Nothing but good to say about Kermit! He is so kind, thorough and helpful. He really came through and fixed a mess he didn't make and his prices are beyond reasonable. Quality work and service, so rare these days!

Kermit's transmission does a excellent job. Every new transmission I get built, rear ends, you name it. Knowledable staff and friendly service, not to mention the best process in town.

Love the Manager Mic, Kermit and all the guys that work there!!! I brought my truck to them Friday afternoon at 3:30pm, expecting they wouldn't get to my truck until the next work week...... Well, by 4:30 that same day, Mic called me to let me know what was going on, what needed to be done and about how much it was going to be to fix my truck. My truck was fixed perfectly and i couldn't of asked for anyone better to work on my truck!! I highly recommend Kermit's!!! Best shop in town, hands down!!!

Called to get a price for a transmission flush or transmission filter and fluid top off. Never got a price for either, was told over the phone without even taking the car in that it needed a new transmission. Not impressed.

I have to say the service the honesty and price was above and beyond . Took my van into brake masters for an oil change. They ended up telling me I needed new struts which they quoted me 1,300 I didn t go through with it but I seen a leak and took it back in and they told me to take it here. I was hesitant because well mechanic shops always try to milk you for more money. It ended up being a hose that needed replaced he was honest fast and a good price. Definitely good people and I ll be going back if needed!

Did a great job on my truck

I am a rather competent home mechanic, but at 70 years old, and with 110 degree heat, I don t have it in me to R&R my truck s Allison transmission. It developed a serious fluid leak. I don t like letting anyone else work on my vehicles, so I had no experience with any local mechanics. I asked at a couple of automotive related businesses and both highly recommended Kermit s, but with the caveat that he was extremely busy. An internet search showed many positive reviews. I called Kermit s and was told they were very busy and they asked that I bring the truck by the following Monday. I did so and explained what was happening and asked them to put it in line to take a look at it. I was not surprised that it took a week for them to get to it. Kermit said it had a leak from the top of the transmission, and it was possible the case had cracked, and it could cost $5000 to repair. I had enough confidence to tell him to proceed. Two days later he told me it was a gasket that had been improperly installed. (12 years ago the transmission failed and was replaced under warranty by a Chevrolet Dealer.) Kermit pulled no punches in explaining how poorly the dealer did the work. Remember, I had approved replacing the transmission. A less honest shop would have cleaned the old trans and passed it off as new. Not Kermit; instead he was genuinely pleased the repair would cost much less. He further stated the trans was in great shape and needed nothing more than some gaskets, and would be ready in a couple of days. I was confident enough that I then asked them to repair an annoying leak from the front axle that had bothered me for years that in my earlier days I would have repaired myself, but now I m too old and it s too hot for me to attempt it. They fixed it quickly. The cost was right what I expected, just under $2000 total, but the truck is the best it s been in years.I have heard many stories about dishonest or incompetent shops. I can t stress enough the honesty and competence of Kermit s. I would have no reluctance to take any vehicle to Kermit s. It should be noted they do general repairs, not just transmissions.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

They handle a lot of our cars in our fleet for AAA and they're always really Nice we are taken care of immediately and I'm always seeing somebody doing something so to me that shows that they are always doing their job and they're always trying to get something fixed or running for a customer

Lost my transmission in my RV on the way home from Phoenix. Towed it into the shop. Service far exceeded my expectations. Got me back on the road with a full rebuild. I have a heavily modified coach and they did a great job. Fair price, great work, good people. I have never stopped in Kingman for anything other than gas, so I choose them by chance. You will not be disappoint with their work. They are busy, so you will have to deal with that, but you will get great service. I absolutely recommend.

Had another shop in town tell us we needed to replace parts upward of $400. Second opinion from Kermit, no charge by the way in his down to earth way said the repairs were unnecessary. Old school mechanic, they don't make them like that anymore. Very busy shop with all the business from less reputable shops in town but well worth any wait.

