Won t service older BMW bikes, not even for the simplest jobs. Needed a rear sprocket changed, not in a hurry, I was calling way ahead while I still was in Canada. Even was able to bring the part myself if that would form an obstacle. We didn t even get to the planning part, or that their full schedule might be an obstruction to help out. Just the fact that I ride a BMW (the brand they re an official dealership for) X-Challenge from 2007 was enough to direct me towards the exit with a flimsy story about we re living in a pandemic , global supply chain shortage , in a way I m surprised that they didn t mention that a dog ate the service manual. One word of advice for BMW riders considering this shop: take your business and money to The Motorcycle Shop in Anchorage, an official BMW dealership as well and for them it was no issue to service my bike, they were willing to order a part I needed. They represent the true spirit of motorcyclists riding their bike through Alaska, and have a feel for what a customer needs. These guys just want the low hanging fruit and take advantage of the fact they re at trails end . Wanting to hose down 1200gs-es and make easy money during high season. Fine by me, but be upfront by it and don t represent an A-brand when you can t deliver A-level service, or at least pretend you can.1-star guys, well deserved. Enjoy your day!Edit: before I forget, and to keep it fair. The employee did give me a number of a mechanic maybe willing to help out. Just a shame the number wasn t in use or known at all in any database.

These guys are great. Sorry to be so long in writing this review. Scheduled a service stop here for service and tire change on our 1200GS in June 2017 on a trip from southern Arizona to Alaska and back. Talked to the parts manager on the phone to put a set of tires on hold and he told me that if I was from out of town it didn t matter if I had an early appointment or not it was first come first serve here in Fairbanks at this time of year. Appreciated the heads up, and I made sure I was first in line the morning of my scheduled service! The mechanic Brad actually started work on my bike before opening time. He came out before starting work on my bike and introduced himself, and came out a couple times during the job to explain some things about the service he was performing and ask my preferences and explain some service issues related to my bike. Very nice touch, very reassuring about the care he was taking with my bike, and very reassuring to see firsthand the exceptional skill level and expertise of the technician who was working on my bike in the middle of a 10,000 mile trip through some pretty desolate areas riding 2-up with my wife. Where I am from the service departments seem to make sure you can t even see the technician who works on your bike, much less allow him to come out and talk to you about your bike. Very nice touch. We hung out there several hours, and all service staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and gave us lots of tips and helpful information about the rest of our trip. We will surely be stopping there again when we visit Alaska again in summer 2019.

Nice and large shop that sells and services Harleys, BMW motorcycles and a couple of other brands. I went there when I was passing through Fairbanks after about half of a 10,000 km ride through western Canada and Alaska because my F 800 GS had electrical issues. Unfortunately, the service people did not have time to look at my bike because they were swamped with other work. Probably not a place to go unannounced and expect help. Best to get an appointment.

I went to the dealership this summer on a long tour of Alaska and Canada and was thoroughly disappointed. This a multi-brand dealership with Harley Davidson as the primary brand. The staff was rude and confrontational from my first entering the dealership. I was there to get a front tire on my BMW motorcycle and was treated poorly. The parts staff was hostile to me. Confronting me about the type of tire I needed. After several attempts to explain they finally listened and found the correct part. Then on to service for more hostility. Comments ranged from "we shouldn't have to work on BMWs," to this is to old to work on, to it is too dirty." They finally took my bike into the shop and tried to mount the front tire. After 3 hours I was getting nervous and up set as to what was taking them so long. All I got was excuses and it should be done soon. 6 hours later and they finally got the tire to set the bead. I paid my bill and left. I would recommend that you stay away from this dealership for any service on your BMW motorcycle. If you are riding a Harley Davidson and you have lots of tattoos and attitude, you should find yourself right at home. It is a shame that the previous owner sold out to these morons.STAY AWAY and BE THANKFUL YOU DID!!!

My wife called this service department to get her bike in the next day while we were passing through town to get her chain tightened. We were told that we would probably have to wait most of the day because they were busy. This is a ten minute job at most. It's a shame they can't take 10 minutes to help a traveler passing through.

100 % recommend this place. Work with the BMW salesman (Keith) was the easiest thing I made, I didn't want to get dragged into a day-long marathon of negotiating or get blown off like I had with other dealers before (Honda for example).. within him and the accountant resolved all my doubts and showed me the best deal for me.

First class shop. Well stocked and found time to fit a broke down out of town rider into their busy shop.

Won't work on my BMW as it is "too old." Obviously not terribly proud of their products. Sad.
