Amazing place! We were in the market only for safety gear for our young kids and their new dirt bike. They were super welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about motor bikes. Lots of safety gear upstairs, and the worked very well with our 8 and 9 year old. Even though we owned a Honda CRF50F (they are not a Honda dealer), they were more than willing to answer even basic questions without making you feel bad. My family is totally new to the dirt bike world, and that helped put us at easeAs the dad of daughters, I also loved how half the staff was women. My 9 yr old daughter could see this was a sport for her too. When she got her gear, she raised it up high and said - "Girl Power!"Love it! Will totally do business again!

Worked with Alex and Andrew last week to get myself and my daughter new bikes. They made sure we were well taken care of. They treated my daughter well, answered questions, made suggestions and found what s best for her.After we purchased the bikes we went upstairs to look at safety equipment. Once again, they took the time to have her try on multiple helmets, boots, jackets, gloves etc. they did try and sell the most expensive items. They had her try on all the options, talked to her about how and why things should fit. I ve been around motorcycles my whole life and I even learned a lot.This place is obviously lead by a great team and it shows.

The service department here is awesome. I rode up to AK from the lower 48 before riding to Deadhorse and they were able to fit me in for a service and tire change.The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and overall really great to work with.I ve had some bad dealer experiences on my trip and these guys have been by far the best.

Most Polite, professional group of guys! There not pushy like the typical car salesman.. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he s a serious rider and enthusiast! Got me into a bike I never dreamed of being a reality and ended up closing on a deal with one!! Not to mentioned he s met Obi-Wan Kenobi and Charlie Boorman highly recommended, you won t be disappointed even if you re just there to browse(drool). Thanks guys I really appreciate your help!

Update Winter 2023: Even through winter The Motorcycle Shop's service deptartment has gone above and beyond. It's so cool that they offer transportation to and from The Motorcycle Shop. My S1K was picked up, serviced and brought back in a timely manner. The sales staff and parts department is just as enthusiastic, as the the day I took delivery. Awesome This place is INCREDIBLE! They have a fantastic selection to choose from. There's no other store like it, in the state. This place puts motorcycles first. Other shops prioritize side by sides, boat motors, generators and snow machines etc... My salesman Alex, the parts department & service department are amazing! I'm really excited to be using this location for my sales and service needs. It's really cool how the staff here, matches the same kind of "positive high energy excitement" that coincides with a motorcycle purchase that continues after the sale. I had a TON of questions for parts and service, even I would had been slightly annoyed if I was them lol.... ALL of my questions, were met with quick correct answers. Which was a testament, to the level of professionalism these employees I came in contact exbit. The parts and service department even took me down to see my BMW for the very first time, while Darren was doing the pre delivery inspection. I really appreciate everyone who was involved with getting my 2022 BMW S1000RR on the road.....oh yeah I forgot to mention that they sell BMW & Ducati Lego Technic sets. Very cool

Bought 6 bikes to ride from Alaska to Argentina from this shop and the service was fantastic! Special thanks to Andrew who did everything for our trip to start smoothly :) Definately recommend to buy your bikes from here if you need one in Alaska.

Having bought my first new bike here earlier in the year and having the first service done. I must say the sales, service, and parts depts are all very outstanding people. Purchasing the bike was quick and painless as has buying parts. The service dept is awesome and their cabin for waiting on your service to be completed is absolutely amazing. I live in Anchorage but it was still nice to be able to have a comfy place to hang out while waiting for bike to be completed. Nothing but good things to say

We were traveling and the service dept worked my friends F800GS and my Africa Twin in for service. The F800GS needed rear hub and bearings as the totally worn out. The AT needed fork seals and rear tire. Great people to work with, wonderful showroom.

I was riding my F800 GS from the lower 48 and had a major bearing failure. The service and parts department were incredible in fitting me in their busy schedule and back on the road. I couldn't be happier!!

I had my KTM 1190 ADV R serviced here and they always do an excellent job! Overall, it s the best motorcycle shop/dealer I ve seen. I ve lived and utilized dealers in seven different states over the past 30+ years.

Such a great atmosphere compared to the other power sports places in alaska. Alex Reimer helped my son with his dirt bike and the sale experience and help was top notch. I highly recommend Alex and The Motorcycle Shop!!

Excellent experienceWe arrived under rain with our 4 bikes at the shop and needed to do tire changes.We were excellently treated by Sarah in parts which got out tires ordered over the 4th of July weekend, by John in services who changed our tires and by a number of other folks who we interacted with.We also enjoyed the excellent cabin that Don put at our disposal while we waited for the service to finish.After being in the road for over 3 weeks it is great to feel part of the motorcycle community by being so well treated.For us from the lower states, the prices may seem high but we have to remember these folks have a short window to do business in and logistics costs are much higher.After the service we got, all I can say is stop and support these folks for they give us the chance to live our dreams by being there to help and support us when we need it.Carpe Diem !

