This was our second attempt to "buy local" and was a fail again...Took my vehicle in to be appraised for a possible trade and had already built/picked out a new vehicle. 1 hour in the dealership and a test drive of a different vehicle later, we were told that the appraiser was not even in that day and that we should hear something by the next morning around 0900. To no ones surprise, no call was received. Meanwhile... the vehicle that was located for me was sold from under them as we were supposedly still waiting on an appraisal. My husband inquired about making a deal on the vehicle that is did the test drive in. (There was still no response on appraisal) I did a private sale on my vehicle the next day still "waiting" for a response from Barkley on my second choice. This went on for another day (let's not forget that I had sold my vehicle on my own. We finally decided to go to another dealer and ended up locating and purchasing my first choice. Fast-forward... my new vehicle need to be serviced so we contacted Barkley as this was an issue to be covered by warranty. made an appointment for 0900 on a Thursday. My vehicle sat parked for the entire day and had not been touched. The next evening around 2pm I called to check the status and got the "We were just about to call you" response. I was told that the tech needed to run another test on the vehicle and that I would be called in a few hours with the result. "Surprise!" No call. My husband called them to inquire about the status of the vehicle around 5pm. He was told that the machine that my vehicle was to be tested on was broken and that I could come pick it up and take it to another dealership. Mind you, this was a Friday afternoon now well after 5pm when we went to pick it up as they closed at 6 and were already letting down the rollup doors when I arrived. As was the other dealership... "Pontiac, Cadillac, GMC, Barkley did not make it easy!" (I only chose one star because I could not submit this novel without a rating)

My sales person Ada Black was very professional. Very informative. Educated me on my vehicle. Great attitude, consistently checking on me and my new purchase. I think her so much. My experience was spectacular.

I believe this was the easiest purchase that I have ever made concerning a vehicle! Ms. Ada was so helpful and so easy to work with. The finance team was great! I hope that this purchase has begun a longtime relationship with the Barkley GMC family.

Had my Yukon XL in for service and the oil change was fine. However they were supposed to rotate my tires and I found out they had not do so. After questioning, I discovered that the guy in the shop could not get one of the lug nuts off due to a damaged lug. They would have let me check out without notifying me of the problem thereby if I had a flat on that wheel, I or my wife could have been stranded on the side of the road because we couldn t change the tire out on the road. After I found the issue and they investigated and found out what had happened in the shop, they insisted that I go ahead and pay at checkout for the service and they would talk to the shop supervisor and then call me back that day to reschedule a time to get the damaged lug replaced and then rotate the tires as was the original plan. As of this response, have not heard anything back from Barkley and I m still driving around with a wheel I can t remove if I have a flat tire. This is a huge safety issue they were about to let me leave without informing me of the problem, much less repair it.

Had my car serviced here today. Friendly staff and they work hard to make their customers happy. It was amazing to see almost an empty lot where you would normally see many, many new Buick s, GMCs, and Cadillacs. I hope things get back to normal soon.Service department did a great job. Definitely recommend this place.

Very good overall. Courtney was very nice and professional as was other associates I encountered. Oil change and tire rotation took about an hour while I waited and very reasonably priced.

This was the first service on my new Buick Envista which was my first car purchase since I am in college. I was treated very well and my advisor made sure I knew everything they did on my car and let me know that the inspection was perfectly fine and that my car was technically still brand new!

HORRIBLE service!! Bought a truck from here and these cons put a ton of "sealer" on my transmission and lied about inspection selling it to me knowing how much was wrong with the vehicle. I've already had to put a few thousand in to fix other things with the suspension etc and now it's my transmission, one of the most expensive issues. Should be ILLEGAL to COVER UP problems when selling a vehicle!! BE CAREFUL when buying from this lot. Clearly I'm not the only one having to deal with their BAD SERVICE and LIES.

Take photos of your vehicle before you take it in for service.I took my Sierra in for an airbag recall, and later in the day after I got it back I noticed that there were 2 new large cracks in my dashboard.I understand that these dashes crack easy, but the fact that whatever technician caused this damage made no effort to mention or rectify it does not speak well for the service department at Barkley. Whoever broke it, knows they broke it.The service department had already left for the day by the time I made it back over there. This review will be updated once I am able to speak to the head of the service department on Monday, 6/13.I know my truck isn t a brand new Denali, but it s still my truck that I care about.UPDATE 6/13/22: I was able to speak with Sam Norris. Who not only apologized for this happening, but took the initiative to order me a new dashboard without me even having to ask for it. I don t judge a business on their mistakes, but rather how they handle them. Well done, Barkley.

