I was having trouble finding a 40th anniversary ZX10 so I called Smith's. While they didn't have one they did find a bike and have it shipped in. Great experience all the way around and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I highly recommend Smith's Sport Cycles to anyone looking for a bike.

Smith Sports Cycle is located off Skyland boulevard here in Tuscaloosa. They carry HONDA, YAMAHA, KAWASAKI and SEADOO. Smiths has been in business for as long as I can remember. I have always been treated well and I plan to purchase my next SXS here. Go ask for Ricky if you want a deal!

Really enjoyed dealing with the entire staff here! Purchased a 2022 ninja 400 and they made the process easy. I live 2 hours away and will definitely be making that drive if I have any issues and for services. They make you feel like family!

Great experience! John, Rick, Margie, and the awesome teams in parts and service have taken great care of me. This was my first new motorcycle purchase and they made it outstanding. Everyone went the extra mile to get me on the bike that I really wanted and I could not be happier. Will definitely recommend to anyone.

Probably the best motorcycle buying experience I have ever had! John, Pat and Margie treated me like an old friend. They had the bike prepped and waiting for me when I arrived, and the paperwork was quick and painless. OTD price was also $700 less than another nearby dealership that I initially tried to deal with.Highly recommended.

Love this place. It may take a while depending on what repair you need but it's quality work done and there aren't that many places that will work on Goldwings.

I had my heart set on a certain type of motorcycle when I walked through the doors at Smith s Sport Cycles in Tuscaloosa AL. That bike would have been a big mistake. I went in prepared to pay cash along with a trade in. Rick Smith spent time with me discussing pros and cons and helped me decide on the perfect bike for me. Then he and his staff searched until they found they exact bike I wanted. They didn t just make a sale. They made a customer for life. The Parts and Service departments are top notch as well. And the sweet lady that wraps up the deal at the end if the purchase is made of gold!! Overall, I would recommend Smith s Sport Cycles in Tuscaloosa AL to anyone that wants a good deal from people that know their business. And it s a great way to spend a little time of your day talking to some really nice and down to earth people.

This so called business has the worst cusomer service EVER! The nerve of one of their salesmen (owner's son) to have the audacity to use vulgar language towards me!!!! I'd never attempt to do business here EVER again!

If you're looking for sport cycling equipment the owner is adamant to see you get what you're looking for. Service is also in the same sentence.

I've lived in Tuscaloosa my whole life and always wanted a reason to go here, but it just wasn't feasible. Recently, I came into a position to buy a motorcycle after 20+ years. John was the first person I talked to and was very helpful with the whole process. I told him what I wanted, but they didn't have one in stock and said they would order one. Rick, the owner took time with me and made sure I was getting what I wanted. My bike arrived just as he said it would, within a week. Being a beginner rider, he also offered to work with me and get me used to it, to ensure my safety. He cares about his customers and wants them to be happy. Can t ask for anything more. The parts department was also extremely helpful. They answered all my questions and also offered their advice. The service department was also very helpful in going over the bike s features, as well as explaining the required maintenance. Last, but not least, I can t forget Ms. Connie, as she was also extremely helpful and patient with the paperwork in purchasing the bike, as well as being a very nice lady. Overall, my experience here was excellent. I ll definitely be buying from here again. Thanks Rick and Staff.

Ricky and his crew are top notch. Smith s has great inventory, competitive pricing but most of all everyone is a pleasure to deal with. Everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Whether you are a first time buyer or have been a patron of Smiths for years they will treat you with kindness and respect. Ricky will personally go out of his way to make your purchase a fantastic experience. Smiths is FIVE STARS!

This is why it's always better to buy from a small family business. I saved over $2400 total on two Rubicons just by driving 45 minutes. The whole experience is better. Pat, Rick and the ladies in the office took great care of me.I'll be back!

I am a person who doesn't make decision on major purchases very quickly. I visited Smith's several times and was never pressured and they were very helpful and friendly. No pressure was every put on me to purchase and they let me sit on any motorcycle I wanted to. I made my decision and got a very good price. I purchased the bike and Rick had me ride a bike around the vacant lot to get acclimated again, it had been a long time since I last rode. I really appreciate their friendliness and they don't forget you after the sale. I am very happy with my new motorcycle and with the whole experience. Thanks to Rick and his staff for the great experience. I am putting a lot of enjoyable miles on my CTX700.Andy Harris

Outstanding service! These guys have the knowledge to answer all my questions and took the time to help me make the right purchase. The guys in the service area went over my new bike from top to bottom with me and were courteous and professional the entire time. I never once felt like they were trying to push me out the door. They work hard to build customer relationships, thanks guys for all the help.

