Honestly I wouldn't ever recommend this shop. It was unprofessional from the start. In the beginning I was not informed of any information about the truck. I dropped it off asking for my AC compressor and my ebrake cable to be fixed. I made an appointment a month out and dropped it off with the understanding that they would test the system and give me an estimate on the job. The first call I got was a week and a half in saying they already installed a new compressor that they didn't call me to approve, then stated that they are not sure why but it's not blowing cold still. Cool no problem, I wanted my ac so I let them diagnose it and let me know. They called back a whole week later with some other guy telling me that after they installed the new compressor they just turned it on without checking anything else. They ended up sending metal shrapnel through the rest of my ac system. Again, this has all been essentially not approved and is only being told after the fact.Ok I give them the benefit of the doubt, let's replace the parts needed to replace(which should have just been the whole ac system kit and they should have discussed that option with me) piece by piece they replaced everything which in the long run is more expensive. This is a back and forth for a month. Finally, they "figure out what the issue is" which is supposedly a hose. It takes them 4 tries of getting the correct hose taking another 2 weeks. After receiving the hose they took another week to get it on, after all of that. I figured there done, but no after that week they call me, I'm expecting that it's done but apparently the whole 2 months they had my truck and were waiting on parts for the ac, they didn't just order the ebrake cable and get it done, so now I waiting another week because a few days later he calls me saying he frayed the and needed to order the part again.Now the present, I have my truck back, but they threw the contents of my glove box on the floor and never cleaned up their mess in the process somehow losing the little book with all of my vehicle maintenance history. I had aftermarket led interior lighting that is now trashed and ruined because who ever was working on my truck somehow ripped the cords out of place and tore wires apart rendering half the leds usless. I have zip ties holding wiring in place that has also been cut and was not replaced. Also I was told that my battery was dying over and over and they offered to replace it. It's a brand new battery, I checked my drain when I get home. I found out it was because the led lights they broke, they left on and the one that still works was draining the battery. Took me a whole 2 minutes to figure that out.To add insult to injury, after everything was done they showed off the ac which barely blew cold, colder then fan but not by much. I took a look at the work they had done and found that my low and high end Schrader valves on the AC lines were loose. So i had to tighten them and fill it back up with freon. 2 months they had my truck and you couldn't double check the parts you were working on I kept my cool in person but I'm frustrated beyond belief. There's nothing they could do to fix what they lost or broke. I'm not asking for more help.This is a warning. Do with it what you will.I will not be wasting my money or time here again. Very sloppy work.They were always kind and treated me with respect and also I feel like the price was fair for the work done. Those are the ONLY REASONS they are not getting a 1 star.Edit, I found cigarette butts in my vehicle. I'm not a smoker. Changing my review to one star

Eddie Encinas has taken over Tuttle & Son Transmission. I live in Sedona and will take all my cars here. Name now is Encinas Automotive and Transmission. They understand transmissions and don't try to get you to fix something that isn't broken . I paid $235 instead of $4300Estimate from my Sedona mechanic.

Do not hesitate to use Tuttle and Son Transmission. They are extremely honest and fair. They replaced my transmission and did a great job. I will be using this shop for all my future mechanical needs. Thank you Roy and Royce.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Honest and fair , Ive have not had transmission work done yet . However Ive had other things diagnosed and ac repaired. They often do more than just transmissions. These guys are not your typical local Boys, who only want your money !!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! Went in to get a rebuilt transmission. It has broken done for the 5th time in less then a year. He has now told us to contact the parts supplier for a warranty. His story and the suppliers do not match on what he has put into the truck. No I will not go back!!!

Fair prices and good work. He communicates what he's going to do and then he does it well. He can come off as somebody that's not extremely friendly over the phone but I think that's just because he's busy. When you meet him in person he's a really nice guy.

Mr Tuttle is a straight arrow. We had a tough transmission issue but he stood behind his work, knows what he's doing, is reasonable and reliable. Thank you Mr Tuttle.
