PLEASE READ BEFORE TAKING YOUR CAR HERE.I don t really believe in reviews because anyone who has the time to write a review, probably has too much time on their hands. I do not. I am a nineteen year old, full time employee and student at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Dana Wright, the manager of this facility and his team Crystal, Taylor and my direct adjuster Xkylo are fraudulent and misleading individuals. My first car, my beloved 2015 Volvo V60 went into classic collision as a trusted company from State Farm. They have a Volvo certification hanging in there front lobby so I trusted them to do a good job buffing THE MINOR SCRATCHES to the front end of my car after it was SCRATCHED by another car (that was moving at 5mph!!) they deconstructed my car, and found hidden damages and found my engine cradle was bent and my car was totaled. I was left with no car and no way to get to work or school. Not to mention, I put my car into the shop on December 14th, and didn t get it back till February 9th.Because I complained and questioned the legitimacy of these assertions I figured out they were lying!Dana and everyone else on your team, please know that I got a second opinion and every lie you told me was confirmed. The engine cradle was not bent and you damaged my car more somehow and then had me pay for you guys to do nothing.I can t defame you if it s all true! You guys are literally the worst. Please find some passion in your life and maybe consider not being terrible people.Thanks, or not,Madison C. York

Excellent communication. Ms. Kim Hernandez is so helpful, communicative, and professional. The entire front staff is kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Im not happy my car needed repairs, but I'm thankful their team is here to help.

Classic Collision in Dowling in Anchorage is a big disappointment! They deserve a zero score! Accident was in December but my car drop in appointment for repair was moved several times, then finally middle of June, apparently because of ordered parts. They finally have the parts but still my car was in their shop for almost two months. When I picked up my car, my car key was broken, taped on the fob. They hoped I wouldn t notice but it was falling apart when I turn the key to start my car! They took the serial number, a picture and said they will order to replace it and will call me. A month passed but nobody called. When I called they said it s been ordered and it s coming this Friday, we will call you. They never call! When I called in, every time, they said the same. Since September, October, November, December, January, then now February the same thing. The same lies! They also asked me to bring the key in a few times so they can take the serial number again, or the repair man is coming, etc. all excuses! Classic Collision in Dowling has inconvenience me too much! I am a very kind person, But they are liars! Crystal of Classic Collision lies to me every time I call or even in person! Until this day today, I am still using my broken key and they are still giving me the same excuse! I am telling my friends and posting in social media not to be caught in with this very unprofessional service of Classic Collision in Dowling!

CC Midtown worked on my Tesla Model Y. I can t say enough good things about this shop. Dana the GM is a true pro, and so are all the others working at the shop. I found the communication to meet expectations but the best part was the work they do. Excellent job doing repairs on my car. I recently had a very disappointing experience with Classic Collision in Dowling. I called on November 21st to make an appointment for December 14th. However, when I arrived on the 14th, I was shocked to find out that they had no record of my appointment in their system. Mistakes can happen, but the way they handled the situation was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.The first lady I interacted with was polite and tried to help, but then a manager with a bang hairstyle stepped in. This lady was extremely rude and showed no willingness to assist me. I observed her treating other customers in the same disrespectful manner.Based on this experience, I will definitely not be returning to Classic Collision, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The lack of customer service and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the manager is simply unacceptable.

After getting in a car accident in August classic collision made repairs but couldn t figure out the electric brake system error. After several times of me coming to pick my truck up and the error code still on the dash they took my truck to swickard Chevy. Fast forward and classic collision refuses to pay their bill due to Chevrolet although they had zero issues cashing out the 19K check from my insurance claim. When a wheel from this accident is still misshapen, and Chevy discovered the issue, classic collision said it was not because of the accident to avoid having to pay for additional repair they missed the first time. Regardless it is now January 2024 and my vehicle is still at Swickward awaiting them to pay their bill from two weeks ago so I can move forward with getting my vehicle and the wheel fixed. I called and was told a manager would call two days ago and yet still no call. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this facility.

The front desk was determined to ruin my day every time I interacted with them. This business is allergic to high standards. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have to get an estimate here.

