overhead costs to cover, and if you're unfamiliar with the industry, someone with "extensive experience" like Sean may take advantage of your lack of knowledge. He may dispute this claim, but given his purported expertise, one would expect a higher level of service.I have little confidence that I received the full value for my payment.Initially, I had concerns about my bike's carburetor system, but after a brief inspection by Sean, he seemed to prioritize other issues, stating that the carburetor problem wasn't severe enough. Instead, he directed my attention to an oil leak in the front fork, which I was already aware of before Sean pointed it out. He recommended replacing the "seals" and the front brake pads. One would assume that this includes both left and right brake pads, as well as both sides of the forks. While I generally support small businesses, Sean Murphy, the owner/salesman, initially appeared to be a decent person. However, I cannot recommend East Side Performances for the following reasons:1. They should take more initiative in building confidence among first-time riders entering the motorcycle world.2. They should provide a detailed written list of observations and recommended replacements. It's advisable to request pictures of the work in progress, including before and after shots, to ensure complete confidence. However, for many of these tasks, it may be more prudent to perform the work yourself.I paid a total of $620 for the following:1. Front fork seals (OEM Fork Seal Kit costs $22.09 each at Yamaha Parts Nation).2. Fork oil: $10-$30 (Available from Yamaha Parts Nation).3. Front RIGHT brake pad only (not the left side) (Brake Pad Kit from Yamaha Parts Nation costs $36.69 each).4. One dust cap ($28 at Yamaha Parts Nation). The total cost for OEM parts should be around $120. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that OEM parts were NOT used, and I suspect that new generic parts may not have been used at all. I never received a list of the work/bill of materials used!To make matters worse, my bike's engine is not performing as it did when I dropped it off. It now has a high idle, and I'm unsure whether it's due to an unauthorized carburetor alteration or a clutch adjustment, but I suspect that something was modified to generate more business.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repair

Needed some repair work done after someone clipped my front end in a parking lot. Shawn, the owner, was great. He took care of me and my bike. If you ever need anything done or fixed on your bike these guys are the ones to go to. Friendly and very reasonable. 5 stars .

I called Shawn late in the afternoon to see if they could get me in for an emergency flat repair and he squeezed me in and gave me a great deal. It was clear that they were doing this because I was in need of help and not because they were making much money off me. I am writing this as they do the work and they are already done. This is the best service I have gotten form any shop. I will be back and recommend them every chance I get. This is where you need to go if you have a bike and want great service!Service: Tires

Summer 2019: Riding my Honda Sabre 1100 from Boston to San Diego via Vancouver BC, on the way home thru 117F Arizona heat, the motor seized up kaput. Sean's company Eastside purchased an aftermarket engine for the bike, installed to perfection, changed my tire, and got me back on the road again. A very positive experience! One year and thousands of miles later, back in Boston, the bike with Sean's installed engine is running great! Thanks Sean!Service: Engine repair

I have a Z900, not a KZ900, which I purchased brand new in London, England. This motorcycle was made to be sold in England and Australia primarily. When I moved to Gilbert, AZ I needed this motorcycle to meet emission standards. I took my Z900 to a shop in Mesa and that cost me a few thousand dollars and the Z900 never ran correctly so I put it into storage. In March of 2020 I started working on it again, took the Krieger exhaust and KZ900 carburetors off, put the standard 4 exhaust on it and put the original Z900 carbs back on. I was able to get it to run but it kept dying out when I would come to a stop.I asked around about good motorcycle shops and Eastside Performance was said to be Number 1 so I called and talked to Sean and told him about my experience at the other motorcycle shop. Sean convinced me that he cares about his work and will take good care while getting the Z900 running. When I arrived at his shop Sean was excited about it and exclaimed that he had never seen a Z900 up close only a KZ900. We talked and he quoted me a price range. He put Mike, one of his mechanics on it. Mike was able to get it running like brand new so I had Sean also do some of the refurb and painting. The Z900 looks just as it did in that London, England show room. He was able to do all the work and was under his price quote.Sean s favorite movie is Mad Max and in that movie they used Z1000 s and Z900 s which explained why Sean was excited to see a Z900.Sean and Mike are great and really know their motorcycles which I suspect of everyone in the shop and that is why I will only allow Eastside Performance Motorcycles to work on my motorcycle.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Auto detailing

These guys really know their stuff, they re more than fair with pricing and have pretty quick turn around times. They got me up on two wheels within a couple of weeks after bringing them a bike that needed A LOT of love, plus they stayed within my budget. Couldn t ask for more than that!

Eastside Performance is the finest motorcycle shop in the Valley. (I've had bikes serviced in the Valley since 1994.) I've taken my bikes to EP or a number of years, and the referral started from Western Honda because WH no longer wanted to work on my pristine, but aging, VFR800. Since being referred to Sean and his crew, his shop has worked on my 00 VFR800, 07 Ducati GT1000, 08 CRF250R, and 11 DR650. In each instance, Eastside Performance has provided exceptional service (routine maintenance, fairing painting, tires, suspension work), and has been competitive on pricing. In the age of the internet, it's easy to focus solely on price, but Sean's prices are competive while never compromising on outstanding service. Experienced and knowledgable motorcyclists take their motos to Eastside Performance. And, if you're riding a vintage bike, there's NO better place than EP.

