So I received a free room at the lodge. And even though it was free the condition of the room, the cleanliness was one star At best, the front desk that checked me in was awesome and of course, spending time in the casino was good. Johnny Rockets, the restaurant inside the casino was horribly dirty. But I had children with me that we're hungry. So we had no choice but to eat there. Things definitely can be improved. But again, it was free so I feel kind of bad complaining but even if I did pay Those would have been the conditions so for a paying customer versus a free customer. The room should definitely still be cleaner And they could definitely use an upgrade. It's a very, very old hotel. We did have shuttle service from the hotel to the main casino. And the bus drivers were very nice and prompt so it was good and bad. Wasn't bad enough for me not to stay again.

Anytime we need time away from the kids this is the place to be! From the beautifully appointed lobby to the ultra friendly staff and several great restaurants within to choose from. The rooms are large and have really comfortable beds. The valet staff are always helpful with a warm friendly greeting. Rick and Glenn have enhanced our stay many times with their great smiles and sincere connection. I recommend Storytellers for a delicious fine dining experience (make reservations.) Thank You Cliff Castle Casino! We ll be back!

I ve stayed at the lodge a couple of times and I do like the new flooring it s awesome, but what I don t understand is why you haven t updated anything else in the rooms? TVs don t work half of the time, the phones barely work and your beds are not in there best shape, barely can sleep comfortably. If you re going to re do the floorings might as well re do the whole room in general? Oh and if you could please update your photos because the rooms don t look what they look like online thank you.

This is our favorite Casino. Lodge rooms were OK and will try hotel next time. Food is good at but haven't tried buffet yet. Lots of parking. Good place for music and shows. Something for everyone with kids games, arcade and bowling. Haven't bowled yet to see how well they treat the lanes. It's our weekly motorcycle ride destination.

Book a room on line for two nights. We checked in went over to the lodge. When we walked into the room, it was dirty. The smell was horrible I couldn't even breath. I went back to the main hotel to get an upgrade to the new hotel, the girl told me they didn't have a vacancy. She said they wouldn't charge us and that she was sorry. I saw that the hotel charged my credit card for the stay I immediately called the hotel. They informed me I was a no show. I said I did check in. The lied to me and they won't give me my money back. They are a bunch of crooks

I only spent the day there and did not get a room. So my comments are only about the casino. It was mostly clean but there was room to improve. It had a smoking section that I went into just to look around. I HATE SMOKING. They do have automatic glass doors to separate non and smoking areas. That's good but not as good as NO SMOKING AT ALL. The workers were very nice and friendly especially the lady driving the outside pickup cart. The machines were tight but where are they not. I did not eat or even look at the menus so can't say anything about that. There was a decent selection of machines but not the type I prefer to play. It's a good enough of a casino that I will go again but not good enough to get a lot of my money. It's the type of place to break up a long drive but not good enough to warrant a days trip for a casino adventure.

Very nice casino hotel and gift shop.. Delicious lunch dinner buffet aswell as breakfast buffet.. rooms are very nice & comfy bed firm mattress. Provided wifi buffers a bit. Enclosed smoking section inside casino floor. Valet parking very nice & wonderful friendly staff. The lobby is gorgeous and pool and spa appears very inviting.. nice size fitness room, including two terminals and copy machine business room. Also sizeable banquet room provided accompanied by an aromatic coffee shop. Thank you.

Room was clean and beds were comfy. Staff at the front desk were friendly. Showers are spacious. Hotel was quiet. Most of the casino is non-smoking and has a dedicated enclosed section for smoking which I really liked because casinos in California I ve visited are the other way around. The steak house was good and staff were super friendly.Nearby activities: Montezuma castle is 5min away from casino. You drive right past the casino on your way there.

Stayed in a leg to a longer trip. Rooms were clean and comfy and the staff was amazing! They have a pool, hot tub and fitness center for use here which was cool. The only reason I did not leave 5stars was because the buffet was really not good and they did not have vegetarian options. If we are in the area again and need a hotel, I would come back.Nearby activities: Sedona

I passed this place all the time and only stopped at Sonic. You would never think their was a small town just west of there with lots of shopping and dining experience. It's such a beautiful place. The lodges down from the casino are private and quiet, and I loved it. Definitely want to go back when I want to get away only and 1.5 away from Phoenix

Nice place to stay, every staff member I've met has been very accommodating and friendly. I loved that my room had 2 tvs, I was sharing a room. I expected a very long wait for the elevator since it was busy and I was on the top floor, but no problem whatsoever. I will be backRooms: Room was very spacious, I slept on the pull out sofa and that was comfortable for the night and the front desk was awesome with delivering sheets, blankets and pillows quicklyNoteworthy details: 2 tvs in my room so everyone can watch what they want, fridge in room and microwave down the hall for everyone to use

I strongly don't recommend their buffet. Went there around 5 -5:30 pm. Their special was prime rib. We payed and went up to the buffet and the only item that looked fresh was the prime rib. All of the hot dishes on the buffet looked dried and old. We went back to the cashier to get a refund and waited for the manager. The manager apologized but said usually she checks everything but she hadn't tonight. I was surprised at her excuse and the fact it was another associate that had to do the refund for us.

Went for Sunday Brunch. It was the best. Except the breakfast waffle sticks were hard. But no complaints about anything else!