I am not a consumer that ever posts frivolous or misdirected inflammatory reviews about a company or their product. This review simply reveals to you the exact nature of tribulations I experienced in taking my t-boned vehicle to Able Body Shop on Dowling Road.An individual from the shop insisted that because I had aftermarket hardware installed on my vehicle, that was the cause of the mechanical failure, not the car accident. The cause for the mechanical failure was indeed not due to the accident, but the specialty shop confirmed that the vehicle had OEM parts installed on the vehicle. The OEM parts did fail. It is very frustrating and confusing to have someone tell you information when they have no idea what they're talking about. To tell a degree holding electrician that something is wired incorrectly, although it has worked properly for quite some time, to deny to the insurance company any work looking into the matter (I got the technicians work notes afterthefact), and to NOT inspect the underside of a vehicle after a T-Bone vehicle crash is ridiculous. An extreme prejudice existed the entire time in which an individual at the shop discounted the quality of my vehicle merely because it is of a foreign manufacture. He also repeated to, indirectly, act if I was some ignorant child that didn't know anything about cars. I have worked on $300m airplanes, owned 6 cars, and I am currently working towards a PhD. It is sad when doubt and disrespect creep into the world of the service industry.Do not leave parts of MY vehicle that EASILY identifiable, on my dash. Wet sanding should be completed thoroughly, and perhaps you may need someone else to check over the painter's and mechanic's work after they complete a job because there were issues all over the place. I got into a car accident in December of 2018. It is now the middle of March.I am not sure who ordered the wrong bumper, but it is very frustrating when someone has the lack of attention due unto their job. I worked as a mechanic, and my bosses would hit the roof when someone ordered the wrong part.Wet sanding due. The undercarriage was not inspected, another shop found leaking oil, transmission fluid, a faulty air compressor, and a steering gear going bad.They said they would call me or send me text updates about when my bumper would come in, but they only sent 1 text early in the week. They FAILED to call me and tell me that my vehicle would not be ready before the weekend. I called them on Friday to see if it was ready, and they told me the bumper still had not come in after 2 weeks. It is ridiculous that you could not inform me of that sooner in the day, before a call was needed from me.I would never go to this shop again. I would never tell any of my friends to go here. I would advertise to NOT go to able body shop.

Schedule an appointment with them via phone weeks ago and went in on that date, the receptionist told me that I have no appointments and that if I did, I should have received a text confirmation. They never sent me confirmation and she makes me like I was delusional, didn t apologize for any inconvenience, and had to reschedule like I was wrong. These people needs to be documented and trained. Can t be telling customers false appointments and waste their time. Do better!

Expect at least two months before getting an estimate on your cars damages. The staff are rude, impatient, and incompetent. Shop hours are inconvenient. It was an absolute nightmare doing business here.

I brought my car to them on 5/2 and they had it for nearly 1 month. I gave them my car with no broken windshield and when I picked it up on 5/31 I let them know there was a crack in the windshield. They "informed" the lady I was working with but she didn't contact me back I had to contact them the next day and she said they are not liable for the damage but would escalate the situation to the manager. It is now 6/12 and I have called them a couple times since and the manager is never available and I have not heard from them to this day. I should have read reviews prior to bringing my car to them since most recent reviews are not good.Service: Body & Trim

I used them in the past on a repair and they did a ok job. So my wife took time off work after waiting a month for the appointment to get a estimate for rock chips on her door and they said they would not work on her truck and the reason they told her sounded weird. I called and could not get either of the people on the phone who talked to my wife to get a good explanation will be avoiding them now and from the reviews I have been reading this is a good thing. 10/10 wouldn t recommend. Took here for some comprehensive damage and got the car back in worse condition than dropped off in. Plus the survey to rate how bad the service was, had already been filled out with a review that wasn t mine. Had to blue tape 20+ issues and they gave the vehicle back with the back hatch leaking (which it wasn t before).

Staff fails to mention the steps of the process to receive repairs from them. Also, they did not detail under what circumstances they will work on a vehicle. You wait 2 weeks for an appointment just to be told they can t help you. But if they just ask more questions over the phone, we could have realized crucial information sooner rather than later. You take time off work to get your vehicle fixed just for them to not help because of a detail they omitted . It s fine if you have company policy but please say that before an appointment is set

Just don t my man. They are so insanely lazy. They plugged my lights in upside down which made them not work and then told me it s the fault of Amazon wiring. The replaced my bumper (which was scratched when I first saw it) they broke a bolt and didn t take the broken bit out, they didn t put 6 clips back underneath the bumper, they didn t secure the wiring for my head lights, fog lights, or indicators. The front desk person is insanely condescending and does her best to escalate situations and make you feel as if everything is your fault. It is illegal for your insurance provider to tell you which shop you have to go to, when they say ti go to classic collision at the very least don t go to this one.

