A no frills experience as far as a waiting room goes, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The work took a little longer than expected, but the busy season is rapidly approaching here in Ketchikan so it s understandable how busy they were. However, they did finish the work in one day so that was nice. This place was recommended to me by my coworkers and I m glad they did.

I had been going to All American since they first opened their doors. I had 100% confidence in their work and skills, the pricing was fair and they never made me feel dumb or talked down to me when I asked questions.Since the ownership changed though, things went downhill quickly. The last time I took my vehicle in was the LAST time I do business with them. I could get into all the details of the experience (the time before wasn't so great either) but the things that really ticked me off was their charges.I needed to get a windshield wiper motor replaced. They charged me $189 for the part. Retail price on the part from Napa was $160 plus a $30 credit when the core was returned. So, not only did they charge me MORE than retail on a part they pay LESS than retail on, they didn't credit me anything for the core. They kept that for themselves.I had them change out my headlights as well. When I went to pick up the van, the headlights wouldn't turn on. The new owner came running out and fiddled with it until they came back on but the driver's side light is browned/dimmed. He swore up and down that they were working beforehand.Finally, the labor charges....I was charged an hour for the lights to be swapped and an hour for them to fix the horn. The notes say that they connection was dirty so they cleaned it and now it works again. 2 hours of labor (at $127.50 per hour) for something that would have taken an hour at most.I have absolutely zero confidence in their skill or honorable business practices and will never take my vehicles to them again. It really sucks because now I have to find another shop. I really liked them before the new owner, bringing them treats and whatnot every time they worked on my vehicles over the last decade.Services: Electrical repair, Auto maintenance

My vehicle has been serviced here twice now. It was difficult to get ahold of them the second time but due to short staffing and ill staff it is completely understandable. I have had nothing but great work done on my vehicle here and wonderful customer service. Was an overall good experience. They worked hard to get my car in quickly due to a coolant leak. Repaired the issue as quick as possible and at an affordable price. All American Auto is extremely knowledgeable, great and efficient service and reasonably priced! I would definitely recommend them for any issues you may have with your vehicle! I usually do all my own work on my vehicles. But I was in Ketchikan away from home and I needed my truck inspected. I was very happy with the service that this business provided.

Not enough good things to say about Mark and his team at All American Auto! Customer service: Excellent. Quality: Excellent! Meticulous attention to detail: Excellent! Prices: Excellent! Honesty: Excellent! I absolutely love the detailed inspection with photos and descriptions that they perform every time and then go over it with you. Mark will be honest with you about what you need and what you don t need and what can wait for repair and what needs immediate addressing. This is not your typical auto shop! Mark takes his customers seriously and that s why they keep coming back! Highly recommend for all your auto service needs!

The best service in town. Highly professional, quality and quick. They are always busy, so make sure to make an appointment in advance. I really like that they could pick up a car and I don't have to wait at the shop. I'll never get tired of talking about how excellent the service and response time is at All American Auto because they never seem to get tired of going above and beyond for me and my family. Most recently, we needed an emergency repair on our vehicle and All American -in classic fashion- completed the job at the lowest possible cost and in an incredibly short time frame considering the significance of the work. I may have found a lucky spot in the schedule that day, but I always feel as though my family and our vehicle is a priority, and not only will the job get done, it's gets done right. Love those guys. They are also so available and patient with my questions, clarifications and always leave me feeling like I've learned a little more about my vehicle and how to best take care of it in the time between maintenance or repairs above my pay grade. Thanks again and I'll be seeing you again, if for no other reason than routine maintenance and some rock solid advice. Cheers! Best shop on the island!

I have a foreign car that over the years has been difficult to get worked on by mechanics in this town. I am a single women and don't know much about cars, but I am intelligent and want to know the details of my car maintenance needs. MY first experience with All American Auto was so positive that I wanted to share it with others. Mark and the folks there go the extra mile to evaluate the problems of the vehicle, communicate those issues to the customer though detailed photos and explanations (via Youtube) and outline a course of action, including a detailed estimate of costs. So far, the work they have done on my vehicle is excellent and that, coupled with the efficient work they do and the excellent communications, lead me to fully recommend this business for your vehicle maintenance needs.