Went in for an alignment and came back in less than a week and mentioned the problem still persist and they refused to do the service again and/or refund. Paid $160 for them to not fix the problem. Customer service is horrible as they will not call you back when mentioned to where I had to stomp up there after waiting 3 days for an update just for them to say they can't do anything else or relook at it. Do not reccomend

Have been using them for my car maintenance for over a year and have always been very satisfied. However, I recently had a balance and tire rotation done and in less than 24hrs the center cap on my wheel was missing. I called and was told that it was missing when the tire service man received my car for service but they would review the video tapes. I was then told that I left with all center caps intact and there was nothing they could do since I left my service with them all there. I explained my frustrations that it was their fault it fell off and was told all they could do was give me a discounted oil change. So now i am out $60 on a car part that they didnt properly assemble. Needless to say I will not be using their services in the future.

Barkley kept my truck 2 days for a check engine light. When I got it back within 25 miles the light came back on. Called the next morning about getting it back to them and they are too busy to look at it this week.

I came in for routine service, oil change, etc. I also ask that they check the rear driver side door because it would not open from the inside. It took 4 hours but they found and repaired the problem which was inside the door panel.

Very kind and quick service. The only thing that would make this a 10 is if they would offer more variety in drinks and a few snacks for people that have to wait in the waiting room.

Avoid the headache and go here. I didn't for other reasons but I did bring my wife here a month or two after. That's how good the impression was that they left. On top of that they were so straight forward that I felt comfortable enough to leave my wife there alone to finish signing the paperwork.

I dropped my car off on a Sunday for early bird service. I was told it would be ready at 1. I made it to the dealership around 3 something and was told it would be another 45 minutes. We left the dealership after 5:30. I'm definitely not pleased.

Had requested service appointment online and called dealership to be sure they had received. Let service advisor know the specific problems. Called day of appointment at lunch time to check on progress and was advised at that point they only have one person to run diagnostics for transmission concerns. At that time was told would be 1 1/2-2 weeks before it would be looked at. Up until this point had not been told about this time frame. The truck is fine to drive just wanted few things checked to be sure not a transmission problem coming. Advised service advisor could not be without truck for 2 plus weeks with it just waiting to be diagnosed and would be coming to pick up truck. Advisor then in his write up states customer declined diagnostics and took vehicle. That is improper documentation, I only declined to leave my truck sitting in Barkley's parking lot for 2 weeks and advised could not be without primary vehicle that length of time for it to just sit there. Very poor communication on service departments part all the way around.

Called and got an appointment. Dropped off the day before which was convenient. They called quickly with a dx, worked to get part covered under warranty, offered some suggestions, I accepted some and declined others and they didn t push. Was serviced super quickly! Will be back, hopefully not soon though.

Poor communication. I drove information exchange. Inaccurate information about the prevalence of my vehicle s problem rare when I brought it in common as time passed. The only accurate information I received was that it would take 5-7 days to begin evaluation. Over the next 30+ day I was told that the parts were there at least 3 times-not, , my truck would be the next on the lift for repair, sorry the phones were down so we couldn t return your call, we are looking for a loaner car for you, when in fact they wouldn t have a loaner car for me until they determined that they could complete the repair in 10 days. I did finally get a loaner vehicle, but bore the burden of no transportation for more than 3 weeks. This is absolute the worst experience with a brand/dealer I have ever experienced. I called to speak with the general manager about my experience. He was not available, and returned my call the next day. In his defense, my phone did not get his message, and I just assumed it was business as usual. When I finally got his message, I called back and asked to speak with him again. Never got a call back. I have bough/leased 4 vehicles from this dealership over the years. I tried to buy the current vehicle from them but my sales person could not find anything without ordering it and waiting a long time. I went online and found what I wanted at Bill Smith GMC in Cullman, Al. I called at 9:30 am, they called back before lunch, and my new truck was delivered to my door by 3:30 pm the same day. This is the second GMC truck I have experienced transmission issues with. I have spoken to other people who say that this is a very common issue. Your brand performance and dealership experience are driving me to try other brands, and if I do buy anotheGMC truck, I will take it the other GM dealer in town for service, or drive an hour away to avoid dealing with Barkley GMC.
