Had some work done here. Truck hasn t been the same since. They sent me parts back saying my truck never had them when I know it did. On top of all that, the truck was hit while in their yard. Due to a medical emergency, it took me a while to go get it. So I can t hold them liable. But I can warn others.

I wish I could leave less than a 1 star review. Truck had a long start up. They never fixed the problem, just took my money and wasted my time. I argued that my issue was not fixed and they would not give me my money back. Crooks.

I originally saw a commercial for Ken's on TV. I remembered the line sure bring it in. I had recently purchased an older car. No shop in town would do business with me because it is an older car. Ken's more than welcomed my vehicle. They were very hospitable and did an excellent job of doing the work that I needed to have done. When I called with questions, they were very helpful and friendly. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!

Took my truck here for an alignment and asked if they could find out what the vibration was in my drive train because I was about to drive to the lower 48. Took them 5 hours to finish my alignment, they said they didn t fix the vibration but thought it was something that would work itself out . After getting home I crawled under my truck and found the rear u joint was coming apart. What kind of shop cannot figure out a bad u joint?

Do not under any circumstances use this company. Had an engine rebuilt here just over a year ago, took them almost two months to rebuild it. When assembling it they failed to attach multiple vacuum lines including those to the throttle body and installed the distributor in backwards. They refused to warranty the work due to the fact that I had the issue diagnosed at another shop. These guys are scum bags and should not be trusted.Services: Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Update: KENS DID NOT HONOR WARRENTY!The welds Ken's performed started to fail after about 6 months, I only noticed after slag started to fall off and now my car is filling with exhaust. Despite virtually no corrosion, the welds were poorly done, and my exhaust pipes are like Swiss cheese. I tried to take my car back to them to fix their welds, but they refused to honor their warranty.Original Review: I had my catalytic convertor stolen from their lot. Also the thief entered my vehicle because either Ken's or the Tow truck company did not lock the door. It took 3 weeks after my scheduled appointment date before it was brought into the shop and only after multiple phone calls. From both the manager and one of their mechanics, thefts have been an on going problem from their lot. Ken's would not even give me a discount for the $1,000 catalytic convertor repair. Do not leave your vehicle overnight here!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was two days late getting my truck to Ken s; however they took it that day and were able to diagnose the problem with my truck. They have always been helpful and friendly on the phone. They promptly ordered a new transfer case for my truck. I would use them again.

Brought in my Mercedes for an alignment after I changed the struts, was supposed to be done Friday, couldn't get to it till Monday, then I go pick it up and they say they cant align it because you need special bolts that no one has in town. Said they set the toe in and charged me 60 plus 10 for shop supplies. I should have refused to pay anything.

Well after a few weeks of driving I feel I can confidently write a review. I needed a lot of work done, and so my job was on the pricier side, but I can say I'm thoroughly satisfied! Ken helped me personally and he was a friendly, professional, and kind man. Will definitely take my truck back for future repairs!

Great people to work with, very accommodating and truthful about what it was needed and what could wait. The only thing that could be better is having more shops like this one. Great work, keep it up!

These folk are awesome at what they do. I've taken my truck to them when sudden issues came up. They're quick and friendly. I had a vacation coming up in a few days when the engine began giving out. They were able to get the truck in and fixed in time. I'm very pleased with their work.Edit: 7/19Almost a year to the day from my last visit, another truck issue sprang up before a fishing trip with family. I gave them a call and they are willing to squeeze me in. It's further proof that these guys care for their customers and understand when things suddenly happen. Their staff has been supportive, informative and just great. I will continue to take my truck to them for servicing.

Best place to go to have your catalytic converter stolen! And ZERO help or assistance from the shop. Maybe a discount after spending $1,500!!?? Nope. Even shop employee had his stolen but no warning to customers.

