Finally found a great mechanic in Phoenix area! Champs off of Van Buren in Goodyear (southeast PHX) was quick and efficient. I broke the caliber/bushings of the sway bar and needed it fixed. I called them and got their cell number. We swapped a few pictures, video and vin info before I drove out of the way to them. They have indoor and outdoor overhead bays that can fit near anything and there was no hesitation on my huge truck. They did a quick look over when I arrived then set an appointment a few days out to ensure they could get the parts. There was a slight delay on parts so they called the day before my appointment and rescheduled for later of the appointment day.Great customer service. Quick, knowledgeable and no nonsense.Their hourly rate is $175. Definitely will use again!

Went to Champs for a wheel alignment that no one has been able to do correctly for the past 2 years. When they finished the vehicle rode great and it seems all of the front and rear rattles and knocks were gone. They must have found loose bolts and tightened them along with 5he alignment. They did a fantastic job and will recommend them to anyone looking to get their vehicle alignment done.

Champs was able to get my RV in for an oil change and minor repair quickly. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Tim and Art were great. The labor price was a little high, but worth it. They provided explanations, pics and a video of a warranty issue to make things very easy for me. True Champs.

Jeff answered the phone when I called. We discussed my problem and he said he would look at it right away. He then help me get a tow and followed up to make sure the tow arrived. He had my problem diagnosed right away and I picked up my truck first thing next morning. I really like these guys and will be going back.

We just moved to Arizona and are delighted to have found Champs. Our service writer, Jim, was great to work with. We had a front end alignment done on our motorhome. The work was done as promised, when promised. I would definitely recommend them. They will be our go-to automotive place!

I brought in a very dirty farm truck for a tune-up. The team treated me with respect and professionalism. I am exceedingly pleased with the end result. The vehicle will now pass the emissions test and safely transport me, animals, and hay.

Had my 2017 Ram in for exhaust manifold leak. Had it done the same day! Very reasonable on they're prices and do a Veterans discount!! will definitely go back to them again!I rate them 10 stars!

I ve taken my 6.0 diesel Excursion to diesel specialty shops all over the valley and have taken my family s gas vehicles to multiple shops in the valley over the past 13 years I ve lived here. I finally gave Champ s a shot this past year when I didn t have time to get the alternator fixed in my wife s Expedition (I tried, but it failed the night before I had to head out of state for work). They got the vehicle in and got it fixed right away. Communication was great with Jim at the front counter. I ve had our 3 vehicles in to Champ s for different issues and they always have done a great job with diagnosing the issues, vs just throwing parts at the problem. When they find out the issue, they call and explain the issue, the fix and the repair estimate. The thing I really like is that they don t just put cheap aftermarket parts on for things that should have OEM or better. I trust them with all of my family s vehicles. All the guys there are great to work with, and it s been a pleasure dealing with Jim at the front service counter. I highly recommend this place if you re looking for a shop.

First time RV's and we were very fortunate to find Champs Family Automotive. Friendly people and great service, they checked with us on some additional items needed before performing the service. Highly recommend and we will be back in the future.

$500.00 for a battery change on a Honda Fit.Black Tax - Is when the MAN charges black people more for services than normal. They feel that all of us are on welfare, drug dealing or stealing for decent people so to recoup their money, they charge extra for simple services.

Champs Family Automotive is the only automotive repair shop where I would ever take any of my vehicles. It's almost impossible to find a place that you can trust. And much less one that stands behind their work. But Champs Family Automotive does both. You can trust that they aren't lying to you or just trying to upsell you to make money. They are honest and care about the work they do. I had the pleasure of meeting Josh Vetter and he is such a wonderful and genuine person. I hope you choose to take your vehicle to Champs Family Automotive, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Our RV is 23 years old, we found oil in the water and naturally we thought it was the engine. We talked to 4 places and they would not even look at it because of its age. We called Champs family automotive they said bring it in. They found out it was the cooling system and not the motor saving us thousands of dollars. They are very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Oct 26, 2023. My 2013 Chevy Cruz was having issues with the cooling system. I took it to Champs Family Automotive in Goodyear. As always, they were extremely professional they diagnosed the problem which was a small pin hole in the coolant reservoir. They repaired it in a timely manner and actually charged me less than the original quote. Champs Family Automotive continues to impress. They are my absolute go to automotive team.Professional and TimelyThis is the second time I ve visited Champs and each time I m met with true professionalism. They listen to what you have to say and diagnose the issue. My vehicle was completed in a timely manner and runs superbly! I would absolutely recommend Champs to any of my friends.Great Job

This is a long overdue thank you. We brought our truck in for service for a rear main seal. While on the lift there had been an accidental mishap. They were quick to notify and correct the situation. Their ability to communicate throughout made it easy to work with them.Thank you again for your professionalism, integrity and willingness to make things right.

