Brought a vehicle in with a hatch latch issue. Technician resolved that thank you. Oil change was very reasonable. Thank you. Was reported that the rear brake pads were completely gone but could be fixed for nearly $600. Got home. The rear pads were in great shape. So were the fronts. no brake issue whatsoever

Plus: The staff is friendly. They provided an estimate over the phone when I made my appointment and the repair was what they quoted.Minus: I brought my 04 Tacoma in because of an antifreeze leak near the thermostat. They replaced the thermostat, but said the leak might also be from the water pump but they were unsure. They could have tested the thermostat to see if it was failing, but they didn t and I guess they just tossed it in the garbage. That would have answered at least one question, that the cause of the leak was or wasn t the thermostat. Now, whenever I drive the truck I have to check to see if the water pump is leaking, at least until I can prove it is/is not leaking. In short, when I drove away I wasn t sure if they diagnosed and fixed the problem correctly.

Had an amazing experience here today. I walked in on Friday with my 2013 Scion FR-S pleading for them to take me for an oil change on Monday and to use my own supplies. I'm on a huge road trip from Philadelphia and my car is heavily modified. After himming and hawing for a little bit, Aaron eventually relented in letting me use my own supplies and fitting me in at 8 AM Monday. I made sure to show up early this morning and Aaron was there to greet me. During the appointment we chatted about cars and my travels and had a great time while his tech did great work checking everything on my car and delivering me a full report. I really appreciated everything they did for me considering I'm not a loyal customer and probably won't be back unless the urge to drive to Alaska comes over me again (it could happen!). It's nice to see that there are good businesses and even better people out there. I highly recommend this shop for their customer service and knowledge of Subaru/Toyota/Scions. Used A&A team to conduct overall vehicle inspection before selling my truck. Very thorough! Additionally, I was able to witness the customer interaction over the phone and in person with multiple customers as I waited for my vehicle. Super professional and attentive to customer concerns. This is the best Subaru repair shop I've ever worked with, and I've been driving Subarus for 46 years. They are friendly, professional and reasonably priced. The mechanics are skilled and really know their stuff. Don't take your Subaru any place else.

Aaron and Zack did a great job getting our 2008 4runner fuel pump fixed and identifying and rectifying several other problems that had crept in with hard winter use in Alaska. Their A&A shop in Eagle River is very convenient for us and all of our 3 Toyota vehicles will be going there in the future. Zack is a highly trained and talented professional. Service is always outstanding, and the appointment timing was great. They are one of the few business that will let you schedule a tire changeover appointment well ahead of time, and that keeps me coming back year after year.

We ve taken our Subarus to A&A for years because they do such a great job.This time my check engine light came on and said I needed to check the emissions control system and the vehicle dynamics system.We made an appointment to drop off the car, within and hour they called with needed repairs and the cost. Got me in quick, diagnosed the issue accurately and installed new rotors and pads on my 2016 Highlander. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't trust most mechanic shops, preferring to do things myself, but a current issue kept me from tackling the job myself. A&A The Shop in Eagle River didn't try any nonsense. They've earned my trust and future business. Genuinely friendly guys too!Service: Brakes

Reasonably quick to get an appt, friendly. That's where the positive ends. Went for a transmission issue diagnosis; not only was their fix (a new oil pressure sensor) ineffective but they also tried selling me on replacing unrelated parts, at a 200% markup over ordering from the dealer! What's worse is these parts weren't defective to begin with! If you're gullible and hate money, take your car here.

Very happy I discovered this shop through a mailer sent to our house. We live in wasilla so having to drive into anchorage for Subaru dealership service sucks. We visited for an oil change and I'm super thankful they take appointments and stand by them! We were able to drop our car off and walk to the local coffee shop with our kiddos for a bit. These guys are super quick and great customer service. Being able to get in and out within an hour and know that my car is being handled by someone who knows what they're doing is huge. This will definitely be our go to business or all our future subaru needs. I'm also pleased that they offer coupons. :-D

Always friendly and prompt. We ve been going there for about 8 years with my Forester and added a Sequoia since they repair Toyotas as well now. They ve always been honest and kept to their quotes for any repairs.

Took my Subaru to A&A for 114K service. Vehicle has ALWAYS been serviced at an authorized Subaru dealership until this visit and I will stick with A&A going forward. We took my wife s baby 2000 Subaru Outback to A & A The Shop in Eagle River Alaska to take car of some deferred maintenance which I was not skilled at performing. Aaron, was very helpful with creating the work order which fit our budget and priorities and quickly set about taking care of the work that same day. (Lucky for us, there was a cancellation which allowed for us to get seen right away). Aaron and Zack communicated with us via text during the work and we had our car back out before closing time. Their price was fair and actually came in below the estimate. While we we settling up, Aaron went over the inspection report with us and we scheduled for some follow up work. We will continue to go back to see them since they are so attentive, skilled, accommodating, and nice to work with. Fortunately for us, they are just down the road so I could even walk there if necessary if I needed to pick the car up. Give them a shot guys, I m sure that you will be very pleased with the outcome. I also see that they service Toyotas. Thanks A & A! Truly enjoyed my experience with A&A. We got a 120 K service done on our tundra. Aaron at the front was very knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and explained everything that would be done and was very prompt with returning calls and getting us a quote. The job took a little bit longer than expected due to staffing and parts delay but they made it right and were very apologetic. Would highly recommend A&A!

A&A is hands down the place to go for Subaru maintenance and repairs. The staff is efficient and professional and above all, kind. They sincerely care that they are providing exceptional service and it shows in the quality of their work. 10/10 would recommend to anyone from a quick oil change (they even have a punch card!) to more serious repairs (which were completed ahead of time and under budget). It is so wonderful to have a team of mechanics that I trust and love working with. I called for an appointment to get my oil changed. I casually mentioned I needed new tires, but knew A&A didn't sell them. I was delighted they were able to recommend and buy tires, then mount them after my oil change. During routine diagnostics, they also noticed my seven year old battery was weak and had a replacement they could put in while I was there. It is so nice to have so many services offered in one visit!Services: Tires, Battery, Oil change

Prior to taking my car here, it always felt that as a woman I would get taken advantage of when it came to maintenance and repairs. I just wanted to find a reputable shop with trustworthy mechanics to get the job done without getting the run around. Initially I came here because of convenience instead of going to the dealership. It didn't take me long to realize that Zack and his employees are genuine, honest and knowledgeable. In the last 6 years as a customer, I know that I can definitively trust in them to take care of my car without trying to upsell me or recommend services that I do not need. I would not trust my Subaru to anyone else and I am just so grateful to them!Service: Oil change

I ve been going to A&A in Eagle River for a good number of years now and it s always been a good experience. Always very professional, honest, friendly and do quality work. They ve gone above and beyond to get me in for emergencies and they will treat your car like their own. It seems to be harder and harder to find good trustworthy repair shops but A&A is definitely one of the good ones.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A&A evaluated check engine light illumination and recommended replacement of cracked exhaust manifold at $4200.Went to Subaru dealer who recommended replacement of oxygen sensor set at $800. Had dealer replace set of oxygen sensors, and no further problem. Seems like a colossal mis-diagnosis from A&A.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