Sean and the gang at Eastside Performance are a set of motorcycle community rock stars! After being denied service at multiple shops - even dissatisfied shakes of the head from Harley, I finally found a home for my "Rare / Unusual" liquid-cooled Harley Street XG750.(Eastside is a truly rare breed of shop that works on EVERYTHING!!)I had a bit of an incident requiring some major work to the front end / suspension of the bike, plus 2 tires. The experience and quality of work at Eastside was absolutely top-notch. They really seem to pay attention to the little details and are extremely knowledgeable and able to advise on a proper setup for the way you ride your bike.Parts for my bike were almost impossible to find in time... but that didn't stop Sean! He helped find the parts I needed, got them delivered, installed, and was able to keep the communication and delivery process absolutely seamless.I will NOT be going ANYWHERE ELSE as long as I'm a resident of Arizona.P.S. They also will likely save you 15-30% over the dealership! I don't normally shop cost when considering services like this, but the price I paid compared to going to Harley was also breathtaking!Services: Delivery, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto detailing, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair

Rode to Arizona from Washington state and problems with the bead going out on my front tire multiple times during the trip. This shop was recommended for my 1983 Honda GL650, and I'm sure glad I checked it out! The owner Sean, had the wheel I needed and took time out of his busy schedule to fix it that same day! Will definitely be stopping by when I come down again

The team from Eastside Performance are incredible. As a first-time rider they were more than happy to give any bikes I was interested in buying a look & offer their professional insight into whether it was a good deal or not. They take care of your bike like it's their own & go above & beyond to make sure you get best service/parts.

This is the place you've been looking for. Reasonable prices to say the least and excellent work. They explain everything to you, keep you informed as to what's going on with your bike etc. I was sent here by two dealers parts and shop guys. One of the best tips I've gotten in years. I have had both of my bikes (Honda) serviced and checked out. I could not be happier.

The rear brake on my '98 Honda VFR was dragging. This was an issue I had tried to remedy at other shops, with mechanic friends of mine, and on my own, to no avail - the linked brakes made the problem too complicated. Sean and his team found the root cause quicker than expected, and got the job done right. Very happy with the result.Service: Brake service & repairService: Brake service & repair

I had taken both my motorcycles to another shop prior to taking them to Sean.. what a mistake that was. So once I got them to EastsidePerformance things changed and I got great service. Sean was amazing his guys were able to determine what was wrong with my bike that I had just bought and there were no maintenance records on it. Sean was great at communicating with me the whole time. Prices are fair and I will take all my future business to Sean...

Amazing Service! Sean is very knowledgeable and down to earth. Bought parts for my dirt bikes, and he told me the options and benefits without overselling me. He's got some cool bikes, that he's usually working on, and random stuff scattered throughout the shop that's worth a look at too!

Local Honda shop recommended this place when I had to get my kickstand bracket replaced on my beloved '98 Valkyrie, and I didn't know what to expect. I do most of the work on my bike but this required some tools that I just didn't have. Well Sean had raised the proper parts and had my bike standing again inside of a week. No BS, no surprises, and very reasonable.

In November I was in an accident and my bike went down. Mid December I received an insurance settlement to repair my bike so I took it to eastside for the repairs. The fallowing is a recount of my nightmare.Let me start this with what kind of bike I have. It is a 2021 honda shadow phantom. The first issue I suppose you could say is my fault for lack of proper communication. The bike is all blacked out with the exception of the mirrors which are chrome. The mirrors were damaged in the accident so I asked them to be replaced with black to match the rest of the bike. They replaced them with cheap plastic mirrors! I would gladly have paid more for some nice mirrors but they just put on ol cheapies. Next come the replacement grips. Keeping in line with the mirrors they put on the cheapest grips they could find. I've bought better grips at Wal-Mart for $10 for my nephews' bicycle than what they put on my motorcycle. Just wait, it gets better. They ripped my fuel line when they replaced my fuel tank and left it like that! Don't worry, I've saved the best for last. The front end. When I picked my bike up on the drive home I noticed my handle bars had not been replaced and were still slightly bent from the accident. Added to that my front forks were still tweaked. THEY NEVER TOUCHED THE FRONT END OF A MOTORCYCLE THAT WAS IN A T-BONE ACCIDENT!I have many many more examples of their complete lack of attention to detail and could go on but I think you get the idea.He did say when I picked up the bike that if I had any issues with the repairs to take it back and he would fix them. Let's be honest though, with all that I have mentioned and quite a few more attention to detail issues I haven't mentioned, would you take you're motorcycle back to him? I sure won't be. EVER!

My bike overheated and I immediately called Sean at Eastside Performance. I had no way to get my bike to him. So he personally came to my apartment loaded up my bike at 7 am and took it to his shop. He got my bike done super quick and didn t over charge me! This is the only place that you need to go to! Sean is super helpful and won t charge you unnecessarily! These are dudes that you need in your corner!! Very very very happy!

I first brought my 1998 Honda Shadow when I first started riding 3 years ago and knew absolutely nothing about motorcycles. I needed someone I could trust to give me a fair deal and quality service.Choosing to use Eastside as my mechanic has been a great decision. I have learned a lot about bikes thru them but still need their expertise. They approach each situation by only addressing what needs to be done, especially with an older bike, rather than spending a lot of money and fixing things that in the end were just fine.In one case I had an issue with the bike that could have easily been resolved by spending a lot of money, but they took the time to fix simple things and let me try it out and in the end the problem was resolved for a few hundred instead of a few thousand. They have made my new to riding experience incredible. I simply can get on my bike and enjoy riding and don't spend time worrying about if my bike will be the issue. When I purchase a Harley later, I will still use them.

East side performance took excellent care of me and my Suzuki gsxr 750. I had the chain and sprocket kit completed. It was well over due and the price was better than the competition. I highly recommend this company to everyone and I'll be using them from this point forward.
