Ah yes when paying for a high 4 course price fix meal reviews can be subjective. It s a one and done outing with friends and family.I ll say this. Steak tartare is something I d never order for obvious reasons. But tried it and it was delish. I didn t get sick later too. Maybe the bourbon helped prevent that!Everything else was delicious. Service was great and very friendly.

Intriguing way to the restaurant through the tram, really welcoming atmosphere but way too bright inside for a dinner seating (also there s no music). $125 pp for a fixed menu plus drinks is extra charge. Of all menu items I liked beer salad, scallop bisque and profiteroles the best, although most meals seems to be okay-ish (not fantastic). Great service and wonderful wine list.

Really disappointed. The food was not worth at all. The appetizer are a really basic salad, and the steak tartare which is one of the good things of this place. First course was actually the best one, good flavors. The problem started on the entree, when we ordered the waiter offered us some king crabs legs, which we said ok thank you, he didn t mentioned anything about any price, since it s a premade menu and the 125 pp includes everything we didn t worry about it. Talking about the dishes the beef tenderloin came with some REALLY chewy and salty mushrooms, which I couldn t eat because they were disgusting, and the halibut wasn t even salted, the potatoes were literally some basic baked potatoes that you do in your house and the fish was sitting on top some thinly sliced zucchini which was inedible. The dessert was ok, but really the food was disappointing for the price and they also charged us 80$ for the crab legs. I don t recommend it at all. The view is nice but it s just not worth it.

This restaurant has really gone downhill! I took my 4 friends from out of town for a visit. We paid $772 total for our meal and was very dissapointed. The steak was awful! The food took too long to come out despite no one around except us and 1 other table. I don't mind paying for a good meal but most of the food was pretty terrible. The only decent thing was the lobster bisque and desserts. I would skip this place and go to Southside Bistro or Club Paris or any other fancy restaurant in Anchorage.

We went for a night cap so we didn't try any real food except dessert which was exceptional! The drinks were pretty good too. It is a little pricey but if you want to experience the beauty of being in the mountains and seeing them all around you it is definitely worth it for just the breathtaking view! We couldn't believe it when we got up there. The customer service was amazing too and you get to take the tram up which was an experience on it's own! Definitely would check it out if you are staying there.

This is an award winning restaurant and for good reason. It s a set dinner menu. Cost is $125 per person. The food is amazing and the view is too. The service is attentive and they don t rush your meal. Ours lasted almost two hours. We had wine and the cost with tax was $362. So expect $300 and tip. if you re doing wine or drinks with your meal. I have attached photos. We had the beef Tartar, green salad, sourdough bread (bread is an additional cost), crab bisque (comes with one scallop, but you can add more), beef tenderloin, raspberry pink tart, and goat cheesecake. Do try this place!

I expected more, incredibly disappointed! I planned a special dinner with my mother, and we traveled from NC. I put in a request for her vegan meal 2 months prior. She got noodles and sorbet, wasn't even garnished and to be perfectly honest was not good- Her sorbet didn't even have a garnish and her main dish was pho, seriously?? Come on, we paid over $200pp. There were 3 of us. I could've taken her to a Thai restaurant and gotten her a way better meal for a quarter of the price and they probably would've even garnished it.My food was disappointing too, please don't get the halibut, tasted absolutely awful, I couldn't even finish it. I had eaten here in the summer and it was 100x better, I don't know what happened but it was a total waste of our money! We were huge fans the 1st time and planned a bucket list trip for our loved ones to celebrate at your restaurant. This dinner was sadly the worst part of the trip. The view was amazing, the service was good, however even on that you seemed short staffed.

We are in town on vacation and we re very excited to eat at this restaurant. It is beautifully perched at the top of a mountain. It has a beautiful gondola ride to the top with breathtaking views my girlfriend and I arrived a half hour early and were told we could get a drink at the bar. Our reservation was for 830. We were there at 7:50 we start until 820 until they can put us at the bar. The bar was not very busy and head to Bartender s. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks, and we were originally given the wrong drinks. We were told our table is ready to follow our server. When we turned around they were gone, and the host had to find her to take us to our table it was a picturesque view and it was amazing, I m not sure if they were short staffed but our server took a while to get over and once they did we order some wine and started to order our preset meal. The food was overall pretty good. My salmon was over cooked. My girlfriends bison was cooked perfectly, but was drowning in a mushroom sauce it s not that big of a deal but at a type of restaurant like that and for the money we were spending, the waiter wasn t even sure which meals we ordered and gave me the bison knife when I ordered the salmon the salmon came medium well instead of medium rare, but had good flavor with the sauce the server assistance were great. Our waters were always full and our table was always clear. We made the best of it but I definitely would expect more from the restaurant charging $125 per person and we were super excited to go to a restaurant with this many accolades and we left. Very disappointing. The views were amazing , the food was OK. Bartending was terrible. Good luck to people who go there in the future.

Took the tram up the mountain to enjoy the scenery and have some lunch. The scenery was fantastic, food and drinks were great! We had to be clever for parking down the bottom but it wasn't too bad.The people were very friendly.

What a ride up to the top of the mountain! The meal included tram tickets which was nice. There is very little as fun as riding a tram to the top of a mountain for a nice dinner! The views were exceptional and experience is something very few places on earth can give you. The service was semi strong overall and menu had promise. Overall they fell short in execution of dishes and fell short of fine dine standards for service. Wasn t short on price though (thus the 4 stars). We enjoyed our dinner and time with friends on this one!

Seven Glaciers Restaurant was outstanding, superb and the best fine dining experience in the state. From start to finish, from tram ride to being entertained by our servier (Kelly - the best server out there), it was all amazing. The 4-course prix fix meal options were first-class elegant, plated beautifully, and cooked to perfection. The wine and cocktail list were creative and lots of different options.