They work with you is any and every way possible. Will only go here for my cycle needs in the future. Thank you so much guys for making my bike dream a reality!!

Great purchasing experience! I wanted a rare 2016 Honda NM4 and Rick found one in Colorado and had it shipped to his store. Yes, I had to pay for that shipping but I really wanted this bike. Rick called me every step of the way and informed me of any changes. He even negotiated the shipping price down for me. When I hit 600 miles, I'll let you know how the service department is.

Can t say enough good things about this place. Mr. Ricky is a great man to do business with. He is more worried about putting his customers in the machine that is right for them rather than the most expensive machine at the dealership. His commitment to after the sale customer service is the best I ve ever seen, and I buy lots of toys. For many years I have drove past several dealerships to do business with Mr. Ricky and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I have bought several units from Rick Smith at Smith's Sport Cycles over the years. Every time I go in there the staff is so friendly and welcoming it just makes you feel comfortable while you shop. Recently I had a check engine light come on on my Honda Rubicon ATV, I stopped by Smith's shop to have it looked at and his tech stopped what he was doing to take care of my 10-15 minute problem right then so I wouldn't have to come back. If that isn't good service, I don't know what is. No reason to drive out of town to purchase if in or around Tuscaloosa Alabama.. Smith's is the place to go. I have done business with these guys many time in the past, and will definitely do business with them again in the future. Thanks again guys!

I have bought a lot of bikes and 4 wheelers from Smiths Sport Cycles and my most recent was a 2017 Honda Africa Twin that I wasn t quite sure I would like, but after discussing the pros and cons with Ricky Smith who has always steered me in the right direction with his knowledge of motorcycles, gave me an excellent deal as always and also has provided me with awesome service thru the parts and shop department, the Africa Twin is so much more than I could have imagined. Thanks to Ricky Smith for always looking out for me and the great service y all provide.

My husband and I purchased our first PWCs from Smith's today and it was a great experience. We would 100% recommend this crew for all your watercraft/cycle needs. The start to our search was not as pleasant. Everyone said try Birmingham because it's better pricing, so we did. We ended up at what we thought was a reputable company, only to be mislead and misinformed about how they run your credit. Then hounded with text and phone calls. We felt totally manipulated. I was told they would only hit my credit one time, when in FACT, It hit my credit FIVE times. And YES, each time counted against me, when they told me it would only count as one. I was later told that this is a tactic that dealers sometimes use so that when you "shop around" you cant get a better deal and end up going back to them. We had already made up our mind that we would rather not have a PWC than return to their business. We ended up stopping by Smith's one day just out of curiosity. Ricky and John greeted me immediately and were eager to assist me. I gave them the run down of my experience in Birmingham and they made me feel like family. They discussed each option with me, pros and cons of each ski, making me feel very informed of the decision we were making. Once we decided on the 2 we wanted, they worked up a price that was far better than the folks in Birmingham. They introduced me to Ms. Connie, who again made me feel at home. She took care of all my financing needs. Because the "other" place had made such a mess only credit, she had to fight a little to get me to a reasonable rate but I felt confident that we were getting the best deal with Smith's, all around. Making a large purchase is an important decision and frankly gives me anxiety, but they eased all those tensions and went above and beyond in every way. I could not be happier with this purchase and I look forward to returning to my Smith's "family" for services and future purchases.

We had taken our bike to another place to have it service and were not satisfied. (The bike came back with new scratches and was left out in the weather.) We took our bike to Smith's because we heard good things about them and saw the good reviews on the internet. We were not disappointed. The bike was kept in a shed and looked just as good as it did when we left it. Jack, the service manager, explained everything that needed to be done to the bike and even told us if it didn't need something done. We actually paid a little more for the service at Smith's, but it was totally worth it.