I own a 2014 Jeep patriot, with very low miles. Last week I started to get a bunch of warning lights and my car started to drive different. I tried to figure it out by myself and I couldn't. It started to get worse, to the point where I was scared to drive my two kids with it. So I started making phone calls. I called Jeep dealership to see if they could help. They were rude and not much help at putting my mind at ease. It was going to cost $140 an hour for them to just tell me what was wrong. I asked when it could be seen. I have two little kids and this is my only car. Told me to bring it in at 9am and they might squeeze me in. They told me they could get me a shuttle. But a shuttle home doesnt help my family so I called Kens. They helped my husband when his jeep broke down. I was scared about having two broken cars at one time. They told us price could vary but should be more then $160. After a pros and cons list I decide Kens was a better choice. So we called back to see when they could get it in. They said bring it on down now and were look at it. Not even 5 minutes of being there they take my car back to look at. Not even a full hour went by and it was done. I had a sensor come loose. They fixed it, and drove it enough to make sure it wasn't coming back on. I paid nothing but the shop fee. They were nice and friendly, they cared enough about my problem specifically. If I ever need work done on a car, I'm going to Kens. They took care of my as a customer and treated me like a person, not like a paycheck and a number.Thank you Ken's

Ken's had always been the place to go for all your repair needs, they do their best to accommodate all your needs and they do a military discount.I took my truck in for a transmission flush and filter change in July, today when I went to change my oil I noticed oil leaked on the oil and transmission pan, so I checked the transmission bolts and they were so loose I could turn them with the weight of my hand, so I called Ken's and told them i was going to tighten them in order to make it to their shop and I want them properly torqued. Rather than just accept responsibility they implied that they were not loose to begin with and i voided the warranty by over tightening them and "squishing" the gasket. I tightened them so they weren't loose they shouldn't have been over tightened how would they know they were over tightened without checking the torque. Accept responsibility and treat your customers with respect, they will appreciate your services much more.

I have been a customer of Ken s since 1998, they have been the only garage I have used here in Fairbanks. My last visit was for a power steering pump replacement. Ken s has always gave me great service and my vehicle has only had to stay overnight one time. The estimates have been dead on except once where the serpentine belt had to be replaced in addition to the power steering pump. I trust these guys and do recommend to my friends who always thank me for sending them there.I strongly recommend have them do a thorough inspection on your vehicle once a year the $85.00 is well worth it. This also works if you are looking at buying a used car, they could end up saving you a lot of money in repairs.Great place Adam at the front counter will answer all of your question honestly including the good news and bad news.

I had some car issues while on vacation in Fairbanks , called a lot of garages and was in need of a thaw. 15 mins before closing these folks were able to take my vehicle in and thaw it out. From having traveled back and forth all over the west coast, also a lifelong Alaska resident. It is professionalism and people like this that set Alaska aside from the lower 48. And make it a beautiful place to live, with forever gratitude, thank you Kens Alignment.

Hard times when something breaks and your car is on the side of the road. Who to trust, where to go, how much is this going to cost. My transfer case went out and car was dead in the water. Got it towed to Kens Friday evening they had the parts ordered and my car out of the shop by lunch time Tuesday. They have a small shop so I m impressed by the fast turnaround there. They saved me roughly $600 over going to Seekins. They got my business.

Can't believe how fast they got my truck back to me with some definite issues. Made sure I was informed as a customer as to what was going on and what they could do to fix it. You can get it done elsewhere, or you can get it done right the first time at Ken's.

My roommate had an issue with the alignment on her car this past fall and when she took it in to Ken's the mechanics gave her a big long list of all the things wrong that she needed to fix--a list that was way longer than what actually needed to be done, or what she could afford. She took her car to another auto repair shop where they quoted her a much lower price for a lot less repairs (that actually needed to be completed).I also took my truck in for some replacement of the ball joints and realignment. I was told that the repairs would cost $2400 and they handed me a list of ten things that needed to be repaired. When I called for quotes from other auto companies, several asked me if I had been in an accident due to the list of things I was given--obviously Ken's Auto Repair tries to overcharge customers for work that does not need to be completed. I do not recommend this company to anyone due to the dishonesty.

What a wonderful experience! Everyone is very friendly, mechanics are extremely knowledgeable, and they are backed by NAPA. Best auto mechanics I've found in the Fairbanks area. My Jeep and I will be back for any of my autocare needs.

Shady bad business rip off artist extortionists. Do not bring your vehicle here. Brought in my car for a quote with nothing wrong with it to see if they were honest, got a $2000 quote for a whole new front end replacement.

My experience with Kens shop has been excellent. They are very accommodating, quick and reasonably priced. Ken will perform repair work on specialty vehicles that other shops are afraid to do, I Highly recommend Ken's Fairbanks Alignment.

They have been quick, and have done a good job every time I have been there. Very easy to work with and they usually set me up an appointment for the next morning after I call them. Prices have been competitive with other places in town, but still much quicker.
