My car was fixed in a timely manner, good pricing, friendly service, actual mechanics that know what they are talking about (they don't rely on a machine or computer to guess whats wrong). Thank you!! Highly recommend!!

I doubt I will go back to kens. It's overpriced slow work. The price was a good 100$s above tino's quote, and it took way longer than expected since they broke my center console without telling me. The guy tried to get rid of me saying it would take till tomorrow to fix it. I took the offer and the car was left there for another day. I would suggest apex auto if you plan on going here.

Had my LR2 serviced at Ken s. Blew a radiator hose so we had them do a complete radiator flush, new hoses, new thermostat and coolant. They reset a code that put the car in limp mode due to coolant contamination on a sensor contact. Not the cheapest but well done and timely. I would recommend Ken s and I would use again.Jaime

Tino and crew did a great job of diagnosing and fixing the issue with plugs and coils on my 2014 Mini Cooper S Countryman. Plus, it was ready within a day of when I dropped it off.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repairServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

If this is the place on butler Rd, I was underwhelmed. The front door was locked and blond hair mechanic saw me there for 40mins. He has to be a mute, because he never said anything to me. I should send them an invoice for wasting my time. Here is my.mercedes i need help on. July 5th they were closed along with the 4th, and the 6th as well, because i did not exist. It's disappointing, as i needed there help, and I focus on Mercedes Restoration/Detailing/Ceramic Coatings, as I remove scratches, swirlmarks, and it has been my experience that both disciplines, go hand in hand. Meaning in Sarasota, the mechanic there sold my services to his customers as I was trained in Stuttgart, and everyone had scratches and swirlmarks from carwashes.

The water pump in my Mercedes failed in the desert and I was referred to Ken s Import Service in Flagstaff. I called and explained my predicament and they professionally helped me make a plan to get the car towed and checked out at their shop where they replaced the water pump. They did a great job keeping me updated during the process and I found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Thanks to the team at Ken s Import Service I felt confident driving back home to the San Diego area following the repair. I was impressed by the way they did business and appreciated their help.Service: Auto water leak repair

So far so good on this scheduled service. Check engine light showed for an O2 sensor, which the shop proactively replaced as the warranty was still good. This sped up getting the car back without losing any days to update on the service needs of the car.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance, Oil changeServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance, Oil change

We pulled off the highway after noticing a pulsing in our brakes. They diagnosed the problem same day as a special help as we were driving across the country. Next day we had new brakes and rotors and were back on the road. Many thanks. I d recommend them to anyone.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

A local dealer quoted me $1400 to fix my A/C blowing hot on the left side, saying the whole motor was toast and needed a replacement. On top of that, the dealer did 3 to 4 things I didn't even ask for and tried to charge me for it.Ken's was a no-bull experience. They took my car in and fixed the A/C issue, which ended up being a stuck vent. They did everything I requested, solved the problems and gave the car back same day of appointment.10/10 take your car to Ken's

My 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon broke down in Sedona and the car mechanic there couldn't work on it, so they referred me to Tino at Ken's Import Service. We got the van towed there and Tino did a great job of diagnosing the problem and fixing it. He even held the van for a month for me to be able to finish my trip then fly back to flagstaff to pick it up and drive it back to Los Angeles, which I did with no further issues.Highly recommend Tino for Vanagon repair!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

I called the owner and received an appointment to change the oil and check maintenance. Had an agreement with him that I will wait in the shop. He asked me to come at 8 AM. I took one day off and arrived at the exact time. He was not there and his employee refused to listen to me. Said I can NOT wait and I need to drop the car and leave the place immediately until they call me when the oil is changed. No estimation of time. It was raining heavily, and he showed me a bench on the side walk as my place to wait if I want to wait but I was not allowed to stay on the premises.I got an appointment at University Auto Repair, and they offered me an excellent service, best price, and no, I did not need to go to a special place for European cars. UAR took care of my X3 and I could choose between waiting in their place with wifi, soda, coffee, etc., or use their free shuttle service to go back home and then getting picked up once the work is done.

I own a 2009 Mini Cooper S that I bought new and that the family loves. I have always taken good care of this vehicle but Mini s have a tendency to be mechanically needy after they get around 100K miles under their belt. Tino and his guys (Jake primarily) did a bunch of work over the last year with just wear-and-tear (brakes, shocks/struts, sway bar bushings, headlight assemblies, etc) repairs and then driving up I-17 from Phoenix, the engine hand-grenade d itself. The banged engine was not related to any work previously done by the guys at Ken s, a piston cracked and let go. Because of all the work we had previously done and the otherwise excellent condition of this Mini, we decided to have Tino and the guys install a factory new Mini N14 engine, clutch, turbo and all new hoses and belts. The car runs great, like it did when it was new, it should cuz it basically is a new car. By the way the car now runs and looks under the hood, it seems like they did excellent work and there is a two-year warranty on the engine.Services: Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes

