The cottage we rented was the 2 bedroom, I had changed it from a studio because I thought it would be bigger but I wasn't really happy with it because it was still pretty cramped but very cute I love that there are porches with outdoor seating and coverage from the sun. The towels and bedding all very clean aside from the random few hair strands but that didn't bother me to much. Super cute bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom and the pillows were nice. The shower head we had was crazy when I turned on the water it sprayed every where and the shower curtain was to high it didn't touch the ground so the pressure from the crazy shower head made the curtain blow outward and got water on the floor, I turned it off quickly as to not make to much of a mess but needless to say we had to be real careful ANY WHO! Long story long, place is cute looks like they have a pretty cool clubhouse you can rent right by the pool (very clean by the way, LOVED THE POOL AND HOT TUB) but unfortunately I probably won't come back and the reason is THE BED!!! THE BED IS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE PLACE I HAVE EVER "SLEPT"! Hard as a rock!!

Short term visitors are 2nd class citizens here. I have never been so offended or treated so poorly by the long term people in any park anywhere ever! The people in 140s row were horrible to us for the 9 days we were there. We wanted to leave early but they have a no refund policy. We would walk by with our no barking 6 foot leashed dogs and say hello. They would look directly at us and absolutely no greeting beyond a glare. The best thing about this park is the lesson that I learned that I will NEVER treat people so mean spirited. We will never return to this park. The cluttered look this park is taking on with their long term residents predicts, IMHO, that VRRV will soon look like a homeless settlement.

This review was for our stay in November of 2022. It was originally posted to RVLife Campground reviews, apologies for forgetting to post it here as well for so long:The scenic views of the mountains here are amazing. Amenities and park activities are also plentiful, and ATT service works great here. This is NOT a nice place to visit with dogs despite being a "dog friendly" park. ALL of the grass is densely saturated with very thorny stickers. It is so bad that after a couple of walks, my dogs started using the bathroom in the street and avoided the grass at all costs. I consider the thorns in my "cleanliness" score because this is something the park could treat for with weed killer. The areas of the park that ARE treated, also have a "no pets" sign attached meaning my pets cannot enjoy the nicer parts of the park. The dog parks are small and rough terrain that my pups also did not enjoy.A LOT of full timers here with rigs that look like they should be retired. Park does not appear to do any kind of "eyesore" verification of what is being brought into their facility. 5mph speed limit means you have to spend more time watching your speedometer and hovering over your break pedal than watching for pedestrians and being safe. The rules enforcement was our last straw. We never had any issues, but seeing in writing that the "First warning is when we ask you to leave" did not make us feel very welcome. We immediately began searching for a different park that would be more welcoming to their guests. Tmobile and Verizon were both non-existent, and Starlink was decent during the day. Camp wifi was hit or miss even with the park 1/3 empty. Park also does not offer refunds of ANY type. We payed for an entire month and only stayed 4 days. Our lesson here. Be very sure you want to stay here before giving them any money. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

My husband and I rented a cottage right on the Verde river for less cost then a hotel room. The service at check in was friendly and fast with a wonderful map of the park and all its amenities. The cottage was impeccably clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property is so clean and well landscaped with trees and grass everywhere. We were able to take walks along the Verde river and enjoy nature. The pool and hot tub were spotless and heated to perfection. Meals at the clubhouse were delicious for a low price! We will stay there again and recommend it to all!

This place is the BEST! We rented a 1 bedroom mountain view cottage. It was just right for our family of four. Kitchen included stovetop, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, a few pots and pans. Clean. A great amount of hooks for towels, jackets, purses, etc. Beautiful little rv park with a river running through it. Lots of things to do here: swimming pool, hot tub, billiards , pickleball shuffleboard, fitness room, miniature golf . They have activities in clubhouse on different nights like bingo and other community activities. It's about 30 minutes south of Sedona . I would recommend and come back myself.

Nice place to stay... stayed here twice in our RV for overnight stays!Long sites with plenty of space, mature trees, and a nice dog park area.Far enough from the interstate and main roads to provide a quiet atmosphere. They have planned activities, get-togethers, meals, etc. on their grounds. We had a great meal the one time we stayed.

Very nice RV park with a mix of visitors and long term residents. Family friendly and holiday focused... would return here if in the area.Update: My husband also wondered why I didn't give the Verde River RV Resort & Cottages 5 Stars? ... so, I'll update it to 5 stars.

This is hands down our favorite park we've ever stayed at. It's surrounded by mountains, has nice spots for all rvs, excellent amenities, and wonderful staff. They put alot of work into keeping this park beautiful and lush. The amenities here include a pool, hot tub, saunas, miniature golf, activities almost every day of the week, and an incredible game room, community room and workout room. The staff are always lovely and helpful. We are only leaving due to a new job, otherwise we'd stay here. It's absolutely worth it to come here!!!

