Was a little bit disappointed when I showed up for my appointment just to be told the tires never made it to the shop and had to reschedule the appointment. Clear communication is important and it appears that was lacking here. Procedures should be in place the day before to verify any tires coming from their warehouse actually arrive for upcoming appointments...

Excellent price and great service. Got exactly what I needed. Only complaint is that they forgot to call me when my order was completed, had to wait an additional day following tire work. Would recommend, excellent price point on new winter tires.

I've been buying tires from and getting change overs done at Alaska Tire in Eagle River for many years. No more. I'd rather drive into Anchorage than give them anymore business. I have a brand new set of tires I bought from them that I cant even get scheduled for a change over. Their phone appointment system during change over season is completely unhelpful and absolutely archaic.

We have been using Alaska tires for over a year and a half and I am done. Their system for calling and trying to schedule a tire. Changeover is ridiculous. It's like we're all kids again. Trying to call into a radio contest. I spend every morning waking up during the season, just a call them and get a busy signal for 20 minutes or even 30 minutes. The only deal was convenient for them and they put us customers in the worst situation. It drives me nuts. I am so tired of not being able to schedule one of the main purposes of going there. They make us fight and clamor for very limited spots. They used to let you walk in and try to get a spot too, but now they don't allow that. We're done going with them. Any other place in town or an Anchorage will let you schedule out and at least guarantee you a spot. I'm tired of wasting my mornings and not even getting a human being on the phone. Also half the time I go there to get a oil change or to switch my tires over somebody sits in my car and gets an oil grease stain on the upholstery. I'm tired of them leaving greasy marks and stains in my car. I used to really like them and they were very friendly. We started off using the Anchorage Southside location and they were great but we've been really unhappy with the Eagle River.

Good fast service, mind you it s the middle of January but I called today to get new studded tires and they got me right in and out in 30 minutes!

Myself and a friend went here to get tires put on rims and get the wheels mounted on the vehicle. We were denied service because they said that the tires we wanted to use wouldnt be safe and in order to avoid liability. So for safety reasons they wouldn't put them on the vehicle and they wouldn't even put them on the rims for me. Due to their safety concerns I had to leave on these tires which have steel band showing through the rubber and there about to pop any second.. I've included pictures of the tires that were on the vehicle that we had to drive away with and also pictures of the tires that we wanted to get mounted... To summarize I'm pretty disappointed with the service that we received today.

I bought over $900.00 ,of tires from them a year ago. And now having them put on again. And my tires sensor light comes on and it wasn't a problem before. Until they screwed around with the sensors. Then when I called to explain it to them. They said I was talking over them w,stem I couldn't explain it and they Hong up on me.

Went in on a Monday to get winter tires and they were able to not only have winter tires in stock in December but got me in the next day to install them!!! Great people from the front door all the way into the shop. Will be going back for more tires and other preventative maintenance in the future for sure.

They dont feel very transparent about their work. Went in for a tire change to my winter tires. They broke a Tpms and they replaced it free of charge (which they were transparent about). I drove away that night and my Tpms light came on. All tire pressure read fine when I looked at it but I did notice a cap missing. So I drove back to their shop in morning. When they checked it out they confirmed that the tire pressure was all okay but they couldn't get a read on 3 of my sensors. So I had to make an appointment to come back AGAIN in the late afternoon so they could see if the 3 Tpms were broken (which would be on them) or just died on their own and needed to be plreplaced. After the appointment I was shown the parts and the broken part from yesterday and shown that the 3 just removed were not "broken". They comped the cost of labor but I was still charged the almost $150 for the TPMS as well as the $100 I paid for the tire change over the pervious day.I was they told on this second visit that my winter tires they just put on were .9" too small. And they recommend getting new tires (I hadn't just spent enough with them). upon further inspection of the paperwork when I got home, I noticed a note saying "ATS will note be able to install tires in the future". I had to call them back for further clarification and ask them why this was not a note after my initial tire change over the appointment or mention in person when I just had the conversation with them about the tires being smaller. The only explanation they could give was "it was missed last time" & "theyI'm not one to normally write reviews but i cant help feel icky about the how everything went down. I am very suspicious about the fortuitous timing of my TPMS dying and there lack of do diligence and communication. Thought I would warn others to have your wits about you if you use ATS and if you don't know much about cars... go somewhere eles that you can walk away trusting

