The smartest and best decision I ever made was to take my boat to Bodnar Boat Works for its service. Their maintainence team is trained like no other. I've come to learn that other boat repair shops, including the big name brand shops get their certification and training on line. Like watching a you tube. This team, however, did a full maintenance, did custom replacement lettering and trailer maintenance on my Regal like no other. Then, the complimentary boat clean was a plus. I guess what really impressed me was that I gave them the green light to do anything they thought was needed, but didn't take advantage, (AT ALL) of that. They ONLY serviced and repaired what was truly NEEDED. That's it. Could have easily charged, and did more, but only did what was necessary. VERY ETHICAL. YES, I will DEFINITELY return for ALL of my service needs.Note: the attached photo has the original letters, the new ones are WAY WAY BETTER.

Took my boat in for many concerns, was quoted $1500 to service the boat, replace the prop and get a quote to fix the concerns I listed.came in to look at the boat after a phone call was then told they did a lot of work with out my consent. After talking with the team there, and being given multiple apologies I agreed to the new total which was $4,200. believing this was an honest mistake, and they said they would call me if any other issues were needing addressed or more work would be needed.went to pic up the boat, and the new total was now $5,400.00, going threw the bill with the new total and the estimate with the owner we found a host of things were added, and once again I was never called nor did I give the ok to do the extra $1,200.00 worth of work! The owner told me "this is how it's done" it "takes too long to call for approval for every thing", and refused to do the right thing. which in my opinion. would be to honor the qoute for $4,200.00Buyer be ware, you may go in thinking your only spending one price to only get handed a bill thousands more than what you agreed too.

I've been a boater for 40+ yearsRelationship with Bodnar's was solidified 15 years ago when they took a vhf call from me, dead in the water, 30 mi from the nearest marina, on a saturday afternoon, after closing hours, and walked me through how to fix it in the middle of the lake. They have taken care of all my boats since then. I trust them implicitly. They have never let me down.Bottom line, I will not take my boat(s) anywhere else for service, ever.-Michelle

These guys are fantastic!! Started off talking to Michele. She made sure to call and inform me thru the whole process. Very polite and courteous. She then sent me to Andy. What a great guy!!! Very thorough in finding out what I needed and was very honest on the time when they could fit the boat in and when it would be done. Pointed out a couple things that would save me time, money and would be better in the long run. He was correct!! Talked to Nick a couple of times on the phone. He is very willing to check up with the guys and get back to me on how the work was going. Steve did most of the work and it came out beautiful. Very thrilled with everything and everyone at the shop. Strongly recommend Bodnars Boat Works.Thank you!!!!

My boat guy moved so I was forced to look for a new service as my kill switch broke. Tried to do it myself...LOL. Scott rewired my mess and got us back on the water! This family owned show did the job under what I thought it would cost. Front office was kind, friendly and treated me like I was family. I found my new boat service shop. Thanks you! Sincerely, Captain of the Tipton.

Took my boat to Bodnar for yearly service, good price and they got it in right away.the guy who was working on it called about an issue and told me how to take care of the problem without added cost, most places just want to jack up the cost Bodnar didn't.When I went to pick up my boat the guy who did all the work spent 1/2 hour with me explaining everything that was done and went over a few things I needed to be aware of. Very good service, good price. Great people to work with, and they have a shop dog.

We were searching for a reputable shop to have our ski boat repaired. What we came across were rudeness and long wait times, when my husband and I stumbled upon Bodnar Boat Works. I have to say great customer service started at the first initial call. Kathy was pleasant to talk to, and Dana and the techs were very knowledgeable and can fix just about anything wrong with a boat. They listen to all of your concerns and take the time to explain what they are going to do. They were reasonably priced and the turnaround was quick and we were able to enjoy our trip with no further mishaps.Bodnar Boat Works will be my first call when I need a boat repaired.