Took my tahoe to see if they could figure out some steering issues that another shop failed to fix. They were able to diagnose and fix it the first day. Very easy to deal with friendly. Will absolutely be back next time I need repairs.

Champs is a preferred vendor for New Start Realty & Relocation. Fair pricing and accurate estimated ( yea i crossed check the book times) They have serviced our company and personal vehicles for many years now. Hard to find mechanics that service 3 to 5 ton vehicles and RV's with such care- They are not perfect but they stand by their work. Anxious to refer my clients to the RV concierge service in Surprise opening soon. Thanks guys!

Top quality and speedy service! I had three alignments done here and never had any issues after unlike a lot of other places. They also have communication and customer service. 5+ stars keep it up!

I can tell you for a fact that they didn t look at my car and are liars. They told me the parts for my car where discontinued but a quick google search showed otherwise. Huge waste of my time and money. I will never take my car here again.

This place is a rip off stay away from here ..there not in business to make new customers there in business to take advantage of the older folks..if you like to be ripped off this is the place!!!!I never seen anything thing like this place.. go to the next shop for your repairs..I m telling you and warning you!!! I have to say this is the best auto repair shop I've ever used. I just happened to bring my wife's car there for service 5 years ago because they were close to where I live. They did an awesome job explaining what was needed, performing the service, and even identified issues that needed fixing... Not now but in the future. Gave us a heads up and estimated 6 months left on motor mounts. Got it done by them after 6 months. I have brought used vehicles to them before purchase for an inspection and countless other services. Their prices are very good too. Not so good that you think you got scammed either.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

It started with the excellent customer service I got from the staff when I called for repairs. Dropped my vehicle off and within a couple of hours, they were calling me with repairs and approx. estimate. I took my vehicle in for my main issue which they diagnosed. They also mentioned to me that my window would not roll down, which I knew it didn't. They offered to repair if I wanted, I gave them permission since I knew eventually I would need it fixed. The cost of that was very reasonable. Champs I believe is not out to take advantage of their customers, I find this as very caring. The overall repairs, I found were very affordable for what I had done. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. Thank you staff/mechanics for an awesome job. Champs has always been our go to for our RV since we got to AZ 7 years ago. This time she had been sitting in storage since 2017 with out camping. Issues COVID and life. We are ready to use her again and she could not even get us out of the storage facility. Has her towed to the shop they fixed up in 2 days and now she is ready to go camping. We've been going to Champs for several years. Honestly, hard-working, detailed and truly the best place to have your vehicles worked on (even oil changes). We have 4 vehicles for them to work on and will continue using them! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great mechanic!

Service Advisor Brandt Boroviak and the service technicians were honest, courteous, and efficient. My 8-yr-old Ford Fiesta's A/C began to falter, and they diagnosed the problem in 48 hrs. Upon giving the company the "go ahead" on the job, the car was repaired in 24 hours, and I picked it up the next day. I had them inspect it, since it was nearing 100K mi., and they found a cracked spark plug, and instead of pushing me to have all plugs replaced, which would have meant more parts and labor costs, they were fine with me doing that job myself. I felt no pressure to spend more money with them. I really appreciated the very thorough reports they sent me (which included pictures) of the parts needing replaced, with the technician's notes detailing how he arrived at his diagnosis. The work orders outlining their estimates were detailed and made sense. This was my first experience with CHAMPS Family Automotive, and if there is ever another problem with my car, I will be calling Brandt! 5 Stars!!Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I was in AZ from out of state and my car broke down in the middle of the highway. I towed it to Champs and had a very strict timeline for when I needed the car back. They were extremely helpful and provided really great communication of everything that needed to be done and how long it would take. They gave me a date it would be done and then finished the car a day early. Can t recommend enough!

The staff here are amazing. Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I dont trust my diesel to anyone, however the staff at Champs figured out exactly what was wrong with my truck very quickly and the repairs were done promptly. I also work in the automotive industry, so I can definitely recognize and appreciate a good shop when I find one. I will never take my truck anywhere else. Shopping around for quotes and second opinions (I called 5 different autoshops) when Jake at Champs Family Automotive in Goodyear was the only one who actively listened. Also, he patiently explained the process to me each time I asked. Since cars are unfamiliar stressful area for me I needed to feel well informed. His professionalism and thorough explanation gave me the reassurance I needed to trust my vehicle was in great hands with a comfortable understanding of what exactly to expect through the repair. After all this vehicle holds my family in it everyday so trust that its in the rights hands is a priority. Thank you to Jake and the entire team for providing clean, professional, and efficient services and repairs.
