My fianc and I reserved a spot here for Thanksgiving Dinner! The staff, atmosphere and several courses of food and wine were absolutely fantastic. I ve been here several times over a few years and each time has been a treat. They also have a large selection of brews to try, this place never disappoints! I would recommend for any occasion.

Really good food, atmosphere and service. The King Crudo was excellent but the Ribeye wasn't a very good quality piece of meat but it was cooked and seasoned well. Unfortunately they don't take reservations so you have to plan to spend extra time there, not good if you're traveling through as they are always busy.Parking: With so many other activities in such close proximity the parking is terrible especially in the winter season.

Very cute ambience and a good restaurant. The place is definitely pricey for the food Quantity and Quality.I should say somewhat worth for seafood, but not great for vegetarian or any other options.Food - definitely try special salmon and salmon dips. Yam fries are also tasty with their green sauce . Vegetarian food is really bad for the price.Dessert - chocolate ding dong cake, vanilla ice cream, cheesecake. All desserts are amazing and very decadent.Vegetarian options: Not many options for vegetarian. Do not come here if you are super hungry as there are very less veg options.

Modern yet rustic feel. The wait staff was nice. The menu was creative and diverse. My bibimbop was good, only issue was the big amount of kimchi that was over-fermented/ over-ripened making it too sour. The Big Jack wagyu burger didn't really set itself apart from any other burger but was decent. Fries came out really pale. Beer / wine only, no other spirits. Overall a nice experience but there was a little something missing that would otherwise make it a 5.

We went after skiing and while there was a wait, they had a bar with heaters outside which was nice. We got the steak, basta pasta, and the peanut pan. All tasted amazing. Along with the cheesecakes, again, amazing. Our waitress was also very personable, funny, knowledgeable. Oh, I forgot the appetizers were very surprising and was glad we got them based on our waitress s recommendation. All around awesome experience with a Mountain View. And we definitely want to grab some of the artwork in there!

You are not welcome here alone.I waited at the hostess stand outside and was ignored by the server. Eventually, I stepped inside and the staff all looked directly at me as they yelled at each other over the blaring music so I continued to wait patiently. After a while a couple came in, also confused, wondering if I was the hostess. Finally a woman in a red coat stepped uncomfortably close to my face, cleaning her teeth with her tongue (as apparently we had interrupted her eating), asking the man behind me if we d like a table for 3. I said one and she made no effort but to direct me to the seat at the end of the bar directly behind the door. Not sure how anyone sits there without the door hitting them. Presumably the lack of space in the entryway was the reason for her awkward proximity to my person?4:50pm on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, there was only one other couple recently sat, one couple with doggie boxes preparing to leave, a guy at the other end of the five seat bar already drunk and loudly monopolizing the bartender - one of six employees in the place who couldn t be bothered to even acknowledge my presence with a smile or head nod or greeting. A sea of empty tables I have been dreaming of coming back here for nearly a decade that I was away from Alaska. I finally got the opportunity to come, circumstantially by myself, and in anticipation dressed nice for the treat I had been looking forward to for so long. But Yikes! How enjoyable would a meal be crammed into a one-foot square space in the corner, on a stool, behind the main door, next to a sloppy drunk, in a deafening environment where the entire staff wantonly ignore you? Why would anyone want or pay for that experience?! No thanks! As I sat in my car deciding on an alternative, the hostess stood outside at her post and glared directly at me. Strange. It s definitely no longer the place that had been so special to me.

The atmosphere and customer service is great. I really didn't care for the food. I've been wanting to eat here ever since I moved to Alaska seven years ago because I had been hearing good things. I didn't like the texture or taste of the salmon dip; it was too salty, the bread for the dip was just bad, the pickled veggies were ok. Captains catch was way too salty and the Basta Pasta; no salt. Last but not least the Root beer, I should've just ordered a coke. Will I go there again.... I don't know.

Cool space with delicious food. Bibimbap kept burning my mouth but was pretty good. Recommend the vegan nachos. Chocolate cake was something else.

One of my favorite restaurants! Highly recommend the mulled wine, yam fries, and peanut pan. I also got the sea babies (scallops) this time and they were very good. Excellent service and the restaurant view and architecture is very cool.

