I purchased rotors & brake pads for my truck. They gave me 7lug, I needed 6lug at the Letson Farm, Bessemer store. Took back to exchange, they didn't have any. Had to go to the Hoover store costing me an 1.5hrs & $23 more after spending $170. I should've checked YET THEY SHOULD'VE GOT IT RIGHT. Shouldn't have cost me extra $.

I love my local Advance Auto, they always have what I need, they don't mind explaining how to do things that you are unsure of. Us "Weekend Warriors" truly appreciate the level of detail they will offer.

Terrible customer service. I asked where the washer fluid was after walking around the whole store twice. Employee said that's a good question and walked off.. then asked another employee.. "Do you have any washer fluid?" He said.. I doubt it.. and left it at that.. what the hell kind of service is this? If you don't have any just say "I'm sorry sir, I think we are out but I can double check for you".. employees here are rude

Great service. Even during the rain, Pete was courteous and installed my new battery in the rain. I asked if he was the manager and he said he was the assistant. He should have his own store as he went above and beyond providing service (which is rare these days).

Que was so helpful in helping me get the battery in my Ford F-150 changed. She was very personable and entertaining while we waited. Affordable, quick and easy. 10/10 recommend!

Great people. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience. Had bad battery. They found me best deal, and changed it out for me! In and out in less than 30 min! Saved my day!!!

Sean is the best and makes this place great to go to. I would not be a patron if it wasn't for him. Not because I have a problem with company, but just because I would shop wherever he is. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the place is organized and clean. The location is especially great and honestly by far the best I have ever been to. They are willing to help with questions and even have helped me install simply things in my car. I really love this hoover/vestavia (hwy 31) location.

I went in with my friend and not only were they distant and arrogant they acted like they were doing us a favor.....honestly just plain mean. What upsets me is the way they treated my friend AND ...the way I see it,is their salary pays them to behave this way.....oh well lost yet another customer

The staff here was very generous to me of their time and expertise. They spend time helping me despite the fact it became apparent after a while that I needed a fix bigger than what I could buy from their store. One employee even pulled his car by mine to jump it off after and jumppack wasn t working. Then they invited me to wait inside while a tow truck came to pick me up. Very pleased with the service. Will definitely return for auto parts in the future.

The service is horrendous every time I go into this store. I entered my order online the night before. I went in at approximately 11:15 and it wasn't even pulled. What's the point of entering your order and paying for it if it's not ready? I waited and observed and the gentleman behind me was overlooked twice while the other salesman was looking at his phone worrying about what he was going to get for lunch. I can go on and on. This same guy is patiently waiting and a couple walks in and someone walks up and they wait on them. Oh and on my order they kept saying they didn't have the cabin filter and finally after 10 minuets they found it. I would not recommend anyone go to this store.

Always have what I need. The employees are helpful. Buy battery and they install for free. TIP: Usually their website will offer an online coupon code. Code not usable in store so order online to save the $, then pick up your order in store in 30min. Website accepts PayPal which really speeds up checkout.

Good people, despite the company's shortcomings. Decent parts, decent parts availability, and okay prices. You're paying for access to onhand availability; if you can wait for the part [to be ordered], you're better off ordering it online as you'll find it cheaper. Their in-house brands are hit-or-miss. Sometimes, they're sourced through excellent reputable companies, but if that source isn't available they purchase from any company that can provide the application and it goes in the same box, when this happens you get inconsistent quality and you may be using that "lifetime warranty." All major automotive retailers do this, and for the most part, Advance's parts are pretty high quality, but Advance doesn't actually make anything they just buy brand names. Like Diehard brand batteries, they now put Diehard on almost everything they sell, but Diehard doesn't even make their own batteries anymore, it's just a label, the same company that made the previous brand (Autocraft) continues to make the exact same batteries, they just say "Diehard."Each store is in its own way unique; the managers set the tone for the team. This specific store has a great team with people who work hard.

Needed a battery. They guy came out and put my battery in for me despite having difficult bolts holding it down. He did give me a couple of options for batteries and told me what he would be best for my car...

Store #06042 Joseph B. Was a great help. Very courteous took time out of his busy schedule to assist me and changing out a pulley on a power steering pump that I was having trouble with. He is an ace of an employee a model for all others!

Was in this past Saturday to purchase a battery. Had to interrupt salesperson on the phone talking to his girlfriend. He just didn't seem very knowledgeable about the battery I purchased quoting the wrong CCA and trouble putting in my phone number and zip into the computer. I've had good service from them in the past but will avoid him if he's still there the next time I'm in. Left a little disappointed.

I recently moved near this Advanced and have been stopping here and there to grab small things for my truck. A team member named Kam really helped me out. Not only was he welcoming and kind, he had knowledge of all the products I needed to get giving me the best value. Also props to Kam again for being well groomed.(which you don't often see in the auto industry/ retail). Will shop here again and recommend to friends .

Advance is my go to parts store. Make sure to sign up for speed perks and use coupon codes on their web site. Even if you are going into the store to pick up your purchase, order online to get the discounts and just go pick it up.

I needed a new battery. The nice lady checked the battery in my car to confirm, and indeed, needed a new one. In and out in less than 30 minutes.

Nice store and well stocked. Only setback is the parking lot is so dark, you can't see anything! Not very safe if you are alone.

Needed an oil cap for a 1998 Lexus. No way one is in stock. Wrong. Was in stock. Salesman does not trust computer for fit so he comes out to the car and we compare the two and decide it will work. Go back inside and it was like $9. Would have been at least $25 at dealership. Tried to tip the guy and he refused. Good to have an experience where they make time for you and are helpful. Way to go Advanced Auto Parts.

A new battery was needed and they had one in the store. An employee installed it for us and took the old battery away. Great experience!

Stopped by to get my windshield wiper replaced. Got new Rain-x wipers and they were quick to install it for me. I was in and out of the store with brand new windshield wipers installed in about 15 mins or less.
