James and his folks at Autoworks have my business! They have always gone above and beyond to be honest and fair with me and to make sure that I get back on the road safely. I have read and seen other reviews that share a not so great experience, I understand that car troubles can be stressful, but I have to disagree with the bad reviews. If you treat people with understanding and kindness it will come back to you. I highly recommend Autoworks for someone who is looking for an honest mechanic.

Can't express how appreciative I am to have come across James and his staff at Autoworks! If you are looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic, look no further! James takes care of all our vehicles and I would never take our cars to anyone else. Recently, my daughter's college friend came to visit and had a car issue. I called James and was told to bring it in right away. Less than 1 hour later, James calls and had the car on the road again! Amazing job. Thank you, James & Autoworks!

I had a good and bad experience with this place. Took my car due to overheating. The good thing is they fixed it in under 3 hours but the bad thing is that I was honest with them and I told them that my car had an issue with my key fob and there's a special way to turning on my car, so when I picked up my car they told me that they will not do business anymore with me anymore due to (electric wiring issue due to key fob troubles) and that my car has too many problems. And I was charged for 3 hours of labor when the car was done in 2 hours and I questioned this and all they said was (it was a 2 man job and alot of work). (AND BTW MY ISSUE WAS NOT THE PRICING AND I DID SAY IN THE BEGINNING THAT THEIR SERVICE WAS GREAT AND IN A TIMELY MANNER DUE TO ME GOING IN AS AN EMERGENCY WHICH I DO APPRECIATE BUT I DO NOT THINK IT WAS NOT PROFESSIONAL OF THEM TO TELL ME TO NOT COME BACK DUE TO MY VEHICLE HAVING A SMALL ISSUE WITH THE KEY FOB)

Incredible customer service! James did a last minute inspection on our car which was leaking oil. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. Without his help, we wouldn t have been able to make our scheduled road trip. James is AMAZING! He took my van in and got her running in about 30 minutes. Come to find out I needed 2 new battery s (new van new problems I guess haha) and got me an amazing price! Even better than me pricing out the batteries online! Way cheaper than the dealership!!! This is now my most trusted shop I will be taking all of my vehicles there (and trust me I feel like I have a fleet)Services: Electrical, Battery

Just need to give big thanks to James at Autoworks. I live in CA and drive out to Havasu often. We have had to use Autoworks a few times in the past and again this week so we could get home. He always make time to service our car and get us back on the road ASAP. They do good quick work, if possible, and at a very reasonalbe cost. I always tell him when I leave the shop that "I'll be back." And I will again when I needed. Thanks again for the excellent work and service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went to another local shop to have my brake pads done. I received an outrageous quote. so I thought let me check another shop for pricing. I called Auto works and the owner quoted me half of what the other business was charging saving me half of what the other shop quoted. Auto works had my breaks done next day, and saved me $400. Very honest, fair, fast, and quality service. Highly recommend this family owned local business.Service: General repairs & maintenance

James is an honest, skilled, and reliable mechanic. His prices are fair and his work is timely. If something can be repaired instead of replaced, he will do that and save me some money. James and April are also compassionate and helpful when I need something right away. James at Autoworks is AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend him and his shop. I went in with a seized up duramax engine in my highly modified 04 Silverado among other problems. He diagnosed all my problems and blew every other quote out of the water! He is professional and got the job done. New engine, transmission, transfer case, shocks, window regulators, and recharged my A/C.(I know I m forgetting things) He encountered unforeseen issues along the way and still stuck to his quote. He and his crew went above and beyond for me. He will be my only mechanic in Lake Havasu from here on out! By far the most down to earth and honest mechanic I have ever dealt with! I can t thank him and his crew enough for dealing with me and my questions along the way. I got pictures and reports all through the process! I m very happy with the outcome! Autoworks recently replaced my brakes and rotors. The total price was fair. They were able to get me in and on my way in what I would call record time! They always provide quality service but I also appreciate how honest and friendly they are! Autoworks has always treated us well. They will continue to be our "go to" auto mechanics. Went in to get my timing belt change and James and his team went over the moon for me ! Even explained and showed me a video what it s supposed to look like and how bad mine was . Also shoutout to the Technician that repaired that took the extra time and care to fix the plastic cover. I Highly recommend these guys.

