A very pleasant stay all round. We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived, and it's very easy to find your Wigwam. The rooms are cosy and have vintage furniture. Things are well maintained, and very clean. The bed was comfy, the TV worked well, and the heater and AC were good too.The bathroom had hot water, and was clean too.Earplugs are provided if the train is too loud, however it's not too noisy all things considered.Overall, it's a great place to stay for some historic and classic Route 66 charm and experience.

Friendly staff for sure. I give 5 stars for the novelty, and it is a cozy place.....BUT!! 1 star for the TV screen-It was so small I thought it was a circa 2000 flat screen computer monitor!! Also, 1 star for no in room coffee maker!! No laundry services are available on premises, either. I love the novelty but would be willing to pay more per night if the owner would raise prices to be able to offer some of these conveniences.

What an exciting and fun place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, which included a photo-taking opportunity with a big collection of vintage American cars. We have never stayed anywhere like it absolutely unique; If you are going to stay anywhere around this area, this is the place.

An overall super fun and unique experience! The front desk staff was super friendly and gave us some great dinner/breakfast recommendations for the town of Holbrook. The old cars were so much fun to walk around and take photos with, and the museum in the lobby was very interesting! The room was pretty clean and the heater worked nicely to keep us warm at night. My only complaints would be the shower current was very old and smelled bad, it really needed to be replaced. The bed was comfy but only 2 pillows were provided. Would stay again!

Is place is really great, has lots of vintage cars you can take pictures with. The staff is really friendly and it right across the street from a Safeway. The rooms are really simple but private since you're not connected to anyone else.

We were going to stay here one night during our family road trip in July 2023. Unfortunately a road closure due to a wildfire caused us to get rerouted and we did not arrive in time (office closes at 9pm). We did not have service to call and we did not know ahead of time when the office was closing. Arrived to the motel probably around 10pm so we ended up staying at a different hotel down the road. Totally forgot to attempt to get a refund, but unsure if we would have been able to or not. We did stop by in the morning just to check it out for the nostalgia of it and it's a neat place to stop by even if not staying.

Pretty neat and unique place to stay. Late check in was easy. The heater is super loud, which is my only reason for a 4 star review. Other than that, the room was clean and warm despite the freezing night and the classic cars scattered all over the lot are cool to walk around. The train noise is fine if you've ever lived near a train or highway before, I actually like the horns at night.

Would love to give this place a 5 star. It's historic and a great experience. Lots of plusses and a few minuses that could be easily fixed. I stayed in Apartment 1. Cute and spacious, a little kitchen area, though nice was also problematic. The main concern was it was a cold night. There was no door or black out drape to cover the opening. Light from the window poured into the sleeping area and the draft felt like air conditioning. The heating unit ran full blast. One side of the comfy bed was warm the other cool. I would have liked black out drapes on the front window also. Yes, there is a train track behind the building. Not immediately adjoining. You can hear trains, but I didn't find them a problem. Loved the historic features and the wigwams. Note, you park in front of the wigwams and then have to walk thru them to the motel structure. On a clear dry day it's not a problem in weather it would be annoying.

Very cool place to stay on RT 66Antique cars parked on the property were a delight. The staff is great and while the accommodations are relatively basic they were comfortable

For a kitschy novelty motel, this place really comes through on the amenities. Checking in was easy, and the staff were really easygoing and helpful. The lot is full of classic cars (including an old Tow Truck that looks like Tow Mater from Cars), but there's plenty of parking around them. The room was clean and well maintained. The only issues I had were with the heater, which was a little loud and finicky, and the bathroom mirror, which is at a really odd angle due to the architecture of the wigwams.

Such a fun little place for an overnight stay! Not your typical motel by any means and in a good way! Super clean, quiet and a fantastic collection of vintage vehicles!I love the craziness and nostalgia of it. Definitely stay here if you're looking for something out of the norm.

This is the wigwam motel, which influence the CARS, with McQueen!! It s an amazing feeling, it s like travelling through times & feel the power of the motel, which can spark your imagination big time! If you have children, who loves McQueen, I strongly recommend visiting this awesome motel, your child will have a life time memory

My husband was a bit skeptical as we pulled in at night, but quickly changed his tune. It is really cool how they preserve the nostalgia and still provide all the modern comforts. Loved the old cars scattered around. Also, no noise from neighbors, because they are all there own little house. Would definitely stay here again. Also, Holbrook is pretty historical and was featured in the movie Cars.