I made this reservation about 2 months in advance for my wife s birthday.. it was definitely worth the wait ! Amazing views hands down! Amazing service- Chris was professional and extremely knowledgeable. The food was also great. It is a 4 course tasting menu for $105 pp. we also had some incredible cocktails and Wine by Hedges.1st dish - Scallop Bisque. A single seared sea scallop nestled on a crouton w caviar and a wonderful creamy bisque that was seafood based.2nd - I had the braised Short rib w pho glaze and pickled veggies. We also had the Hot rock salmon w champagne compound butter. I didn t care for this dish.. but the presentation was cool.3rd. Bison filet w red wine Demi and Halibut w chorizo and butternut squash pure. Both were fantastic and perfectly preparedDessert- chocolate bomb w caramel !I highly recommend this restaurant. It s views alone are worth the trip. It was pretty casual too. The tram ticket up is included w the reservation. There s not a lot to do after you get up the mountain so you don t need to be super early. If you are waiting around for an after 5 pm reservation there s 2 bars that open at 5pm In the resort w killer mixology drinks and more beautiful views.

A fantastic experience with everything! There is simply no other way to put it. Seven glaciers restaurant posh decadence leaves you yearning for more. Your trip up the tram is an experience. You will not forget, the views from the top of the mountain will help you capture your next selfie that can be used for a profile pic!The four course meals are next level and should be experienced by anyone who is able to make their way here. The staff is well experienced and provide great service throughout your dinner experience. Choose your dessert wisely as you may need to order two!

I ve never experienced better customer service in my life. The atmosphere and views are stunning. The food was delicious especially the king salmon. We were traveling with our infant and forgot diapers in the car. Rather than having us spend 30+ minutes going down the tram they called down to the gift shop and had one on hand in case of an emergency. They were so thoughtful and kind to do this for us so we could enjoy our dinner. We even got lucky and saw a bear after dinner!!

Visited 2/10/24; fantastic, fantastic service. We visited for an early Valentine's dinner, and everything was amazing. There isn't a bad seat in the entire restaurant in my opinion, everyone who works there including the BoH is so kind and thoughtful. The food is amazing, I will be dreaming about some of the courses for a very long time. Great wine recommendation that fit into our budget (I'd rather tip more than spend $20 more on a bottle of wine). Desserts are literally works of art (felt bad because I didn't really have any room left by then so I forced my husband to eat most of both).Riding the tram up and down was so much fun. Thank you to everyone who made our experience so amazing!ps. if you come in winter, do not wear nice shoes, or bring them in a bag and wear hiking or snow boots. I was debating wearing flats, and ended up putting on my boots to be safe. If i had been wearing flats, or god forbid heels, I would have not had a good time getting up to the restaurant haha.Parking: There is one parking lot in the front of the resort. When we visited, it was full, so we utilized the overflow parking lot that is clearly marked and was a quick walk. There is also valet parking.

My family has waited 3 years to dine at Seven Glaciers. Our trips never seemed to align with their hours of operation. That finally changed and we got to partake in this unique dining experience atop a mountain at Alyeska Resort. There were 7 of us and we spent $700, but it was worth it! Everything exceeded expectations from the service, the atmosphere, the views and even the food. Their focus is quality over quantity and it shows because each dish was expertly prepared. I was only full after I finished my dessert. I had the scallop bisque, salmon and filet mignon; each dish more delectable than the last. Thank you Seven Glaciers for an unforgettable night!

Fine dining at the top of Alyeska Mountain. The reservation includes a ticket on the tram to the top of the mountain with spectacular views! We enjoyed the 4 course tasting menu with oysters on the side. Highlights were the duck, steak main course and of course the desserts! Do not skip the chocolate mousse!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Seven Glaciers back in August 2023. It was absolutely a phenomenal experience! The food was delicious! The view from our seating was stunning! Majestic mountain view with the sun setting in the background. Absolutely gorgeous! Hughey, our server, was wonderful! Highly recommend, 10 out of 10!

We arrived in Alaska and drove to Girdwood for our first night. My wife booked reservations at the Seven Glaciers restaurant and wow! You ride up a gondola to the top of the mountain. This is by the way, the only ski resort in the area. The restaurant is at the top and it's nice! We both ordered the crab bisque and the king crab to eat with it! Sooooooo good! I had halibut and she had salmon. The salmon was served over a "hot" rock and then the waiter poured hot oil over top and it sizzles table side for you. Everything was top notch, service, food, and the view! Go hear if you get the chance!!

Simply the most amazing restaurant I ve ever had the pleasure to experience. My partner worked in the kitchen in the 90s and has been regaling me with stories of it for over a decade. It did not disappoint.

The overall experience was good, but there were several things that kept it from being great. The ambiance, wine, fresh bread, and oysters were highlights. At the time of our visit there were three options to choice from for each course. I did ask our server for recommendations, but in retrospect I would have chooses a different line up for the 4 courses as mine were all very rich and heavy. Each dish was just on the verge of being amazing, but had one component that missed the mark for the $$$$. Too much cream in the bisque, underdone bone marrow, and incredibly salty greens with the steak made it just underwhelming.Would recommend a more careful selection for the courses - I.e.: a lighter 1st and 2nd course to pair with a heavier main entree. We did get our desserts to go, which were lovely to enjoy a bit later.

Had a most wonderful first time dinner experience at Seven Glacier s Restaurant. Enjoyed all the dishes startling with the bisque soup, crab cake, butternut squash as the main course (almost thought it was fish at presentation) and topped off with Neapolitan desert. All were delish! Definitely need reservations and be prepared for extra chilly weather when leaving but all worth it to have 5 star dining in Alaska!
