They have helped us out a lot. Any time we need our vehicle checked they have availability, top notch service, very good customer care and very knowledgeable on the information they are providing. Very pleased with their service

Kind of a hiccup in the beginning, but my truck is running very nice again after a intake manifold gasket replacement. Their complete kindness in offering rides home and back to their shop is a very wonderful blessing!! Looking over their billing, Everything looks as it should to the estimated repair cost. Thank you agains for your help with my vehicle. God bless!!

services are great! they got me in quick and changed my oil! They were able to drop me off at my house while they were changing the oil! I took my Kia Sorento to Eagle River Auto about 1 1/2 years ago and had my front brakes replaced. Did a great job and reasonably priced. Last Friday I was driving my Ford Focus from Anchorage to Big Lake when the tire sensor light started flashing. I was worried about what could happen so stopped at their shop and the owner had a tech come out and checked the tire pressure and assured me it was the battery in the tire sensor. I thanked them and asked how much I owed them. No charge. I will definitely use them for any repairs. Great shop!Service: Brakes

Had them replace the rear wheel bearings at a more reasonable price than the service department at the dealer. Rear wheels sound great again and they stand by their work!

I have only taken my truck to them twice (separate issues ) and they have always been great. Even when parts/pieces seemed like it would break the bank, ER Auto came though with the fix, and still made it affordable. They're my Go-to auto guys (and gals).

I took my vehicle to Eagle River automotive repair because my radiator was leaking and overheating. I only drove my vehicle five times on the fifth day is star overheating, and I was only less than a mile away from my home, and I live in the outskirts of the Matsu, valley. I was lucky enough that a friend of mine, who is a mechanic Was kind enough to look over it to see what was wrong with it? I told him that they replace the hose and I think the pump. In the end I had to buy a new radiator and he was kind of put it in for me. he was bringing it back to me and it started overheating. Less than a quarter mile from his home. So he took it back to his house and he expect it and come to find out that the a hose didn t have a clip and then and he also found other clips were loose. He aspiration were that they left loose so pressure was able to escape, and that the car was able to pass their pressure test.If you plan to take your vehicle there make sure you also plan taking it to other shop when they are done. I know it s a waste of money and time, but in the long run, you know the work will be done correctly.P.S.If it was my choice no stars.

I ve been using Eagle River Automotive for a number of years now after a bad experience at another shop. Always friendly and helpful. Willing to work with me on scheduling. Transmission replacement was delayed due to Alaska shipping, not their fault but communication was a little lacking when they were having manufacturer issues. Once the part was in the took care of it quick, but I'm not sure they test drove it before I picked it up as there were still problems with low end power, getting up to speed, transmission display, and no backup camera. They were easy to work with and got me right back in after the weekend, but we are now a week into "a day or two" ECM fix. I'd love to give them a higher rating but I'm now 3 months into a two week repair. Hopefully they are able to finish the project in a decent timeframe, but I know my friends that have been driving me around won't be using them any time soon.Service: Transmission replacement

I was a customer of the ER automotive just a couple of days ago. I am always amazed by their wonderful customer service, and their honesty. They are super accurate, give great advice and recommendations.I just wish that they would open another shop in Anchorage but in the meantime, I will always drive to Eagle River.Thank you so much for the service well done.

Got my winters tires switched over. As soon as I got home my back tire was leaking air. Called them right back, 20min before closing , and they said bring it in. Fantastic customer service. No one wants to work late, but I sure did appreciate it.Service: TiresService: Tires

Love ER AUTO! They are seriously the best. We tried a couple other places like Midas, Alaska Tire Service, Costco Tires, and Alyeska Tires, and while the other places had some pros and also cons, ER AUTO has had the BEST pricing, the BEST customer service, and the BEST scheduling!We love that we have been able to schedule FAR in advance for tire changeovers and don't have to wait on the phone for hours or call in 500 times as soon as it opens to try and schedule. They are always quick, and my kids love coming for their pets and their little hot cocoa/treat stand.Love them so much and don't want to go elsewhere!Services: Tires, Oil change

