We stayed at The White House for 2 nights in May 2023.The hotel is cozy, right far enough from the cruise ship crowds, but still close enough to the Broadway for walking.Rooms are well taken care of, host is always one phone call away (in the backroom). Noise insulation from the second floor is actually not too bad for a historic building, we expected worse.Beds are terrific, though the bathroom is a bit small for a room advertised for more than 2 guests (but fully functional).You can get coffee / tea / towels / etc from the back of reception at any time of a day on your own (which was very convenient for us, staying just a few steps away).I am very happy we decided to stay here instead of the much large hotel next to docks - the experience was much warmer than anything we can get at a bigger hotel.

Someone has taken care of the details. Pretty impressively. Current information in a tidy binder. Nice! Sparkling clean and freshly supplied bedroom and bathroom. Great to have a ceiling fan. Cotton sheets are my favorite. Ample pillows allowed for a choice of firm or medium. Bed was lovely to sleep in! Decor is solid, comfy and clean. Everything is well maintained. At The White House Inn is checking all the boxes!

I just had the best hotel experience of my entire life. (If you consider the White House a hotel) For me, it has now become my favorite place to stay in the entire world. I travel for my job throughout Alaska, and I promise that you will never be more accepted at a place than at the White House. Chelsea and Dustin are incredible hosts. Traveling during my birthday away from family was hard but I got to back to the hotel after work and Chelsea had been in correspondence with my family and surprised me by decorating my room door. These two people care about others and I hope to have an impact on my community like they do on theirs.

On our Yukon/Alaska vacation we spent 3 nights at the conveniently located hotel, At The White House. Dustin and Chelsey were great hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. This well-kept hotel was quiet, clean, and well-appointed with a private bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and linens were clean and cozy. For a 1902 vintage building it felt modern and spacious while keeping its historic charm.

Great Hotel with really good service. Chelsea was awesome! She gave us updates on the road conditions and gave us suggestions for things to do with our kids in Skagway. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable as well.I would recommend At the White House to anyone!

Truly wonderful place to stay in Skagway. Quaint rooms, very, VERY clean, and friendly, helpful staff. We stayed here for part of our 20th wedding anniversary trip, which I mentioned in the booking. They put champagne glasses in our room and a little Congratulations banner! I pretty much love this place. Affordable, quiet, two blocks from the main shopping street, walkable from the airport. Just perfect.

The perfect place to stay if you are visiting Skagway. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is wonderful and the location is perfect for all your Alaskan adventures in this magical little town. I highly recommend At The White House. Our Alaskan getaway would not have been the same if we stayed somewhere else!!!

This is the best Bed and Breakfast I've stayed at ever. The rooms are well set up and spacious, not a lot of extra stuff tripping you up. And the baked goods in the morning are amazing! I will stay here whenever I'm back in town again. It is a wonderful place, with really helpful and accomodating staff.

Friendly staff. Average breakfast for a B and B. Bedroom was nice and roomy, but the bed was most uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that the longest my husband and I could even remain laying down was about 5 hours. Update- the owner of "At the White House" contacted us and apologized offered a partial refund, which we declined but they sent it anyway. Would modifiy my rating to a 4.5 star due to great costumer service.

Clean, quiet, friendly with comfortable room and bed. Interesting history of the house. It's nice to stay with locals in a town bought out by the cruise ships. Continental breakfast was adequate - could be a little more creative with homemade bread and better coffee.

My parents are staying here while visiting me in Skagway. The accommodation is adorable and comfy. I stopped by while they were having breakfast and was given a warm welcome by the staff. The historical background of the building is very interesting and adds to the atmosphere.

As part of a family reunion most of my family stayed here and the management/owners made one nice gesture after another to make us all feel welcome. Through the trading of family lore it turned out that my mother and her sister worked here as seasonal help when they were growing up in Skagway. I can close my eyes and still see the view ofThe White House from the old family home across the street. I will be back.

I visit Skagway monthly on business and decided to stay here. A good decision! Very nice establishment. Quiet and clean. The staff is very friendly. The view from my room was amazing!
