The nicest Auto Repair shop I have dealt with in Fairbanks by far. Also the husband and wife team are very nice, honest and make this business pleasurable to deal with.

Had Z transmission replace my transmission in my truck, Very happy with the customer service and work received. They were able to do the job for 5k less than another garage in town quoted me. Down to earth people who truly care about their customers.

Just a fantastic operation. Bought truck on for winterizing, come to find out my truck already had factory block heater. Dropped off our 2019 Jeep Cherokee for the 60k service. $86.50 later, they tell me that it is unserviceable and that they don't have the dealer specific tools. This would've been nice to know beforehand.

Super great people. Gave a laundry list of things for our truck that we 'thought' were wrong. Where many places would've just gone through and done what we said, regardless of if the truck needed it or not, Z's was honest and up front and really walked me through everything needed for the truck. They were patient with my many questions and were always looking for ways to save us money.I strongly recommend them!

Had clutch assembly replaced. Very friendly, fast, and affordable. The new clutch feels great! Straightforward on pricing.

Zach is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Every time we need work done on either of our vehicles my husband and I will only take them to Z Transmission. Working with them is always such a great experience. They get us in quickly and we get our vehicles back in a timely fashion without being charged an arm and a leg. :)

I took my truck here because I thought my transmission was slipping but the owner found my real problem and saved me a ton of money. As a woman who doesn't know much about the workings of auto mechanics it's hard to find a place that doesn't take advantage but Z Transmission is that exception. This is a mechanic shop that does so much more than transmissions. The owners run a top rate shop. I am extremely impressed with this place. If you are looking for an excellent mechanic, honest business dealings and reasonable rates don't go anywhere else.

Took my RV down to Z transmission and got an oil change, it was done lightning fast, and they even topped off some fluids and changed my air filter that desperately needed it! excellent service, and the staff is amazingly friendly! i recommend them to everyone for all needs, not just on RVs but cars and trucks, they do it all!

I do not recommend it at all.They charged us to repair the noisy exhaust.They changed 2 parts with the price of 12 dollars and charge us in total for 118$.But no difference and still noisy and they did not let us to check the car before payment and after payment they told us, "it may not works down in the road", and it did not.Untrustful mechanic and I never bring my car there again.

We took our 99 GMC that had lost reverse. It was shortly after he had opened and the trans rebuild was done in 3 days.Wonderful work and service! I have been recommending him for year.

Wonderful people, did great work on my car and got it done in one day and fixed a small issue I didn't know I had. Friendly, polite, funny. I definitely recommend this place if you need auto repair.

Do not listen to the one star reviews. I've driven and dragged my vehicles to this shop several times and have only ever had great experiences! These guys are good they'll work with you. We knew parts would be an issue I dove it while we waited then we found something we didn't know about it went into the cage until parts show up. Old rig.

I would recommend Z- Transmission to anyone wanting an excellent service and trustworthy people who are not only honest and informative but would also go an extra mile to make sure you re happy with the results. Great work at reasonable price

Even though I couldn't get the job done here... Zach and his wife went above and beyond to help find what was needed, where to get it, who to talk to, and even gave me phone numbers and names of others who could possibly help. And won't let me pay them a penny for their time.

Terrible service quoted us 4 1/2 then turned around and took they're sweet time dragging it out to 7 hours also had to help and do work myself on my vehicle I was paying them to work on they walked away for about 30 minutes talking and joking someone leaning on the back of a truck while My husband was working on the vehicle they were supposed to be working on don't go here you'll get ripped off

Terrible experience. Truck broke again two weeks after getting it bacK, didn't warranty parts and it was only the parts he replaced that broke, again.
