This hotel was exceedingly disappointing. While the location is handy, the rest of it was very very subpar - other than the breakfast area which was spotless. We had two rooms - one had a dirty washroom include hair and a scummy soap tray, the other reeked of cigarette smoke although it was non smoking. We witnessed four different very loud altercations between staff including the front desk person yelling over the phone at another staff person making it very uncomfortable - and that was not the only uncomfortable time. While the breakfast area was well appointed and spotless, there were not enough chairs for the people eating. While eating breakfast, we heard loud videos being played in the lobby - and it turned out it was the front desk person sitting in the lobby listening to their cell phone on full blast. The hotel did not feel safe, clean or welcoming - other than the breakfast area. We will not be booking here again.Rooms: They were not cleanSafety: We rarely saw someone at the front desk - it was very unclear who was staff and who was not - especially with the unprofessional actions of the front desk people (other than one nice gentleman when we checked in late at night)

The front desk staff was accommodating. The front entry was a bit weird in layout. A lot of potential, but not properly furnished/a lot of wasted open space. Not well lit either, and a huge space for eating, but hardly any tables/places to sit when they serve a hot breakfast. The bathroom in the room was definitely outdated and small. The best thing about the room was the comfy beds, but the pillows weren t great. The room also had little furniture and felt small. Definitely in need of upgrade. The floors were dirty, seemed that way throughout the hotel. For looking new on the outside, it was a big let down on the inside. The breakfast was good.

This Holiday Inn Express is a total dump and not anywhere close to the standards of IHG and Holiday Inn Express. At best, it should be a Motel 6 or a Red Roof Inn.The lobby is a mishmash of weird furniture and empty refrigerators. The staff is a mess. All on their phones. No attention paid to guests. And they don t answer the front desk phones. Had to call from my room ~5 times. And when a half a day went by without my bill being emailed, I had to call four times before they sent it.Similarly, when asking for firm/foam pillows: we don t have those. No bottle water in room nor any for sale.Room itself smelled of smoke. And the emergency fire sprinkler in bathroom was covered by thick plastic and rubber band indicating that either someone was smoking in there or they re very much against fire code.Back to the bathroom gross. All the caulk was peeling off. Dark lime stains everywhere. And a distinct smell of mildew. And the room. My feet got dirty waking around on the carpet. As if I was walking barefoot on a dirty sidewalk. Disgusting. And the rates. Given the lack of hotels in this area of Arizona and the number of mining workers who come to work for the week, the rates are astronomical. This hotel is making a killing and it seems they know they don t have to reinvest anything back into the property because the mining workers will continue to stay here.Avoid at all costs.

My husband and I are gold members with IHG and travel a lot for work and have never had such a challenge getting a correct receipt as we did for the stay. I called every day for two weeks and was on hold for 49 minutes until I was hung up on. The manager was rude as were several front desk staff (except for the cheerful young man that works in the morning). Hotel staff seem to be outside smoking more than they were at the front desk. We also saw hotel staff leaving hotel rooms, fixing their hair and shirts. It also took 3 separate calls (2 to HQ) to get points added for the stay. In general, the front desk staff seem very unprofessional and the hotel rooms were not very clean (smelled of mildew and marijuana). We will be staying at the best Western next time We are in Globe.

I have stayed at several Holiday Inn Express' over the last few years. This one was just average. The breakfast was fair. It seemed like it was not fully set up or something. The food coolers were empty. Staff was not very interested in their guests. I am not sure if I would stay there again. It was rather disappointing. IHG can do so much better.

Vacation stay2 adults 3 childrenReservation for 5/28-5/29.Where do I even begin. If I had had another option I would have taken it. On top of being charged twice, the room we had reserved was filthy. Found and Easter egg from someone's Easter stay tucked in the corner. Bugs in the shower. Roaches as soon as we walked in. Food shoved in the A/C vents. Disgusting cushions on the pullout bed. Had to go ask for any other room but that one and then to charge me twice! If anything I should be compensated! Should be ashamed that they offer that to guests. What an awful experience.

Had to stay here due to holiday week bookings at other hotels, This has to be one of the worst holidays Inn I've stayed at. I don't think they'd pass inspection for the "Holiday inn" name. Elevator not working for the 2nd floor still since I had to stay at this place months before for several days. Rooms not properly cleaned upon arrival, rooms in need of updating. The free Breakfast I stayed away from from looking at it.

