Townsend Nissan still owes me $350 dollars. I had my transmission replaced here and not once, but twice within a month I was stranded far from home after losing all my transmission fluid due to mis-installation. The second time was out of state and I had to pay a more competent shop to put it back together and replace the very expensive fluid. I've been ghosted for over a year now trying to get reimbursed for their mistake.Do not trust your vehicle with this service center. It's not worth it. They're no cheaper than any other shop and they might just leave you stranded in Mississippi without recourse.

We stopped by on our drive from Virginia to Texas. Our older model Maxima was acting up on the highway. Though the service department was closed, Sebastian took time to locate a shop that was still open. Just want to thank him for his kindness.

In my 19 years of having a vehicle and working in the car business I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional, unpleasant and inept service company. They had my vehicle for at least 3 months, my insurance paid them in full for everything then the day I pick up my car the front bumper is falling off and my air does not work. The service manager got loud and in my face about the situation and the staff is just as bad. They never do anything when they say they are going to. Constant run around. STAY AWAY TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

11/11/2021, I took my car to get a the hood latch fixed because it was a recall on it, plus an oil change, front and back brakes changed, and a brake fluid flush. Well, the app told me my car was ready and it was not. I sat there for over 2 hours waiting on it. However, the technician that had my car took it for a test drive and was gone in my car for over 40 minutes. When I asked, hey where is my car he has been gone for a long time, the department rep says, "oh he must be testing your brakes". Well I know it does not take over 40 minutes to test brakes. Plus when I got in my car it had this bad smell to it. I will never take my car back there to get it service again, which I had stop before. The time before I numbered my tires , because I was getting an oil change and tire rotation. Guess what? I was charged and my tires was not rotated the numbers were still the same. I had to show them that it was not.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I called several times over about two weeks to check prices. Every time I called I was told they would have someone call back or put on hold then told they would have someone call back. The first time a man called back several hours after my first call. He was rude and acted like he didn't have time to talk. He also answered what seemed like a personal call with a friend during our conversation and talked to that person for a minute or so. I could hear the whole time. His demeanor changed to much less formal. The next time I was told someone would call back shortly. I didn't get a call that day or the next day. I called again. That time I got someone to call back in maybe an hour. I spoke to a woman who gave me prices. The main thing I wanted to check and have done was my spark plugs. My car requires the intake manifold to be removed. The woman told me it would be $160 and could be done in one day without an appointment as long as I got it there by ten. I made the trip there next day at 8:15 with a ride waiting so I could leave my car and get to work. The first thing the woman asked was if my car was the one where the intake manifold had to come off. I told her it was. She said it would be $580. I told her I just talked to someone the day before who gave me a price of $160. She proceeded to argue with me. She had an attitude and acted like she didn't care and had no time to talk just like the man I talked to before. She asked who I had talked to, but I didn't know. I didn't think I needed to get names of the people, because I never thought I might be mislead and then questioned about names. She said the person on the phone probably didn't realize which car mine was. I told her I made sure she knew mine was the one where the intake manifold had to come off, and she then reassured me of the price and that it would be done in one day. Then the woman told me she remembered talking to me and that they immediately called back to let me know they had it wrong but that I didn't answer. She said they left a voicemail. I told her I had no record of a call or voicemail. She said maybe they called someone else. I asked her if they would honor their quote. She told me they weren't doing it for $160. I reiterated they quoted that price the day before. She said that's why they left me the voicemail. I again told her I never got a call or voicemail. It seemed as if she was making it up. She said they weren't doing it for that price and said sorry. I thanked her and left. I did the entire service myself for about $60. I will never pay for service or purchase a vehicle from this location again if I can help it. They had horrible service all around. They were rude, not knowledgeable, careless, dismissive, and I feel like I was lied to multiple times. If that's how they treat customers who just ask questions, I wonder how they follow procedures and treat their vehicles when they do service them and how much attention and care they give to their contracts.

My last 2 vehicles were a Toyota and then Hyundai. Oil change service much faster at those dealerships in Tuscaloosa, but staff extremely nice and waiting area comfortable. Maybe add ability to schedule appointments instead first come first serve?

There are very few places I trust with my car, but Townsend Nissan is the place for me. No problems after they service your car and the customer service is great.
