Long day of riding and at first you go , what is this place ...We were welcomed nicely , rooms are small , very small and the bed omg was so comfortable I slept like a baby.Restaurant closes early 5 and opens at 8 with friendly locals wanting to chat ....they even hook us up with a gallon of gas to make it to the gas station

We always stop here for a meal when we get a chance. A very quiet place in Chloride, AZ. We had breakfast, which didn't disappoint. We didn't stay in the hotel. We did ask for a tour of the property. The cast of Rebel Rousers stayed here when filming. There's plenty of things to do nearby to keep you occupied for a day. There's a mock ghost town, rock murals, antiques, general store, and a bunch of history. It's worth a visit! I know we'll be staying next time you we're in town.

If you're looking for a cute inn within a historic small town, this is the place. The hotel is smaller and a little dated but in the best way. The owner checked us in and he was so polite and hilarious. The rooms are always clean and you never have that icky hotel feeling the next morning. The inn was created way back as a stagecoach repair building and they're updating some things to make it more homey and modern. I'm the area theres a lot to see, but be careful exploring off paths because this was once a major mining town and there are leftover mines around!Nearby activities: Hiking, famous murals, ghost town, historical markers, historical society, Yesterday's restaurantFood & drinks: Food quality is always delicious! Down home and comfort food is what's served at Yesterday's. Coffee is the best in a restaurant I've found in a while!

I've never heard of chloride. We stopped in the middle of the night cause we really needed a bed to sleep in. (We were passing thru) i was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was. The bed squeaked a lot but other than that it was a nice room. Queen bed, comfy, cool air, microwave and fridge, coffee maker, bathroom was nice. I would highly recommend. Wish we had the time to explore the little town. It was pretty cool. It reminded me of tombstone but smaller.

Very interesting place. Inn is comfortable and welcoming , the restaurant attached is the same. Oldest mining town in AZ, pretty much disappearing. If it s on your way, definitely stop by.

Pros:- For the price, we would have paid triple for a traditional hotel room with the same space. We got two queens and 2 twins across 3 bedrooms and private bath for less than a 2 queen traditional room.- Cool area off the beaten path in a town of population ~300.- Free parks and attractions around the motel.- Staff provided that country hospitality that I m used to feeling when I lived in a small town. Super friendly!- Amazing views if you aren t used to the mountains.- Very Clean!- Amazingly comfortable beds, slept like a baby.Cons:- Motel. It s very clearly a motel. Hotel being posted everywhere doesn t change what it is.- The structure/doors/room itself may have last been repaired and/or renovated in the 1800s the town is themed for. The barn door style doors to our bathroom were damaged on arrival and barely worked, and did not latch/lock. Was easy to work around, but still - A regular all these ingredients are from Walmart sandwich and a small bag of chips out of a variety pack isn t $12 y all Biscuits and gravy aren t $12+ y all Drinks weren t even included We would have eaten breakfast if it wouldn t have been so much for regular stuff. In a world of AirBnB and being able to choose cooking my own breakfast at my own pace, $12-$15 for a standard breakfast with no drink is a little nuts.- Owner gave my mother-in-law a beer very clearly saying it was on the house with her $12 cold cut, then had his employee charge us for it in the morning. No big deal, but really?- Floor unit ACs weren t turned on until we got there or just before, but the mini fridge was left running before us and heated the rooms. Took about 2 hours to get to a comfortable temp.- Our shower head was about 10% functional, but did inevitably work for our showers. In summary: Just going to sleep there and leave? Easy, do it, it s great. Staying a while and depending on the facility for food and such? Just expect the room s cost to be offset because you cannot cook for yourself like in an AirBnB.

Rustic, rural, and relaxing! Stop and stay in nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Eat and have a have a drink at Yesterdays. Meet the locals and relax in this authentic small town. Was the perfect pause in our vacation! (Internet is not the fastest but works, just disconnect and relax for a night! You can upload photos tomorrow) This is the place to slow down and see where you are and what's around you. When you do so you'll notice a cow walking through town at sunset, a deer eating nearby, and relax.

The room was quaint and comfortable. Jim said; he slept like a baby. The bed was comfy we took an afternoon nap woke ready to go. Good food , could have used some extra help in the serving dept. The evening brought a intimate gathering of Family n Friends in the Courtyard. Very nice experience. R.I.P. Tom - We love you Linda Eaton and Family.

When we were there it was very quiet, I think we were the only guests. Price is very reasonable, and the restaurant is a great place to have breakfast. Everyone was super-friendly. Our room was nice but small, and the bed was soft. A short drive from LAS, if you're headed to Grand Canyon Skywalk or Phoenix, it's definitely an option, however the Skywalk is about 1h 20 min plus a 10-minute shuttle ride, about twice what was advertised.

Very cute. Rooms have portable air conditioning that kept us comfortable day and night. Very welcoming staff and considering how old this place has to be, very clean. Bed was not the most comfortable but we were informed they were being replaced by September 2018. If you enjoy historic places you will love this one.

Very friendly stuff. Gave me three snack bags and two bottle of water. The room was very warm and outside was freezing. The most important thing is that they send the phone charger back to me with no charge. Very generous people. Feel very comfortable staying. Highly recommend.

This is a really neat historical hotel which served many purposes since the 1860s. It's unique and has a nice rustic charm. The room I stayed in was just redone and was very nice with a comfortable bed. Wifi is available but slow so be aware of that, although this hotel (and the town itself) is a great place to unplug and enjoy the simpler things. I would recommend this place highly!

It smelled in the room like in horse stables. Birds start singing at 5am, and even though I sincerely like birds and animals, sleeping in such noise was impossible. It took 40 minutes to get breakfast tea after we came into the restaurant. I ordered pancakes (50 minutes) they were huge and RAW. It was a big mistake on our side that we came to such a place, having read all the great reviews. Maybe it s ok for locals. For me it was a disastrous experience. The staff is friendly and all, but it does not change a thing.

Friendly folks.Comfortable room.Good breakfast. Was a nice quiet stop along our way, as we traveled around Arizona and Nevada, taking in some sights. Slept so well. Got up for the sun rise, and took a cup of coffee from room with me to view it. Recommended.

Great experience! Friendly checkin although we arrived at 11:30 pm. We were upgraded to a newly renovated room. It was clean and pleasantly decorated. The beds were the best we slept on during our 5 day roadtrip.Room had small refrigerator and a coffeemaker. We received welcome basket with snacks and a few bottles of water were wanting for us in the room.

Arrived very late, but David met us with a smile, snacks, and had cooled our room prior to our arrival. We had a great time at Shep's Miners Inn. The facility is very old, and has not been updated in awhile, but we have no complaints. The room was clean, cool (thanks to the portable AC and box fan), and was well stocked with snacks, water bottles, and coffee/maker. David made this stay great, and we really appreciate it! Hope to see y'all again soon
