They are Sloppy, Engine in my van blew in the area so I had them replace it. When I picked it up after done I only went several miles and the thing had no power. Took it to a ford dealership which upon inspection they noted they had damaged some parts during the repair and had never properly installed the whole air filter assembly. I paid them 10k for the new engine and now I have almost 5k more to get it back and running. And they refuse to stand behind their work.

The best garage of my life. I was on a road trip when my car decided to stop working properly. We took the car to Randy s downtown Garage. They were incredibly responsive and helpful. They fixed my car so quickly that I was finally able to continue and finish my road trip. Without any hesitation: you can trust them!!!!Thanks again for all guys !

We went yesterday to Randy's Garage because we were worried about the oil level. Sheri took the time to help us, she even called our car rent agency.She was absolutely AMAZING and so kind ! We had the best experience !

I had a good experience here! My car is a European from the early 2000s. It needed the heater core replaced (which was also affecting A/C cuz it s all the same system). Last winter, I just drove around cold until I had the $ to fix it this winter. It also had a transmission leak, supposedly. According to the place I get my oil changes. But! It turned out to be something else, after Randy s diagnosed it. After the thorough explanation of what it was *not the transmission* it all totally made sense. This and the heater core were 2 separate issues. But I wanted to fix it all within one visit. Those 2 big repairs only took 2 days! (After the parts came in). The price didn t seem outrageous to me. Sherry (the front desk person) was also very kind & knowledgeable.

Flagstaff local here. After a miserable experience with another shop doing horrible work, belittling me, and refusing to make things right, I called Randy's in desperation. They got me in the next morning, validated that my suspicions of shoddy work were correct, and got me an estimate for the fix within 2 hours of drop off. They did the repair same-day and charged fair prices. I am so happy with the help, quality service, and kind customer service I received. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Dropped my car off in the summer because it was running sluggish and seemed to be overheating. It was 100$ for them to diagnose the problem. 800$ for a fuel pump and 2 weeks later, they gave me back the car still running the same. I returned the car, and since they claimed my fuel pressure was better, they charged me another 400$ to get my coolant system and thermostat flushed. Got the car back, this time before I got home the car was going maybe 30 mph tops and was spilling coolant everywhere. 1200$ and almost a month later, I just wanted my car and some money back. They practically didnt give me that option, so they made it right by replacing my clogged exhaust manifold (the issue to begin with). A maybe 600$ header I paid 1200$ for, a month of my time, and 2 misdiangoses later I have my car running with a misfire. I had a misfire before so I figured it was fine. Now 6 months later, after changing spark plugs and cam sensors, etc to fix my misfire, I brought it to a different shop. Finally, the misfire was solved, this shop installed my header with defoulers on both UPSTREAM sensors, not the downstream, where they re supposed to be. So not only did they mess up my car 3 times, 1200$ later I had to pay another shop to fix their mistakes. All they do is throw parts at cars and make you feel ridiculous when you expect more than that.

My family and I were traveling from California back to Oklahoma from family vacation when our Camaro exploded fluids everywhere 5 miles outside of Williams, we managed to make it to Flagstaff that evening in a panic not knowing what could be wrong! I called Randy s at 8 am on the dot and Sherry told me they were booked up, but she was pretty sure they could get me in to look at it. I get there and speak to Aaron about our situation and he immediately comes out with his pressure kit and finds the leak! They ordered the parts and he even offered to fix my car in the parking lot if his mechanics were too busy for the day long story short they had my car fixed by closing time that same day and me and my family made it home to Tulsa without a problem! I m no car specialist so I m not sure what something like that last minute would cost but they were cheaper than any of the other quotes I got, and it still came out $60 cheaper than he quoted!!!! Randy's used to be a good place/ reputation in town, not since the new ownership.You will end up forfeiting more money into your vehicle than not. They do not care about your vehicle, or the well being of the driver in the vehicle.All Randy's care about is your $$$$Don't take your Vehicle here DON'T be mistaken that RANDY'S has fixed your Vehicle. In reality, they did not, they actually made it worse. I paid RANDY'S $3,000.00 fix my vehicle issue thinking I could trust RANDY'S I was badly mistaken.Find a different Mechanic that can actually do the job correctly, not RANDY'S.