Mark was very patient when I needed to decide exactly what I wanted to do with my truck. He has a very good handle on how to treat his customers. ( I used to own my own business for years on the Island years ago and know that customers appreciate good service. It is VERY important part in running a business.) He was good when letting me know what options I had.

Man ... it happens every time I bring my business to these guys ... THEY ABSOLUTELY ROCK IT! I love this place, and the good men working there are consistently attentive to the specific needs I have with my vehicle, patient, highly skilled, and always willing to go the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service -every time! Just the fact that they ensure my day continues as planned with an occasional lift to and from work, even though my truck is getting serviced, is something I've never experienced with another automotive service provider. Bottom line(s): automotive maintenance is a uniquely crazy industry to manage successfully between solving a myriad of mysterious car problems, acquiring innumerable parts, organizing tasks, the need to adapt to unforeseen situations, and of course the wide variety of personalities that come in for help (with a variety of temperaments and knowledge of what actually goes on under the hood). I will be an All American Auto customer for as long as they'll have me. Honestly, you'd be wise to do the same. Thanks again, gentlemen. You have my business, my appreciation, and my respect.

I have been going to All American Auto since they first opened. In the last 4 years, these gents have taken VERY good care of me and my family's vehicles. I LOVE their pickup and drop off service, very convenient.As a woman, it's hard to find a mechanic that doesn't treat you "like a woman" when it comes to car stuff. These guys are open, straightforward, and I never worry that they may tweak something that would cause me to come back. They fix what needs to be and provide me with a list of other repairs they see should be done in a prioritized list that makes it easy to plan and budget.They go above and beyond, too! One day, I was driving along and a rock got stuck, REALLY STUCK, in the tire between the plate and the brake. It made a god awful noise and nothing I did would get it to loosen and drop. I drove the car up to them and they took care of it for me - no charge! These gents took time out of their very busy day to help me with it, and then waved me off with a smile. Who does that anymore? THEY DO! I am a very loyal customer and will tell ~anyone~ who will listen about why they should go there.And no, I am not in any way related to anyone who works there. Zero affiliation other than I will be their customer until they close or I die.

Best Auto place in the area in our experience. We've taken several vehicles here for anything from oil changes to brakes. They are responsive, do seriously quality work and their rates are phenomenal. Very good communicators and respectful to boot! Highly recommended

Sincerely impressed with this place! I was able to get my car in and out quickly and had the pleasure of interacting with the very friendly staff. Jesse went above and beyond to explain what they were going to do and why - very impressed with the whole experience. Will be coming here from now on.

When I schedule an appointment, I know what needs to be done. Mark and his crew have never disappointed me. He's thorough in checking out everything and this last time I knew the brakes were making a funny noise, but I didn't mention it. Along with my oil change, they found what was wrong with the brakes, and let me know how critical the problem was and exactly how much it will cost to fix it... without pushing me to get it done right away. Now THAT's integrity!

Good honest business. I will keep bringing all my vehicles to these guys. They get you going and don't try to sell you repairs that you don't need, just keep monitoring your vehicles condition and informing you when the wear should be addressed. Always willing to go the extra mile with you, whether it's a ride to and from the shop or taking the extra time to diagnose the really hard to solve problems.

I have been a customer of All American Auto (AAAR) for several years. The workmanship provided by AAAR is exceptional; those at AAAR are knowledgeable and experienced. I have full confidence in the work done by AAAR.AAAR prices are reasonable; and those at AAAR go out of their way to provide courteous, customer-friendly service. In my book, AAAR has clearly earned a five-star rating. We in Ketchikan are fortunate to have AAAR available to provide the service we need.