Don't be fooled by the relatively high star count. I've read the reviews, elevators seem to be an issue here along with cleanliness (going back more than a year). That was my experience as well. No 1st floor rooms available and had to carry luggage up the putrid stairwell (literally held my breath as best I could). I was hoping that was the end of our issues... hallway greeted us with garbage all over the floor, then our room -dirty also. The staff doesn't seem to care about their reputation. My wife and I chose to sleep on top of the covers in our clothes. Bed was hard as a rock and the whole place smelled awful. I've been emailing customer service with no response. Finally got through over the phone and was offered 10k points to remedy the issue (not enough for a single night's stay). Disappointed in IHG. I'm Gold Elite and they still couldn't care less about keeping my business.

Be advised, their spa isn't working. The water is ice cold. Guessing by the accumulated crud in the water, it hasn't been maintained for quite awhile. This was one of the main reasons we chose this place, so I'm pretty ticked off. It's too chilly for the pool (also ice cold).Apart from that, the place looks nice. But the breakfast will really have to wow me for them to get another star. I was really looking forward to a nice soak.

The night time reception person was very friendly. It went down from there.Elevator need to be serviced. The hallways need cleaning, The room was half cleaned, no bags in trash cans, shower dirty and didn't drain properly.Beds looked unmade, one of the beds was missing the top cover. (Took a pic and showed the front desk so I wouldn't get charged for the missing cover)Breakfast..... Nevermind.Day shift front desk lady... Didn't care for anything.I can go on but, won't.I'm an IHG member.First time I've seen this in their chain of hotels. Please fix for others to have a better experience.

Could the hotel have been cleaner 100%, was the hotel to dirty to stay no! When I first checked in with the not very happy front desk clerk during the day I was given keys to a room that wasn't ready later when I returned. After returning to the front after hours, Will put me in another room that happened to be the handicapped room. Will was wonderful during my whole stay, getting me into another room and getting me extra towels for the bathroom floor. Would I stay again sure.. do I hope they start cleaning better.. YES!!

This hotel was disgusting!! The toilet was not cleaned and both of the beds were filthy! I don t believe they changed out/cleaned the bedding, they just fixed the bed after the last guests left. Not to mention, they are super overpriced!! If you want to book a quality and CLEAN hotel, book with the Best Western down the street.

I spent 5 days and 4 nights in the hotel. The room was NEVER maid, even when I specifically requested to do so. According to the recepcionist (very nice and polite), that's the policy from IHG. The carpets are dirty. The breakfast area has just a few chairs and tables. There's not enough people for keeping it clean. Is this franchise going to decay?

A bit disappointing. This particular day we stayed, the "key" machine was not working. In order to enter the room each time we had to call the manager to let us in. Very inconvenient! The room was nice, although the refrigerator and microwave were moved out of place into the room itself. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is very near the entrance to the canyon, which makes it very convenient to visit.

We stated here for a week for work. The service was terrible! We asked them to clean the room five days in a row and they never did. When I confronted the ratber rude lady at the front desk she had said they cleaned on Mondays and Thursdays for stay overs. They never cleaned the room. There were young maybe cillege afed kids partying in the room next to us all night screaming, fighting and blasting music till 4 am.We got fed up with the lack of service and decide to switch hotels especially after over hearing the front desk gal talking with the maid about a drug deal. I usually enjoy my stays with holiday Inn but this was absurd.

I have stayed here frequently for over a year so I feel I can write this with some objectivity. The beds are like cardboard, I bring a foam mattress topper when I stay. There have been 2 occasions I have stayed and there has been no hot water for the entire weekend. The rooms are somewhat clean, most don t have chairs for the desks. I ve found some questionable smears and stains on the walls, bodily hairs in the sink and tub area. There is also a different clientele that typically stay here so I would be aware of your surroundings. It smells like weed pretty much everywhere. I did have to call down one night on a Tuesday night at 2am because a person down the hall was blaring music you could hear it through the walls and I sleep with a sound machine. Ice machines are broken, except for one floor, pancake machine is always broken. Side back doors are left open (anyone can walk in). I did have one stay where I had just walked in my room and closed the latch on my door and 30min later someone (they gave my room key to another person) tried to walk in (the latch caught the door). I was about to leave to get food and someone would have had a free for all to my stuff.Im not sure there are many options in Globe.. from what I ve heard this is the nicer one. I have only stayed at the townsuites which I do not recommend.

