Just a young guy from Phoenix brought my trailer in here after having a bearing go on my axel. I had it happen just outside of flag coming down from Winslow and it had me super stressed. I had it towed in the morning to their shop. I was greeted by very nice people it seems like it s run by the family and they are all a pleasure to work with. I was also very stressed on what the bill would be and hoping I wouldn t be taken advantage of based off necessity. They were very fair with everything and showed me my hub and went over the things wrong with it to insure they weren t just pulling a fast one. This went a long way with me and I really appreciate it. I told them I had work the next day and they managed to get me in and get my trailer repaired before putting back on the road a few hours later. Thank you guys for the service, all the questions answered and a honest and fair deal. I would go out of my way just to let these guys work on my stuff!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Buddy and Lacey are incredible. Our landing gear sheared just before we left for a 25 day out of service trip, and they fixed everything while we were gone and kept our 5th wheel safe. We have been full time for over 4 years now and this is the best repair shop we have found. 1000% recommend and will go to them again should our travels take us their way.

Came in on a Tuesday morning to get my hitch extension fixed. I m traveling through so always worried about getting screwed far from home. No way! Buddy s entire crew jumped right in to help, even though they were already busy with other work. I was in and out in 30min. All employees were helpful, positive l, and knowledgeable. The best part was the exceptionally fair price. I STRONGLY recommend Buddy s. (My photo is NOT from Buddy s but shows my rig).

I discovered a series of cracks in the aluminum frame of my travel trailer. Not everyone can handle a project of this complexity but Buddy and his crew were able to get us back on the road. They repaired the failure and custom built a steel exoskeleton to reinforce the stress points. The work was professional and completed in a reasonable timeframe (even in the busy season ) with great communication throughout the process.I m typically a very fussy customer and want things done right. Buddy s delivered. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I don t leave a lot of reviews but Buddy s was really awesome. Called them up and they gave me two options for what I was looking for along with the price (same price as Amazon) and gave me easy directions to the place. Everyone was really friendly and helpful when I got there. They even carried my item out to my vehicle and helped me out with a recommendation for a pie shop. I hope I don t need their services again, but if I do, they will be at the top of my list and I will recommend them any time an opportunity comes up. This level of service rarely exists anymore. Thank you to the Buddy s family.

While traveling, our trailers axle bent, springs were shot, had cabinet doors inside fall off from continuous potholes on I-40.They were kind, thorough, honest and professional. They worked tirelessly with us and our insurance company. They made sure that the repairs done made our trailer safer and structurally sound. They went above and beyond to get us back on the road with a dependable rig. We would recommend Buddy and his staff to anyone for reputable workmanship.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Needed work on the motorcycle carrier on my RV as I was passing through town. He fabricated a custom solution in one day even though he was booked out for weeks. Much appreciate the excellent work and kindness of Buddy and employees.

We had a problem with our RV rented. They were very gentle, listening, helped us identify the cause which was almost nothing and only due to our lack of knowledge. Overall, very honest and helpful people and they did not charge us anything for their kind help!

We had an appointment to get some minor repairs on our travel trailer. We took it in the day it was due, and had been initially told they d either repair it quickly, or if they needed parts that would take longer than two weeks they d call us to come get it and bring it back once the parts arrived. We had the camper there for a month, and called three times hoping for any update or estimate. Every time we called we were told ours was next on the list which clearly was a lie, as when we finally had to go pick it up it had not even been diagnosed or even looked at. They also left the camper unlocked the entire time we had it parked there. If you are looking for a place to store your camper for a few months for free, they d be good for that, but if your looking for timely repairs, and honest updates about the timeline of said repairs, go somewhere else.

I would be vigilant when getting our trailer repaired here. People here, especially the receptionist, are super sweet but they can get you with this kindness. We were forced to overpay a pre-agreed estimate by a very large dollar amount.I would also be concerned about unnecessary upsells. Usually I don't trust my truck's service advisors, because that's their job - they are sales people who sell repair services. And, try to speed directly to mechanics to understand that my truck really needs. Because this time a mechanic told me that I needed a propane hose because mine was getting torn, I believed him. After paying for the hose he brought in, I realized that there were no signs of tare when we first washed our RV, (then only 3 months old) and we just filled up our tank just a day before. So, I asked if I could have my old hose but was told that they can't find it (possibly because it was thrown away). I was also unable to get a proper explanation about the damage the other mechanic had seen. When I reminded him that he told me that it was him who saw the torn propane hose, he could not answer and started walking away. So, while this mechanic and the receptionist were looking the other way, I pretended to be exiting the building and closed the door from the inside. To my little surprise, I heard the mechanic saying how much of an easy fool I was to buy the hose ... I am not a confrontational person especially over small purchases, but I knew then that this would be our last time bringing our RV & trailers to Buddy's.This occurred in May 2020, and since then we installed a solar system and have been using propane only when gets cloudy for several days. I remembered the Buddy's experience because we are getting ready for our labor day trip and our propane tank becomes empty despite very little to no use within 2-4 weeks of filling it. This could be because the hose they installed was too big that the mechanic had to forced it to fit.

