I recently brought my used F350 to Alaska Spring and Performance for some suspension work, and I have to say, I was blown away by their service. The team recommended a Kelderman kit that significantly improved the ride quality of my truck, and while they were working on the rear suspension they noticed my front shocks were busted so I was able to get those taken care of aswell. What really stood out to me was their exceptional customer service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in detail. They made sure that I understood what was going on with my truck and even gave me some tips on how to maintain my suspension in the future. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service I received at Alaska Spring and Performance. They exceeded my expectation, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of suspension work.

In a word - Outstanding. Alan and Mike were great: very friendly. Was heading out of town with an overloaded truck and they added more leaf springs on short notice despite a backlog of jobs. Thank you guys.

I have a small camper on a pickup truck that uses air shocks (air bladders) to help carry the load. This year when I put the camper on I noticed that on side was slowly leaking air. I went to AK Spring to see if it could be repaired. They told me that it could not be repaired and that they are not recommended for Alaska. I should change them out for new overload springs for $1700. I was ready to do it but thought I would look into it a little more before I spent that much on new springs. My neighbor is a mechanic and took a look. There was a leak where the air line connected to the Schrader valve. Total cost of repair = $11.00. I would have gladly paid AK Spring a couples hundred dollars to do the same. It makes me mad that instead of repairing something they wanted to just sell me a whole new suspension system.

Have used these folks for a few years and had consistent good honest service on several different fleet trucks and personal cars. Just had an emergency rear spring replacement and they got me in and swapped it out. Highly recommendService: Steering & suspension replacementService: Steering & suspension replacement

My recent, and first time experience with Alaska spring was top notch. I had a very unfortunate incident with my truck that needed immediate attention. It was very stressful, late in the day and I live out of town and was scrambling trying to figure out what to do. John?, owner, and multiple others jumped into gear to start working on my vehicle. They were on the phone promptly with multiple parts suppliers and specialty shops to find everything they needed. I had to wait in the waiting room for 3 or more hrs and saw a lot of interaction with other techs and customers who were in and out during that time. Everyone there seemed happy to be there and truly enjoy their job. This high moral says a lot about how a business is run from the top down and put my mind at ease to the work being done. Some might say they are expensive and that might be true. However they are specialists at what they do and I am happy to pay that price for quality work. I have easily paid more for work that was sub par with mechanics who were very unpleasant to deal with, that was not the case here by a long shot. I walked away in a lot better mood than I walked in with and felt truly lucky to have stumbled across AK spring! Thanks fellas!

I will only be taking my truck here from now on. I had suspension issues with my lifted one ton. I took it to four other shops before AKS, and each of them kept throwing parts at it and charging me. None of them got it right. Allen at AKS spent time going through it, and had to redo the ball joints and allignment done at other shops.I asked if I had a case to complain, and he responded that "these other shops wouldn't know an adjustable ball joint if it hit them in the head" :)He took the time to fine-tooth-comb the truck, and it is once again a pleasure to drive. As I began, I will only be taking my truck to AK Spring from here on out, and I suggest that you do the same.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Can't recommend them enough. This has been my go-to mechanic for over 10 years. They've helped me with everything from oil changes to putting a new engine in my Jeep. This last visit was because my heater went out in our Subaru. Called Wednesday night and they had me in first thing Thursday morning and had my car fixed and toasty warm by Thursday afternoon. Great guys and an all around fantastic shop!

After waiting 5 weeks for my appointment and confirming my appointment 10 days prior, i showed up on appointment day only to be told that they could not do my job. Allen told me he has been looking for parts to do my work for another customer for four months. If thats the case then why did he tell me that parts and timeline were not an issue when i made the appointment. why did he tell me he had just done this similar axel swap on his son's truck. why not tell me parts were an issue when i confirmed the appointment and ask if all was still good. if you dont want my money you should just say so instead of feeding me a line. i ask if they could just rebuild my existing axle in the scheduled time and he told my not possible.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

This place had great customer service and they are very thorough. I thought my e-brake cable was broken but it turns out my whole brake system was messed up and had been for sometime, despite the fact that other mechanics had checked the brakes recently too and said they were fine. Allen showed me the messed up parts (after they had been taken off my car) and explained the problem had been going on for a while (like months). The repair job was much bigger than I expected but they still did their best to get my car finished in a timely fashion. I will definitely be coming back to this shop for my future repairs.

We were so lucky to find these guys! I wouldn't trust any other shop with my Jeep. Allen and the team truly provide quality work and go above and beyond whenever we stop by. They are thorough and will take time to explain problems and help offer solutions so you can make the best choice for your vehicle.

Used to like them. Brought truck in to get a sensor replaced, I told them the check engine light was intermittently on. 20 minute job. Dropped off first thing in the morning. Took all day and then told the check engine light went out when they drove it around the block so they didn't replace it. Was still charged hour service $125. I had to replace sensor a week later, ended up just doing it myself. Won't go back

I recommend this place all the time for one reason only. Tony! That man really cares about your car and makes sure everything's right before he's done. Hes super knowledgeable and gives good advice as well to keep things good in the future. Great guy. I highly recommend you go see Tony for your vehicle needs.

Made an appointment 3 days in advance and the day of the appointment they did not work on my car all day. Was only a diagnostic appointment but for some reason they were unable to honor their appointment. They said the car before me took longer than expected. They did not communicate that to me until I called at the end of the day to find out what was taking so long. Beware is my only advice. Did not have the chance to find out if they were any good and I won't be back.

