I called in a panic from the valley with my daughter in Flagstaff stuck in the side of the road. One call to Alex at Flagstaff Auto Repair and he got her right in. Within two hours he diagnosed the issue, test drove it to make sure the issue was resolved, and called me with great news. The repair was minor, but he checked out everything it could have been to put my mind at ease too. Thank you Alex for getting my daughter back on the road. I m one happy mom and customer. I told my girls if they ever have an issue with the car again, this is their shop!

Went in to get car checked before a big road trip and fix a windshield wiper. I had been waiting a bit longer than I anticipated because they needed to fix something with my brakes, which I didn t mind waiting too badly, but the owner Alex went out of his way to offer me a ride home and back to the shop once the car was ready, as I had no other ride available. Everyone here was so kind and thanks to the ride I was able to go home and nap/ relax a bit! One of the nicest auto repair experiences I ve had!

Paid over $1,200 to have an air conditioning issue fixed. In my travels after, right before Yuma my a/c went out ust some weeks later. Putting my 'Lil pup and me in 115� weather and no a/c!They took a look at it again. Said it was fixed.I went to the Valley a week later and the hose popped off.Ended up taking it to a reliable mechanic who charged me less than $900 to fix my a/c.Now I'm out $1,200 from Flagstaff Auto who just should have admitted they don't know how to fix a/c. Instead they put me in situations AND ripped me off $1,200 dollars!

I got a standard oil change & tire rotation. Very prompt responsiveness. Transparent communication while my vehicle was with them. Same day turn around. What s not to like? I will be going back!

I called for an appt a week ahead of time. Got towed in on the appropriate day, and after an hour or so was very politely told they didn't know why my car wouldn't start, and that they were short handed, so it would be best for me to go somewhere else. They towed my car out onto the street with a tow strap and that was that. Very nice people, but don't expect to get your car fixed.

CALL ASCOT MOTORS INSTEAD!!I wish there was a spot to rate with negative stars. I had a horrible experience. I paid $1,500 for a job that didn't even get fixed. They wanted to charge me another $1,500 to redo it. Because a part I supplied seemed to have failed Instantly. The problem is they didn't even bother to investigate why it failed. The parts I supplied are good well known parts from a very reputable company. They have their own warranty. Needles to say.... I would never recommend this shop or it's business practices. Do NOT go here unless you're looking to get ripped off.

My car was making horrendously loud metallic scraping noises. I called, brought it in and within a few hours they found the problem and fixed it. Amazing customer service, fair prices, and the friendliest staff!! Definitely will be going back for future needs and highly highly recommend for anyone in Flagstaff who needs a mechanic :)

This place is dishonest. The owner Howard is really rude. Over the phone he s polite and ropes you in, but in person he s a grumpy A hole. That will straight up lie to you in hopes that he can make money. I think he s so depressed and hating his job because he failed at something else. The whole office is a nasty mess that smells bad everything is covered in dust. It s sad he has all these trophies laying around in a mess and he just treats people poorly. No honesty. Really bad service!

I have heard nothing but horrible things about this place. We took our vehicle in for what should have been a basic repair and they charged an extreme amount for almost nothing. Clearly they are not running a reliable business and are taking advantage of the fact they are one of the only repair shops in a small community.

These guys are the real deal. Brought my vehicle to them for the second time for minor repairs, Howard and his crew got it done! Flagstaff Auto Repair is an 11/10. So my window broke and I didn't have a lot of time to go in for repairs due to the nature of my job. I work at a group home for individuals with special needs and we were low on staff-- so I really needed to be at work. Also, this was right before monsoon/flooding season.Not only did they fix my window within the day, but they drove me to and from work AND Flagstaff Auto Repair. I m so grateful I called! Great people!! We were coming through town and had driveline problems with our Jeep. Wesley the service writer was accommodating located a driveline had it delivered over night and got us back on the road. The owners were great and talked about where to go for good food and things to do. Theses guys were great squeezing us in and providing the help we sooo needed. I would trust these guys with my car again and would highly recommend their shop. Turned a bad situation into a fairly decent good time by the way great food in Cottonwood!!!

