Dropped off my daily driver for an estimate. Weekly calls with no update. No estimate ever provided, only told repairs had begun. 60+ days later, yes 60, informed that his mechanic had broken a hose unrelated to repairs. They couldn t source the part. Forced to pay for repair and vehicle couldn t be started. Had to pay to have it towed to another mechanic. One star is far too many.100% Do NOT Recommend

Great service, and fast. I always heard you pay for whatcha get! Well if that's the case I would recommend don't dare spend your money with anyone else. This is hands down the top of the list when it comes transmission replacement or repair. No matter what there price is your will still be in the best hands with them. Faster then you can blink

Donnie is the man in Tuscaloosa when it comes to anything transmission related and Joey is a chip off the old block and has been for decades. Stop by or give them a call and see just how good these guys are. You won't regret it and you can thank me later.

The folks here know their job. They were super informative about the problem with my transmission. They were able to repair and return our truck within the timeline given. The estimate of the repair was right on without hidden added cost.Thanks Donnie, Joey, the girls in the office and the guys in the shop. Y'all were great.

My son and family visiting from Kansas for Christmas had their vehicle transmission go out on arriving in Tuscaloosa on Dec 23. . On advice from a neighbor, we had it towed to Bryant Transmission even though they were closed until Dec 26. We went early on the 26th met with Mr. Bryant and discussed the problem and how my son needed to head back to Kansas for work by the 29th. They immediately diagnosed the problem and went to work. They called us daily to update the status and on the 28th called that the vehicle was ready. We could not have asked for better service!Service: Transmission

I've had friends use Donnie for years and they always had a great experience. So it was a no brainer when I needed work done on mine. Satisfied is putting it mildly. I'd recommend them ANY time.

I just relocated from Cincinnati Ohio for a job here in Tuscaloosa my transmission went out in my Chevrolet PU after a week I got 3 recommendations from co workers to use Donnie Bryant Transmissions. Im a mechanic myself but no garage here renting a apartment anyway they did a excellent job and fixed a few other minor problems and was right on the estimate they quoted and my truck drives great. Keep up the good work and honesty guys. And thanks for the excellent job.

My friend had her suv in for a bad seal and cancelled erthe job and during the following week had hip surgery. When she asked that i check on it ,on a Wednesday I was defered to the following days as convenient and Monday was ase holiday. On Friday she got a call from an impound with a 185$ due . I arranged to get the car saturday as then i could secure a 2nd driver for the 90 mile round trip and i arrived with my 185$plus15$ agreed for the overnight. The receiept showed 3 days storage. I figured the timeframe should have allowed me to get the suv from the shop for no fee. Im not going to persue it further. The young man whom detained the suv is doing his job raising a family and his income is justly earned. If someone there can clearly establish the facts of the discrepancy i will be appreciative. I've heard nothing but positive things about D.B.and would no doubt recommended him .

Recently visited this place of business to ask when would be a good time to look at my transmission. One of the mechanics said it would be best to leave over night so they can check it out. So I did! I dropped my car off on Monday 1/13/20 and had to wait til Friday 1/17/20 to find out they never even Attempted to touch my car. Was literally in the same place I left it when dropped off. Beyond frustrated!!!!

My vehicle was repaired properly and it is running fine.My only problem was the amount of time it took for what turned out to be a 10 minute repair.(In the shop 8 days). The crew was very nice and helpful and I will probably go back.

As we were nearing our destination, our car started misfiring and shaking, and fortunately we took the nearest exit and wound up here. They scanned the car for issues, and told us what was wrong free of charge. It really saved us and although they don t do that sort of stuff, they were happy to help.

Took my truck in for some repairs a few months back and things seemed fine up until one evening when my transmission started slipping again. Once again, I took my truck for a diagnosis from Donnie Bryant Transmission. They gave me an estimate of $1600 to rebuild. I decided to go with another transmission shop closer to where I work which led to me having to pay $150 for them diagnosing and taking the transmission which was fine. When I told them that another shop would fix the truck and that I would have it towed from their shop things seemed well. They told me they would leave the transmission with all of the parts in the back of my truck. From the moment that the current shop received my transmission, I've received phone calls stating that parts are missing. I went back to Donnie Bryant to get the rest of the parts which consisted of the torque converter. I assumed this was all that was needed. Once again I got a call from the new shop saying that all sorts of bolts and miscellaneous parts were missing. I visited Donnie Bryant a second time only for them to go to the back and bring back a box full of all sorts of parts. Oh that's not all. For a third time, the transmission mounts were missing. It should not take 3 seperate visits to receive the parts that should've been left in my truck when it was towed and when I paid them the diagnosis fee. Do not go here. I trusted them and they neglected one of their own paying customers.

My wife and I were pulling our camper home from visiting family in Louisiana and my pickup truck blew the transmission headed home in Ohio. Pulled off the road to a motel wondering who to contact about my transmission being from out of State and went in to speak with them first thing in the morning. They made 4 phone calls and found a brand-new Ford tranny but would take several days to arrive from NC. Well the next several days the roads were closed due to an ice storm but bright and early Monday morning they were working on it and Wednesday morning it was completed and on the road home from Tuscaloosa Alabama. Needless to say, they bent over backwards to assist this disabled veteran and my wife to get us on the road home and the transmission is working flawlessly with a 36 month warranty. If we hadn't broken down and stayed at the motel next to Donnie's shop, I have no idea what we would have done. The entire staff is courteous and you pay exactly what they quoted. If you need transmission work done and especially if your from out of State I recommend Donnie's Transmission Service. Great people, great work, thank you from the Hubers from Ohio.