Disappointed: the fare simply did not live up to the restaurant's vaunted reputation (which was the reason I brought three visitors with me).Broccolirabe was definitely not a complementary pairing with the delicate flavor of halibut (indeed, it was jarring). The sliced fresh peaches in the "Peachy Keen" dessert were unripe, hard, and lacking any flavor. ("No, Chef. Cooking the peach slices will not make up for them being not ripe.")One dining companion said their salad, with added scallops, was excellent; as was their dessert.Another was pleased with their Wagyu burger and the fries.Appreciation for recycled/recyclable take-home containers.PS (added on 9.15.23): I don't "bargain" with or about my reviews.Parking: Upper and lower parking areas; plus, it looked like some patrons parked alongside the road.

Great atmosphere and food. Loved the vegan options they have and everything tasted very good. The portions were enough and thanks for the staff for guiding us to not to order too much.At first we felt the person at reception was cold and robotic. The sever was very good and welcoming, and guided us through the options. The food is on the upper side of price but well worth of the price. It s unique, fresh and tasty.Must visit if you are around Girdwood.

What a great experience! The food was excellent and the staff was really attentive. Prices are high-end, but the quality of the food is quite good. The menu is rotational and limited, however, they offer vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes, as well as good pasta. The beet and burratta salad was delicious! The BipBimPop dish was large and tasty also.

Don't miss this unreal dinner experience. One of the greatest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of stumbling upon. First night we had the salmon special cooked in a corn husk, and Bibimbap. Wow. The salmon had a smokey corn side that we could not put down. Best salmon I ever had, as a PNW native. The Bibimbap was a real treat with the rice crisping on the hot rock bowl right in front of you. Just perfect in every surprising detail. Had to come back again for the brisket (pictured), with an amazing marscapone polenta side and the most outstanding crispy brussels sprouts with a mystery sauce, I'm guessing plum. I don't even like Brussels sprouts but this was heaven. Finally the curried little lamb had extravagant homemade fresh pasta perfectly cooked and presented, and was an excellent pasta dish, but probably the least adventurous order of them all. I never get dessert but we had to see what they could do. Dong cake was great as advertised. Still want to try the vegan cheesecake. The service was also fabulous, best I have seen post-covid (by far). Thank you for being the highlight of our great vacation.

A+ food in an A+ dining environment! I had the Bibimbap with scallops instead of pork. It was the best decision I have made all year. I hope to come back to Jack Sprat the next time I m in Alaska.

The meal was great but I think the dessert was the best! Very good Thai-based curry dishes and carnivore entrees. Show up hungry! Excellent beer and wine list as well.

Overall it was a great experience, the ambiance and service are awesome. Yam fries are perfection. But the peanut pan is a little heavy on the sauce, and the bibimbop was just too hot to eat initially.

The restaurant was at about 30% capacity and the waitress told us 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we were seated. We ordered drinks and 2 apps. We waited about 25 min for our first app and our drinks were not delivered yet. Shortly after our 2nd app was delivered and still no drinks. The Salmon App tasted like it sat out for hours before being served. The waiter may have checked in on us once. It was a highly disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.Edit: Wow, not even an apology for the poor food and service. Matches the service we got.

Highly recommended place and i finally got to check it our with my amazing group of friends. The staff alone gets 10-Stars!! Very polite and very well trained. We got sat for a party of 9 rather quickly, so that was great.I am rating a 3-Star because of food. We were told that the burrito was not spicy and a family member who can't have spicy foods was unable to eat it. Every dish that came out needed more seasoning, as simple as salt and pepper. The curry was dry and a side order of curry broth was needed. The burguer bun just crumbled after the first bite. The hummus dip needed seasoning as well, and the scallops were undercooked.

Incredible dining experience and value. Visiting out of state. Stopped by hoping to catch the northern lights and stopped Jack Sprat as an afterthought. It is New American on a new level. I ordered the sea babies and Root salad with an added side of pork belly. Highest marks to the chef, both dishes were incredibly flavorful and well prepared. High praise also to the kitchen and staff for great customer service.