The man at the desk will quote you $1000 in parts cost (not even any labor). When told that the manufacturer provides such parts at $200 each, he will tell customers that the markup on parts without labor is due to "overhead."Go ahead and skip this local business if you are not looking to get gouged for simple parts.

We needed our electric brake unit installed for our travel trailer. Lacey took care of us with no appointment and she knew exactly what was needed. And Buddy provided the expert installation. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend them for any travel trailer needs. They ROCK !!!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Back story, we're a military family in the middle of a cross country PCS and a husband with a broken right hand. We have our truck pulling our travel trailer and a 26ft Penske pulling a car hauler. We stopped in looking for a replacement part for our weight distribution hitch. The lady up front is ab absolute sweet heart and went above and beyond trying to help us. She searched high and low for the part we needed and was unsuccessful. We settled on a new hitch and this is when things went south. It was around 3PM, two hours before close, and I asked if there was any way to have this installed today or tomorrow before we continue to California. The lady said she'd have to "ask the boss" and you could CLEARLY see from her demeanor that she already knew the answer. The gentleman from the back said "NO, that's a one hour job and we're booked out. You know every shop around here has a guy like you!" I asked is it possible to buy the hitch and have someone local like a mechanic install it. He said I'd recommend you to "route 66 repair" but they likely won't help you either. This place is a prime example of fantastic employees who work for an absolute ***. I could only imagine the daily mistreatment they must deal with.I would never recommend this place to anyone. I personally would not buy a 10ft piece of chain from someone like this.Stay away, you've been warned.

Buddy s Welding and RV Repair installed a solar system in my van two and a half years ago and just completed an upgrade to my system last week. I highly recommend Buddy s. Their work is excellent, the equipment was installed with great skill and well designed. The cost was very reasonable and the job was completed in two days. Plus, Buddy and everyone working there are just plain nice folks!

Great people! I had a bracket on an airbag break and really needed it replaced. They did not have one to sell, so they were nice enough to stop what they were doing, and made one for me, and got me back on the road. They were very reasonable on their pricing as well. I really appreciate what Buddy's Welding did for me.

Buddy and his crew were very helpful in repairing our weight distributing hitch for our camper trailer. They welded a new bolt on where one sheared off (the repair is still holding fine a couple thousand miles later) and charged me a very reasonable sum for the work. They took on and completed the job very promptly despite being busy with a steady stream of RV folks coming in with their maintenance needs and repair laments. My impression of the people and this place were of great competence, deep knowledge, and genuine kindness. Before I left, Buddy taught me about the points that needed lubrication on the hitch. And then, instead of selling me a tub of grease, he says oh you don t ever need much of this and goes back to the service bay, returning with a ziplock bag with enough free grease to last a long while. Support this business...you won t regret it!

The owner, Buddy, works on site and is a great guy. They have a pretty extensive welding / fabrication shop. He made a fantastic spiral staircase for my construction business. Price was good and so was the quality. I don't know much about their RV service, but I know they carry a lot of parts in their shop. I can recommend them for metal fabrication and purchasing raw metal.Services: Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning, Battery

The wife and I are full timers and I bent a stabilizer jack on our 42 foot fifth wheel coming out of a steep parking lot. Called around and an RV repair place in Cottonwood recommended Buddy's to me for the welding. Called them and setup and appointment for a few weeks out. Brought the trailer in a little late in the morning than we said we would (About an hour). They said it was okay, they could still take it. They originally told me it should be done same day and asked if I wanted to lift the other stabilizers to prevent them from getting damaged in the future too. Of course I said yes and the Wife and I took the dog and went out for the day to enjoy Flagstaff. I called them around 3PM for a quick update and they mentioned the damage was a little more severe than they originally thought and it wouldn't be ready until the next day. No problem, the wife and I found a pet friendly Marriott property downtown and stayed the night. Next day trailer was ready after lunch. Towed it back to our campground and everything worked great! The price was about what we where expecting to pay. They also re-attached a weather strip above a slide out for us too. Overall a good experience and I would definitely return. Even got the propane filled while we where there.Okay kids, lets talk about your expectations when you are having repairs done. If you are an RVer you MUST realize by now that things don't always go according to plan and you need to have a backup plan ready to go when it doesn't. This is applicable to life in general but especially RVing. If you make a plan and expect it to unfold exactly how you planned it you will live a life of disappointment and anger. The same applies to having repairs done on anything, RV, truck, car, boat, whatever it is. If we had not thought about "What if they can't get it done today and need it an extra day?" we would have been pretty upset when that happened because we didn't have a plan laid out. Instead it was a minor annoyance but we just enacted our plan to stay at the hotel we found previously and left the following day. Hell we actually had a great time staying an extra day! We even had a plan if they needed it longer than the two days! That might be a bit extreme for some but the point is, have a plan for things costing more than you think and taking longer than you think and you'll find your life to be a lot less stressful. Be flexible and have a backup plan.Stay safe out there!Service: Body & Trim