If you're a wildland firefighter don't even bother staying here. Yes it may seem nice the 1st day you arrive but you will find the next evenings your room not cleaned or even any garage can in the rooms. I have a crew of 20 guys and all of them had to go ask for towels and toilet on multiple occasions. Also, they will charge you twice the amount they agreed on. Our night rate was supposed to be $140 a night and ended up straining my crew. My crew stayed 5 nights and I was charged 10,000 dollars for those 5 nights it's been a week already and they have not refunded me my money back. Wildland firefighters know that this amount takes a toll when you're trying to to get to point A to point B. 10k is a lot of money that is needed to provide for the needs my guys have. If your a crew due yourself a favor and avoid all this problems.

The front desk guy Will was very nice. Otherwise the breakfast lady was rude. The fridge with yogurt had an exposed metal hanger part that cut someone's finger and nothing was done to remove the hazard. We were given a handicap room cuz they don't clean the rooms often and it was all that was clean; the 's doors and bathroom were terribly designed. They gave us only one roll of toilet paper. The pool filter was broken so dead flies were floating around and then the door back in wouldn't work so we had to walk around. At 10:30PM a subwoofer started playing for twenty minutes. Overall, it seems like management neglects this place.

I have stayed at many holiday inns all over Arizona and California. There a brand you can always rely on and there consistent from hotel to hotel. The owner of this place is wrong. He up the price of the stay to 280$ a night. This has something to do with the fires out that way. So we pay and little do we know there's no breakfast. Which is advertised and spoke about when you call there . NO coffee in the lobby not even a continental breakfast. What really rubbed me the wrong way is they don't clean your room everyday..I have never ever experienced this at a Holiday Inn.The hotel is in decent shape however the cleanliness and attention to detail in the room needs improvement. Not to mention they have some of the cheapest , most uncomfortable beds ever. No comforter just a sheet and some sort of cover on top of it. It seems this owner has tried to cut every corner he can. Back doors dont open. You have to walk all the way around.Staffs not rude but the vibe is different. I will never stay here again and recommend you dont as well.

Just gross. If it had not been a long hot ride from Las Vegas we would have gotten our money back and went elsewhere.Staff was disshelved and unkept looking as was the hotel at large. Pretty sure our room was not cleaned at all. Just Hoping the wrinkled sheets were actually clean. Will not return for any reason.

We stayed here about 3 yrs ago and it seemed great. Upon returning this month, we noticed the level of care had deteriorated. First, we were given a room that was in the process of being cleaned by a maskless, gloveless cleaning person. Back to the lobby (where the deskperson was unmasked) who changed us to room next door (318). Bathroom had a hair in the sink, door handle to bathroom extremely loose, wastebasket by desk was finally found behind TV and not completely emptied. Two large stains on carpet, desk chair was soiled fabric so had to use a towel to sit on it. Sofa bed cushions of a different upholstery than the frame so must have had to replace them. AC worked okay, water hot enough. Mattresses very hard. Breakfast offerings sparse and unappetizing so we went to McDonald's. Won't be a repeat customer next time. Too bad the owners don't care about keeping their investment up.

This hotel has some serious management problems. When we were checking in they gave us a room key to someone else's room! We had to drag our bags to four different rooms for them to finally get it right. The manager acknowledged they had problems & offered to give us a discount (supposedly $25). The bill ended up being $29 more than we were originally quoted.

I do not recommend this hotel. I stayed here for 5 nights due to a work trip. Throughout my stay, the hotel had constant hot water issues. I only ever had hot water twice during my stay. Everytime I notified the front desk, I was either told it was a known problem, or that there was no problem since ' I was the only one complaining'. When I checked out, I was also told that I would not receive a discount for not having hot water during my stay since it was a 'unique' problem. The room was not cleaned once during my 5 nights, even after it was requested. I had to beg for new towels. I could not change to another hotel, otherwise I would have immediately. Avoid this place.

Rude staff. No housekeeping services, even when requested, they refuse to empty garbage or give clean towels. I am trying to wash my towels in the one working washing machine. When I tried to use the dryer, it took my coins but did not work. The woman at the front desk is so hostile that I do not want to be further upset by going back and telling her the machine ate my money. It is outrageous that the owners refuse housekeeping services - while charging full price, and not informing guests at check in that until you stay 7 consecutive nights, you have to have full garbage cans and dirty towels.I am far away from home, came to work as a travel nurse, it is difficult enough without being treated in such a hostile manner by someone in the Hospitality business. Terrible experience.