I have been going to Autoworks for approx 5 years now and I am very happy with their service. James is very honest and you don t get that the mechanic is screwing me over feeling at all. He has no trouble working on my Honda Civic or Volvo. I went in to schedule an appointment to have my a/c checked out and was able to be booked for the very next day. The service I received was very fast and each of the three associates I met with were all professional and knowledgeable about what was wrong with my car's a/c. I would definitely recommend Autoworks to anyone needing superb service from a local Havasu business. The steering rack and pinion went out in my van, and after a horrible experience with another business, we decided to use Auto Works. I cannot tell you how much of an amazing experience this was! Everything was done in a timely manner, they are professional, they listened, and cared. We had seen many recommendations for James at Autoworks for auto repairs, so when our truck axle started clunking, we gave him a call. He got us in quickly, was very knowlegable, diagnosed a potentially serious issue and got us up and running the same day. We'd not been having "warm fuzzies" for our previous mechanic since a partner took over the business, so we are very happy to have found such an honest guy. Thanks again to James. If you look/act like someone that doesn t know about mechanics he WILL take advantage of you. He is the sleazy mechanic of your nightmares so if you do decide to go here for his cheap prices, be on your guard.He pulls the same brake and oil change scam on several women I know. And when his larger repairs fail and you return asking him to fix it he will throw a tantrum and refuse services, even when the work was done under warranty.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

My not so but very lucky day. My car ac started blowing out hot air.. worst possible thing to happen in havasu summer. This shop had a last minute cancellation and fit me in same day!! Lucky me they had all the parts and my car was fixed in less than 2 hours. I know nothing about cars and they took the time to show and explain to me how broke my car actually was. Beyond grateful. I had my rack and pinion replaced on my mini van as soon as the part came in(the next day). So the wife a school teacher and mother of 3 elementary kids and husband who is disabled. James is very rude, petty, and doesn t know how to accept an apology. I accidentally left leftovers in the trunk and he practically berated me about it once I came to the shop to pick up my car. He also complained about having to remove other items including my baby s Christmas presents from the trunk. I understand it was very smelly and gross, but it was also an accident and I was very apologetic. I tried to explain that I didn t know they d have to go into the trunk so I didn t think it d be an issue. My mother then came in to cover the cost of the service I received (I will be paying her back, I just didn t have $1400 saved at the time) and he continued to complain about my mistake to her. He let her know that he left my leftovers in the trunk so that I could smell it He made me very uncomfortable and upset and I will never go back no matter how cheap his work is compared to other repair shops. Not to mention my steering wheel cover is now filthy and smelly like mechanic hands. And my air conditioner smells like someone soaked the filter in motor oil. Many thanks and blessings to this company. Honest and friendly service! I wish more mechanic shops were ran with such integrity!We had just got the front brakes repaired at a shop in Lone Pine, CA before making the trek through Death Valley & Mojave Desert. On our way we started hearing a rattle in the drivers side wheel area. It was alarming but with no where to stop we kept going.We tried one other shop before we came here, they didn t have the time but Autoworks got us in right away.Turns out a very important bolt to the brakes was missing. The part held together only because it fit so well. If the part came out it could have jammed the tire and we would have spun out.The parts were going to cost a small fortune to order and we would have waited for a week. Instead, they were able to machine a makeshift part to fit. Albeit a temporary fix, we are grateful to be back on the road in such a short time!Support small, local, women owned businesses!

I have been going to Autoworks since they have opened! It s hard in today s world to be able to take your car into and feel 100% good about what your mechanic is telling you! Their work is top notch and they have by far the best service around! They won my business the first time I took a car to them. After what my original mechanic told me was a computer problem and about 400 already spent, I took to them and low and behold a simple vacuum leak! Didn t even charge me for the time he spent!! Have never gone anywhere else sense! I moved 200 miles away from their shop. I wait until I go back into town to get my service down on my cars.. Hands down the best shop around!!

James is the most honest, sincere, hard working mechanic I ve ever had the pleasure to know. He and his wife, April are great people. They do a lot to support our community. James work is beyond reproach, and his prices are very reasonable. We won t take our vehicles to anyone else

James and his crew are the BEST EVER, I have an older Corvette, that he has made brand new. It has been in our family since it was new 1976. This man James worked on this car until it was perfect, it actually is better now than when first purchased. He and April are two of the most amazing human beings, so HONEST. You will never have to worry if you take your car to them, THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!
