The people who work here make all the difference. Tammy is always so courteous and professional at the check-in counter. TSA is efficient. The staff works hard to keep the waiting area clean. If there is a weather delay, they do an excellent job of keeping everyone informed. It's not the perfect set-up, it's cramped, and way too small, but the people make it work. Tip: Use the bathroom before going through security, there is limited availability on the other side.

Small airport but does have tsa if your flying AirAlaska, Ravn does not go thru security here so you have to get your bags and do it in Anchorage if your connecting to the lower 48, the AirAlaska jet requires you to be there around an hour early, you can cut it closer if your on Ravn, there are snack machines but do not expect a restaurant, car rentals are available and taxi service down down costs around 25$, there is free parking just outside the terminal

Talk about an easy and small airport to get through! One gate, you exit the plane down the stairs, then into the one baggage claim. No food service, only 2 on-site rental car services; town and services are a few mile away. Great to miss the daily hustle and bustle of large airports.

Horribly planned airport layout, try checking in during peak fishing or hunting season and you will see a line out the door and mass confusion inside. They also closed the only redeeming quality which was the restaurant bar adjacent to the terminal. So now your limited to vending machine food.

Super small, they are efficient and the rental desks are in the main lobby. Not a bad airport, great views.

Other than the fistfights, slow service and blood it seemed like a normal airport. They don't have carts so if you have a lot of gear you will be a pack mule. The TSA team here was outstanding!

The best part about this airport is the employees. They are professional and handle difficult situations and sometimes the people with the most curtious and patient attention. This is a small airport with the worst layout EVER!! I honestly dont know why this particular redesign was ever accepted. Incoming passengers must cross through out going passenger waiting in line to check in for their flight to retrieve their luggage. The baggage claim area is small and easily overcrowded when the Alaska Airline jet arrives full of incoming passengers.Kodiak is a beautiful place to visit, unfortunately this airport layout is the 1st experience for many 1st time visitors. If it werent for the exceptional customer service this airport were classify as a 2 thumbs down.The entity responsible for this debacle needs to fix this problem pronto.Otherwise, Visitors, WELCOME TO BEAUTIFUL KODIAK ALASKA

Very small airport which is kind of expected. It can get kind of cramped inside while waiting for flights but you usually don't have to wait too long. Not much to do or see here. I think they have a vending machine for food and drink and that's it so come prepared. Definitely not a bad place, just small.

The second you get off the plane you're greeted by a fantastic view. Otherwise it would get two stars thanks to the cramped layout. TSA is positioned in the most awkward spot, and we actually had to wait outside security because the room after was "too full." The queue that formed was right in the way of the vending machines, bathrooms, and the people exiting the plane. Baggage area is also right in front of the car rental, making the line that forms there a bit of a pain as well. Not a pleasant experience.

With automatic hand dryers, toilets and sinks, the vending machines only take dollars and coins.no credit cards, Apple pay.

With 737s flying in, the airport building is way too small. The baggage carousel is tiny and it is a madhouse to get to your bag once you see it. No restaurant in or near the airport which is strange. Two small car rental options and they will not answer the phone unless there are passengers in the terminal (3 or so times a day)

Small airport in a small town, yet people still manage to show up last minute. The TSA and airline staff are incredibly patient. Bring snacks if you want to eat, there is no vending machine once you go through security. Show up early if you'd like a place to sit while you wait for boarding.

The baggage handling system is atrocious. Pedestrian traffic patterns for arrivals and departures are in direct conflict with each other. Baggage carousel is small and difficult to access. The arrival door is at the opposite side of the terminal from baggage claim. All of this at an airport that handles ONE jet at a time. My last flight back to Kodiak on 12/2/21 required more than an hour wait time to retrieve our bags. All of this is a terrible first impression for visitors. PLEASE fix this!

It's a small airport fit for an island, with a surprising amount of traffic coming through for an island with a population of around 7,000. There's a traffic jam with so many people, but it provides good service when you stay long enough. At least it's not a bush plane onto a lake...now that is a freaky landing.

This airport is extra special and has their own special policy that states that you have to be checked in and have your bags behind the counter 40min before your flight leaves. If you book a flight at 8:15am here, you need to show up to the airport at 6am when they open. Otherwise if you show up at 6:30am the line will be too long and you will not be able to check any bags thus forcing you to get another flight and do a $160 change fee. The funny thing is, this whole problem could be solved if they had one extra person working the ticket counter. It's basically a viscous circle.

Its a super small airport, the plane is always full, and don't expect to social distance because the car rental place is inside and right across the baggage claim so everyone is elbow to elbow..same thing at the Gate,not much seating for everyone. Staff was nice when I went.

Good people work there. Baggage claim needs some serious help. Prepare to weave through the bottle neck to get your luggage for at least for the month of August.

Small efficient airport.Everyone's friendly and helpfulAlaska Airlines got all my gear with me in good shape on time.Hunting and fishing with grandkids couple of weeks!

Place is very small. TSA guy was grumpy. Flight was delayed by an hour or so...but overall it was OK.There were a few people that were really kind.

Horrible design plan. Exceeds Fire Safety Capacity! The worst airport AlaskaAirlines flies into.. non functional airport!I've been to all of them.5 Stars for the ground crew having to deal with this airport.

Small, quick, no wifi. Mask rule not enforced .but plenty of signs which should just be taken down. Spotty cell signal unless you have a local carrier.

I have been doing a lot of traveling this year for work and so far the Kodiak Alaska Airlines and Kodiak TSA staff have been the nicest as well as the most efficient ones I have encountered.

It is a small airport. There isn't much seating and aside from a coffee shop across the parking lot there is no place to eat or have a cocktail while waiting for a flight any more.

Here at Kodiak Alaska airport they are very help and all in all very nice people i was sort of just dropped off with nothing by a logging company that let me go because i had a medical problem i had been on afognak island were seal logging in my opinion is doing nothing but make a environmentally disaster with all the oil that they allow every peace of equipment they have leaks out i was there for a little over two months where i was banding logs that get put in the ocean while i was there the loader in the sort yard was leaking 10 gallon of hydraulic fluid on to the ground i was told by someone there that it had been leaking at least that much for the passed 1.5 to 2 years now if you do the math on every month that is right at 300 gallons a month that is 3600 gallons a year and that is 100 yards from the water and how many years that one peace of equipment has leaked and the guy in charge doesn't really care he doesn't have anyone fix anything until it quit and they seal logging is making millions of dollar every year but at what cost to the environment

I don't have any photos, but the people who work here are always kind. They deal with either an insane amount of workload, or almost nothing, but due to the size of the airport, these people do an amazing job with what they have.

Somehow the remodel made a poorly designed airport even worse. You can't get in or out without running into people coming in or out. At least the parking is still free.

Luggage took a while to get. They also need a bigger building to accommodate the traffic and travelers.