Alaska tire in Eagle river used to be outstanding. But has become the worst tire shop ever. I only use it now when I just have to and its horrible every time I do, tires even with all the appointment take for ever to get done, And only 50 percent the time done right and not needing to be rebalanced. They can not keep help and the technicians they have a fair at best, you pay a lot of money for tires these days but the service just gets worse and worse. I recommend any tire shop but this one. I have had multiple vehicles service there like 4 them and its not even worth dealing with this place anymore.

Always a great experience at Alaska Tire! The service is fast and staff is very knowledgeable. I have been super happy with my tire purchase and tire change. Definitely recommend them!

Avoid that place. Guy told me that they can t fix my tire unless I take it out from the truck and bring it by myself - LOL. It s winter in Alaska and you ask ME to lift my truck by myself, detach the wheel and bring it to you?? Are you insane?? I went to other place and it was done in 15 minutes and they THANKED me for coming.

Left my car filthy after a tire change over. I made sure to wipe down the tire bags before putting them into the car. The employees clearly put the bags on the floor then when placing the tires back in the car got the car filthy from the hatch back all the way up to the back of the front seats has dirt and mud splatter all over the car where it was spotless as this is a rental vehicle and is always clean. Leo was not interested in my complaint; I did not curse I said nothing derogatory nothing out of line.. Leo Hung up on me. This company is not interested in customer service. When I called back to cancel my previous purchase; Leo tried to be customer service savvy. Until the cancellation Leo did not care about my issues. They have raised their prices and the service has declined. My car is muddy and dirty all over the inside after a tire change over. the employees at this company JUST DON'T CARE. Last fall, when getting my tires changed over to the studded tires, the hub caps were placed back on the car covering the valve stems. I had to take the car back in to get the hub caps placed on correctly so I could air up the tires. The quality of work at this company; all locations, has declined and the prices have risen. There are better prices and better service providers available in Anchorage for tire needs. I recommend avoiding this place. Quality in work is declining steadily and prices are rising consistently. Alaska Tire Service is not worth the extra costs. With the decline in service this company shows that customers don't matter to their business. After starting the cancellation; then Leo offered to have my car cleaned; there was absolutely no cooperation from Leo until after he hung up on me and I called back to cancel my tire orders. When I told him I wanted to cancel the order; then he offered to get my car clean and everything he should have done during the first call; Too Little,Too late. I will buy tires for my 9 vehicles from any other company.

I had a pretty big tire issue with my motorhome, they were super helpful, fantastic service and was willing to go out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. To top it off, they had fantastic prices of the new tires they sold me.Fast forward 4 years and once again Alaska tire service goes waaay above and beyond in customer service. I had forgotten my wallet at home and was changing over to winter tires on my suburban plow truck. The counter girl allowed me to PayPal her the money and she paid for the tire changeover. Nobody does that anymore but Alaska tire service. Amazing job yet again guys!

Great place, staff is always friendly and provide amazing service. They're usually super busy though so just make sure to book far in advance and be patient getting in during changeover time of year

Made a mistake by trying to come here again. Last year I had to get the same tire repaired 3 times over the course of a week every time the tire had a leak in a different place This year upon taking my vehicle in they said the new pair of tires I purchased last year were already in bad condition. I also noticed that 4/7 of the other folks in the shop all had some sort of problem with there tires. I will never be taking my vehicle here again. They try to sell everyone on purchasing new tires. S and P in eagle river is a far better option.