Customer service was perfect but when it came time to Guarantee their work You know the warranty I kept pointing out all the wrong parts they put on it wrong shift linkage no kick down Spring I even had to asked the guy ATF 4 as in are you gonna even tell me what type of fluid this transmission takes i already knew I installed the transmission myself I just contracted them to rebuild it I figured for over $2000 I would get a case of transmission fluid added and some core charges back the transmission still doesn't drop a gear when floored same old problem. My problem

I had a replacement transmission installed by this shop. I heard they were the best in Kingman. Well, they chose not to tighten the cooler lines on the brand new transmission. Maybe I should have done a leak check myself. But, I assumed this would have been done before I picked up my truck. Drove it to Vegas where I noticed a huge leak under my truck and my transmission had already begun to slip. Not even two hundred miles. Even had the audacity to argue about the job. Took it to a honest transmission shop who corrected the mistakes. Let's see if I get reimbursed. Why would I bring my truck back to the shop after getting it back like this? I gave them an opportunity to to the job correctly, and it was a nightmare. Who would ask for the nightmare to continue? Oh, please mess up my car more and hide the fact that you did it. Not me

Not very happy with this shop. They kept our car for about 5 months for transmission repair. I checked on it several times and each time I was told they were working on getting the part necessary for the repair. They removed the transmission from the car and left the car outside in the parking lot the entire time. Finally, I insisted on getting something done, and I was told they had to send the part to Vegas for repair, only to then find out it couldn t be repaired. I had to drive to Vegas to get the part (2 hours away) to save time. I then had to go to Kermit s to pick up the car which was disabled with the transmission out of it. The car was filthy dirty after sitting in the parking all those months, the transmission was out of it, and they charged me $150! That was the charge for removing the transmission from the car. I felt they should have paid me since I will have to have car detailed now that it is so filthy. The staff was friendly, just way too busy to be able to do the job properly. The place is overly crowded. I won t go there again, and I don t recommend this place for work.

I d give Kermit transmission a 10 star rating if possible..we were passing through town when my brother in laws truck broke down again after having it fixed by Crown Ford in Redding,CA.Not only did Kermit Transmission diagnose the problem better than the Dealership, they got it fixed and us back on the road the very next day.Crown Ford kept us hanging for 5 days in a hotel to end up with the wrong diagnosis.. I would strongly recommend KEEMIT TRANSMISSION to everyone that needs a great mechanic and staff working on their automobile. Thank you again Kermit for the great job you guys did and helping us get to Pennsylvania.. you guys are awesome!!Service: Engine repair

Kermit saved me! My brake booster went in my SUV on a Monday night. I had my truck to him Tuesday morning and he had the part ordered in, delivered and fixed by Wednesday am. First time customer and the experience was so good, I'll be using them for any mechanic needs in the future. As A single woman, I've had mechanics try to scam me before and not only was I treated respectfully but the owner and staff went over everything with me and followed thru with their word and quote.

Just got off the phone with a guy that works here and I was inquiring about a brake flush. The dealership I bought my car at kept telling me I needed one so I was shopping around. The guy on the phone was 100% honest with me and told me that I was getting scammed, as I wasn't even halfway near the mileage that I needed to be for just an INSPECTION of the fluid. I will remember this and tell friends and family about this place!

Not a female friendly shop. It doesn't matter to me how many awards you have, how many people say you do good work, or how many stars on your rating. What matters to me is the attitude of indifference toward a single lady who has been stranded for months & was willing to have her car towed over 100 miles just to have you work on it. You're not the first, & probably won't be the last auto repair shop to act like this. I know you don't care, but yes I will go somewhere else thank you.

This is the best transmission shop in a 500 mile radius. These guys may take awhile to do your car but it's top notch and as I always tell people you can shift with the best of slip with the rest they specialize in pre 1980 and race transmissions but do new cars as well