Just wanted to say thank you Bonar Boat Works. My father and I purchased a 25 foot pontoon boat and decided to redo everyrhing ourselves...Mr. Bodnar helped us find the rite engine for our boat that was not only a complete upgrade but the pricing was reasonable....my father and I figured out really fast just how much can be done..And we will continue to reach out to the Bodnar crew for ideas and advice going forward as we continue to add to our prodject...And I really appreciate the patience, we probably drove him nuts going over the bill and trying to understand everything that was being done..they had no problem answering the same questions 20 times...lol. Thanks again. You guys do great work!!!!!Services: General installation, Accessory & electronic installations

Bodnar Boat is reliable and honorable. I took my 2005 Tige in for service in the spring several years ago and they were swamped with work but didn't rush anything. When they did get around to my boat, they called me with a detailed list of what they found and we worked out an annual maintenance that was perfect for what it needed without charging me an arm and a leg like many shady boat places would do.My 2005 Tige V22 has two batteries which are on either side of the boat and are tied in together to one master switch. Bodnar did replace one of the batteries as it would not hold a charge. A few weeks later, I took the boat back as the batteries were still having issues and they quickly identified a different issue and fixed it on the spot without charge. I think it was a connector somewhere between the two batteries which had not shown up until after I had taken the boat out a few times with the new battery. (Typical boat stuff, not bad mechanics!)This year, Bodnar sold my boat for me. It was a really good experience and Dana's handling of the boat sale was awesome.Great place, great staff...

Our boat purchase experience was 10 Star - Wonderful. We found them on-line listed on Craigslist and continued to researched for several days without finding any better deal on our new boat then what they offered; plus, it was right on site making this a very easy and fast transaction. Purely painless and a most pleasant transaction.Customer service being extremely good. We 100% felt like we were part of their family and were treated with utmost consideration and respect. Owner Dana and wife Kathleen were our primary contacts: nonetheless, it was easy to see that all the employees were happy and very helpful when asked to do anything. We would and will highly recommend this business to anyone wanting to buy, repair or do any list of things for their boat(s) to check with this dealership for their own personal needs.

DO not use this company we had a very bad experience and waisted money, AND the problem was not fixed ,as you can see in the reviews we were not the only ones that had this kind of experience, they don't deserve any stars

This is a great company! They will do great work for you. I have an older boat and spent a good amount getting this SeaCamper back to new. When I got it back, I took it out that day. It ran mint! Jeff and tech know what they are doing, and the job will be done correctly. The owner is also very knowledgeable, and gives honest advise. Let's face it, boats are not cheap. I didn't buy it to worry about pricing. This company does not gouge. These people are loyal and do fantastic work!

A few months ago, I took my boat in to get it looked at after I noticed an oil leak. After explaining to the mechanic what I noticed and what he saw when I took it there, A diagnostic was done and they could not get it to duplicate it. He stated to me that he could start replacing stuff but he did not think it was needed. He thought it was a purge in the system as the boat had been sitting for a while prior to my purchase. He was VERY honest with me and stated that he felt the boat was completely sound. After numerous trips out, the boat is still running like a top without any issues. I felt I was treated completely fairly and I will definitely take my boat back when it needs service or annual maintenance. The mechanic(Jeff i think his name was) who has been there for like 30 years is a very stand up guy. For a first time boat owner, I was pleased with the way I was treated.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! All summer I've been having issues on my 2015 SeaRay. I've taken it to a couple other shops, had a mobile mechanic meet me at the lake and charged, HUNDREDS of dollars to still not have a properly running boat or solid diagnosis. A few weeks ago I took my boat into Bodnar (thanks to a referral from a friend), and I had a quick answer and repair. The service techs were outstanding and I am a happy customer. Thanks for your honest, quick service! See you all next year for my tune up!

I'm usually not into giving reviews about anything but I would just like to say I was a little worried about getting work done on my boat. Its always kind of intimidating to walk in to a shop but it was not like that at all at this placeThese guys (and gals) were AWESOMEI have done a lot of work myself on my old boat but I took my outdrive in to have it resealed because I didn't wanna screw anything upI dealt with Jack on the phone and he treated me great. They got the work done fast and at a cheaper price then what he quoted me!I will be putting it back together soon to get it out on the water to see how it goes.My boat is an 85 Chris Craft so (I might have more issues in the future ) and now I won't hesitate to take it to this shop to get work doneThank you

Even though an initial estimated 3 week turn around time turned into 3 months, I am extremely happy with the job done. First time boat owners (very old one as well 86') trouble with reverse, water coming inside, and shift cable issues. Got out on the lake this past weekend and worked great. I called almost every week or every other week to check on status (I lile to be kept in the loop) and was always answered in a friendly and professional manner. Would recommend to my friends and family!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I bought a used Smoker Craft bass boat this business. When I went to pick up the boat they took the time to show me how everything worked and they explained what service/maintenance they had done so I was confident it was water-ready. Mr. Bodnar even fixed my trailer wiring so I could pull the boat safely. They sold it at a great price and the boat runs perfect!

