I purchased studded tires from them about 4 years ago and have been going there every spring and fall for tire change over. On November 6th, I waited for 39 minutes and was out the door. Great service

I needed new winter tires suddenly, and they were able to get me in the same day. From calling for a quote to driving off with 4 new tires mounted and balanced was 1 hr total time. Very fair and straightforward quote and easy to work with. They offered a 10% discount for military on the tires, which I appreciated.

Excellent service excellent work. Best quote for quality brake rotors, pads and alignment. Very professional and personable. Will definitely bring them any future business.Edit: 6 months later two people, two different stories. First guy was ready to order parts and schedule but I wanted to wait until I was back in town to schedule. Hubby takes vehicle in and is told they don't do work

American Tire and Auto s customer service was fantastic. They shuttled me across town to and fro while I was getting my lift and tires put on. I highly recommend them for all of your tire and lift needs!

I came up from Delta to do a cash and carry for studded snow tires and rims. The price was good, however many of the studs after putting the tires on the rims were loose and not properly pressed. September is obviously not a good time to be thinking about tires. The staff are pressed hard from all the demand. Consider preempting the onset of winter and getting tires early.

I was completely satisfied with my experience here. Needed all four tires on my 2015 Z06 warranted and they got them in less than a week. I felt comfortable leaving my car with them and got it back in perfect condition. I checked my expensive rims very carefully and not a mark. Will use them again for sure.

I went to American Tire today went in thinking I was gonna get the Firestone destination XT and the Sales guy told me they didn t have them in the size I wanted so he looked in the system for ones in my size I wanted me found me the copper rugged and I absolutely FELL INLOVE I don t trust a lot of people with my wrangler but I TRUST THESE GUYS !!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME thank you again for calling me about my ID I left !!

They will only mount tires purchased through them or from a partner company they are in bed with, moving around constantly makes me not care about warranties of any kind so dont give me that, especially as I have never once seen an "American Tire" anywhere else so it wouldn't matter anyway. Also when they installed 2 tires on new wheels for Fix Auto they didn't even take the time to add air to equalize all pressure...so much for safety being top priority.

James is simply the best to ever do it! I ve been in Alaska for four years, and I m clearly aware that customer service sucks here. However, when you use James and his team at American Tire, you are instantly treated like royalty, and feel special from start to finish. I live two hours away, and traveled to Fairbanks in hope I d be taken care of. What happened blew my mind, and warmed my heart. James felt bad for me for driving so far, and moved me ahead of local patrons. Two days later, after spending $1400 on new tires, I had a flat after driving over a nail. I called in desperation, and they stayed after hours to receive me, and fixed my tire for free.If you re still reading, you clearly want to know that there is a tire store in Alaska you can trust. With James and his amazing team, you can relax knowing you have a friend in town who will always take care of you!Thanks, James!-Joey

Great service. Works with Enterprise and bills them directly when you rent with them. Did a great job with my slowly leaking tire and filled all my tires up without me having to ask.Nice waiting area. Could use a hook for my jacket but otherwise nice bathroom.

Even though i got there late(8am) and there were approximately 30 cars ahead of me, they got my tire swap done quickly. Price was competitive to all other tire swaps i have ever done. Folks at the counter were professional yet conversational and obviously have good relationships with their regular customers. The inside has ample seating and a decent sized tv to watch if you sit around waiting for your work to be done.

Always spot on and friendly. Even when I thought they gave us the wrong winter tires back, the service manager was very nice and patient with us as we figured out the issue.

Do not bring your vehicle here. I brought tires in to get changed over and they told me they wouldn't do it and just tried to up sell me on some new tires. Don't bring your vehicle here.

customer service was amazing, the only reason they got any stars. i was very happy until i get home and realized they mounted it backwords. you would expect people who work on tires all day to know they only go one way. i have never changed a tire in my life and even i knew this.

This tireshop very bad store I was changed 6tire but they are two different parts used I drive fairbanks to homer about 570mi one tire is no air I call them no answer live a message no return the call I go homer tireshop they said this is long parts used they put in light parts I pay $100 dollars you better don't go there free bad stores

I have to give this place a five star I made hundred miles away from home with two little girls driving with me. Tires kept losing air and I could not find specific tires for this car in Fairbanks. My Last Hope was American Tire although they didn't have this particular Tire they did do the research and found one that would work for this Ford Flex and got them on my car 10 hours and I was on the road heading home they're five-star comes from their Quick Service they're very friendly they got rid of my old tires for nine bucks. And they offered to research and see if they couldn't find some Network for me why the other companies didn't do that all they had was winter tires apparently that's Fairbanks for you in September LOL

Don t even waste your time or fuel driving here for any service, unless the service is mounting the tires THEY sold you.If you need a tire repaired they re more likely to tell you there s some reason they can t repair it and try and sell you a new tire.They tried to sell me two new tires, saying because they are steering tires (front) they need to be of the same tread pattern and same wear.I wouldn t be surprised if the sales counter person runs for political office sometime in the future, he can spread the bull with the best of them.I went about a 1/2 mile south to Purcell Tire and Service Center and for $20 they repaired my tire, American Tire quoted me $35.(So they are over priced too, not just shysters.)