Very memorable place, has lots of charm and character. We had an issue with one of the heaters, but the manager very quickly got us into a different wigwam. Even though the back of the property backs up against the BNSF mainline (60+ trains a day), I would rarely hear/feel them. I had a bigger issue with mufferless cars just outside on the road.Definitely one for fun memories, and a pleasant change from the indistinguishable hotels we normally see nowadays.

So glad places like this are still around to show my kids what life was like before the interstate. If your kids love the movie Cars, this is the place for them! This is a nice place to stay. Room is clean, bed is pretty comfortable.

It's quite a place if you looking for that old time experience but if you like bells and whistles it's lacking a bit the window coverings are something to be desired, we'll really they sucked this place could be a 5 star with a little attention, the window coverings do not even protect you from any prying eyes or to keep any cold out of the room I'm fact. The loud and annoying heater is so loud you can't even hear each other talk let alone keep it warm of any kind , and with these window coverings and room heater I would give this place maybe a ,3 stars and only because of the nostalgia, funny thing is I bet big money that in the day. it was warmer inside then then it was last night in there , put some black out window coverings on this place.better for privacy and would help with the cold. Being let in ,,And my 7 year old grand child could sew a better set of window coverings iYes the window covering have my head spinning I just spent 125.00 on feeling cold and unprotected how would you feel , anyways the old cars o have the same auto cacoons on the ranchAlthough cool I don't like it I think it makes it looks like hell put it up in front with like a used car sign or a fake building like something you would.walk on the buy the cars on the dayThis way it invites to many strangers on the lotMore chances your guests cars to get broke intoKeep ppl off the lot by getting the cool cars in one place to much money wrapped up here all spread around in front of these wigwamsJust my optionI've been running hotels for 20 years now I've seen things come and go I've had guess complain because they got a free room in las Vegas because the complain and then started complaining everyplace they went , I've been accused of putting poisson in a guests roomsI've had police come to my hotel for a fugitiveAnd no the hotel was not a slum hotel it was and is a BEST WESTERN NOT top but not bottomAnd the only thing that makes a 5 star hotel/ motel is drum roll please it's having a restaurant on the property it's not the amenities or how expensive it is , it's just a restaurant on or with in throwing distance and will serve the hotel/ motel

Could barely hear the road or train, very quiet and peaceful! The room was like being in a museum. The place looks so cool at night!

Great place to stay. They have a small museum definitely worth checking out. It's important to support locations like this one.

We decided to drive Route 66, and came across the Wigwam Motel. Who wouldn't want to stay in a Wigwam. The vibe is definitely nostalgic. There's plenty of classic cars which is always a plus. This is a no frills place so you're not going to find big chain amenities. The exterior of the wigwams could use a fresh coat of paint. The woman at the service desk was polite. She turned on the heat prior to our arrival. I could smell the bleach upon opening the door. The room is bigger than expected, two full size beds. The inside could use freshing up too. The beds were comfortable. Nice hot shower but definitely bring shower shoes. The road noise and trains were okay with us, there's ear plugs available. Overall it was ok, we're between a 3 or 4 rating. The best part of our stay was we were near Mater's Grand Pappy's truck.

I have been coming here for years! They have actually upgraded. Looks very nice, but there looks like a whole lot of homeless people living in this area! Kinda scary to me.

The bed and pillow were lumpy, but somehow were the most comfortable I've slept on during our trip. Hot shower, great staff. Wonderful place to stay. Great nostalgia, but also a good room. Highly recommended!

Always wanted to stay here. Even more so after watching Cars, the movie. I can only imagine how much cooler it would have been to stay here back in the day when families did real road trips that were about the journey.

This review is a couple years over due, but wanted to pass on the great experience we had at the Wigwam Motel. Back in August 2021, our reserved room had an issue with the air conditioner, but the young woman at the front desk took care of us and got us setup in a single room bringing in another bed and linens to make it work for the 4 of us. A+ for service.

We did not stay here but stopped by on the way to Williams. They were booked up but got lucky to see inside a room being cleaned.

At least I can say I stayed in a wigwam for a night. It was clean and had everything you might need. The bed needs to be updated as it was a little worn out. It was fun, and I would recommend making a visit.

Nestled along the iconic Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona, the Wigwam Motel is a unique and charming accommodation that offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past. Built in 1950, the motel features 15 concrete and steel wigwams, each tastefully decorated with Native American artwork and vintage furnishings. The motel's central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Petrified Forest National Park, Meteor Crater, and the Grand Canyon.#camping #nomad #sprintervanlife #rvliving #rvlife #sprintercampervans #sprintervan #nomad #vancamping #workcation #rvnomads #rvnomad #rv #digitalnomads #digitalnomad #rtr #quartzsitearizona #ctarmor