Fantastic shop! These folks do a great job helping out folks traveling through AK. awesome techs and very happy with service performed, they also have a very well stocked parts shop and the showroom is massive and fun to wander through. Oh, and the log cabin waiting room is very cool as well

To start with their Inventory has more beautiful bikes of several manufacturers than I had cash for unfortunately. The same can be said with all their riding gear, and parts.Their sales people were extremely friendly and refreshingly not the type that swoop down and pressure you. They are very knowledgeable and are ready to answer all your questions.My overall experience with this outstanding organization couldn t have gone any better, I got the Motorcycle I ve been looking for, at a great price.If you re in the market for a New Motorcycle, visit the Motorcycle Shop first, you won t regret it.

This was my first bike purchase and they couldn't have been more helpful. I purchased the Ninja 400 Alex ran down stairs for me and let me know they had the color I wanted still in the crate. Alex and Andrew even helped me with the troubles I was having at the bank to get everything squared away and get me a brand new bike. Overall their customer service goes above and beyond and they have a great selections of bike to look at and chose from. You guys have my business for years to come, thank you.

This post is a retraction to an earlier review. 2020 has been a time of change for many us and my experience at the motorcyle shop the last couple of days has been amazing. The new service manager is a really nice and competent guy. The work was professional and efficient. I could not be happier. The owner spent a lot of time with us as well and really helped us decide on a new bike. We look forward to making a purchase this winter.

Made purchasing my first motorcycle a fun and easy experience. Took almost no time to fill out the paperwork and they promptly let me know when it was ready for pickup. JJ and the rest of the staff were incredibly patient and helpful picking out gear and answering all my questions.

My entire experience of purchasing a bike and Timbersled through The Motorcycle Shop was all remote over the phone/email. They didn t make it feel that way at all! The assistance and customer care I was provided was nothing short of exceptional. I had several upgrades and modifications completed to the bike by the shop. Photos were sent when requested and they were very prompt getting answers back. They are a very professional shop with excellent customer care. I would recommend them to anyone.

I went in to pick up parts for my bike, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice tyler at parts was! He went tru the list of things I had ordered and double checked everything! He made sure I had all the right parts and gave me a box to put them all in,He even carried my parts to my truck for me. The store was clean and the employee who helped me was very kind.

Update as of 25MAY22I recently had to file a warranty claim for an item on my motorcycle. I reached out to the Parts Department and spoke with Jon. He was awesome and is an exemplary example of the team!I told Jon what the issue was regarding the part failure. I live in Homer so he worked with me regarding the use of pictures rather than forcing me to drive up to Anchorage for their hands on inspection.The part recently came in and the Parts Team mailed my part down to me rather than forcing me to me drive up. The part arrived in excellent condition and everything occurred in an extremely acceptable time!Well done Jon and the Parts Department Team!(Original Post April 2022)Overall, I m thoroughly impressed with The Motorcycle Shop as a whole.I purchased a new BMW motorcycle last fall and appreciated the level of communication, coordination, and professionalism. I was able to conduct most of my purchase remotely so that when I arrived in town then it was easy to pick up my motorcycle.I purchased a set of riding clothes such as jacket, pants, and helmet. I worked directly with he Parts Manager and she was a wealth of information regarding riding gear. I received assistance such as hooking up my Cardo to my helmet. Small things like that go a long way with me.Finally, I recently took my motorcycle up for it s first servicing. I held off on posting my reviews until I experienced the last part of the shop. To me, the Service Department, stands heads and shoulders above any other service department that I ve gone to. Extremely proficient, very professional, and great attitudes were all displayed by the Service team. Lastly, the Service Department setup a great waiting area which includes plenty of seating, tables to work at, outdoor seating on the deck, WiFi, and snacks.

Super impressed with this shop. Great customer service at all aspects of the store-parts/service/sales. Had my 1998 Kawasaki Bayou worked on and they were fast, knowledgeable, and costs were on point- also kept me up-to-date with quote and costs. I will definitely be returning and referring my friends. Thanks for keeping my fish camp machine in great shape!

I just stopped by looking for mx boots. Before coming in, I was considerably confused about my sizing and the difference between brands, etc.. Hayden from parts assisted me, and helped me find boots near my guesstimated size to try on, and even offered for me to sit on one of their showroom bikes to get a better feel for the boot and it s positioning. He was helpful, kind, and patient as he helped me narrow my search for the correct boot style and size for my needs. Thank you Hayden and thank you Motorcycle Shop for being amazing!!

We bought our first Teryx through Andrew! He was great. The process was easy and pain free. Once we knew what we wanted we were able to do it all over the phone and email. He was not pushy. Andrew asked us if we had questions or needed anything then he let us do our thing. I don't like pushy people or being rushed and I didn't feel that at all going into the motorcycle shop. This will be my go to shop if I ever need anything else kawasaki related. They are so friendly and helpful.
