OkLet me explain why I gave a 3 star. First I have always loved Tuscaloosa Toyota! My man Mike that I bought my car from is the best salesman. Two I have always got the service department to look after my baby. But three I had a run in last time I was there. One of the service reps came to me(after they serviced my baby)and told me I needed some things done. Note that the things was supposed to be for preventive maintenance. But still my car had 40,000 miles on it. The request that the man stated was for 30,000 miles. Nobody mentioned anything about it. He made me feel like I was neglecting my car. The things he said sounded like a scam. I wrote my salesman to let him know about what had happened. So far everybody that I know I have been giving them a heads up about the service department. Don't get me wrong I LOVE TUSCALOOSA TOYOTA. But don't come to me with $500 worth of stuff that I can do my self and then send me email after email about what they think needs to be done. Even thoe they neglected to say anything for 10,000 miles. Just wanted to put that out there.

We had our check engine light come on shortly after leaving home in MN heading to Tuscaloosa. AL. Of course this was of great concern but checking our diagnostic found it was coming out as a "knock sensor potential failure". Talking to our home mechanics felt we would be able to get to Alabama ok but should have it checked out. We were grateful to get into the Toyota dealer here right away and had it fixed the next day. Everyone there seemed attentive and the dealership itself is very large and accomodating for all your needs.

Service Department policy of charging -$90 for diagnostic (must be done to find codes and the issue) and not waiving it when the work is completed by them feels like double charging for service. If the work was not completed at your shop, it would make sense.I have used dealership service departments in at least 10 different states. If they did a diagnostic AND serviced the vehicle, they only charged for the service.I realize that it is the cost of doing business with you but does not make for satisfied customers.

The scheduling, drop off, servicing, and payment were all seamless. The service people serviced what I asked them to and the price was reasonable.Waiting area was nice and plenty of comfortable recliners and other chairs with coffee and other snacks.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the employee I spoke. however I told them I had a replacement headlight for the right low beam on my Sienna. I was quoted a price of $40 to change it. We went there, waiting over an hour only to be told that they had to use a super expensive LED headlight that cost $175! That would have been $215 to replace the light which only cost $30 for the left. I left. It was a waste of my time.

I spent the day with them. It was a long process, but overall, I loved the service we received. Plus, I have purchased a vehicle from them before.

Just went in for an oil change and tire rotation. While they are normally pretty good about getting you in and out, this time it took over 2 hours. We really felt it was a little excessive.

I'm a ford guy and have been for a long time. My wife bought a Toyota van that she loves. It has been in for service twice in the 116k miles it had traveled. The experience at Tuscaloosa Toyota's service department is so good that I'm legitimately contemplating buying a Toyota when it comes time to replace my truck. The folks hete, customer service, and customer support are World Class.

I have taken my car here a few times. When something started acting up with the axles that were changed, they looked at it for free. Hooked me up. And a few years later they still had the information when I called for a question. Nice people.

Waited 6+ hours to have my battery and cables cleaned up. They did a good job but they should have told me this was not a drop off.

Made an appointment to have my wife's car serviced and when she got there on time she had to wait two hours. They want you to be on time but they don't have to be it us ridiculous.

Expensive. You'd think since you bought your vehicle from them you'd get a slight discount at their service center

So, so, oil change and a tire rotation- work was done satisfactorily and reasonably but 2 and a half hours. I had an appointment, that is just toooooo long!

I'll say this first. Consistently, each time my partner takes his Corolla to be serviced here we leave and later have to return because they failed to tighten something or put something back on. Two examples: one of the rims of his car flew off while driving because after having the tires changed, the bolts were not properly secured and so, with eventual wear, the rim just flew off. Another example was my own experience, in which I borrowed his car for the day. On my way home, the entire car stalled in the middle of an intersection. After 3o'clock in Tuscaloosa? During a weekday? It was an absolute nightmare! To make matters worse, the car began to smell heavily of gas. In a panic, I called 911. Yada yada, the car was towed to the Toyota service center where, lo and behold, after the changing of his fuel injector (a typical thing to do after 50,000 miles), they had not fully secured the line. So it had popped loose while driving and the gas had completely drained out. 2.40 cents a gallon, poured all over the concrete in the middle of Northport.A positive? The head guy, over the service parts, was a complete gentleman! He was happy and quick to correct the mistakes made by the incompetent, and took care of the towing fee that way our insurance didn't have to. The head guy of Service is the best part about the entire dealership.I recommend fully looking over your car after each periodic oil change or servicing you get here. Make sure everything is secured and looks right before driving off, or else you too might end up stalled in the middle of Tuscaloosa in this blistering heat.

Six month ago I did oil change at the dealer and on the second day oil light was on, i took it back to the dealer they told me maybe my van burns oil and i need to pay $89.99 to see what's wrong, and then i took it to Express oil change and they told me that the dealer put only 2 QT of oil. I will NEVER take my car to the dealer again.