We were far from home our home in Virginia and had a bent axle on our camper trailer. Buddy got it done in 24 hours and for a very fair price. Thanks to Buddy, we are back on the road and our camper feels great. Buddy even called to check on us while we were driving down I-40 in New Mexico. I cannot say enough good things about Buddy.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

On our first day of an RV vacation to celebrate our granddaughter s 5th birthday a big rig had a tire blow in front of us causing a copper electrical cable under the coach to drag on the ground and get chewed up. We arrived in Flagstaff at 11:00 pm and we re waiting at Buddy s door before they opened. Within 15 minutes they evaluated the problem and were able to fit us into their busy schedule. Within an hour one of their people was fixing it and assisting my husband in the repair of the black tank line that had also separated during the accident. Buddy s is the best!Service: Electrical

Had a heavy leveling jack on a Class A motor home break off while extended. The Winnebago factory weld simply failed. Buddy s Welding & R.V., Inc. worked me in and did an excellent job disassembling the jack mounts, welding the U-beam securely to the frame and reassembling the jack to factory positions, and also saw a stretched Banks exhaust pipe hanger so they replaced it while they were checking out the other welds. Reasonable price and I have complete faith in the work that was done. I have been a Cliff s Welding - Mesa fan, but Buddy s in Flagstaff is every bit as good.

My wife and I were in Flagstaff trying to get some warranty repair work done on our Keystone Cougar fifth wheel. After a week of battling with Keystone over cracks in our bumper do to failed welds, Keystone denied our claim. Buddy's Welding & RV to the rescue. We took our fifth wheel over to Buddy's. Buddy was very personable and was able get us in the next day even though he was very busy. What a life saver. Buddy knows his craft very well. He was way ahead of me as to what was wrong and what needed to be done. Brought it in on Tuesday and picked it up on Wednesday morning. Could not have asked for more. Not only did they fix my bumper they made it better. They made it stronger so I can now take the spare tire out of the bed of my truck and put it back on the bumper without having to worry about the bumper cracking and failing again. I would HIGHLY recommend Buddy for any repair work on your RV. If you need some work done I would call Buddy's Welding & RV first before anyone else.

First of all, the one star rating is due to their lack of customer service skills. I never made it to the point of actually having the work done.I stopped by Buddy s RV to get an estimate on replacing my 12 awning fabric. Buddy looked at the awning and gave me a quick quote. The price seemed fair, it was about what I had expected. I explained to him that my partner and I lived in the motor home so we couldn t leave it overnight, it was our home, and he said it wasn t a problem. We went back inside, I chose my awning color, he wrote down my contact information, and said that when his assistant came in she would give me a call to get my credit card information and order the fabric. I thanked him and left. That was around the first of August.More than two weeks passed so I called to check on things. Buddy answered, he didn t seem to remember me, at some point he seemed to remember us talking, so he took my credit card information and ordered the awning right away. He told me that it would probably be a week to ten days.Another two weeks passed by, so I called. Buddy answered, took my phone number and told me he d have the lady that sets the appointments call me back. She called late the next day. She said they had the fabric and asked if Friday was okay. I told her to make sure and pick a day when they could for sure get it done because we were nomads and we live in our motor home, so if they couldn t get it done in a day, just make sure it was drivable and we would bring it back the following day. She said she understood, then she asked me if I could drop it off Thursday. So, I assumed that she felt that Thursday was my best option and I agreed. I told her I would drop it off early the next morning which we did.We spent the day around Flagstaff, on one of the hottest days of the summer, trying to keep cool and semi comfortable until they called to let us know it was ready. We never got a phone call so I made sure to get there before they closed only to find our motor home parked in the back lot and the awning hadn t been touched. When I went inside I told the lady at the desk that I noticed the awning hadn t been replaced, at which time she informed me that it was scheduled for the next day. Evidently, the multiple times I stressed we could not leave the motor home overnight did not register.I was quite upset, explaining once again that I had told them time after time that we live in our motor home, leaving it overnight was not an option. I canceled the Friday appointment because it was already late in the day and we were camping about 40 miles away and didn t want to spend the very next day traveling in two vehicles back and forth in the heat, it was just too much. I asked for my key, and she couldn t find it, then I heard a voice from the office behind her say that the key was in it.So, frustrated, I walked out. When I got into our motor home, there were obvious signs that someone had been playing with the radio and antenna, also later after we got to our campsite we also found other little indicators that someone had actually been looking around inside, even browsing inside the cabinets. I was not happy!A week later, when we needed to run errands in town, we made the drive back to Flagstaff and stopped by Buddy s to pick up my awning or at least get my money back. I knew from past experience that they would never call to either apologize or to reschedule the appointment, and true to form, they made no attempts to contact us.When I was walking into their office I noticed a long shipping box thrown on top of some junk outside the door. It was my awning. It had been left outside in the rain, the box had deteriorated and was now in a sort of elongated Z shape, which I knew was bad for the material. I took the box and left.Worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.

We were traveling when our trailer brakes started locking up when ever I touched the brakes. Found Buddy just by chance and he immediately figured out what was wrong and had us back on the road in less than 2 hours even though he was very busy with other customers. Highly recommend for any trailer repair or parts! Thanks you.