No hastle or anything! They are completely honest and affordable. They are very kind and hardworking. If you need anything done, this is the place, I highly recommend it.

We want to thank Dana, Nick and the whole crew at Bodnar Boat Works for all the help they've given us! We were all set up to leave on a fishing trip we found our boat would not start. So early on a Monday morning we did some calling around and Bodnar was the only boat shop that would see us immediately. We took the boat in and they stopped what they were doing to troubleshoot the boat as we waited. When it turned out to be a major engine malfunction, we called Mercury and could get no satisfaction from them. Dana then called and got Mercury to stand behind the parts - saving us s boatload of cash! We are very, very pleased with the customer service we received, and will definitely use them for any future problems. Thanks again, guys!Mike & Jan Burn

Finally the customer service I expect as a consumer. Brought my Four Winns open bow to Bodnar for the first time this week, what pleasant experience. The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable, workmanship exceeded my expectations. What truly gained my trust is that the GM called me with updates regularly, A+ in my opinion! I will certainly be a return customer.

Not impressed! I am by far an expert but 5 hours to change the oil? Charged me 67.50 to change a bow light. Said they traced the wiring because it wasn't working and found it was a bad bulb. When pointed out that they could have saved time by replacing light bulb first and asked for good faith reimbursement on the time, (1/2 hour of tracing), was basically told to kick rocks that the price was what the price was.

I came in for repairs last summer 2019 and then I left town for work for 4 months. My wife picked up boat and took back to storage. I came back and wanted to know some basics about using and storing my boat I'm a first time owner. Brought in boat for another related issue"the trailer hitch" I got on truck no problem but couldn't get it off. I figured since you deal with boats you could help me. Nope you wanted to change out my hitch and charge me more money. I went elsewhere and was SHOWN HOW. Not told to replace hitch. My wife was told when I was gone working to bring boat back in and I would be shown basics how to use. I feel customer service wasn't as great as elsewhere.

I took our 2004 215WE Sea Ray into Dana and he and his crew did an outstanding job taking the bottom paint off and resurfacing the gel coat. Our boat looked pretty good already but we weren't going to wet slip it any longer thus the bottom paint removal...now she looks like a brand new boat! Dana and his team are top notch, know what they are doing and care about their customers. Take your business here and you won't be sorry.

I brought my 21' Maxum in for a summer "get ready" service which included a wet sand on the Gel coat. These guys did a great job across the board for what I thought was an incredibly reasonable price. They found a minor (and low cost) mechanical issue which the technician contacted me about and explained very effectively that "it's just something that needs to be done in order to prevent a bigger issue out on the lake". The cost was a nit but I appreciated his straight forward explanation. During that time frame I decided to sell the boat and asked Bodner's to broker for me. They did a great job of advertising and the boat sold to a person in New Zeland. Dana Bodner and his team did a great job of taking care of all the details and it was well worth the cost. Thanks to Dana and his team, very pleasant people to work with!!

Stay away!!After a 650$ estimate, between being given 3 different stories and prices by the owner Dana, Jeff and the other guy that actually supposedly looked at the boat, I was hit with a 3500$ amount for a new fuel pump, control box and a anual service.I refused the service and told the owner I would pick up the boat in 2 hours. When I went to pick the boat up, it was filthy, one side panel that was removed from the interior had curved from being left not flat, in the sun, control box was uninstalled, missing screws, engine cover apart, fuel pressure rail cap not in its place and the brand new upholstery I just had installed just a fee days before dropping it off is now cut in 4 places. And after being told I would get charged for one hour estimate, I was actually charged 1.5 hours because there was "something else done" by "another guy"....I am out 200$ for the "guestimate" 300$ for a new detail and who knows how much for the rest.Do not waste your time and money here. You will end up in the hole. You have been warned!!

Very unprofessional. I emailed them to get a estimate and schedule an appointment to bring my boat in to get bottom paint done. They emailed me back and said they know how much it costs but weren t going to write a book. I didn t want a book, I wanted a ballpark estimate before I brought it there. I had to email because at my work, I can t talk on the phone. Needless to say, I never got an estimate. Avoid this place, obviously they have poor communication skills
