Loved the Carriage House for our first 2 nights in Alaska! Convenient and gorgeous ride from the airport, nice clean room, and Rachel couldn't have been more welcoming. Help yourself breakfast always available, with many options and delicious homemade granola!!! I must mention we had a tour booked in the a.m. of our checkout date, and Rachel let us come back to pack and retrieve our suitcases, even though it was after checkout. Such a great place, I highly recommend!

What an absolutely delightful place to stay! As a horse person, I loved the story of Tecumseh and Kobuk and that I was able to stay in what was Tecumseh's stall. Very clean, quality linens, and beautiful surroundings that make you feel like you're off the beaten path but you're just a short walk into town. Rachel and Jake are fabulous hosts who want to make sure you've got everything you need during your stay. I highly recommend staying here!!

The Carriage House in Girdwood was exactly what our family of 10 needed to start our Alaskan adventure. We reserved all of the rooms in the main house which provided our family with ample room for everyone to be comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were beautiful. The hosts, Rachel and Jake, were very welcoming and accommodating. They had many great ideas of activities to do in the area. Breakfast was perfect and much appreciated. Can easily walk to a couple of restaurants and a small grocery store. Girdwood seems to be centrally located to an abundance of gorgeous views and great hiking. I would highly recommend the Carriage House to anyone visiting Girdwood!

The accommodation was comfortable and the breakfast included simple continental style offerings (cereal, yogurt, oatmeal packets, boiled eggs, bagels, homemade scones). The night we stayed we had the whole place to ourselves and got to enjoy the hot tub, which was an added feature to the property but seemed due for cleaning. I would not recommend staying in the Coach room as it was right next to the staircase and the entry of the house. We were slightly disappointed that we weren't alerted to the ongoing construction to the outside of the house prior to our stay and wasn't mentioned when we met the host. Though this didn't affect our stay inside the house, it did negatively impact the overall ambiance of the property. The host was present and provided us information about the area but she was not very warm & welcoming

We rented out the Carriage House for our son's graduation party and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We love supporting local businesses! The food was amazing and all of the staff were hospitable. It is a beautiful space to show off Alaska!

Took my wife to the Hayloft for a weekend trip and had a blast!! Love the scenic drive to Girdwood from Anchorage and Rachel was very accommodating. Hot tub was a perfect way to relax in the evening time in 3*F. Kitchen came in clutch too since we brought our food with us and had no problem cooking our favorite meals there.

We did an overnight as a getaway weekend from Anchorage and were very pleased with the accommodations and service. Our room was comfortable, our hosts were very helpful, breakfast was tasty, and the setting, on a large wooded lot on Crow Creek Road, was beautiful. The hot tub, in particular, is nicely situated in a gazebo with a clear roof. We were in one of three ground-floor rooms in the main building. There appears to be at least one other two-story building, and I'm not sure if it's divided into different rooms or rented as a whole. For our building, access was up one step from a gravel parking lot. There is a breakfast area when you enter, with a small sitting room that can become a bedroom and three separate bedrooms with private baths off of the breakfast area. The rooms I saw were spacious but the bathroom might present problems for someone with a wheelchair or walker due to the placement of the door. Doorways were standard width. The breakfast area has a small table with chairs and an eating bar with stools. The kitchen is small but pretty well equipped. The hosts will do their best to accommodate dietary requirements if given notice. On our visit, breakfast included delicious homemade banana bread. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to visit again!

Clean, comfortable and up to date rooms. Great amenities. Bed and breakfast seems a bit of a stretch considering it s Continental breakfast with frozen bagels, but there were some home made breads two of the three days I stayed. Fresh fruit and yogurt were perfect for me anyways, but I do think the hosts should be more up front with what their breakfast entails. It s not a hot, home cooked breakfast if that s what you re thinking. Otherwise, the amenities were perfect! Even extras like bug spray and bear spray to use if you go hiking. The en suite bathroom was a huge win. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The bed and pillows in the carriage room were a bit worn, flat pillows (which the host tried to remedy with alternatives) and a somewhat squishy bed. Overall, I would definitely stay again! The location in Girdwood was perfect for exploring the Chugach forest and northern parts of the Kenai peninsula.

3 night stay in Sept '16. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing, the accommodations great (clean, comfy rooms and beds) and walkable to "Downtown" Girdwood. But they all pale compared to Jake and Rachel's kind and welcoming hospitality. They transcend mere hosts, they feel like caring family. And the breakfasts are tremendous and don't miss the homemade granola. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Beautiful location right near the center of Girdwood in a beautiful secluded setting. We stayed in the Hayloft and, for a small fee, added the breakfast option at the main house. The added breakfast was well worth the cost. Our hosts were very friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. They communicated with us in a timely manner and offered great tips for making the most of the area. The accommodations had a full kitchen with enough spices, bakeware, and utensils that we could cook our own meal when we didn't want to eat out. Other amenities included wifi, tv, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, coffee, creamer, and more. The property preserved the beauty of the wild landscape while also adding nicely groomed additions that showed great care for the location. The woodwork in the main house was stunning! Although we didn't have a chance to use it, there is a hot tub that all guests have access to use. The Winner Creek Hiking Trail is just up the road leading to the Alyeska Lodge with many beautiful spots along the way. We also hiked the north face of Mt. Alyeska, taking the tram back down. It offered beautiful views of the seven peaks and glaciers that surround Girdwood. This bed and breakfast is highly recommended.

Came here with a girlfriend for a little getaway to relax in the hot tub. Had a great time, owner was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Alyeska resort, good restaurants nearby. Can't go wrong staying here.

My wife and I stayed at Kobuks stall for our honeymoon. This place is amazing. We wanted the rustic cabin feel and we got it! A very cozy place with just the right amount of amenities. The hot tub was amazing! Lots of things to do and see in and around Girdwood. Thanks Rachel and Jake!!

Oh my goodness....this was a great place and wonderful experience. Rachel is a truly wonderful hostess. We stayed in Kobuk's Stall. The craftmanship and wood is beautiful. Breakfast was not included but offered. Amazing cook Rachel is too! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay for one night. The new Chalet Efficiency room had a nice size kitchen, comfy bed and pillows, and convenient location to Double Musky. We hope to be back some day.

Great to see Carriage House B&B stepping it up in our Girdwood community with a variety of accommodations. We have sent our adventure tour guests there for years with awsome results.
