Very knowledgeable & customer-focused. Woodway isn't trying to pressure you into a sale, they're hoping to help you find the best option for you & your family. Prices are fair to excellent, and we get the feeling that they're educating us on both Pros & Cons for each stove/fuel source we looked at.

So we bought a house in 2020. We have called the woodway every year since then. They keep saying they offer no on site support for stove. Why are you a dealer if u don't support what you sell? Will think twice before going there again.

Woodway should not advertise that they service everything they sell. How is it a service to make the consumer dismantle, load, and haul your stove to them? Do they assume every customer has the capability to move and lift such a heavy item? I know I sure can t! Am I supposed to hire someone to disconnect, move, and lift the stove into my car and then hire them again to do it all in reverse? How is this a service ? I guess having the monopoly means you can demand pretty much anything. How sad. Not a business I would ever do business with again nor encourage anyone else to.

Worst overall expierience of my life. I saved for over a year to purchase a Quadra Fire pellet stove and ever since we have had nothing but problems. Wood way gives us the run around and blatantly lies to the customer. I have contacted Quadra-Fire for months and only have a case number to show for it. This unit was blowing tons and tons of soot into our home. Our walls are covered in black and we are breathing this in on a daily basis. Both Wood way and Quadra fire go back and forth but no one wants to step up and replace the unit. I think what bothers me most is that the company and manufacturer of the stove don't seem to mind that my family's health is important. I have sent videos of the stove gushing black smoke from the front vents and my black soot covered walls and still they allow this stove to remain in my home. What ever happend to decency and caring for people? I just wanted others to know how both Wood way in Fairbanks and Quadra Fire have treated us and how they do not stand by their products.Today Joshua actually told me that my issues are not important and they are booked through Feb! Also, a very important fact they give you a piece of paper when you buy your stove from them and tell you to use one of those installers today. I was told they don t recommend any installers and don t back their work so please be cautious.

I am 88 years old and shivering in my home. My family is trying to care for me as I had a stroke a year ago. However, they're doomed to fail in caring for me as Woodway has failed them. My family bought an overpriced wood stove and had it installed by Woodway a few years ago. They have had nothing but issues with the stove. I can't understand how a company can be so cruel. I don't know how long I will have to wait wrapped in blankets for Woodway to fix our stove. I'm cold, tired and sick of Woodway. Please do not ever get anything from these terrible folks. I think their motto should be "The Crooked Way, The Expensive Way, The Woodway"

I ve bought two Blaze Kings, chimney pipe for a sauna stove, chainsaws, generators and brush cutters. Their service is great.They are a great local company with knowledgeable associates. They installed the one Blaze King in town for me and did a quick and reasonably priced job.The Blaze King princess I installed myself at my remote cabin. It was a breeze with all the right parts.I came to them again when I installed a sauna stove at my remote cabin. I had some rough measurements and needed to route the chimney outside the sauna with triple wall chimney pipe. Previously I tried to figure it all out at Home Depot and Lowe s. Typically the remote building projects involves having extras and what if parts. The folks at the Woodway looked at my pictures and I told them the measurements. They nailed it on all the correct chimney parts and the length without any extra trips back to town. I appreciate the knowledge and ease the installation was.Another time, they talked me out of a chainsaw I thought I wanted (and had researched) for a pro saw that was less expensive but better.I love the small town customer service. I m a repeat customer because they treat me right!!

This place is awesome! They have everything you might need to keep warm and cosy in the winter. I bought a nice axe here! The Staff are super knowledgeable and kind. I must have talked the wood stove sales guy s ear off, but he was a total gentleman about it and patiently answered all of my questions. I will come back here and get more things. Cool store, super laid back and very friendly. Great prices too!

This company knows that they sadly have the monopoly in Fairbanks. Consequently they think they are above the law and can treat their customers with rude behavior and charge them exorbitant prices. They treat you as a customer as if you were the problem rather than the lifeblood of their business. If at all possible I would avoid this company. I did not realize when I entered into business with them that it would be the beginning of many sorrows. If you want your life to be one of of regret and you have a particular interest in wasting money then I would recommend this company.