We stayed with our 40ft RV for about a week at the resort.Lucky for us, we scored one of the shady RV spots by the river, close to the bathhouse and the dog park (we have 2 dogs). The resort and all the facilities are super clean, which isn t always the case in the camping world .We enjoyed playing pickle ball in the evening after it cooled down a bit (lights at the court) and taking our dogs for a walk through the park. It was nice to see people taking care of their yards and watering the grass daily. A little bit of greenery is so nice among all the red dirt of AZ. It s very obvious that they have great management at the Resort. The staff was super nice and accommodating and even had recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.I would definitely stay there again.

We visited this RV park almost 20 years ago and boy has it changed! The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are top notch, the staff is amazing and we just loved our week here. The addition of the pool, spa, community center, fitness room, clean laundry area, pool tables and the grounds - don't miss this place! We will absolutely be back soon.Nearby activities: Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona, Prescott, hiking, biking, kayaking, wine tasting

Best campground of our month long vacation!!! Enormous and beautiful pool! Bathrooms immaculate! Service was amazing. Lovely treed pull through sites. Bonus was the hot dog and hamburger nights for an extremely reasonable price. Best night was when they had a DJ playing music... got to have a swim enjoying oldies but goodies! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this campground to everyone!

Disappointed that as long lasting repeat customers we were treated with such disregard & rudeness! Previously during our stay here (over 8 months) in our RV & renting Cabins we always paid on time, were clean, neat & quiet, zero problem Senior tenants & had a mostly nice experience! We put up with the dust & a couple of evacuations during the floods last year & were some of the few who actually returned afterwards. Oh & we voluntarily PAINTED WITH OUR OWN PAINT, NOT ONE, BUT 2 OF THE PICNIC TABLES (with permission), because they were old and splintery. Additionally, we never asked for a thing in return, not even credit or a refund for the days we had to go elsewhere during the mandatory evacuation. This time however was different! We commute between here & Alaska (our other home) since having bought acreage in the Verde Valley. We made a reservation over 3 weeks ago via a phone call with the office (Ellen). Side Note: at no time did we go online to make our reservation since we practically know the phone number by heart! So we usually just call. During the phone conversation with Ellen we made a full reservation for a Cabin rental for a week & at no time were we told that blankets, sheets AND towels would NOT be provided! Finally, after arriving & having driven nearly 4,000 miles, super excited to be back at Verde River RV, just grab a shower & get into bed, we go in our Cabin only to see that there are no sheets, blankets or pillows on the beds & none anywhere. Furthermore no towels or a single washcloth! And the bathroom bar of soap was open & soggy from the prior guest apparently! We could ve worked around that no biggie but now it s just like every little thing added up! Sooo we called the after hours line, thinking easy fix, slight mistake, & spoke with a gentleman named Gary & explained our situation but he wasn t hearing it! First he said that they don t provide linens or towels with the Pet friendly Cabin. Apparently because of something about dander or hair! Fine but our dog doesn t have dander or shed he s hypoallergenic (a poodle) & If this was the case why did they provide them before for a fee & why weren t we told this over the phone BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER making & paying for the reservation? I asked him if this was coming via Manager Ellen as that was shocking & unknown to us! He said, yes he was calling her and she was giving him feedback to give to us! The guy kept saying it s on the website blah blah blah! We explained that this was not the case because having stayed here before we knew that linens & towels were in fact provided but for an extra fee (which we paid). Also, we don t use the website. We call every single time to make our Reservations! Anyways I asked him (Gary) to refer us to Ellen again thinking probably just a simple misunderstanding. He refused. Long story short after 4-5 phone calls to the after hours line begging for at least A TOWEL so we could take a shower, the guy said when Ellen gets back on property she ll bring you towels around 7:30 pm. I said okay & thanked him for his time! Finally towels and Linens arrived via Ellen plus a free mini lecture again about how Towels & Linens are NEVER provided! No apology, NOTHING! Geez whatever happened to apologizing, being customer oriented & just making it right instead of denying your wrong doing & with attitude? Was all of this necessary? We could have stayed anywhere but wanted to patronize our (now former) favorite RV Campground. Resort is a stretch! At resorts one is usually treated much nicer, has working nice amenities & with at least a little more class than this mess! They are definitely not appreciative of business let alone repeat business. How disappointing! Not sure if we will recommend this place again or ever return after this!