Terrible experience, do not take any thing here for a recall service. They will tell you that they are working on it, and lie to you. I left my bike there for 3 months and all they were capable of doing was taking the fenders off, and let the battery die. They will put your stuff off to do simpler and quicker jobs to appease the masses. I called several different times to check on the progress of my bike. The first time I called they said that they were starting on it at the end of the week (this was 2 months after I first dropped it off). The second time I called (a week later) they said it would be finished around the middle of the week. The third time I called to check on the progress, I was informed that they were too busy to work on it and had better things to work on. I gave them one more week before I called again and they told me that my bike was on the lift and that they had a couple hours of work into it. The next day I went up there in person to see what exactly was going on. I walked into the shop to see how my bike was coming along, and unsurprisingly I find that my bike is not being worked on. I walked out of the shop to find Ricky (the owner) and talk to him to figure out why they keep putting me off, and all I get from him is the same thing I get from the service manager, that they are too busy with more important things to work on my bike that has been there for at least 3 months at this point. He proceeds to tell me that they had actually promised to work on someone else's bike (with the same issue) first, but since I had dropped mine off first they would 'try' to work on mine. I inevitably decided to take my bike as it was and I will be taking it all the way to Birmingham for my service recall. This is some very crappy business coming from somewhere we've bought multiple bikes, 4-wheelers, and side by sides, and where I would always go to get parts from. I will never be using such a lying piece of trash business again. All they care about is $$$ and not providing good service to what used to be a loyal customer.

Go to Smiths and see Ricky for your Power Sport purchases. Every one was so helpful from start to finished on the purchase of my waverunner! Ricky made sure before I drove off the lot that I was knowledgeable about taking proper care it. Extremely nice staff!

Had been gone overseas for 20 years came home stop by smith sport cycle to get a part and was looking at getting 2 of their bikes. Rude employee in the parts department Barely help me saying things like we not going to have that didn t even attempt to look it up the part for my 2018 Honda pcx150 clutch. They lost a customer that day went to Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spend $40,000 cash . Harley-Davidson shop got great customer service.

I'm not really sure who is in charge of repairs, but they've had our 4 wheeler since June. We were told when we took it up there it may be "a week or two" before it was looked at. Cool, that's ok. We had an extended warranty on it.. my husband told them BEFORE anything is done to it let him know what's wrong and if it would be covered under the warranty. My husband has had to call every couple weeks since then to ask about our 4 wheeler. We have been told oh, the guy that was working on it doesn't work here anymore.. let us find out and call you back. No one ever calls back. He will call again, another person doesn't work there anymore- well we see where parts were ordered- let us call you back.. He calls back today and again we are told no one knows what the hell is going on with our 4 wheeler. It's almost the middle of September and no one knows what's up. Someone finally calls back today and tells my husband parts are over $800 & he needs to call about the extended warranty himself! All of which we could have done MONTHS AGO. If you guys can't get things done or keep the employees to get things done you should tell people. We could have easily taken this to another shop and pretty sure we would have already had the 4 wheeler back. *The previous is my original review. Since then we have contacted the BBB about this experience. It was a constant back and forth since repairs were done that we were not called and spoken to about before they performed them. My husband asked for the owner to call him and we have never recieved the first phone call. We were told to just "square up our bill and get our 4 wheeler" Which we did only after we found out through the response the business made to the BBB. On 10/6/18 my husband picked up our 4 wheeler and paid the over $800 to get it back. The next day when the 4 wheeler was actually able to be driven, about 15 minutes into the ride it started making a horrid noise. So I called the service department the next business day and spoke with the service manager. We were told to bring it back and if it was something they had just repaired or retaining to the repairs they made they would take care of it; if it wasn't they didn't know what to tell me. So my husband drops it back off. He just picked it back up this morning (10/18/18). Turns out a repair they made broke and apparently after speaking to Yamaha about it they said the big tires are causing the problem and they fixed it this time, but if it happens again basically we are on our own. We did not make any mods to the tires or rims on the 4 wheeler. That's what was on there when we bought it in 2016 from a dealer- not Smith's. We took it to Smith's to begin with because it is closer and more convenient. Lesson learned. Smith's will never get any business from us and if anyone ever asks me I'll be sure to let them know this is the last place you want to deal with. It also may be worth mentioning that when my husband picked up our 4 wheeler this morning the service manager was asked by the owner to ask my husband if he could talk to me about removing my review from social media. If I did we were offered an oil change (no charge for labor) What would have been nice and perhaps warranted my removing of this review was some sort of contact from the owner himself trying to make the situation right. I don't feel we should have paid for the labor to begin with since we in no way authorized the repairs that were made. I'm sure if anyone responds to this they'll throw up my husband signing an invoice sheet the first time he dropped it off, and he did- it was blank. Someone majorly dropped the ball and from the looks of the reviews about the service department, it isn't the first time.
