Be Careful taking your vehicle in for a free diagnosis. I had my self-employed service vehicle towed here needing transmission. After a lot of phone calls and a lot of trips over there it was decided that the entrance wouldn t cover it and I couldn t afford to put more money in it . For some reason this shop took it upon themselves with no authorization. After seven days of trying to get them release vehicle for tow truck, and listening to Larry scream at me on the phone that too many people were calling, they charged me $1040 torelease the vehicle. They threw all of the parts or (at least I THINK)into the back of the vehicle and basically sent me on my way . After telling office guy that I would purse in court, Larry says, The boss never loses in court, even people with a lot of money have tried and failed I couldn t believe he would treat me like this, even after he knew they were screwing me !!! $1000 and in a way worse position than I started.

If you want to have more problems than your car is worth, then this is your place. They have a long history of cheating the public and telling folks they are untouchable in court. Shoddy work coupled with bad customers service, means if you have no other choice to use these folks, you should probably just abandon your car.

Rave review for Larry at Advanced Transmission in Kingman. 11-1-2023We limped into town pulling our travel trailer with our truck having transmission issues. Larry went out of his way to service our vehicle, AND transport us to and from our parked camper while the work was done. Fantastic customer service- thank you Larry!

Okay 2 years later, around 10,000 miles later the transfer case went out again. I had them repair it and he dead faced said to me "Oh, we should have fixed this the first time around" and still had the audacity to charge me for the service. Not only that, they serviced parts that were fine and that I did not request be serviced, and replaced them with bad parts. I had to go to Flagstaff and fix their bad work out of pocket. They have not responded to any calls or letters I have sent them. What they perform here is fraud.*** Original review from 2019? :These guys ROCKED Bob took care of me when I was towing my trailer across the country. Blew out my transfer case and he was able to get the parts and have me back on the road 24 hours after I dropped my truck with him. All the guys there were incredibly nice and helped make sure I could get back on the road before the weekend.

No words can express my gratitude to the owners of this shop, and their family. They are compassionate, genuine, and honest. One shop in Kingman insisted I needed a new transmission. I then took it to Advanced, and after taking the transmission out, it was discovered the gears were broken. They repaired all that needed repair, completely checked my vehicle to be sure it would make it safely to TN. It runs like a top. No doubt, if you need transmission work, this is the place to go. Fair prices, no gouging here. Come in a stranger, leave knowing you've made a friend for life! Thank you Bob, Daisy, and Casey.

We were traveling with a 35-foot & 21 year old Motorhome through Kingman on our way to the Louisiana Texas border and our transmission went out. We got are vehicle back on the road after a few days and thankfully Advanced Transmission was able to diagnose the original cause & they saved us another transmission failure by finding out that the transmission cooler was not working properly after taking a couple test drives. After the test drives they discovered that the transmission oil temperature was way too high and eventually this would have led to another transmission failure. It did cost us another day but it's saved us thousands of dollars and another transmission failure we are thankful for Bobby and his crew and the work that they are doing to help repair Travelers and locals in their area. Thank you so much Bobbie it was fun getting to know you guys a little bit... see you later Jake and Haden! Take care from Grandma, son-in-law, and my son P.S. we left Friday night at 5:30 from your place and made it the whole 1500 miles and arrived safely with no issues at 9 p.m. Saturday night!

Stay faaarrrrrrr away. My transmission made it 1500 miles and blew up. Now they don t answer my calls or text. Not an honest establishment. See photo of wet fluid on rebuilt transmission pan.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was stranded on my way back to North Carolina, and the team over there dropped the transmission, made the repairs, and stayed late to get me on the road the same day. I made it all the way home 2400 miles with no further issues. Thanks Diasy, Jeff , and Larry for making it happen! God Bless yall!

I give them a 5 star good price and excellent service I had lost reverse in my 09 F150 truck. It was good price,good service. These guys know what they are doing. Totally pleased with their service. Daughter brought her car for transmission to be replaced. When she picked it up cat was jolting. Noticed a big leak from it. Took it back. After approx 10 to 12 days later they said it was ready. Worst jolting. Only crawled two miles per hour. Buyers. Beware!!!

Very pleased with the work completed by Advanced Transmission. Bob is a really great guy! He loaned me a car while he fixed my vehicle (Subaru), and went above and beyond just repairing what it needed (new seal on the torque converter). He also fixed the exhaust system (I had a busted tailpipe).I can't recommend this repair shop enough, Bob is far above the best mechanic I ever dealt with! It would be a crime to go anywhere else! Out of 5 stars, this is definitely a 6-star shop.My wife, daughter, and I love you Bob, and the rest of the Advanced Transmission team! Thanks so much!

I was in need of auto repairs on my older car. I hadn't had any car work done since moving to Kingman a few years ago, so I had no idea where or how to start to find a good, fair and honest shop to go to. Recently I browsed thru the Shopper/Flyer and I saw their ad. I really liked the fact that it was a local family owned shop. Well I had to start somewhere and with a small, inexpensive repair so I schedule an oil change. The staff was very friendly and helpful., and I had a very comfortable feeling that I would not be taken advantage of. Bob handled the office duties that morning and was very pleasant to work with. I asked if the tech could give my car a "check-up" so I would know what future repairs I would need and the priority in order to get them done. He explained what I needed, why I needed it and the impacts it would have on my car. He was very accommodating and when I left I felt I received excellent service and an "action plan" that I understood. I will be returning to this shop for my future car repairs. Thank you Bob and staff for your amazing customer service.