Beyond frustrated with this "resort"! We chose it because we thought it would be a nicer one - out of the way and quiet. No such luck! We showed up to a considerable amount of RVs with dog pens outside - most look to be long term residents. Long term residents typically pay around $30 per night or less while daily guests are being charged as much as $70 per night....I say this because one would think that the RV Park would have enough consideration for their daily guests to let them know if they were going to be doing hours of loud dusty construction next to their high priced resort spot? Nope.We called the office to give them a chance to make it right and the woman said "I don't know anything about any construction." She then says "they don't normally come out on Saturdays." It's not Saturday. Much of the call went to helping her understand that today is not Saturday. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience, offer to look into it or make anything right - she just left us to pay for a roadside construction attraction. As I write this, we've got clouds of dust blowing toward our RV with two tractors rolling around. At the price I am paying to be here for a very short time, a review was in order. Had I known that road construction noise was one of their major attractions, I would have opted out!

An AMAZING place. We stayed here in Oct of 2022 and loved it. So. We decided to park our camper here full time. We live about an hour away. The staff is great. Ellen is fantastic. They have great cable, okay internet, full service sites, fun activities, inexpensive meals, nice campsites, and newly "paved" roads. The fitness center is wonderful, the pool tables, mini golf, pickle board, playground and basketball court provide many things to do.The pool and hot tub are well maintained and amazing. It is quiet with many friendly long-term residents. It also had 2 dog parks, many dog pickup stations with bags. The restrooms and showers are great and spotless; they really are. They also have a laundry facility.I'd you can't tell we love this place. If I had to ask for a couple of thing. it wouId be to expand the types of things they sell at their store and provide a list of places that delivery food. This place is simply FANTASTIC. Do yourself a big favor and come stay here.

We spent a month at this RV park and loved it! Most the sites are a decent size, we were luck and got a shaded space with trees. We enjoyed all the staff and they have great amenities! We used the pool, the workout room and the pickle ball courts!

We stayed at Verde River in a Class A Motorhome with a towed Jeep. We were there for 2 weeks around Memorial Day weekend and had such a great time! It was really nice to have a wonderful BBQ the night we arrived so I didn t have to cook and the burger and hot dogs were delicious! We found out that they typically have BBQ s on Friday and at some other times as well as great breakfast on Sundays if you sign up! Not having to cook, just walk over to the clubhouse!!! Count us in!!!All of the trees and grass make this a wonderful oasis in the desert - the staff are seen continuously grooming the grounds and keeping the property meticulous! There are so many thoughtful amenities here and I was surprised at the large Meeting areas that would make a fantastic place for large RV Groups to have a Rally!!!We were so happy they have a really nice fitness center - we were there almost daily. All the amenities plus restroom/showers were squeaky clean!I saw a few blasts at the staff on here and I have to say that all of our experiences with the staff were very positive and helpful. Understandable that over a packed holiday weekend that there may be a few altercations to deal with but we had a group next toUs that totally did not understand RVing etiquette and were parading through our site a lot, even put up a volleyball net right next to our RV which was not at all on their site . We just politely took care of it by chatting with them but these days with all the newer RVers out there can be a challenge I m sure.Anyway, we highly recommend this beautiful Resort to anyone looking for a wonderful place with shade, great amenities, cheerful staff, BIG sites and relaxing atmosphere! One of the best places we have stayed in our 10 years of RVing!Nearby activities: Lots of beautiful scenery, close to Sedona and lots of fun things to do + great restaurants!

Stayed here for three nights the week after Thanksgiving. This place is well managed and cared for. Staff were very pleasant. Making a reservation and then checking in was efficient and went very smoothly. Bathrooms were clean. Our RV site was flat and hookups were conveniently placed. It appeared most other spots were the same. There were scheduled events happening on some days and they were listedin various places. There was plenty of space to walk around with our dog. This was a great place to be in terms of getting over to the Sedona/Oak Creek area for some hiking as well as taking in other sites, such as Montezuma Castle Natl. Monument.Due to the time of the year, the pool and hot tube were shut down, which is about the only reason I didn't give this place five stars. We'll hope to stay here again in the future.

We were there for 8 nights, it Was quiet And the staff was cheering and helpful. However, we were in a site that was very harmful to everyone. Railroad ties with plastic stripping was nailed to designate parking boundaries. Both my wife and I tripped over these several times. This was apparent in other sites as well. They were mowing, as far as I could tell, not grass but dirt and weeds. The dust was terrible and everyone in the mower s path was left with dust inside and outside their trailer.Unacceptable. I ll never return.

This is the best rv resort we have found in Northern Az 100% hands down! We recently purchased our 1st motorhome 3 months ago and have been trying them all out. We both agree this is our favorite! The location is gorgeous, staff is amazing and super friendly, shaded spots, huge pool, you are right next to the river to fish, two pool tables, golf, pickleball, full work out room, super clean bathrooms and a spa. We love there bbq socials on Friday and Saturdays at the clubhouse. Super fun and we have met some Amazing new friends. I highly recommend for your next week or weekend getaway. Thank you Verde River Rv Resort and Cottages. We will definitely be seeing you soon Brittany