This is the only mechanic I trust in Anchorage, with my 4x4 Jeep. Let me tell you why with an experience.I bought my used Jeep for $3,050 that had an awful oil leak since day one. I tolerated it for years, until I felt I had a lot of savings to tackle this big problem.Mechanic shop A told me to fix my oil leak, it would be upwards of $4,000 to $5,000 dollars. Reason being they must lift the entire engine out. $4k was out of budget.I take my vehicle to Spring and Preformance for them to inspect it (they did not charge for inspection) and summed the total to fix the same oil leak to be $1,600. Reaso being yes the engine must be lifted, but not entirely. This saved me so much money, was just a giant relief, and years later my oil is not leaking and I'm still having only them do all the work on my car.So I genuinely trust their prices and insight on keep my vehicle running and suspension tuned. Try them.

Grew up in a shop, literally, as my father had one. Have worked in many over my 62 years. I can tell a BS shop from the real deal. These guys are the real deal. From north of Anchorage I had to wait while my 4WD had the front end serviced. Wait all blooming day. The auto parts place delivered the wrong part. 2 times in a row. I was there, witnessed it and was there when the third delivery got the right piece. This was Saturday afternoon by this time. They took me in the back, under my vehicle, pointed out the broken or worn out parts while they were still in place first thing that morning. Then during the day they fed me and gave me custom coffee then let me see their chopper projects they had upstairs and hot rod projects downstairs. Not a guy touching a single project all day, just customer vehicles. They also had a number of obvious long time customers come in during the day to pick up vehicles, drop them off or get estimates. Did not see one disgruntled customer the entire day. In short, I will be back to Alaska Spring and Performance for anything they can handle - which seems to be anything. From light service to total frame-off vehicle restorations, transfer case/differential/transmission rebuilding and engine rebuilds or they can get you a crate engine. Not many places like this around anymore. They stopped right when they started on mine as a lady showed up with almost total brake failure. A traveler, they stopped everything to get her vehicle fixed and get her back on the road. They explained to me what they were doing and having been in her shoes I could understand. Now THAT is service. And she had never been there before or even knew it was there. Good shop.

I needed to Replace my rear leaf springs, so I was referred to Alaska Spring by custom truck. They gave me a handful of options ranging from the cheapest to the most expensive, and then they told me what the ideal long-lasting fix was. They gave me a cost estimate for each option and an estimate on how it would perform. I chose to go with a complete replacement and upgrade to HD leaf springs, and also welding brackets on to mount aftermarket rear shocks. They had my truck ready to go in less than one work day. A couple days later I went in at around 5 to get some lights, they gave me a really good deal on some Rigid Industries lights and had them installed in an hour. This shop has exceptional customer and repair service. I will definitely recommend this shop and will be going back.... but hopefully not soon!

Getting an appointment with them was great, and the simple repair came out to almost exactly what I assumed the cost would be based on standard labor and parts costs. I will definitely be taking my vehicle back in the future if I need additional maintenance done.

We are a construction company in business in Anchorage for over thirty years. We have gone through many auto service companies over the years with not much confidence in any until we started using Alaska Spring quite a few years ago now. They are unsurpassed in their service, customer support and most of all honesty. Something that seems to be hard to find these days. We use them for all of our company fleet service and as well all of our personal vehicle service needs. We recommend them to any clients and friends and all have been very pleased with Alaska Spring.

I have been going to AK Spring and Performance ever since they opened. They have always been very honest and helpful to me. My son had a '96 Bronco and they made that beast purr. I have had my other cars their for numerous repairs and they are always very friendly and fair with their cost. I would gladly reccomend AK Spring and Performance to anyone who may need repairs on their cars and trucks.

I spent about $28,000 at Alaska Spring for accessories on my Toyota FJ Cruiser to make it into the greatest offroad vehicle in Alaska. Unfortunately they did such a horrible job I could barely drive it down a paved road, and definitely never drove it offroad. They told me it would be 3-4 weeks to get all the parts in and get started on it. Instead it took 12 weeks to get the parts, I never received an apology or discount or any type of consideration for the delay.Next they told me it would take about 2 weeks to put everything on the vehicle. It took 6 weeks. When the FJ Cruiser was done it squeeked horribly and didn't drive straight. I had some problems with the axle after they had worked on it and brought it to the Toyota dealer to have checked out. After I took the list of problems back to Alaska Spring my car sat there for 4 weeks and they told me the list of problems that Toyota found weren't actually problems. It reached the point where I could no longer drive the Toyota, it wouldnt drive straight down the road and it rolled so bad around a corner I was afraid to drive it. I took it to another shop in town to get it fixed. There were bolts missing from the snorkel, the suspension pieces were not tight, the lift kit was not greased when it was installed so it squeeked constantlyI spent about $1500 so far fixing the problems that Alaska Spring caused to the car. There are still more issues I need to have fixed. Fortunately after the suspension was tightened properly the car no longer rolls or sits at an angle when its parked. Due to the length of time it takes them to do anything and their poor work I will never go back to Alaska Spring again, especially considering the amount of money I spent there. I deserved better service than this.

Allen gave me the bad news but it's as I feared my Tahoe needs a new engin. I keep going back for a honest estimates and reliable repairs. more than springs and shocks.

Spring broke on our 5th wheel in Palmer on way down tio Homer from Seattle. Called all RV dealers that said would be a month plus to get at it. One of them recommended Alaska Spring who said they could do it next day if we could get it there. We did and they did. Interesting people and interesting place. Replaced all of our springs with stronger ones. Expensive but improved suspension and we/they saved our vacation. Got good fishing advice to boot. Hope not to go back but very glad they were there
