We decided to attend comedy night at Everrets and had an amazing dinner with calamari and epic burgers, topped off with Creme Brule cheesecake! The drinks were excellent. We then decided a stay cation was in order and stayed in one of their amazing rooms. The king size bed and balcony were super amenities and the mini kitchenette was cute. The rustic theme was beautiful! We will definitely have an adult weekend here again!!!Noteworthy details: Beautiful lake front property with excellent accommodations.

We visited the restaurant at Everett's and sat out on the deck since the weather was lovely. They sat our large group pretty quickly, and allowed our pups to sit out with us too. The waiter was great and got everything correct, even down to the check splitting. The food was really yummy too - the burgers looked amazing and the gouda fries were delicious. Our caesar salad was perfect for the hot day. The prices were a little spendy but comparable for the food quality. I'd definitely visit again.

We rented out the Cork Room and dock area to host our wedding ceremony and family dinner this summer. It's a beautiful venue with the lake and mountains. The coordination leading up was almost non existent after reserving the room. It was hard to get ahold of event staff, and when we did, they were disorganized. When we arrived for the event, they offered to bring down lovely flowers to decorate the tables and the food tasted good, but was not what we had discussed. Our menu was supposed to be cilantro and lime rice, blackened halibut and carnitas tacos, peppers and onions, and Mexican corn. We were served Mexican rice, black beans, peppers and onions, halibut, and chicken, with no discount, acknowledgement, or apology. Overall, we would not book an event here again.

Room was very quaint, nicely appointed - had fridge, microwave, coffee maker and little kitchen area. Very quiet in March - hardly anyone there! Nice view of the lake although it was frozen, I'm sure it's gorgeous in the summer when you can kayak and paddleboard. Restaurant was right next door but was closed for 2 of the days I stayed so can't testify to their services. Can drive to stores and restaurants quickly. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Went there with two longtime residents of Wasilla Lake Friday, 09 SEP 2022 for dinner. I had the seafood fettuccine. One friend had the fresh fish manager's special that was blackened Halibut and the other had the standard Halibut dish on the menu. We also had salads, a couple appetizers, and of course some drinks. We all sampled each other's food and it was all really good! ";-)Portion sizes were more than adequate, we took a good amount of food home with us.Service and views were also great! :;-)

Great food, relaxing atmosphere, and fantastic service. My friend wanted to sit outside but our other friend didn t bring a jacket. Our waitress had someone bring out a blanket for our friend who clearly isn t prepared for Alaska weather.

We ate at Everetts. It was the first day of opening the patio. It did not disappoint. We love the views and atmosphere.Food & drinks: We didnt stay at hotel. Only ate at the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. The meal was tasty, though some things aren't necessarily what you are expecting. Example: The honey mustard salad dressing was heavy on the mustard side. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. It was a very nice evening and I would certainly recommend them.

The people here are absolutely fantastic. They are warm friendly and helpful. I will share the reason that I only gave 3 stars for my visit. First of all, they were unprepared for my arrival and after traveling 14 hours I just wanted to get into my Room. When I arrived, There was a sign on the office door to go to the restaurant for checking in. The lights were off in the restaurant. I went back to the office and a very sweet lady helped me and said they should not have placed that sign on the door. I had to wait about 30 minutes because they had to start their computer and then go to the restaurant to make me a Room key.Second, This was my 1st trip to Alaska and I am unsure by their definition of what a resort is. There is a restaurant on site that is open most evenings. The Room was very standard. It was nicely cleaned and maintained but at the end of the day was only very standard. The people were super friendly it was just a very average experience in terms of amenities and furnishings.

Service was very good, nice atmosphere and view. Sadly the chef that night was way too generous with salting and seasoning, and I like salt - but way too much.I ordered fish an chips, so much extra herbs and seasoning I couldn't taste the fish, or the chips.

Service in the bar area is not good, several evenings spent there and it was disappointing. Drinks are over priced for the quality. Was served a $15 drink in a small plastic solo cup, the tiny ones, that was less than 1/3 full! Long wait times and I was done. A manager of sorts walking around asked how we were doing, I voiced our issues and nothing really changed, nor did he offer to give us a discount from or near $400 bill.Food is good, but most is over priced, Tomahawk Ribeye $90, ehh, I'll pass. All food I've had was good though, and I did receive good service on the restaurant side. For the prices the experience should be better and the service should be better no matter the price.

The lunch buffet could use fresher ingredients. Their chowder was delicious. I'll go back for that. It was a bit chilly to sit out on the deck. The wait staff were very gracious & and accommodating with moving customers indoors. Others did not have jackets as well.