Bottom line upfront: I recommend this business and will shop here again. There was never a moment where I felt unimpressed. For the cost of this big project, I would have walked away as soon as my spidy sense tingled. It never did.These guys answered all of my questions patiently at the store despite me being on the fence and making three different visits. I had a lot of questions. They took time to educate me on various things and helped me buy the correct product. They did not act like salesmen; just a bunch of regular people. They came on time the scheduled install day. Very professional and clean. I was not sure if I had made a good decision because of my house layout. But, when I saw the finished install, I was very happy. I am confident they did a superb install even in the hard to see areas. The project seemed expensive but this is Alaska and superb work costs money.

we had to hire a different contractor to come fix the looks of our gas stove installation after the wooday install This cost us over $700. We told 2 different people 3 times that we were very unhappy with the looks of the install during installation but they insisted there was no other way of doing what they did

Brought my toyostove in for a routine service a while back and it came home with a horrendous vibration. When I called to ask about the issue and what we could do to resolve it, they immediately blamed it on me.

This place and their employees are fair and knowledgeable! If I am having an issue with my chainsaw, snowblower or toyo stove this is the only place I call. If they know I can fix the issue myself, they enlighten me to what is going on and sell the necessary part(s) to fix the issue. Which saves time and money.

The store is nice and they have good products at not good prices. The main issue that I have is every time I have been in this store they always seem too busy to help you. There will be like one other person in the store yet they can't even bother to greet you. You just stand awkwardly waiting to make eye contact or yell at them to get some assistance. I can't comprehend how a store this well staffed can have such an issue with customer service.

Excellent Customer Service!I have been purchasing products and service from the Woodway for several years now. We purchased a new wood stove a few years back and had some on going issues that were part of a design flaw with the stove. The guys were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in resolving the issue. They went above and beyond what they needed to do and replaced the stove with a model that I am very happy with.As a small business owner myself, I like to deal with companies that have the same customer service approach as I do. They are very knowledgeable and seem to know what matters most, the service after the sale.I would recommended the Wood way to any one in the interior for their heating, small engine and service needs.Thanks!Mike from Simard Automotive

Awesome customer service and good products. I purchased a new Honda generator and was given great information on operation and maintenance procedures. They also suggested I purchase a cold weather attachment to keep the equipment in good working condition in Alaskas cold winters.

Having a gas fireplace installed, and they have been great to work with. Very careful during demo of the old brick fireplace, and cleaned up and vacuumed each time they worked. Good communication before and during the project. Highly recommend.

Took a deposit to look at my saw. They lost it. I basically paid them to steal my chainsaw.Edit- Thank you for the reply. I know the saw was not worth repair, we had tried to pick up the saw ( my wife and I made multiple drives from salcha to try) and the final time we were told there may be another location they could look and we would hear back, we did not hear back. Nor give permission to dispose of it.

Took my chainsaw and my wife s in. Told them I needed a new muffler. They charge a $50 deposit per saw to start the process. So they call me up a week later and tell me they can t get the muffler for my O36 Stihl chainsaw and to come and get it. So when I get there, the charge me the $50 to basically tell me they can t order the muffler for my saw. Really? I let them know I spent 5 minutes online and ordered the OEM part. So I get my wife s saw back along with mine and leave, never to do business with them again. I took my wife s saw to Rod s Saw Shop.

Husband wants one of everything they sell ..staff was extremely helpful and loaded up the car with only what it would hold (lucky for me cuz it meant I didn't have to walk home).

This place is worse than a shady car dealership (but way less freindly because they don't have any competition). I went in to price stoves and was pressured into buying a stove that they knew was too big for the size space I told them it was intended for. So do your research first, because their "expert" opinion is just a way of talking you into spending more money on stuff you probably don't need!

Great service!! Sell Honda, Husqvarna, Cub Cadet, mowers, chain saws, side by sides , weed trimmers and lots more. Best price for Husqvarna folding ATV or lawn tractor ramps, good selection of wood burning and pellet stoves and accessories. Busy most times but fast service.

I was in Fairbanks visiting family and had the opportunity to attend Blaze King wood stove training on Saturday. The training was outstanding, the young woman who presented the training was very professional and through. She covered all aspects of how to operate the stove, all of the theory on why blaze king stoves performs so incredibly. The students were attentive and asked many good questions which were all clearly answered. I am a Blaze King user and I learned a great deal about my Princess Stove at the training. I also had the opportunity to visit with Kent and Clint who were very knowledgeable as well . My experience at the Woodway was clearly a 10 out of 10. I will be going back on my next visit.