This resort is such a rip off. Got a room went up and down bunch of times to smoke, which was fine-no smoking in room. So I froze and got wet( it was drizzly) and when I went to smoking casino room lost alot of $ but OK I smoke. But then I got home and found out they charged my credit card another 150 because housekeeping said they smelled smoke in room, no kidding. Called resort got transferred to supervisor voice-mail couldn't leave message because it was full. It's not the $ but the principle behind this post. They won't miss our $ but I will be letting everyone know. We will not be back.Noteworthy details: Bucks resort nicer and it's only half hour away

Out of all of the employees there Echo at the Diner (Johnny Rockets I believe) was the nicest and most pleasant person there. The hotel desk was also nice. The bartenders had more attitude than value at their jobs. The older male bartender was chatting up a younger female patron and would look at customers who walked up to the bar but would keep talking for 5 mins plus (which is way too long to be noticed but still ignored standing and waiting for a drink at an empty bar, I timed him and one waited 5:26 minutes) before getting drinks. I asked for a cup of ice (3 times, 2 of the glasses had red lipstick on them I still don't know how the female bartender missed both of those) because the bottle beers were warm since the bar back would not rotate the bottles (new ones in the back and older ones up front) so they never got cold enough. One waitress passing out sodas and water for the whole casino was a pain but there was a soda machine on the other side of the casino so get ready to walk to get your own drinks. Machines are super tight but we just went to enjoy an out of town get away so it didn't bother us but I wouldn't go there if you are a gambler. Their hourly give aways are a joke really for a casino. Over all I would give them another shot but I am not going to be expecting much at all. Hopefully they retrain all bartenders.. There was a heavier set male bartender that at least tried and had jokes so he was decent. By that time we just drank water as it was annoying trying to get a drink. Almost forgot the blonde bartender was also nice. Just the older skinner male and the dark haired woman bartender were worthless really.Rooms: Casino rooms are really nice..Food & drinks: Diner food is really good.. Bar drinks need work due to the two older bartendersNoteworthy details: Machines are too tight and bonuses are really worthless there..

Came here during a rainy day in Sedona. Small but really nice casino. Not a ton of table games but just enough. Bowling alley was really nice. Loved that the casino is smoke free.

I stayed at this place several times. January 30th we went to sedona for hiking, we stayed here, always booked the junior suite, but I was disappointed.Jacuzzi wasn't working, waterwas too cold. Coffee maker wasn't working. I was aboutto take shower from getting disappointed about Jacuzzi by the pool being cold. Thewater upstairs in the shower was cold too! never get hotter either. It was just alittle bit of kinda lukewarm. It was cold outside and needed to relax after spending a long day outdoor, no good food at night for dinner as the storyteller always closed on Monday. Food for breakfast at the buffet not to crazy about it. Played at the casino of course never win, drinks was good. I will stay and check this place for another time.Rooms: Specious and clean roomNearby activities: Montezuma castle and Montezuma well

I went here on vacation. And I loved how they had a kid's quest here. Because I brought my six year old with me. I only visited this casino for a few hours. And I won a jackpot while I was there. It's not a very big casino, but it's a casino. And I went to the buffet while i was here and it was delicious! The only thing I didn't like was the location of the casino. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere. And to drive quite a ways to get to it. But it was worth it when we got there because I won the jackpot.

I HATE this hotel. We bought the two queen bed room,. When we got there there was no bed,. Just blankets all over the floor. Even in the bathroom! So we changed the room and there was only one bed! They rolled in a tiny bed. Then suddenly we realized there was a WiFi but no pass code. I am never staying here again. The high prices are just not worth it. I hope you take my advice and don't come to this hotel. Thanks for reading

UPDATE: Messaged with the Social Media team a week ago and still haven t heard from the casino executive as promised. 0/10 customer service.I would never stay here again. We were told at noon when the childcare opens to come back at 3 for our younger child to go in, then at 3 we were told they have a leak in the room and can t take her. Of course, at 3 it was too late to check out early, but we are unable to enjoy anything the property offers because it s all for adults only, which is why they offer child care. This would ve been annoying, but the customer care took it from annoying to a place I will never stay again and will recommend strongly against for families as they informed us the child care is completely separate from the hotel and they have no idea what goes on over there and don t guarantee childcare. Their website doesn t clarify this at all and had I known these were separate entities (which they don t seem to be in person either) and that childcare is not always open for the ages and hours the have posted online and in person, I would ve stayed at a different location, which is what we will do in the future.

I walked in the room and instantly started wheezing like it was a pet friendly room. I thought the hotel wasn't pet friendly but I also heard other hotels give people with pets the room closest to the elevator and we are the room closest to the elevator. I'm not sure if that's true or not. Regardless, the room smelled a little funky. I dropped an item and went to pick it up and started to notice some questionable areas that made me think maybe our room hadn't been cleaned properly or hadn't been occupied for awhile or maybe the air filter needed to be cleaned. I honestly really like the hotel, I'm thinking maybe I just got a bad room this one time. Hopefully it's better whenever I stay again. Late check in made me too lazy to complain or try to change rooms (but I wasn't too lazy to take pictures and a video .. smh).

Not good. Made reservations on line. Free night at the lodge. Asked for a room with 2 queen beds. Asked for 2 nights on the first floor because a walker was used. The room given had 1 bed. Tried to call the hotel and waited for 45 minutes with no answer. Went back to the hotel to a room with 2 beds. By this time no room on the first floor. Had to carry the Walker up and I had to get to the room with no help. The heater in the room was very loud. Had little sleep for 2 nights. Good by Cliff Castle.