Not only did they fix my tire quicker than I expected, but it also cost way less than I was fearing. Definitely coming back here!

It is Hard to get in to a good tire service during change over season, I tried calling at 08:00 for a week. After speaking with a polite customer service person she informed me that the easiest way to get a next day appointment was to come in at 08:00 and set it up in person. That worked just fine and I was able to drop my truck off the get the tires changed. I ve used their services numerous times and each time it has been as pleasant as expected. They do what they say they will do and they treat each customer with respect and dignity.Thank you ATS.Keep it up.

Consistently attentive and friendly staff. I ve had tire change over service at least 3 times with them and it is usually fairly quick. I find the booking policy challenging - I believe you can only book day-of (you have to call early AM to get a spot before it fills up and/or call throughout the day in the hopes someone canceled). I wish they allowed booking up to at least 7 days out so it was more accommodating to schedule around a busy work schedule. Other than the booking policy, very happy with my experiences here.

Took a while to get an appointment but it was tire season, haha. I got to the appointment on time. My tires were swapped over in about 28minutes. Great service, good waiting area for kids, they have a TV in the waiting room too. Everyone was professional, welcoming and polite. In the last year or two the price has jumped from less than $80, to this spring (2022) being $92. That is for tires not on rims getting them swapped over and balanced.Overall, great service. The service maybe a little bit on the high side monetarily but I d rather pay a little bit more, have great service and drive away knowing I won t have problems with my tires!

The best!! Not only do they give Fast service with great customer relations from the garage to the front counter, they are in my neighborhood and they always make it easy! Yesterday in particular was pretty fabulous! You always have the dreaded feeling when you go up to pay and they have one of your tires, in this case, they showed me the tire and how it had a rip where the tire connects to the rim! I waited for it and the young man at the counter told me that they will be replacing my tire free of charge because I get my tires taken care of at their shop all the time it had to have been done when they last put them on! Just one more reason to love Alaska Tire!

Me going was my first time and I loved the service I received! The guys were very straightforward and honest. They were not like most auto shops that try to take advantage of you to get more money. They told me what was wrong with my vehicle just from getting a tire balance and rotation. They helped me solve a big problem and went the extra mile of letting me know instead of having me get an inspection on my vehicle! 10/10 would recommend.

I am so disappointed with the tire change over system that Alaska Tire has for Eagle River residents. I have bought my tires here for all of my cars and can not get an appointment to get them changed over. I understand that everyone wants tires changed when it snows but having to call back through 1.5 hours of busy signals, to finally get in the que and wait 20 minutes on hold to just be told sorry no appointments is ridiculous. I want to support local but they have no capacity and a system that wastes everyone's time. Cant management create an online booking service? Feels like they will sell you tires they cant put on the next year. I am 2 hours later and frustrated.

Had family move up from Texas and in preparation for their first winter in Alaska visited Alaska Tire Service quite clueless as to what they needed. Staff was knowledgeable and informative on all aspects of their needs and got us exactly what we needed. Great work, they will continue to get my families business moving forward. Thanks

$190 to de-stud winter tires and have them mounted. Before I left, I checked the work. Two hubcaps were loose. The nice things are that the tires are properly balanced, TPMS works, and it was same day service.

I've been going to Alaska tire and he whoever for 5 years. I purchased several sets of tires and had repairs done on others. They've always been prompt, and seem to do what's best for the customer and not the bottom line... Not replacing 4 tires when you only need 2. I've moved about 40 miles away, but they are still my first choice!

Shopped around several different places for tires for my truck. Once I decided on tires I wanted, I called ATS and scheduled an appointment. They had the tires I wanted in stock at the shop and were able to fit me in that afternoon. I over heard several people in the waiting room complain about scheduling, took them over a week to get in. I guess I got lucky. Took the service team about 45 minutes to pull off my winter tires and install new summer tires.
