They do more than fine work and have pretty good customer service. But be wary. Maybe the times are changing but, the costs are just insane. Again, I understand inflation is a factor, but telling me my truck runs very rough and asking for hundreds of dollars more to continue work is insane (I declined the offer and my truck ran great) to summarize, they do good work, but will try to get more money to continue work that may or may not be necessary. if you need your truck up and running they'll do it. But DO NOT authorize any more work. Please remember this is my opinion/experience only.

An unfortunate experience for new/returning customers. My wife and kids drove 2 hours to have our Sienna inspected. Was notified no waiters while the vehicle is getting checked out. This was not made aware on their website or over the phone when making the appointment. My wife said to Marnie(sp?), I Don t have a ride and she promptly handed back the keys to my wife. Unacceptable. No accommodations offered. Especially a place of public business with a waiting room (see pictures). I hope this helps those who may not be aware.

I really enjoy the after hours pick up!Estimate is easy to view and sent to you for approval.Payment can be made through a link sent through text or email.Everyone is friendly, fast and honest.

Sunshine Rae Motors has been our repair shop of choice for over ten years. They are always very professional, do excellent work and have always completed our repairs in a very timely manner. Their after hours lockbox pick up is a life saver for our busy life! Well lit and easy to use I can pick my car up anytime and feel safe and secure. Their lobby is clean and comfortable and their staff is always polite, efficient and very helpful. An amazing locally owned trustworthy repair shop. We have used a few other shops over the years and Sunshine Rae Motors is the best we have found for price, services and overall experience. I had paid 2000.00 for this shop to get my car tip top shape. I ran out of gas 1 month later. I brought my car to this place again. This place tried to tell me it was my gas pump quoted me another 1500.00 I told them no way and the lady in office was extremely rude, unprofessional, and she wouldn t allow me to pay with my card just for the inspection. She demanded cash ONLY mince you I paid 2000.00 with my card the month prior. I had to leave work made me find a ride just to come in face to face just so I can get my car back. Yet the woman didn t want to release my car and I had to call the police on the shop. The woman yelled in my face and I recorded it all. I even had a family member as a witness. I will never ever do business here nor do I recommend anyone to use these crooks. Turned out I just ran out of gas and the new shop was honest and told me I just needed gas and filled my tank up. Please don t use this shady business you will regret it. Promise!Service: Engine repair

in 2021 I payed for a tune up and ignition coil pack replacement and spark plug job for my expedition. They charged me 900 dollars or more and less than a year after I had to replace spark plug no 5. It was so corroded and stuck inside the cylinder I had to break it and use a weeks worth of PB blaster to get it free. Based on evidence of the spark plugs and coil packs, only one was replaced and they charged me 900 dollars! Then they refused to work on taking out the seized plug. Lesson of the story is to learn to DIY if you can, cause cheap lame owners like this make the auto industry look BAD! Shame on you martyService: Auto maintenance

They were timely, professional, put up with my annoying questions and did an absolutely amazing job getting my truck running right again. And to top it off, they were extremely fair with their price. I dont usually do reviews unless people post nonsense. I have only ever used sunshine rae and have sent otherws there. They by far have best prices in town even with going by book hours for some repairs. It has always be fast and reliable service with no BS they have never tried to make me do more than i need too for repairs. Customer service has always been kind answered my questions and given great adviced . I have used Sunshine Rae multiple times over the past year. I've been very happy with the speed of their service and their prices. I also don't feel like they are trying to upsell me when I go to them for a vehicle repair. They also recently started using a computer system that sends convenient notifications and lets you to do work authorizations and payments online. This makes the process even more streamlined. Highly recommend this shop.

Here's why I gave them 3 out of 5 stars.Positives: I found their prices to be fair and service to be honest.Negatives: Their customer service is often rude and dismissive. They also struggle to be reasonable with their policies. For example, they do not take payment over the phone, only in person and over the internet. If you are in a position where you can only pay over the phone, hopefully you don't need your car back until tomorrow. Does this sound reasonable to you?

This is the perfect place to take your vehicle when you had enough of it s sh*t and just want it to work like it should. The staff is friendly and honest. The lobby is comfy and spacious and great for pondering why you didn t have them inspect your temperamental money pit of a vehicle beforehand. The prices are fair (i.e. they won t nickel and dime you for extra zip ties and washer fluid like some places in this town). They re good people and they do good work!

My thermostat kept messing up in my car, Mike got it fixed right away. When the replacement one crapped out they got me right back in and had it fixed in no time! LOVE these guys

Customer service agents were extremely hostile and rude. Gave them multiple chances and never really are pleasentMy last time, ended up paying 600 dollars for them to fix multiple small oil leaks, which weren't the problem. Bring it back and they charged me another 100 for diagnostics. Then they tell me the main leak is behind the engine and will run approximately 1000.At this point, I end up totalling and selling the car because it is a $2000 car. Wasting $700 on their error of not seeing the main leak and saying they fixed it.This is one story of many.

I got an oil change and the 20 point inspection before driving to the lower 48. The inspection was free and they did an oil change. My brakes were squeaking a little and instead of telling me they needed replaced right away they told me i was still good. They could have easily told me I needed to replace them now and could ve charged me. Everyone there is very honest and professional! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Great outfit, trustworthy, and do good work at very fair prices (ie way cheaper than dealers in town). We use them for both our cars and hav always been really pleased with their work and their honesty.

Honest with top quality staff is my first impression. I have never had any issues taking my vehicles and/or referring others to them. Sunshine Rae's will and will always be my goto for vehicle services in Fairbanks. Thanks for everything!

I love that these guys, they know how to fix a car, they can work on anything. 70-present vehicles. They are up front and honest and I never feel I am taking advantage of. Been many times and know that I am being taken care of. Never a bad experience.

The ONLY shop I contacted in town that was fast and reliable and didnt leave me with a bill that was way over the actual estimate. Everything I asked for was fixed in under 2 days. Other shops wouldnt even touch my vehicle. We will always send business here.

Great price, awesome service. They have a way to pay remotely, so pick up and drop off can be contactless. Didn t try to upsell me on an extras I didn t need. Complete confidence in the work. Will go here again.

Had my vehicle worked on multiple times for the same issue constantly, and would return with the same problem after assuring me it was fixed. Also went there 2 other separate occasions to make an appointment and they promised to call me back with a quote and appointment, yet never bothered to call me. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

They sure know how to drain the life out of you. Excellent mechanics. The front counter will make every step of the way pulling teeth. They hate life. If you hate your job and people that much find another job.

Called the shop and asked them how much they charge for a diagnostic. The diagnostic beat the price I was quoted at a different shop. So I decided to take it in. After everything was checked they doubled the diagnostic charge and when I said something about it the called me a liar. I clearly remember the price the lady gave me on the phone. Really unprofessional. Will not come here again.