My VW broke down in Flagstaff during a 3-week camping trip. Tino understood my situation and was kind enough to work me in to his lineup of customers on May 12th. I stayed in a nearby motel only one night and was on my way the next day after Tino diagnosed and repaired a serious mistake by the previous mechanic. Tino's detailed notes describing the repair and recommendations for future actions were greatly appreciated. I very lucky to have found Ken's Import Service and am grateful for Tino's mechanical knowledge and kindness to an out-of-towner and first-time customer.Steve CameronServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

My car unexpectedly broke down, I called around and everybody was booked for weeks ahead. They were able to get me the same day and work on my car the next day. They were a little expensive but they got the job done.

I have brought my vehicles here for probably 20 years. Years ago Honda told me I needed a $1700 repair. The owner at Ken s told me it was a tiny leak that could be topped off at oil changes. That honesty and constant quality of work, along with friendly employees like Poppy make Ken s a worry free experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Just moved to the area and wanted to find my new mechanic. Explained the problem over the phone and dropped off car using the key drop, since COVID restrictions closed the lobby. Was difficult to get information on the diagnostics. Would call, and the person answering the phone wouldn't have information and the mechanic who did know what was going on was inevitably unavailable. They would promise to call back with info promptly but rarely did. After almost a week, when we finally got a quote, the price seemed unreasonably high for an independent mechanic and the service required seemed pretty vague. We decided to pick up the car and take it to a different shop. Much to our surprise, the car that we dropped off in running condition, now wouldn't start. The mechanic explained it died at the end of his test drive, but he hadn't tried to contact us at the time because at the time he was late for an appointment. Since they hadn't actually taken anything apart, all they were sure of, was it needed "major internal transmission service." Thanks for the revelation -- that's why we dropped it off. Anyway, had it towed to the dealer, with much more effective communication and a similar price for the repair.

We received an oil pressure alert so we took the car to be diagnosed. We were told that BMW recommends the oil filter cap to be changed on these cars so we had them order one. We needed the car back before the weekend so we asked if we could put the cap on ourselves and get the car back. We were charged $236 for the oil cap and labor to tell us what BMW said and we re told that might not even be the problem. I wish we were told on the phone to start with the oil cap and if that didn t work to bring it in. It seems like a lot of money for simply a diagnostic and an oil cap.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I ve been a customer of Ken s auto for 15yrs, they just put a new radiator in for me. I m glad they caught it, because it would of cost me a lot more had it over heated. I trust the team there at Ken s auto, and Tino is the owner, he is an honest business man and I feel good about the service I get. I highly recommend Ken s auto! And I am a women and my husband recommends him too! Christine StephensService: Air & cabin filter replacement

Took my husband's classic Mercedes in for repairs. Told them right up front there was a transmission issue & the alternator belt broke. They said a week to look at it. Called back after 3 weeks to get nothing but excuses. A month & a half after dropping it off, I came by to see for myself what was going on. Car had sat in the exact same spot for a month with no repairs done! I was charged over $160 for a diagnostic & 7 quarts of fluid. Our classics will be taken elsewhere from now on.

I had a very positive experience using Ken s. My daughter car was towed to the dealership for a broken radiator fan. The dealership quoted me thousands of dollars of work and repairs.I decided to move it to Ken s. He recommended a towing service, they immediately got my daughters car. Turns out the dealership was lying and it was not going to cost thousands of dollars to repair. He fixed the fan and a couple of electrical issues. My daughters car was repaired and ready in 2 days. I paid 1/8 of what the dealership wanted to charge.Communication was good and I would highly recommend Ken s Import Service. Honest, reliable auto service and repair. My daughters car is a VW Beetle.Services: Electrical repair, Engine repair

I was away from home on vacation in Flagstaff and saw the warning for an oil change. I contacted Ken s as my car is an import with a very specific type of oil (you can t get it at Jiffy Lube). Drew at Ken s got my VIN and ordered the oil along with the parts necessary to do the change. That was on Wednesday and the change was completed the coming Monday. I checked with the dealer in my hometown prior to visiting Ken s. They said it would be a month before they could service my car. They also quoted double the price! Car is running great so far. Thanks for the research and availability- I don t know what I would have done otherwise.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I brought my VW Camper Van in because the positive battery cable had shorted out and the electrical supply to the van way gone. The van was towed to Ken's. Long story short, he replaced the batter cables and connections. Additionally he found another cable short that will be corrected at an RV repair center. This had been an intermittent problem for several years and Tino had been the only mechanic to take the proper time and expertise to diagnose both problems. The fee was more than fair. They also take good covid measures. Highly recommend.Services: Electrical repair, Battery, Oil change