Took it in to get bumper fixed, fixed it. Fog lamps on bumper don t work, the convince me it s not their fault. I take the car, realize an hour later that doesn t make sense. Now they won t fix it. Saw someone saying they did the same thing saying after market parts caused failure on something that worked before they brought it in.Hope the owner sees this edit and people read it. It s clear you don t actually do anything with these reviews. The same problems are brought up over and over across every single bad review you have

HORRIBLE place! Never take your car here. Crystal if that's how her name is spelled is very rude! She claims she's in customer service. They have had the car going on 4 months stating they are waiting on parts. The part is all of a sudden coming from Chicago. I know that's not taking long if a place ride is 12 hours. Then they claim once the part arrives they have to test it out. At this point I don't believe anything they say. I asked about them paying for a rental or some type of compensation and her answer was a flat no. Also she stated it's not my fault you were in a car accident. Who says that!Service: Body & Trim

They repaired my busted tail light in just a few hours, and even washed my car! It looks brand new. Prior to the appointment, I was able to send them photos of my damage through an app that was very easy to use. This allowed the staff to know which part they needed to order and create an accurate quote for me. Overall very smooth process.Additionally, their office is always clean and well-kempt (not like most auto repair shops where everything looks dirty), and the staff is attentive and well-trained.I would recommend this place to anyone in need of auto repair services!Service: Body & Trim

I have done business with Able several times. I always walk away feeling well taken care of and pleased with the work. I greatly appreciate their customer service and honesty. One thing I m super impressed with was their text update system. I felt in the loop the whole way! That helps build trust in the process. I also appreciate the friendly employees. Terrible experience the front desk receptionist have no respect for customer. She thinks she owns the place. She should never be in customer service industry. You don t point finger to your customer and if you can t handle customer find your supervisor or your boss instead of arguing. Got my truck with more scratch than what it had before.

On time with quality work. Willing to fix non-accident related damage at a discounted rate while the vehicle was in the shop. The vehicle was nicely cleaned inside and out as an added bonus. My visit was coordinated through an insurance claim and that process was flawless. Able coordinated the rental car and all I had to do was trade keys with the service rep on drop-off. Able Body Shop did an excellent job on the repair of my F-150. The paint work is immaculate. they also finished the job four days earlier than expected. They also cleaned my vehicle before returning it, which was a tremendous effort thanks to my German Shepherd. I appreciated they called frequently to provide updates of the status of my cars repairs (including Christmas eve). Office staff was a delight to work with. The repairs turned out great thus far. Only complaint was at the time of pick up (granted they were very busy) I felt rushed out the door with no review or explaination of the repairs which left me uneasy. Overall I would recommend Able to my closest friends and family

This review is for their work on body shop! My car was accidentally backed into by a friend they quoted me 5k for the repairs and ended up being a little cheaper using USAA as insurance. They sent updates on the vehicle via text messages. They repaired it 3 days earlier than expected. The paint job is good and you can t even tell it was hit. All staff was generally friendly. For the most part I spoke with KIM and she was awesome! The only thing is that they returned the car on E (which is no big deal) just make sure you car has plenty of gas before taking in. I think mine was rather on the empty side and with them turning it on and off for repairs that s why it left me in E. Excellent work. Great customer service.Services: Body & Trim, Welding

I m very happy with the repair job from this body shop. They were very thorough with the price estimate and timeline of repairs. They even finished the job one week sooner than expected. I really liked and appreciated how they kept me up to date during the entire process of what was being done to the vehicle and what to expect next. This company is PHENOMENAL. They assessed the damage that was done to my van, gave me an estimate, worked with my insurance company and made the repairs in a week! The initial estimated time of repair was a minimum of 14 days, so I was blown away that the van got fixed so soon. They provided updated text messages (was my preference to get contacted) as well. Staff are all polite, professional and always willing to a sweet questions. Also they cleaned the van in and out! I did not expect the exceptional service that was provided. Will definitely acquire their services in the future if needed. Thank you!

Someone hit my truck and their insurance 100% covered paying for the damages. Able body shop was quick, friendly, and very easy to work with. I had a pleasant experience taking my truck to get fixed there, I appreciated the suggestions they had for rental car companies and the swift communication on updates. Hertz was able to pick me up from their location to take me to my rental car and I was able to leave the rental car keys with Able's when my truck was completed. They also worked great with my insurance claim changes and I would highly recommend them!
