Paid over $1200 a my AC to be repaired, went to pick it up and started my car and still in the parking lot after I paid nothing. No air... wasn't even blowing. Went in and asked how this could happen...I mean did the mechanic not even check his work? So I leave my car again and it's a another $1200. Get the car and two weeks later blowing out hot air. Another $1000. Never ever an apology or even an explanation. I passed by this location several times lately and the parking lot is usually almost empty. Maybe enough people have been ripped off that word is going around.

Brought my vehicle in a few weeks ago for (what I thought was) a dead battery. Replaced battery and was good to go. Two weeks later, car died again. Called Triple A to jump me off and they showed me that the cable end was loose and battery not dead. Tightened cable and car was fine for one more week then died again. Returned to Pep Boys to show them the cable issue and had to pay to have it replaced. So either A) my battery was not actually dead to begin with and just needed cable end replaced or B) when I had battery replaced, they damaged the cable end causing further issues. I believe I should receive a credit for the cable part/labor due to this not being diagnosed the first time and/or Pep Boys causing the damage.

I swear I would trust these guys with anything. They have always been so nice to me and honest. They even try to give me the best deals and listen when I say something isn t work even if they don t see what I m talking about at first glance. They never downplay my concerns which isn t always the case for a woman in these types of locations. Every time I have used them, they have made me feel like a valued customer.

These guys were life savers on new year's eve! Saved my family's trip and new year celebration. Sabrina at the front desk was specially wonderful! As polite as it gets, and made sure to give us the best service possible! Honestly couldn't be happier with the service I got. Thanks so much!

Fast service! Cheaper than the tire place across the street! We pulled off the interstate to get gas and found a screw in our tire and Pep Boys plugged it and ran a free diagnostic for us. Sabrina was great! 5 stars

Came in on Tuesday after work October 24, 2023 needing a possible tire- the attendant on duty said, " Let's see if we can fix your tire 1st". To my surprise they were able to repair the tire, saving me from having to purchase a new tire. They (the attendant and technician) provided me with Excellent Customer Service and they were able to fit me in at the last minute when other shops would've told me we're close to closing come back the next day!I highly recommend the Vestavia Hills, AL Pep Boys Location for your service needs!

If you ve never used Pep Boys, it s time to give them a try. I took in my truck today to get the tires rotated and balanced. They did it quickly and professionally, at a reasonable cost. Their shop is clean and well-organized, and their lobby is always spotless. In a market that s full of competition, these folks stand out.

Excellent experience. I was traveling through Birmingham and wanted to stop and get my wheels balanced at the same Pep Boys that I bought my tires from years before. Sabrina met me with a smile and promised to fit me in at the end of the day. They had me in an out in acceptable time, this was a much different experience than I had previously with buying my tires, and it was all because of Sabrina.

I'm torn about how to write this review. On one hand, the location deserves a better rating and on the other, the policies and prices make me shop elsewhere.The good: I went to this location needing help with a leaking tire. They discovered the leak was too close to the sidewall and could not patch it.I attempted to purchase 4 new tires (the other three needed replacing too) and the brand that I needed was not available. The next least expensive tire was almost $200 each. So instead, they put the donut tire on the car and sent me on my way with no cost whatsoever even though they were just about to start an oil change when we realized that the tires were not there. They brought my keys back to me with an advisory to drive particularly careful in the approaching storm and sent me on my way and never charged me a penny.The bad; they were going to charge me $30 to patch a leaking tire. Subsequently, I found out that NTB Warehouse does it free of charge.Overall it's a good place and the staff are attentive and genuinely concerned about helping you get what you need, I just have a problem with $30 to patch a tire when the patching supplies probably only cost the location next to nothing. The lady at the front desk however was extremely pleasant and very helpful.

I would like to give a big shout out to Sabrina and her team, including Matthew with helping me put my new rims on my car and fixing my issues. Even when vendors sent the wrong parts also still got my car done same day, they are awesome thank you guys my car been riding, smooth.

Last night, low tire air..filled up and drove 3mi home..tire low again. 11:30pm after my client was safely asleep, I drove to Pep Boys and walked the .5mi home (closest to our home) from leaving my car in spot next to handicapped parking spot. Next day I called-Stan. Explained the tire & personal situation. He asked where key was-I let him know I had key. He stated there was a lock box and He would need the key to remove tire to repair it. I let Stan know I am live in to an alz client and could not leave her to walk there and back to bring the key. He stated he couldn't repair tire otherwise. I stated that I would need to call wrecker to have it towed to the place .5mi further down the road~just to have my flat fixed..that was ridiculous. He stated without a key to pull it inside-he could not fix my tire. I contacted my employer to bring me to Pep Boys..to move my car to a more appropriate customer service oriented car business. I will ask Pep Boys to air my tire-otherwise I will drive across the street to air my tire to drive the .5 miles to other business.Yes, if I need to drive across the street to get needed air~there will also be a fb post concerning Stan and Pep Boys lack of understanding of customer service due to a physical and intellectual incapicity.I drove to and walked home from Pep Boyz .5 Mike's at 11:30pm once my client was asleep.

I bought 4 new tires for my truck and also needed an alignment. Stan, Christian, and crew did a fine job. After installing my tires I lowered my level kit on my truck for a softer ride at home and came back the next day for the alignment. I put the cart before the horse sorta speak. They were flexible and accommodating.

Pep Boys in Vestavia Hills does excellent work. I got a set of tires and, recently, a battery for my car. Staff (Stan) did a great job getting me thru in nominal time.

Four hours from home, and after hitting a massive pot hole on the interstate, on a Sunday, Stan at Pep Boys stayed late until I could be towed in. Made sure I got to a safe hotel, came in on his day off to track down tires that would fit my Mini Cooper. He and Christian got me on my way...had another problem in Decatur and an "angel" there at Pep Boys helped me out. Can't say enough about the good people you employ! They all made what could have been a very scary experience seem like just another adventure! And BTW, the new tires are fine!

Absolutely DO NOT go here.Summary: Had ABS light on my Jeep after service (wasn t on before) and they refused to look at it or fix it or do anything about it at all. VERY rude front desk lady. Senior tech blew off the mechanics that were asking for help. Go anywhere else.I took my Jeep in for a tire patch, air filter, and fuel system flush. I made it very clear I had to have my Jeep back by 3pm.I called at 2pm and they said oh no! Let us get on it. I get there and the air filter wasn t in (so that didn t get done which I understand). Then when I finally get my Jeep 3:25pm the ABS light was on.The lady at the front desk is incredibly rude to literally every customer and the mechanics.While I was talking to the mechanic about the ABS light, the filter came in and she yelled at the mechanics for touching it. I reaffirmed to them all I d happily pay the $30 for the filter.They confirmed the ABS system lights were not on when it came in. The two mechanics were actually very nice. The senior tech was horrible and the service lady was absolutely rude.I left at 3:54 without any resolution and ultimately I had to walk out because the lady at the front desk was being so incredibly rude that she was impossible to talk to.I asked multiple times to talk to the manager or for a regional managers contact information.I am a very calm person and this situation was absolutely ridiculous in every way. I will not be coming back and I will try to go back to talk to the manager when possible.
