Incredible service and people working at this company! Had a great opportunity to meet everybody individually and I was very surprised how good this team is. Best rental company I ever had to deal with. Bravo! 10/10.

Extremely happy with our 15 day Jeep Compass rental from Go North. The car was very new, clean, and well equipped. It was expensive, but everything in Alaska is and it's worth the peace of mind to have a reliable vehicle. We went with them because they don't have road restrictions. The only drawback is that the rental time pick up and return operates on a 24 hour clock, not by day. So if you pick up at 10am, it'll be due back at 10am or else there's late charges. Also, they caution that they'll charge if the car is returned with anything more than "minor" dirt. We camp (there's mud, wood, and everything else). So we spent the time and money to go to a car wash and vacuum and wash the car before returning to avoid additional charges. Their staff was super friendly and helpful. I love that you can rent additional items from them (cooler, bear spray, etc.). Also, they have a community pantry section in the store where you can leave un-used items and take what you need which is very nice. Overall, very happy with our rental from Go North.

Go North made our entire trip possible with their affordable van rental. Super friendly staff and a quick check-in/check-out process. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again for our future travels!

We had a once in a lifetime trip to Alaska, made possible by GoNorth. Our truck + camper was perfectly stocked and the staff at GoNorth were incredibly kind and helpful during pickup & drop off. Traveling via camper maximizes what you can see in Alaska - highly recommend!!

I rented a Ford Expedition from GoNorth on a recent vacation with my family of five. The vehicle was clean and ran great. Getting the reservation setup was easy. I chose GoNorth because they allow you to drive on the many gravel/dirt roads in Alaska. I will return to them because of the excellent experience I had. Jon Knight and Alex Vajdic got me all set up when I picked up the vehicle. They made us feel like family. They gave us a lot of great advice (first trip to Alaska) and made us feel very comfortable. Returning the car was as easy as picking it up. They young man who helped me on the return was wonderful as well.If you need a rental car while in Alaska you should definitely check them out!

The service is top-notch and the Motorhoms are well-equipped. If you wish to explore the North, it s hard to find another company that is equally good in terms of service, shape of the vehicle and also allows to drive on gravel roads.

I had a poor experience with GoNorth in August, 2022. First the rental RV has a leaky roof. It made the trip in rainy Alaska very unpleasant. Second, GoNorth lacks a sense of urgency to get the problem fixed. It took 18 days to resolve the issue. That involves change of our itinerary, paying cancellation penalty of campgrounds and activities. And we had to make an extra trip to their Anchorage shop to fix the roof leak. After all the trouble we endure, they are not willing to compensate for our losses. I will not recommend this rental company.

It was wonderful to rent a vehicle from them but when my trip was cut short due to fires closing North Klondike Highway. I was going to my destination in Dawson City, I had to go back to Whitehorse and leave town. The company REFUSED to give partial of my money back when I was supposed to use it for 2 weeks. They kept my other half of money that went not used when I had to leave. I only used the car for a week. They only care about keeping money and screwing their customers when they don't use it full two weeks per agreement. I would recommend NOT to use their service no matter if you had a death in family or seriously injury. It would have been 5 stars if they gave partial reimbursement but they do not believe in guests' safety, they just want to keep YOUR money! BE WARY OF THEM!!!

Loved renting a car through Go North! The entire process was so seamless. 1. It was the cheapest rate we got for a nice Jeep Cherokee during Covid when car rentals were extremely limited. Other car rental companies were charging upwards of $3k. 2. They are extremely organized and prompt with their communication and paperwork. I am so glad we were able to rent the car to make our Alaska trip memorable.

The rental process was smooth and communication was prompt. The pickup and drop off went great. The staff was friendly and detail oriented. The truck camper was clean and everything functioned properly. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an adventurous vacation.