The resort is incredibly clean, and the staff is very friendly. The food is quite tasty. The rooms are clean, but are a bit on the warm side. Hopefully, they'll work some of the kinks out. Yes, I would stay here again. Yes, I would recommend it to folks looking to relax.

I am a recruiter for Durham School Services and we held our hiring event there for a week & I have to say what a beautiful location Mat-Su Resort is! Carrieann (events manager) and her staff were exceptional! They were very attentive & had everything we needed plus more! The hotel rooms were immaculate, the facility had everything we need to make our event a success, & the food was amazing! I have worked with quite a few events managers over the 27 yrs as a recruiter and I have to say she is the best! What a perfect setting for any special gathering! I highly recommend it!

Not that nice for the price. The door wouldn't lock. No working smoke detector. Dirty bathroom walls. Otherwise, quiet ok bed with a nice view.Rooms: Not too many rooms are available.

The view is pretty but the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. The website says that the Jr Suite has 1 Queen Bed + Single Bed and occupancy is for 3, but there's actually 1 queen bed and a pull out cot, definitely does not work for 3 adults. We went to the front desk to ask and the women said they don't have any rooms with 2 beds and there was nothing she could do. There's a resort fee but no resort amenities. We tried multiple times to go to or call the front desk but there was no one there. They also claim it's no smoking but the patio had cigarette butts on it. Would definitely not stay here again.

Wait staff is amazing.. The views are awesome. There is outside setting on the Wasilla Lake. Dinner reservations are recommended, but lunch time drop ins are always welcome. Don't be afraid to ask for something if not seen in the menu.. Absolutely Love This Place... We come here at least 3-4 times a month.... New Years Eve and fourth of July here were incredible... You'll enjoy your visit.

The service was friendly but was definitely being over sat. The steamer clams and creme brulee were delicious but the spinach artichoke dip was meh. Over all an enjoyable experience with slightly higher than expected price.

It's a gorgeous place and the rooms are really nice. The kitchenette has no dishes or utensils, so I'm not sure why they even bother having a kitchenette.I also couldn't find a way to set the temperature in the room. There was a fan to use so I opened the door and turned on the fan. It seemed kind of out-of-place for such a nice inn. There was a terrible mixup with my reservation but the staff went out of their way to make it right. I really appreciated it after a very long day of travel.Certainly it's worth the money! Go. You won't be sorry.

It happened to be a sunny evening and my wife and I met for a drink and light snack. There was a band playing that was good entertainment. We sat out on the deck and the service was almost "non existence " at first. I had to go into the bar to order and get our drinks. We only ordered a salad and pepper fries. The dip for the fries was good, the fries arrived cold and oily. The summer salad was soggy and all wilted like it had been sitting by a stove or something??? I gave 4 stars only because the people sitting across from us had asked about the food and we told them what we thought and she took the fries back in and must have complained to someone and brought us two complimentary drinks. Otherwise it probably would only be 3 stars.

When we checked in, we were given no information about the restaurant hours or upcoming events. The restaurant food was okay. The chocolate bomb was disgusting and we couldn t eat it. Rooms were clean but coffee and body wash was not replenished and we couldn t get a hold of anyone at the desk and mailbox was full. When we went to check out, nobody was at the front desk and all the doors were locked. Tried to call but could never reach anyone? Seems strange for a resort that charges a resort fee to not be able to get a hold of anybody. There was an after hours number but didn t want to call it just to ask for coffee....it was winter so not sure if that s why?

I really enjoyed my stay... the room was great, very comfortable and the bed was awesome! I think my room was just renovated so everything still smelled like new! There is not much around to eat so be sure to stop a a grocery store and stock up on some bottles of water and snacks. Of course, you can even buy stuff to cook a little meal! If I return to the area, I will stay here again!

Had dinner last night with my wife, sister, brother in law and parents for Mother's Day. It was packed and dinner was great. The service was good and the re model turned out great. My parents even stayed the night out there so they didn't have to drive back to Anchorage,

The room is nice but the blinds wouldn't close. When we asked to have maintenance take a look i could see the look of bewilderment on the clerks face. She said maintenance would be notified. After we finished dinner we asked if the issue had been fixed and they had no idea of it had. I'm guessing that the maintenance crew was off shift and only available for emergencies. We ended up fixing it ourselves. When we were being seated for dinner the staff seemed more interested in gabbing with their friends and seemed confused about who was manning which section of the restaurant. The food was okay but LeeAnn didnt like her seafood pasta and my medium rare steak was medium. For 150 bucks you expect to get what you asked for. Won't be coming back to this place in the future and wouldn't recommend it to any one.
