I have used this shop for routine maintenance on my vehicles for several years. Recently took a 10 yr old but relatively new to me vehicle in for service and inspection. They found several significant issues that I had already suspected with no other surprises. They completed the work quickly and efficiently, found the needed parts as economically as possible, and did the work well. Communication was great throughout the process. Repairs anywhere are not cheap, but I respect an honest, efficient and effective shop. Based on my experience, I can recommend them!

My wife and I have two vehicles, one is a 2016 RAV 4 and a 2004 VW Convertible. Martin and the shop have kept both of them in good repair. They are prompt in their service and always answer the phone when we call even in an emergency, that we often have with the VW, which is my wife s special project. her baby . We are from Indiana and always try to find a mechanic that does good work and is honest to work with . We have definitely found a home here!

I recently had my car breakdown-the folks at GV Automotive were able to do the work but because it seemed like something the manufacturer of the car should address they recommended I contact them. While they could easily have done the 3k worth of work they were honest and sent me to the dealer so I could work with the manufacturer. I want to say everyone was professional, considerate and most importantly honest. I am me to the area so finding and honest professional mechanic is invaluable.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

We just had our brakes and oil valve gasket replaced. Super speedy, excellent workmanship, great prices. We wouldn't take our Subaru anywhere else!

We were on our way to Mexico from Canada in our 1990 Toyota pick up and the manual transmission started to heat up. We pulled off in Green Valley to look into the heating problem. I started calling mechanical shops to bring the truck in and check the transmission oil level. After calling about 7 of them and getting a "sorry, but we are booked until next week" responses. I called Green Valley Automotive and Martin told me to bring the truck in the morning and leave it for them to check it. The shop was full, so we did not expect to hear from them at least before noon but were surprised to get a call at 10 a.m. The transmission fluid was changed (the old one was very dirty). The price for the service vas very reasonable but the immediate response to out sos call was priceless!Highly recommend the shop.I.

I was referred to GV Automotive by neighbors. They were right! GV Automotive did an oil change and recharged my AC for the price quoted. Very professional. They also went above and beyond by giving me a lift home and back to pick up my car when finished. Very happy with their service!!!

So I have had a hard time finding a mechanic in 6 years here but I feel I found the right mechanic. Martin got me in and out in 2 hours. First, a personal note:I originally gave Green Valley Automotive 5-stars because Martin, the owner, is a really nice and personable guy. But "nice and personable" doesn't mean "good mechanic." I have changed my rating to a 1-star. Read on and you'll see why."It's a great truck. You should buy it."-- Martin, owner of Green Valley AutomotiveI took a used truck into Green Valley Automotive (GVA) I was thinking of buying and asked Martin (owner of GVA) to check it out and let me know whether the truck was in good shape and a good buy, or if it was a piece of junk needing lots of repairs. Friendly and personable, Martin and I shared some stories and legends about lost gold and treasures in nearby Madera Canyon and mountains. It was fun listening to him tell me stories, and I felt confident his experience and vehicle evaluation would "steer me right." He also made me promise I would take the truck into his shop if it needed service (*important note*) So, I took his advice and bought the used Ford F250 truck from the owner. I was happy as I drove off in my new truck. However, my happiness only lasted a few days.Over $3,800 in repairs and countingAfter buying the truck, I almost immediately started having engine problems. Less than a week after buying it, Martin suggested I bring the truck in and he'd "have another look at it." That was the beginning of it needing more and more repairs. After multiple visits and thousands of dollars paid to his shop, I finally complained to Martin about him telling me the truck was in good mechanical condition and that I should buy it."That's what happens when you buy a used truck."-- Martin, owner of Green Valley AutomotiveWhat?! I took the truck into him for a mechanical evaluation and analysis on whether it was a good buy or not, and he told me, "it's a great truck. You should buy it." Everyone can be wrong but this was way beyond wrong.The truck was in terrible shape.I've spent over $10k to buy and repair the truck. I'm constantly afraid the truck will just stop working while I'm driving it. I've had the truck towed, jump started, and overheat. I've had constant oil, transmission, and other fluids drip all over my driveway. And the repairs aren't finished yet: the transmission leak needs to be fixed, as does the oil leak (the oil pan has the *wrong* drain plug which I found out about at a *different* repair shop), the truck vibrates at 70 mph, and Martin said the catalytic converter probably needs to be replaced (over $2,500 to replace.)"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."I've come to the realization I'm a sucker for listening to Martin's advice to buy the truck. And I was a sucker for taking it to be fixed at his shop, again and again. I've been told you should get a used vehicle checked out by a mechanic before buying it. Well, I did that and regret it. If I repaired everything Martin told me needed to be fixed, it would cost me *more* than the cost of the truck. And I've had the truck less than a year."Anyone want to buy a Ford F250? Martin is awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. My vehicle hasn't felt this good to drive in almost three years. Glad I don't have to trade it in at the dealership now. Been to chain automotive places in GV and was given different diagnostics and very pricey quotes each time. Thanks to Martin and his staff for a wonderful job and saving me thousands of dollars. Keith saved me from a fate worse than death...having your vehicle fixed in a strange town. He was able to look at it immediately and fix it within a time frame I sorely needed. Absolutely more than reasonable with his fees!