Scheduled for my truck to be brought in on November 2022 to get the electronics diagnosed (ECM/BCM), it sat outside untouched until Feb 2023. Various excuses were given to me including:- lead technician on vacation- lead technician headaches- lead technician sick- shop owner not in shop at the same time as lead technician multiple times- lack of proper toolsI also had stated a list of other repairs that were becoming an issue, including replace after market ignition harness with OEM, oil cooler line leak, grounding issues for side step, hard shifting with intermittent traction control issues, speedometer reset to 0 while parked (it was reading -25mph of actual speed, even at 0 it read -25mph).When I picked up my truck on March 28, 2023 (4 months later), it seemed the only thing that was completed was the BCM replacement and fluid leaks repaired. For a total of $6,215. The lightbar and side steps didn t work anymore (never hooked back up to power), truck overheated after about 10 miles because the coolant was 1.5 gallons low, the hard shifting started after about 30 miles, and the speedometer still read -25mph.I was told by the shop owner that I would be able to bring it back to get those issues looked at again when it was convenient for me, which I agreed to. I called when it was convenient, another receptionist answered and I could hear the owner talking in the background, and after a short dialogue, the receptionist stated that I would have to schedule an appointment at least 1.5 weeks out This was one of the most stressful auto repairs that I ve been a part of, both while it was in the shop, and driving my repaired vehicle afterwards. With the cost of rental vehicles for 4 months and the actual repairs, I could ve put a 25% down payment on a brand new truck. Hindsight I guess. I can now say that I would rather buy a new truck than bring something to these guys to fix.My rating would be 1-star, but at least they got it running again for $6200.Edit: They also completed a total front end replacement, but their alignment, even after new parts were installed, took 2 full days because they said they normally don t do alignments on lifted trucks. Lifted or not lifted, big tires or regular tires, an alignment with new steering components shouldn t take 10+ hours.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

Recommended that friends have a noise diagnosed at Eagle River automotive. Issue was not diagnosed and was double charged. Do not recommend. This shop is not honest. Attempted to talk to manager at shop and was given the email me your concerns response. Feels like some one trying to dodge responsibility.

RUDE!!! Called to get my car scheduled (Just Scheduled) for some work. Was cut off mid sentence with "No that's not going to happen I'm closing the shop in 5 minutes"...I called at 530pm their website says they close at 6pm. (Someone sounds like an over achiever) This company just lost my business and any future business I might of had for them.

Can I start by saying they have a wall full of pictures and awards celebrating their mechanics racing abilities. That certainly engenders confidence. Anyone who can keep a race car running is welcome to take care of my rides.They offer full mechanical services and routine oil and filter changes. Call ahead but they have always tried to squeeze us into their schedule.Really friendly folks, locally owned and operated located right in the heart of Eagle River.

Poor Business PracticesBrought my car here for the starter to be replaced. About 2 weeks later, on the day I was supposed to pick the car up, I received a call that the shifter cable broke and had to be replaced. I was ensured multiple times that this part had absolutely nothing to do with the original repair and was not the mechanic's fault. Therefore, I paid for the shifter cable to be replaced. About 2 weeks later the shifter cable broke again, was able to bring the car to the shop after hours where I met another mechanic that I struck up a very interesting conversation with. He told me that the mechanic that worked on the car told him that it is IMPOSSIBLE to change the starter without breaking the shifter cable!!!(he assumed I didn't pay for the repair) I replied "Why would he lie about this??" Answer: Because ER automotive does not pay their mechanics labor to replace parts that they break while fixing your car. So of course I can see a scenario in which a mechanic would claim it was not his fault because who wants to work for free... Now I am forced to wait for a mechanic that has already broke my car to fix the same part and wondering if the excuses on why the car is not ready is fact or fiction. The only reason I leave a 2 star instead of 1 is that the front office is very caring about my frustrations, and I feel they genuinely care for their customers. They are at the mercy of a system that promotes deception to maintain a steady check. The mechanic deceives the front desk and the front desk takes that deception and feeds it to the customer. Vicious cycle.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A good place to serve a vehicle. I replaced tires here. Was told to come at 8 am was indeed the first in line, the car was taken in at once, and the waiting time was minimal. The price was right as well.Not only they changed tires, but also made a full (and free) check-up. Good experience.Service: Tires

We had a valve stem fail on the way to Anchorage. We made it to Eagle River Automotive, and they got us in, fixed up, and back on the road in less than 40 minutes. Very happy with our experience; we'll be keeping them in mind for future repair needs!

I brought a vehicle I was considering purchasing here for an inspection. Scheduling was very easy and they were able to get me in almost immediately. They were very helpful and thorough and gave me great additional advice outside of the general inspection. Price was very reasonable.

Needed an oil and tire change as well as a rotor check so I made an appointment. Despite all the COVID regulations changing the way they operate; it was a pleasant and fast exchange. The couple people I spoke with were friendly and helpful.Very pleased with my experience here and I will be returning for future work.My Escape is purring like a kitten again, thanks to all the associates and mechanics!

I called over 6 businesses to get a tire repaired/plug. No one would get in unless I dropped off tire by itself. This shop was able to get me in and fix issue right away at a reasonable price. Additionally, they are military friendly and cordial!Service: TiresService: Tires

Great experience great service. I had them replace catalytic converter on my vehicle almost a year ago and something failed on it check engine light came back on with the catalytic code. I called them up told them about the issue and they said it was no problem at all. They fix the catalytic converter under warranty with no charge to me and even did a diagnostic on some other issues I had on the vehicle.