We had a great experience at Randy's Downtown Garage. We are travelling across the country and had an engine issue. After going to several shops around town, we ended up bringing our van to Randy's. Zac was very kind and attentive. They were able to have a look at our van the next day. Within a few hours, they diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. They did everything they could to accommodate us while we waited over the weekend and when the initial repair didn't fix the entire issue, they took it back in immediately to make some final adjustments. Jim, the technician who worked on our van, was very knowledgeable and took time to speak with us directly to explain the issue and to point out a few other things to keep an eye on as we continue our trip. My boyfriends truck was having some troubles with the 4WD after coming down from the snowbowl in a snowstorm. They were about to close but still took a look at it to see if there was anything they could do immediately to fix it. Unfortunately it was something that would take more time but they helped put chains on for us and didn t charge us for their help. Very nice people and excellent customer service.

This is a very overdue review of the best shop in Flagstaff, the only shop that I trust with my car within the town and the only one that I would recommend. Randy's is an honest shop and will not try to sell you anything you need; instead of creating a long bill of parts that will break the bank, they find the best solution to get back on the road. The staff and owner are always super friendly and knowledgeable. I have had everything done by then, from an oil change to a new clutch, with everything being done flawlessly. Before going to Randy's, I got my car serviced at a dealership in town; I will not mention their name and was always unhappy with the service. We were on a road trip when our brakes started screeching. Randy took us that day and we were on our way in a couple of hours, didn t miss a step! We are so thankful to Randy and the crew. Car is running wonderfully

This is the worst experience I have ever had with an auto repair service!Zac was behind the counter and was exceedingly rude, used intimidation and fear tactics. There was not a friendly bone in his body. He also let my vehicle sit for 2 hours and did not even bother to tell me that they decided they were done with it until I got a ride back to the shop to check on it.They charged me $110 to do nothing to help me. Zac said they drove it all over town and there was nothing wrong with it. I drove it to O'Reilly's, about 2 miles down the road and it overheated. I was lucky to run into mobile mechanic, Noah Creek (Up the Creek) at O'Reilly's. All he had to do was flush the radiator and that took care of the problem!I don't trust Zac at Randy's because he literally lied to me in addition to not helping me.

Our head gasket issue was supposedly resolved, but when we drove to dinner that night, the Jeep still overheated like nothing had been repaired. We live full time in an rv so we pulled it to another shop. We are so sad.

Do NOT come here, ever. I went to Randy's looking for a diagnostic check and to get my power steering pump replaced, as it had been making a horrible whining noise for months. I spent almost $1,200 to replace my power steering pump and replace my rear brake pads. Within 2 weeks, the noise was back and worse than before. I thought it might've been caused by the cold front we had just gotten in Flag, but when I took it back to get looked at, all they told me was that I would need to buy another part to make the sound go away, but nothing was wrong. When I came back to Phoenix for the holidays, I took my car to my personal mechanic. He told me the damage they did to my car was some of the worst he's ever seen. They not only put on the WRONG power steering pump, but the way in which they did caused extensive damage in even more parts of my car. I paid 1200 dollars for NOTHING, and I mean legitimately nothing. I understand, I'm a young woman in college - I'm an easy scam. But after reading prior reviews, I trusted the company. Now, I genuinely think the good reviews on here were written by employees. I attempted to get at least some of my money back for the new repairs I have to do, but of course they told me "there's nothing they can do." I'm absolutely astounded a small, local business is totally fine not only charging me an insane price for literally nothing, but they created even MORE problems for my car.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were stranded in Flagstaff with a faulty fuel filter housing and they were able to replace it within 24hrs.Randy s garage was able to fit us in were others would not. Randy was very fast and professional. The new owner was extremely nice to me and my family and even had his cute puppers there to greet customers. I use my car a lot for work and they really helped me in a bind. My car was fixed the same day and was done well. I will forever be grateful to these people. Thank you.Highly recommend.

Wow! We re from out of town and our power steering pump failed just as we entered Flagstaff. Fortunately, we found Randy s through a referral from my nephew. They took care of everything in a timely manner, were professional, and on top of that they were very reasonable in their pricing. I have never taken my vehicle to the shop before. I've always loved fixing them myself. I have had a few bad experiences in the past that really turned me off from repair shops. Its hard to pay shop rates when you can fix it yourself and have an inherent distrust for them.Well, I find myself now at a point where I have no time to work on my cars, let alone my wife's jeep. When it came time to have my wife's jeep serviced I chose Randy's and have been very happy with the service. Their honesty and drive to save me money has impressed me every step of they way!