I Had an appointment yesterday for an oil change, but the mechanic who was supposed to do it was hurt just before my appointment. The owner, Martin, rescheduled for today at 1pm, and said he would get me right in at that time. I told him that I wanted the car lifted on the frame lift points and not the lift points by the rocker panels. The frame lift points are on the k frame and the rear axle. I had body work done to it, and I absolutely did not want any weight near the rockers. After waiting 15 minutes, the guy doing the oil change was preparing to lift the car at the places I repeatedly said not to lift on. This was a very simple request that any good shop would understand. Also, the oil change was going to be done outside and not inside. Who does that? If a repair shop can't do the easy things properly, how can they be trusted to do complex things? I am new to the area, and will be finding a professional and knowledgeable place to have both vehicles maintained. I would never recommend this place.UPDATE:THE OWNER, Martin, JUST RECENTLY, (MAY 15, 2023), RESPONDED TO MY ORIGINAL POST NEARLY SIX YEARS AFTER I POSTED IT! .HE IS AS ATTENTIVE TO HIS POSTS AS HE WAS TO THE WORK THAT I REQUESTED ON MY VEHICLE. AS A FORMER BODY TECH, I INSTRUCTED HIM EXACTLY ON HOW TO LIFT. MY VEHICLE, AND HIS MECHANIC WAS NOT ONLY GOING TO DO AN OIL CHANGE ON A WINDY DAY IN GREEN VALLEY, BUT LIFT AT THE WRONG PLACES.YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP.

Recently took my vechile in to have work done ,was quoted 3,500$. Martin the owner also said that it would only take a week. After almost month and a half of waiting for my vechile I was then charged nearly 4000$ extra on top of the 3500$. Not once was any extra charges brought to my attention nor did I agree to follow through with the process of any additional work. Finally I get my car back and thankfully the one thing I took it in for is fixed but now the vechile has even more problems than it did going into the shop.Service: Engine repair

Very different experience than I'm used to back home in Chicago. Everyone was very nice. Martin kept me informed every step of the way and was honest with what I should get fixed now and what could wait. Price was fair and the work was done quickly even though they had to get the parts. Will definately be coming back for my next repairs!

I had both my rear power windows repaired. First was the driver s side rear window done. They completely screwed up fixing the window. Had to take it back and have it done right. The passenger side window took three days. Appointments were not coordinated with employees. Completely disorganized. Maintenance fees over 100 dollars per hour.Services: Auto glass repair, Oil change

Be very careful when you go here. I spoke with the manager Martin and I explained to him in detail the needs I had for a vehicle that my wife would drive our kids in daily. It was a tune up with injector treatment, a replace of 2 complete doors with the door lining and inside panel swap, all 4 bearings and the 2 axles. He kept telling me how it's no big deal that they would have it done in about 4 days. I came back 2 weeks later to find the doors with mis colored tint windows, and no tune up done. Mind you I purchased all the parts and I paid for only labor. I was charged 900$ and he expected me to pay the entire amount. The thing that really made me feel skeptical was when he asked for the 900$ upfront. This was during the holidays and was not a good way to start the year. I felt scammed. He said he would rather tint my car instead of replacing my one window which I still have even though I wanted no tint, and will end up paying another company to put it in. So just be careful, these men seem to believe they are above their word.

The folks at GVA are honest and capable. I came in with what seemed like a simple issue but it turned into a nightmare of replacing multiple parts and having it drag on. But they stuck with it and didn't give up until they fixed it. I know they spent way more on labor than they charged me, and ultimately I hope we both came away feeling good about the repair. I would not hesitate using this business in the future.Service: Brakes

Great Service, Honest and Friendly. My fuel pump went out and they were able to replace it the same day that I called at a lower price than other local shops. I had already purchased a fuel filter and they replaced it at no additional cost. Unfortunately, less than 2 weeks later the fuel pump went out again at no fault to Green Valley Automotive and they replaced it at no additional cost. Very impressed.

Had the catalytic converters and rear pinion seal replaced on my 96 Chevy. Great service, Martin was very helpful. Truck runs great and I'd highly recommend.

If you have a vehicle of any make or model, take it here! I needed a vintage Jaguar restarted after 4 years. They knew theprocedure and completed all repairs! A Fantastic place to do any auto or truck repair! Trust these people! They deserve it!

I had my shocks replaced. Called and got quotes from 4 different places. GV Auto was the cheapest. Work was done in a few hours. I'm completely satisfied with the results and will go back for any future repairs.

I am a firm believer in acknowledging outstanding service when it s granted. I have been a Tucson, AZ native my whole life and have always taken my vehicle in for service at a local auto repair facility in Tucson. Green Valley Auto was recommended by a dear friend of mine a couple months ago when my transmition went out on me. Unfortunately I had to have my vehicle towed down to GV Auto which cost close to $100. When I walked into this facility, I was shocked!!!! I was greeted with a firm handshake and smile from a gentleman by the name of Brent Self and couldn t believe how clean it was. Mr. Self assured me he could have my repairs complete within 24hours and back on the road. A man of his word, Mr. Self had my vehicle back up and running at a competitive cost to other repair facilities and took $100 off my bill to cover the cost of the tow. I want to thank Green Valley Auto and Mr. Self for treating me fairly and owning up to their exceptional service.

I had my car done at Green Valley Automotive. They treat you with respect & fixed my car & one part was under warranty . They do not cheat you or do things before they tell you what is wrong. I highly recommend them who wants good service & are honest people.