I originally posted this on Yelp.We rented a RV from Anchorage location. Our flight arrival time to Anchorage was at 2:00 AM in the morning. Go North accommodated us that we were able to sleep in the RV before we could check in at 10 AM. And we even slept a night at Go North parking lot when we were coming back from a trip from the south side of Alaska before heading out to the North - we didn't like RV parks in Anchorage and our kids preferred Go North parking lot!I believe our RV was a little older model (2017), but well equipped. I bought convenient kits for all kitchen/bedding - and it was very convenient! It was my first RV experience, so I was little overwhelmed at first - but I was able to use/manage (i.e. hookups) very quickly - RV operation tips at the checkin time was very useful.I was also worried about extra charges such as cleaning fees. Go North had told me at the checkin that they would charge about $50 for exterior cleaning. We didn't have a bad weather, so our RV was pretty much clean except dead bugs on the upper part of the RV. And the cleaning fee was not charged.I think the pricing was straightforward and very reasonable. I had been looking for RVs for nearly 6 weeks before the trip. And it was the time there were nearly no RVs and no rental cars. And some rental price was crazy because of the shortage.I highly recommend Go North. Thank you Alex/Go North Team!

My husband and I usually tent camp but now having small children we decided to rent an RV. Everything was done online which is great for social distancing. They were very accommodating to our needs. We changed our dates after booking and they assisted us with no worries. When picking up the Rv they were very thorough! RV was clean looked brand new. She answered all our questions. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is because for the price I think cleaning exterior and interior should be including . They said if we did not scrub off the bugs they would charge up to 75$ . So we took it to a car wash for 9 dollars. We ended up receiving our deposit back minus the generator usage fee. ( So minus 9$). I would recommend them 100%!

I rented a truck camper for 9 days. Three of us traveled from ANC to Atigun Pass, then south to Seward, and back to ANC for a total of about 1900 miles. We didn't have any issues with setup, even in the rough sections of the Dalton. We never felt cramped either. The truck was easy to drive and park anywhere including remote campsites and downtown streets. In short it's the perfect setup for exploring Alaska. The customer service was excellent. They made sure I was comfortable with how everything worked and gave me ample opportunity to try everything and ask questions. The paperwork is a little intimidating as there may seem to be potential fees for everything. At the end of the day none of that was an issue and I paid only what was in my original quote plus the extra miles that I put on.Whatever your plans are for Alaska I recommend this outfit. I saw many people in the ubiquitous RV rentals having to turn around from some great places because they couldn't park or maneuver. Renting a regular car leaves you to pay hundreds per night for sometimes very spartan rooms. This let's you get the RV experience with the flexibility of a truck.

You charge extra for excessive bugs on the RVs upon return?! It s Alaska! What do you want people to do? Swerve for every mosquito out there? How pathetic. You should be ashamed. And those rates are out of control! I can rent from someone on Craigslist for a fraction of the price and be treated like a real person. And I m encouraged to use the generator, not charged for every hour that s put on it. Everyone - don t waste your time and money. Search Craigslist first and any other professional rental first. This should be a last resort

Very helpful and friendly Swiss run rental service with a wide spectrum of RV of all sorts, the best we could find when shopping around for an RV in Anchorage for an fast trip to the outdoors. Individual packages and budget deals available. German and French spoken. Don't goove around like we did, just go there with our recommendation

Would have given 0 stars if possible. Went there see about scheduling to rent a vehicle. Front desk lady was unhelpful and rude. She was taking a phone call which apparently was more important than the customer in front of her. I was told they were booked the entire summer for all their vehicles. I will not be returning.

John is an awesome employee and an asset to the company. Goes above and beyond to make sure people are taken care of. He's the definition of a hard working Alaskan and reminded me that there are still good people in Anchorage.

The check out and check in process didn't go as well as I had hoped. Be mindful that this isn't a typical rental car outfit, so read the information carefully to avoid surprises.

Wouldn't rent from them againAnd DO NOT call the emergency contact person because you got a bad review. Your bad review will turn into filling harassment charges!