I've had my vehicles here several times for diagnosis and work. They have always treated me fairly and honestly. Took my truck to Big O Tires for a sound problem coming from back tires... they told me I needed a whole new differential and said it would be $2,800. Took it immediately to Randy's Garage and they checked it and said it was only the wheel bearing and saved me a LOT of money. Integrity. Randy's Garage has it.

Been showing family around the area the last few days, doing a lot of forest service roads. Noticed my wheels were wearing uneven. Took it in that day. My truck is almost 20 years old, so some new parts have been needed in recent years (spark plugs / wires, drive belts, timing belt / water pump, A/C compressor, climate control fan, brakes, shocks, transmission / differential fluid changes, adjusting parking brake).I've been impressed with the honesty and integrity that Randy's Downtown Garage has shown in replacing the parts required to keep my Tacoma running strong at 190k miles.Never a question in my mind that the parts and repairs are necessary and warrantied.I've lived in Flagstaff over 20 years and originally went to Arron and RDG after a bad experience at a local shop and couldn't be happier that I switched.Highly recommend!

Hello Id like to say thank you to Randy's and the help I received . Took my truck in for a massive oil catastrophe. It had oil all over the motor and had left me on I 17 coming home from PHX. After contacting the garage about dropping it off and, if they could get to it right away. As I had a trip planned with the truck. He said they could, this was a late Thursday night. Dropped it off using a key drop and detailed note which they provide to check-in vehicles after hours. I called 15 minutes after they opened next day and she was already reading my note and tech was looking over truck. Parts ordered that day and an estimate. Parts came in Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, I pick up truck. The girls in the front Jess and Sam are the best I couldn't be happier and would take mine back to Randy's any time.Service: Engine repair

Great staff, excellent service! Our car broke down travelling through Az. Randy went out of his way to help us resolve the issue by 1) diagnosing our car 2) telling us what was wrong, a warranty issue, he could not fix 3) contacted the Ford dealership on our behalf to facilitate a resolution 4) recommended Mart Anne's awesome breakfast shop so that we could eat and assemble a game plan for getting home.I feel like stopping by just to say, "Thanks" again, if I'm ever in town.

Nothing makes me more nervous than taking a vehicle in for repair - I always feel like I am just setting myself up to get money ripped from my pockets. However, working with Randy's couldn't be a more pleasant experience. After calling for an appointment, I was given a time to bring in my vehicle that fit my work schedule. Once I dropped the car off, I was given an approximate time they would have the problem diagnosed and an estimate. Very close to that time, I was given a call and was pleasantly surprised with both the price and when the vehicle would be completed. It was done before I got off work that day at a price I would have never imagined - close to the price that other chain repair shops in town charge just to diagnose the problem. I would highly recommend Randy's to anyone!

Honest high integrity management is what keeps me as a customer at Randy's. Even under new management, they still uphold the same values as being an honest mechanic shop -- which is not always easy to come by. Aaron and the mechanics have put in so much work in to diagnosing my car and have not once made any frivolous or costly repairs without logical reason. Many other mechanics have quoted unnecessary expensive repairs -- but not Randy's. I trust them and would highly recommend them to anyone considering services!

I called this shop and asked their next availability for a diagnostic appointment to check out an issue on my car. They told me to come in a couple days later. I left my car there all day and they didn t even look at it. I had to take multiple buses both times to get home and back since I don t have other means of transportation. It was incredibly disappointing that I wasted my one day off for them to not even bother looking at it. If they didn t have time to look at it they could have said so, why have me bring it in at all?Service: General repairs & maintenance

Hands down, the best thing you could ever do for you vehicle even when it's barely acting up, is taking it here. Excellent service from everyone. They all smile, joke, laugh, make you feel totally welcome and comfortable there. They really know how to put your mind at ease about leaving your vehicle there. I honestly was nervous that, with the work I know I needed done, that it was going to be way out of my budget. But, no! I was totally wrong. It was actually half of what I expected to pay. I was and still am so grateful that I came here first, to decide where I'd take my ride. No regrets. I believe I have found my garage for as long as I have a ride. Thank you so much, Randy, Susan and the rest of the staff! :)