We were on a road trip and they got us in extremely short notice. Great service at a reasonable price. Needed a diagnostic/ oil change and tire rotation, to set us up for the next part of our drive. One of their employees was even able to drive us to breakfast. Very personable and gave us recomendations on what we could do in flagstaff/ surrounding areas. These guys were really nice to talk to and got me in the same day to change my fuel filter and were able to accommodate my truck and a large trailer but this is by far the most expensive place I have been to. They charged me an hr for a job that shouldn t take more than 30 mins. They also charged 184$ for filters they paid 82$ for I know because I saw the invoice. Even the dealership charges close to 110$ I wouldn t recommend this place to any one unless you have money burning a whole in your pocket.

They are very experienced, professional and prompt and friendly. I took in my truck for an oil change, they noticed an alignment repair that needed to be done. Then were able to schedule me in very soon, and they did the work well. We were on vacation in Flagstaff when our check engine light came on and the car started sputtering. We called Flagstaff Auto and we were NOT disappointed! Not only did they greet us with a smile but they fit us in so we could get home. They had a nice waiting room too. We called other auto shops and they were not as nice or professional. All were too busy and didn t care how we got home. Never been so pleased with an automotive repair shop before. Thank you Flagstaff Auto! Oh they also recharged my AC which also decided to go on the blitz on the way to Flgstaff. It was so hot and only getting hotter. They saved me! Howard & Laini run a great operation and seem to care about their customers. On 2 occasions they have bailed out my Phoenix-Metro based Mazda 5 when we've been visiting the cool pines of Flagstaff.The first time my car had run over something on I-17 and something plastic was dangling off the under carriage and rubbing. The team took care of it by tacking it back up and we've had no issues from it since.The second time my car was overheating and boiling the after a run up Humphrey's Peak to see the changing aspen leaves. We pulled into the lot at about 4:50pm (they closed at 5) and Howard came out to look at the car and made a quick diagnosis that the system appeared to be holding some pressure and they could put some coolant in and check it in the morning. Long story short, the next day they were able to determine that the radiator cap was bad and while the system had pressure, it wasn't enough pressure. What might have been a repair in the 100's was much less because of that rascally radiator and the honesty of Flagstaff Auto Repair.Finally I'll offer this as a comment to all of the negative reviews, nothing in life is perfect, but when things go wrong it's how we react that defines who we are and how we are perceived. Auto repair is no different. Treat people with respect and they usually return that respect to you.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I love Howard and his team! I have been using them for over a decade and I won t take my car anywhere else.I recently bought a Jeep and took it to him for an overhaul. Flagstaff Auto was very helpful! We were passing through town and needed a repair. They fixed our car quickly and charged us a very fair price, even though we were in a position where we would've paid whatever they said because we needed it fixed right away. We really appreciated them!

11 out of 10 for this place. We were passing through town when our car was giving very clear signs that we should get it looked at. Not only did the staff here help us right away but they let the 6 of us chill in their waiting room for 3 hours while we figured out a hotel and car. Then they went out of their way to check on product recall for the broken parts, then gave us as many discounts as they could. They made our car a priority and fixed it as fast as they could and were overall kind and caring. I m very impressed with the level of service here

I called Flagstaff Auto Repair after visiting a chain car mechanic and getting told that my repairs would be approximately $2000. I talked to Dustin and he gave me a price estimate over the phone, quoting more than half the cost that the other place had told me. When I dropped off my car, Dustin told me that first they would check to make sure that my car actually needed the repairs that the first shop told me I needed. After they determined that I did, he told me of the repairs in language that I could understand, and charged me a very fair price for it. The customer service was absolutely fantastic, and they do great work.

As we were moving from out of state one of our vehicles had smoke coming from the back. They could have easily been dishonest and replaced working parts. They quickly ran a diagnostic and came back with a thorough solution. This might be the best customer experience I have ever had. Phenomenal people. Thank you Amber and Dustin and the whole flagstaff auto repair shop staff!!

As I was traveling from UT to help my son and his little family move, we had car problems and arrived in Flagstaff not knowing anyone or how significant our car problems were. We read the reviews for Flagstaff Auto Repair and decided we would go there. As a single woman, traveling out of state, I could have been an easy target to be taken advantage of. Instead, these wonderful people fit us in to their busy schedule and were honest and helpful and got us back on the road with minimum cost. This kind of customer service is rare in today's world! I highly recommend Dustin and the other great people that helped us at Flagstaff Auto Repair.
