HONEST and TRUSTWORTHYHonda said my sons car engine was totaled and if we wanted to replace the engine it would be 7,500 which is more than the car was worth. We took it to R & A and they said it had too much oil in the car, they burned it off and the car is fine!! We are driving it with no problems! We have never experienced such horrendous, unethical service as we did with Honda. We are beyond grateful to R & A for being competent, honest people who do the right thing.

Update 2024: I still love these guys! They have continued to do excellent work on my vehicle and are always going above and beyond in their customer service.Original review: Steve and the crew at R&A have always been courteous, professional, and honest. The cost of repairs is fair (and they often haven't charged me for small things) and they get the work done when they say it will be done. I'm happy to recommend them to everyone.

I have been taking my Subarus here for 15 years, and all I can say is that these guys are THE BEST. Integrity, honesty, and a genuine care for their customers is what Steve, Ben, and the rest of the crew is about... it's been my absolute pleasure to be their customer for all of this time, so grateful for this top-notch shop!

Wonderful customer service! Kept me updated with what was wrong, when the part would be in and when it was fixed. Also explained everything very well so I felt comfortable with what I was paying. Definitely coming back!

I've been taking my Subarus to R&A for the last 10 years. It's great having a local shop that you can trust. They always explain the issues they find and do a great job at a respectable price!

Recommended to us when we moved here 20+ years ago and we've been forever grateful for the recommendation.Excellent work, friendly service, extremely HONEST. They won't try to get you to do things you don't need. And they won't let you drive an unsafe car. We have all our scheduled toyota services done here.You might pay less somewhere else, but it's not worth it.

These guys are amazing. Power steering pump was whining and just by opening the hood knew exactly what it was, ordered the parts for me and told me how to fix it. Super easy fix but I really appreciate how they didn t try to get more out of me and empowered me to do it. Their customer service is unmatched. I ve also been there just to ask about different Subaru and Honda models and felt like the they have no problem taking time out of their list of things to do to treat me like the most important. Definitely found a shop for Honda repairs that I can t handle on my own.

My mom went there for years, and I started going as soon as I got my first car. Amazing service, honest mechanics, quality work. They knew I was on a budget and every time I came in, they gave me a list of things I should eventually fix, but told me honestly how important the repairs were and how long I could wait. I was never talked into unnecessary expenditures and trusted them 100%. Great people! The only complaint I have is that they didn't move with me to Phoenix! Now who am I supposed to go to?? :)

Could not recommend R&A more. Their work and customer service is phenomenal. Steve will go above and beyond to honestly inform customers about what services their vehicle requires. I know this personally as well as from hearing him with other customers while in the waiting room. Local dealership quoted me almost 5K of services, at R&A it was less than $500 as well as showing me why I didn't yet need services that the dealership quoted as required.

Car was finished on time, within the estimate and answered my questions without having to look stuff up on the computer. These are the Flagstaff pros for our Prius and Highlander!

Honest, Reliable, Very Professional. I used to go there years ago when I owned a Toyota. Now that I have a Subaru, I'm back. And I'm so happy to be working with them again. I will never go back to the Subaru dealer who tried to up-sell the repair I needed and overstated the cost of my repair. R&A is the best in Flagstaff.

My Dad has been taking his 20 year old Camry to R&A for years and has raved about them to me. Recently my teenage kids drove the Camry from Flagstaff to Virginia. Steve explained what they needed to know about the car and said to call if they had any trouble on the trip. He could tell I was a bit nervous about them driving 2100 miles, I think! On the first day, they switched drivers and the car wouldn't start back up, so they called Steve, who diagnosed the problem as an issue with the transponder in one of the keys. The other key started the car just fine. Steve was great: friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Highly highly recommended.

This shop is very straightforward and skilled. Took in my Forester for what I though was a transmission problem; they took a look and ended up fixing the issue for only about $200 (parts+labor). The work was supposed to done in a day and unfortunately was not, however, they were very sincere and apologized and explained why it worked out that way. Steve and his team will take care of you. Would definitely recommend and will be taking my Subi back for any work I need!

I was taken advantage of the last two times I did business with these guys.The latest was not being made aware of the fact that a replacement part for my seat warmer was going to cost over $400. My bad for not asking how much the part would be, but truly who in their right mind pays that kind of money for a totally frivolous part on a 10 year old car?! Steve should have made me aware of the price before the fact.Also, when I ask them to figure out what a problem might be I DO NOT authorize them to fix it right then and there. I expect a phone call to discuss and approve of the repair.

I have ptsd when it comes to car repair shops, as I ve been screwed up by a couple.Well let me tell you how this shop is nothing like that.I was driving through flagstaff the day before thanksgiving and my break and ABS light went on.Of course I panicked and wanted someone to check and repair the car so I can make it to Santa Fe. After calling 3 places in flagstaff, and being told that sorry we don t have time for you Ben at R&A told me nicely that he will take a look at it.I was so happy to be welcomed with a smile and friendliness and he took him less than 30 min to check my car. He took the time to explained to me what was going on and reassured me that I could safely drive.On top of that he didn t even charged me for the diagnostic.While waiting a saw so many locals coming and getting their car fixed or maintains and all were very confidente about this garage s knowledges trustworthiness and honesty.I will probably not stop by this place again but I can only recommend it to anyone that ever in need of someone to take good care of their car!

These guys are great - honest, straightforward, knowledgeable. I've been taking my older Forester to them for more than a year now. I like their friendly style. They're always booked up for weeks, which i take as a good sign that i'm not the only one with this opinion.

R & A was amazing. We were referred by a different mechanic shop to go see them. Phenomenal service at an amazing great price! Helped us deduce what was wrong w/my suv. Didn't charge me for everything they did. Hopefully I wont need a mechanic anytime soon. But if I do, I'm going back to R & A.

I just worked, via phone, with the manger Steve on an 'unusual' problem that my daughters Subaru had. Our daughter is a Senior at NAU and I live in Colorado, so I was a little concerned at first. It's not clear what caused the problem, but R&A had worked on the car this past summer so we contacted them. After explaining the situation to Steve, we had the car towed to R&A. R&A checked out the car, couldn't determine if the issue was caused by them or something else occurred, but they fixed the problem and did not charge my daughter for the repair. Steve was very polite and professions during the entire process. I would highly recommend R&A for your car repairs.

I was passing through Flagstaff on a road trip on highway 66. I got a problem with my car on my way there. This garagist was very kind, he took a look at my car first thing in the morning and repaired it quickly for a very good price. I was impressed with the service and would strongly recommend this place.

The absolute best garage in Flagstaff! The service is excellent. They care about fixing the problem, rather than just taking your money. I have used them for years and wouldn t go anywhere else.

These guys are the best mechanics in town. They are honest and while they aren't the cheapest, they do save you money by not fixing things that can wait. I trust them and won't take my car to anyone else.

Honest, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. I only purchase vehicles that this shop can repair because I know I can trust them to fix my cars at fair prices. I highly recommend these mechanics to anyone whether passing through or locals.

The four hardest things to find when you move are a dentist, hair cutter, vet and auto mechanic. I trust Steve, Ben and everyone else there to do right by me and have not been let down yet. Scheduling can be a little drawn out for routine things, but if somethings gone really bad, they will get you in, and get it done, at a fair cost.