My elderly parents came through Kingman in their RV on their way to visit grandkids. Their transmission went out and was repaired by Advanced Transmission. There as delays in parts and costs of hotels and rental cars. The repair lasted less than 1500 miles before it had to be rebuilt entirely. After initially stating they would pay a portion of the repair, advanced transmission is no longer answering phone calls. Even after settling on an amount far less than their cost this shop won't even honor this. The new repair shop stated the repairs we just enough to get them out of town. We will be taking other means to pursue the repair costs but would not recommend this place if you want to avoid headaches.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

After a very bad experience with another transmission specialist that quoted me $4000 and said I needed a new transmission, I called Advanced Transmission. They were able to get my car in within a day, fix it in two days and their honesty delivered me a vehicle that cost less than $500 and allowed me to have confit in driving back to Washington state. Thank you so much to Bob, Larry and Kevin for your honesty, and great work. I would recommend Advanced Transmission to anyone that finds themselves in Kingman fir service.Service: Transmission repair

I gotta say I'm pretty proud of Bob and his team working at Advanced Transmission. Got transmission work done at a great price. Truck did have to go back with another issue and Bob is understanding and a real professional. Would definitely recommend Advanced Transmission. Keep up the good work!

Experienced problems with shifting gears during a road trip from WV to CA and stopped in here because of the reviews. Fast service. He had me in and out in two hours. Bob and Larry were both very nice. The place itself was easy to get to and really clean and cool in the waiting area. I'm not very knowledgeable about the pricing of services but it was affordable. I am very thankful this was the place I came to.

Had a continued issues with the transfer case on my 2012 Ram 3500, had it repaired twice by two other shops but the problem was still there and never actually fixed. I constantly got the run around with what the actual issue was. Brought it to Bob at Advanced transmission and he was able to diagnose the actual problem fix my truck and transfer case and finally after a year of disappointment I can use the truck for what it was intended for. I will never go anywhere else, Bob is honest and extremely knowledgeable far exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommended!!! Thanks Bob!!Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

Had problems with our transmission on our way traveling home. Called advanced and they were able to get us in right away to take a look. Could not find anything wrong but told us to keep an eye on it on our way home. Bob did not charge us for the evaluation even though we wanted to pay him some for the mechanics time. Nice to know that there are shops out there that will do right by you in an emergency.

Replaced my engine and transmission here. They returned my truck and it broke down the very next day after being at their shop for over a month. Called them and they want me to pay for towing. Would not do business with them again. Looking into suing at this time or getting truck fixed. Would definitely go elsewhere. Communicative and professional otherwise just not quality work.

My family of 4 got stranded in Kingman when our car stopped shifting. Luckily for us we found this transmission shop!! They are awesome! Bob and his team do great work and you can tell they really care about their customers! They got us back on the road as quick as possible and the transmission works perfectly now! Could not recommend them more!

I'd give them 4.5 if I could. Took my car in and the only issue I had was a little miscommunication which nobody likes when you're talking about the more expensive repairs however the owner made it right and offered to do so without hesitation once he was aware of it. Overall I think its a great shop, honest and they do good work. I'd recommend to anyone needing transmission work and I think I found a new place to bring my car to.

2008 Chevy pickup w/ duramax diesel. Trans slipped out of gear and warning lights appeared on dash that would not go away. Had towed to Advanced transmission. Contacted Bob who stated it would take a couple of days to even look at it. The next afternoon Bob called me and told me my truck was fixed!!! Said it was a sensor with a broken wire. I asked him how much it was going to cost and he told me that there would be NO CHARGE. He said it only took about 10 minutes to diagnose and that he had an old spare pickup at the shop and took the sensor from that and put it in my truck. Never in my 71 yrs has that ever happed to me. I was blown away by the honesty and integrity of this shop. He could have easily charged me $75.00 or more just for the diagnosis which would have been fair but he did not. If I ever have transmission problems again there is no other place i will take my vehicles.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair

Advance Transmission has rebuilt two transmissions for me and I m very happy with the end result. One being a manual for a Nissan frontier and the latter being automatic for the Ram 1500 truck.I believe the best way you find out about a repair facility/shop and it s commitment/ethical character in providing honest repairs is when something actually goes wrong. As was the case of the Ram 1500 rebuild. After taking the truck home their was a small leak near the back of the transmission after a couple of attempts without success the problem was located, it was a hole in the back of yoke spline. This part was not designed to have a hole and was defective even before I brought this in, it should have been solid.This shop spent a lot of man hours after the sale to take care of the problem and satisfy me. In addition, since they did not catch this hole in the spline immediately and I suspect no one else would have either and the for inconvenience, they at no cost to me replaced the U-joint and yoke. Advanced Transmissions was willing to do whatever it took to have a satisfied customer.I seldom write reviews but when a company goes out and exceeds my expectations and delivers outstanding customer satisfaction and follow-up as did Advance Transmissions. I feel the need to get the word out that this company wants your return business and they are willing to earn it.W.M.B.
