This is the worst restoration shop in alabama. I would not recommend anyone to take any type of vehicles here. Took my 1965 tempest to them. It was running and I had been driving it around Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. I drove it to their shop. We wanted them to rebuild it so it would be a better running car and have the gaskets replaced also. They ended up telling me that the engine was trash and i needed to buy another engine. Took them $4000.00 to buy another engine. They continued putting me off and never bought a engine. I went back down there and ask for my cash back because I had found a engine and i was going to buy it. They put up a fuss about my cash. Had to come back the following morning and pick up my cash. They let me know that I needed to take the car elsewhere. I strongly agreed. I called a rollback to come pick it up. Then one of the guys from the shop was messing with the distributor he called himself trying to get it to run. The lady called me to the side and let me know that that the owner said for my friend and myself couldn't bring anything back to have work done. Then she let us know that we was no longer welcome there. So if yall need work done on your vehicle take it elsewhere. Yall are welcome for my review

I have used Crank N Chrome on several occasions and have been totally happy with each experience. The pricing has always been very fair and the quality of the work was fantastic. Thanks to all the employees who help me keep my old "71" Nova rolling.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Over a year ago I purchased a 1966 Ford f100, that was in need of a good restoration. I found Cranknchrome in Tuscaloosa and after talking with Trey I was convinced, I would take my truck to them. Well it's been almost a year and last Friday January 23 2020. They finished the truck and I got it back and was pleasantly surprised at how much detail they put into restoring my vehicle and want to say they do excellent work and do the work right.

Love is friendships in the name of love/ Jesus Christ. Kip, Trey and Lynn are such a great testament of what that is. They have always been the best at what they do in always being examples of of great characters and values. I love them dearly, can't thank them enough for continuing to help me and my family through the best and hardest times of my life. My father loved all of them like family and they treat us with the same likeness. We love you , Lynn, Kip & Trey. You guys are the best~

these are truly amazing people! my daughter is a student in tuscaloosa and her car was hit by a truck in the dorm parking lot, the driver fled the scene and left her car sitting there with the entire rear bumper shroud laying on the parking lot behind her car! i m 700 miles away and obviously can t get there to do anything quickly, the guys at crank n chrome were referred to me by a local friend from tuscaloosa, they were able to secure the bodywork temporarily in order to get the car over to the shop and then get everything all put back together and get her on the road before class even started! these are amazing and generous people who are honest and skilled at what they do! i can t say enough good things about them and there business.Service: Body & Trim

Took my truck in for a full restoration, it took over 2 years. They told me that it would be done by the end of the month for a year. I finally get it back, it s all over the road , isn t running right, and the doors and hood aren t aligned , the wheels aren t center in the rear. Very unprofessional, isn t what I paid for. The steering wheel is also loose.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Welding, Brakes, Air conditioning