Ordered blizzacs from them, they didn't have a size meant for my car so they went out of their way to order a different set just to try it on. Held the tires for a week since I was too busy to come in, and when I came to buy them, they had an open slot so they tried them on immediately. They insisted I not pay until after they were certain the tires would work for my car. Absolutely incredible, they were so friendly and super efficient too! I would absolutely go back, no wonder they're always busy!

I wish I could give 6 stars. Having a flat tire in the middle of winter on a Saturday morning is not a great way to start the day. The service was excellent. My tire was quickly repaired, they explained what caused the puncture, replaced the spare on my vehicle with my newly fixed tire, attached the spare to my vehicle, let me know that the sensor had been reconnected, asked if i had any questions, and requested that I contact them if I needed anything else. All of this while charging me a price that I was expecting to pay at least double for. Thank you for turning my Saturday around!

Won t mount new tires purchased from Amazon. Could have won a loyal customer but chose not to. Tire changes twice a year can add up. I really would love to shop local, I care about this community. But I ve got kids to feed, and you would make that $50 extra a tire in less than two years by not turning away customers. You aren t going to beat Amazon that way, the math doesn t work. Provide what Amazon can t, which is excellent customer service that wins loyalty. Missed the mark here.

Loved the service here. I wanted new tires for my Xterra, and the staff up front made sure I got the tires that fit my needs. The tires ride great and I noticed the improvement in the ice and snow immediately. I also had a light bar put in up front at the same time. It looked great and didn't bust the bank. Overall every single person was helpful and courteous. I will definitely use this place again.

Went over here to get my news hires mounted onto my new rims, and they wouldn't do it because they won't provide that service to someone who buys products online or from competitors. LOL okay buddy. If you're going to be butt hurt because I decided to get my products for the best price, you don't have to have my money for any other services either. We're good. And ps - no, the other places I went to did not quote me for double.

I did alignment there about a year ago and after the alignment nothing changed. The car continued to pull to the side. And also I came all the way from delta for the alignment and they told me "the mechanic didn't finish and left, so please come back tomorrow to pick up the car" so I had to go back to delta and come back the next day.

I made an order for a tire the 26th of April thinking it would be here in a couple of days. I called in a couple days later and I was told it could take 2 to 3 weeks for freight shipping. I was also informed after the fact that they would not install a replacement tire even though my other 3 are less than a year old. I understand if there is a liability issue but I wasn't told this when ordering the tire. I called and spoke with Clayton the next day to cancel the order and he said I could do that. He told me my original salesman Nathan would call back and if I wanted to take the weekend to think about it I could. I never received the call so I called in Monday morning to cancel and Jim told me they would keep the payment I put down. Jim then said my tire was in the warehouse and asked why I wanted to cancel and made it look like this was all my fault. All I wanted was a tire on my car. I ended up paying for the tire and taking it to a more trustworthy shop. I am not doing business here again. They will charge shipping, weight and balance fees, and a couple of small charges. Just be aware of what you are doing.

Very good experience! There is a nice waiting area with free coffee and water. Good reading material and they have a flat screen tv with cable on. The service was very professional and all the counter men and technicians were very courteous. Wait time for 4 new tires was short and the price was reasonable. Would recommend American Tire to anyone inquiring about tires and vehicular services...

Wish I could say something positive other than my tires work great, but the service was pretty terrible. Told us to come back in 2 1/2 hrs for the car and it ended up taking them over 6 hrs to switch tires. They repeatedly told us it was almost done and since we were counting on getting our car back when they said we would have it back ("at most 2 1/2 hrs") we had to wait there for hours. This place looks clean and has great floor tiles but I don't reccomend it unless you want to stare at said tiles for hours on end....

Ordered a set of wheels for my truck here and had them mounted and balanced. Took it home a noticed a shake in the steering wheel at 60mph. Took it back and explained it all and they said they would rebalance them free. 4 hours later the mechanic told me the wheels are balanced perfectly and that there is a problem with my truck. I told him it was nonsense as my truck never did that with the stock wheels. So I took my truck on fortwainwright and had the mechanic at the skills center rebalance all 4 wheels and now my truck drives perfect. I really think is a shady business and that they are trying to scam people with little mechanical knowledge to have parts replaced on their vehicle that need not replaced. I do not recommend!
